Lived here for two years on a second floor corner apartment. I enjoyed living there. The semi-open parking lot never gave me parking trouble. The walls are a little thin in the bathrooms, hence why it is 4 instead of 5 stars. The maintenance was very quick and efficient. My apartment was in great condition. Good place to live

If I could give less stars I would. It is ALWAYS an issue with this apartment, and I'm not sure where to even start. First, The fat lady in the office with curly hair is the most ignorant, rude, obnoxious person I have EVER in my life came in contact with... She is good for absolutely nothing and I'm sure there are hundreds of people that need a job that could perform it better than she can. Second, the big manager is never in, I've requested to speak to the person in charge so many times and every single time there is an excuse as to why it can't be done. Third, you have "security systems" in the apartment, that don't work for anything. Mine went off randomly for over an hour one morning, and I had to continuously call to get someone out to turn it off, but regardless if that was a real crime, no officers showed up, nobody called..nothing. Fourth, We have a 2 year old daughter, the couple below us has a baby as well... They have complained(called police, and office) so many times about my daughter walking around, or even us just walking around.. at 10am, 11pm..doesn't matter what time..They call... We pay 1400 dollars a month for my child to be "seen and not heard" and it's a shame. I can only hope when they're daughter is 2 yrs old someone complains on them as much as they have complained on us. Fifth, There was someone that USE to be on the lease that we went back and forth with to get off the lease for SOOO long, she kept going up there and requesting keys and coming into our apartment messing things up, breaking things etc..Finally was told she was "officially" off, and somehow was given another key... Have a restraining order on her, and seen her leaving the office and the office couldn't tell me anything... It is NOT her apartment, & you'd think they'd take the restraining order into consideration. Sixth. The gate is broken ALLLL the time, It's not as "safe" as they want you to think it is.. I do NOT recommend living here.

Having lived here a few years on and off, I have a good grasp of this apartment complex. Ultimately, many others are the same and there are a lot of variables that can make your experience good or bad. Hopefully this review will help you decide your next place of residence. I would like to put in that since this complex is getting old I would STRONGLY advise to get renters insurance in case of a bad storm or anything else. However, they do not require you to do so in order to rent. Pros: -The location of this apartment complex and the few others on this road (Gate parkways west) is ideal for several reasons. -Close to Butler and I-95. -Publix is just down the road, you do not have to drive on a major road, there's a shortcut near the Lincoln dealership. Probably about a mile there and back. -If you are located in the middle of the complex you will not hear butler. -Great location as it is close to everything yet at the same time you feel secluded. -Maintenance is great! The lawn upkeep I think is a bit excessive but it is regularly maintained. Also, the maintenance workers are excellent people. -You can wash your car in a small area near the back of the complex. -Apartments look really great compared to some others we visited. High ceilings are a plus. -They have some units with hardwood floors (dark) I think it is a nice touch but it could be a bad thing depending on how well they take care of it. -Variety of amenities. There are two pools, a gym with a kids room, indoor basketball court, computer room, and a leisure room where you can also play billiards. -Trash is picked up almost everyday. Cons: -Really, a big part of your experience is also your neighbors. If you don't have good neighbors. Prepare yourself. I have had a bad experience. They do not take noise complaints very seriously (although they say otherwise). And please do not take it the wrong way. I do not get upset over common noises. But bass shaking my walls at 3 am is something else. This happened repeatedly no matter what. -Speeders. Management really needs to push for placing speed bumps at close intervals around here. Too many people speed down the straight-away and corners. I have seen some pretty close calls with people walking to their cars, pets, kids walking home and people backing out. This problem is very bad around corners as you cannot hear them sometimes. -Amenities. Yes this was on the Pros list but here is a big reason why it is also bad. Too many non-residents use the amenities. I have seen non-residents just go to the pool all the time. That one is not as bad as this one though. Indoor basketball court. Thornton park should be called Apartment complex with public amenities paid for by residents. Yes, do not plan on using the basketball court so much. Especially on weekdays after normal working hours. They throw their trash in the parking lot and take up all the spaces. Even the handicap spots. They think they are entitled to it and most have the codes from their friends and it spreads from there. And no, they can't do anything about it because it is just too much money. If you decide to live here you are gonna have to be okay with that. -The gate. Many people do not know how to open it so they either stay forever at the keypad or wait for someone to exit and they will go in through the wrong way. I think the problem is that the gate is too close to the keypad. They should have planned this better. Also, don't bother wasting money on a clicker. It is broken half the time from people ramming/hitting the gates with their vehicles. -Price. They can do better than this. You can't stop greed though. Really, rent a house unless you are splitting rent with someone. -"Luxury" I wouldn't say anything about this place is luxurious except for maybe the high ceilings and great amenities that we cannot use.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The location is central to everything. The staff seem to go out of their way to help the residents. There is free breakfasts every Sunday, the gym is small but personal, and they have get-togethers to try and involve residents once or twice a month with movies and parties. On top of that, we are in love with the apartment: no noises, abundant parking, and very spacious :-)

Overall my Thornton Park experience was good, great maintence staff, and overall friendly office staff. Prices go up when you go to renew. However my number one tip would be DO NOT LIVE NEAR THE POOL the music is way too loud and the office does not listen to requests to keep it at a normal volume, I gave up on asking. I feel like I'm back in college with party people next door. Most times when it is loudest they are gone and the after hours staff "doesn't have the key" to the room that controls the volume? Also it stays on till about 8 at night. If you have kids this is something to consider.

This apartment is an absolute nightmare. The office staff alone is horrendous. They are completely unhelpful and have a very significant record of overcharging or taking money that you don't owe from your account and not correcting it. When you ask for help their standard response is "I'm not sure we can do that." so you ask for the manager and are told that the manager isn't available but will call you back. Then they never actually call you back. Pretty sure this complex is using their business as a way to steal money from their tenants. Something shady is definitely going on.
