I don't generally rate companies... even when I've had some trouble with them.  But this deserves a special five minutes of my time.   I have been trying to get my item delivered to my home for two weeks.   This has been a very frustrating experience.   Hopefully it shows up in one piece!

I ordered a 300lb bar cabinet and the seller unfortunately used AIT to deliver, so the Dallas AIT office delivered to my home. The first  delivery day 2 men arrived and once they saw I had a flight of stairs they stated that they'd have to reschedule and get a 3 man crew. The 2nd delivery guys did not call 30 minutes prior as they were instructed to do, and they arrived 1 hour PRIOR to the delivery time-frame; luckily I was home.  The 3 men got the cabinet up the 1 flight of stairs (17 steps) with much difficulty and dragged the box across the hardwood floors, which left a path of scratches that I'll hopefully be able to buff out.  Upon opening the box to the  cabinet near it's final resting spot, they noticed the 2 inch gash on the left side of the unit.  When they opened it, there was glass and the mirror was shattered.  The delivery men instructed me to make notes of this on the delivery notification and then to contact Howard Miller because "they can maybe buff it out or something" and "they can probably replace the glass."  One of the movers remarked "this was heavy; what are you gonna do when you move again?"  I told him that I would hire movers.  The repair wasn't an option and the seller shipped a replacement unit, with AIT. So they arrived for the second delivery (1hr ahead of the promised window) and were planning on dropping off the new unit and leaving me with the damaged one. They had to call to get authorization to pick up the damaged unit. This time the only damage I've noted so far is a scuff mark and chipped paint on a wall.

Like the other reviewers who had bad experience, add me to the list.  Ordered a TV from TIgerDirect on black Friday, which in itself started off on a the wrong foot since they were backordered, so they charged my credit card even though the TV did not ship out until two  weeks later.  Then they sent me an email to follow up myself with AIT. VIsited their website to track the shipment, contacted them via phone and was given a local contractor delivery number here in NYC.  From here on the experience is like a nightmare. Was -stood up 2x for a delivery range from 8AM - 8PM.  This is horrible since I had to take off from work 1 day, then lost a Sunday of last minute Xmas errands.  I"m requesting a refund and they better give it to me.  I should've just bought from Best Buy.  At least you get to carry it home right away.  The savings is totally not worth this headache!!!  This company and it's affiliated delivery contractors deserve ZERO STARS.  Especially the local company, since they left me a message 2x for a confirmation delivery when I gave them an alternate number to call. They leave NO CALLBACK numbers.  So, there's no way for you to get in touch with them.  It's  a one way street.  Bad, all around.

i bought a sony tv form sony online store, AIT WORLDWIDE was the carrier for this TV-The shipment from LA to NC toke 7 Days,-The driver left the Tv in the street ! i live in second floor apartment!! i but this information on them web when i scheduled the delivery to my apartment !!! -The TV box was crashed form the shipping!!! -Tv screen was broken because od the damaged while shipping...-i order to return the TV, it toke a 10days to schedule a pickup date because of the second floor pickup problem!!!!-they send me a 85 years old driver, to handle by his self a 60 inch tv from second floor, (i called them and they told me´´he can do it!!!) the shipment take 20DAY to travel from charlotte NC to Dalas texas!!!! Yes 20 DAYS......don't every send any think with them at all!!!!

Wow....this is the worst shipping company I've ever encountered.I ordered a TV through a third-party merchant and suppose they selected AIT to deliver the TV. The original delivery indicated it could be expected sometime Thursday, June 18 - Monday, June 22. I didn't really expect that to be true, so when I didn't get a call from them until Monday, June 22 to actually schedule the delivery it wasn't too surprising.The first annoying thing I encountered was that the only window I could select was from 12 pm - 4 pm, Monday through Friday. So if you have a daytime job, you will without a doubt be taking time off work. They said they would call one hour before the expected delivery to help cut down the window. I scheduled the delivery for Wednesday, June 24 between 12 pm - 4 pm.On Wednesday, I waited at home all afternoon, with no call. Around 3:10, I figured I should call as I was worried if they hadn't called an hour before the end of the delivery window, I may not be getting the TV. When I called, I was told the truck that had my TV had broken down and they were waiting on a tow. I understand that things like that happen, so at this point I still wasn't too frustrated, but it would have been nice for them to give me a call and be proactive rather than waiting for the customer to call. Anyway, I was able to reschedule the delivery and explained I had already taken work off that afternoon to wait for the delivery, so I really needed it to be before or after hours the next day. They said that would not be a problem and rescheduled the delivery for before 9 am on Thursday, June 25.The morning of June 25, again I had not received a call by 8:15 am, so I was again worried something was going to go wrong with the delivery. I called AIT and had someone check around 8:15 am, and their response was that the package was out for delivery, so I was excited that it was actually going to come by 9 am. As 9 am came and passed, I thought maybe they were just a bit delayed.However, at 9:05 am, I got a call from them saying that the driver was tied up in Beverly Hills (my delivery was for Hollywood, so about 20-25 minutes apart) performing white-glove services and that my delivery would not be coming until closer to 11/11:30 am. Naturally, this was extremely frustrating, not only had I called to confirm the delivery was still coming which would have been a great time to tell me, "No, don't expect to wait for 1 hour, it will actually be closer to 3 hours."I then called their corporate number again and they put me through to a supervisor who informed me that the customer in Beverly Hills was a last minute white-glove service customer (whereas I'm sure my TV delivery was at the bottom in terms of price), and that the driver had tried to make it there before 9 am, but would be tied up until about 11 am or 11:30 am with my delivery in his truck, and of course, they cannot ask the driver to leave in the middle of the white-glove service. I asked why my 5 minute delivery, which was supposed to be done before 9 am, got pushed back 2-2.5 hours by something that came up at the last minute. I understand prioritizing the customers that pay more, but my shipment was already messed up the day before, and since I requested it to be delivered before 9 am, shouldn't they have delivered my TV and then headed out to this 2-2.5 hour job by 9 am? It makes no sense that they would skip a 5 minute delivery to do this unless they were already running behind on my delivery and thought, "Screw it, we're already late for this guy so we might as well just make one customer happy and really piss off the other." The supervisor also did not know why that happened, but although she was dealing with me in a frustrated mood, she clearly (along with every other person I spoke to at any point in time - the person that scheduled the delivery, the driver that told me I would be waiting until 11:30, etc.) has no training in customer service and had an attitude when she asked "What do you want me to do?!" Given the other ratings on Yelp, I'm not surprised.I asked her, do you only have 1 delivery person in Los Angeles? Send another truck to go get my delivery and take it to me so that I'm not stuck here for 2.5 hours, if not longer given this company's track record on meeting estimated delivery times (0 for 2). She asked if she could put me on hold and then called to see if she could do that. She got back on the line and said she would have to reach out to dispatch to see if there was anyone in the area that could get to it sooner, but that it would take some time before she would know and before she could provide an update, I said that would be fine and that I appreciated her effort. It wasn't a great start, but she could have just said there's nothing she could do, so that was the one moment I appreciated in trying to get the delivery.The TV eventually arrived around 10:30 am. Not quite the delay they had indicated, but still a frustrating ordeal.

Pure incompetence. I ordered a 100 pound tv stand from TigerDirect. I had the misfortune of them shipping through Ait. Once I got the email that said my package was at their regional center I was invited to pick a delivery date and timeframe.I chose the closest date which was 2 days later. They are supposed to confirm your delivery via email within 2 days. When I did not receive confirmation, I did online chat with support, who gave me a phone number, which I called, which transferred me to another person who basically informed me that my delivery wasn't scheduled and invited me to schedule delivery for today. My 5 hour window expired 40 minutes ago. Still waiting!They had the gall to brag on their website that they enter 50% of tracking numbers into their system. Thats an abysmal percentage! All in all be prepared for horrible customer service and late delivery. Its always awesome to make sure you're home after work and stay up waiting for no reason. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

This company has to be the most incompetent and difficult set of people. If only I could give 0 stars. The WORST shipping company ever. AVOID AT ALL COST!! I ordered a TV through groupon. As soon as I checked the shipping status I  realized that they were using this company to ship my tv. I had never heard of them before so I figured I would call and give them a heads up  to deliver my package to my leasing office (like every other  company does with all our packages with no problem) since I lived in an apartment and they would not have access to my door. Long story short, they initially said they would deliver it but they called me back to tell me that they would not deliver the tv to my leasing office and are waiting on approval from 'corporation' or so they say. It's been 2 days and counting...I have called them and all they keep telling me is I'm sorry BUT...they show no concern or any attempt at being proactive.

I was scared when I learned my Turbosound Subwoofers were being shipped via AIT, after reading all the 1-star reviews. From their stories they sure experienced some bad, to say the least, if not nightmarish events receiving their goods.Thankfully, I have a different story. I am not paid, or affiliated with AIT other than Sweetwater Music chose to use them to deliver my goods.First, my products arrived 3 days early. That isn't so uncommon but worth something...The agent who called to arrange the delivery was extremely polite and helpful. The driver Anthony was awesome. Very nice guy. I only spoke to him on the phone, to tell him my parents would be waiting to sign while I was at work. My parents also spoke very highly of him.It is unfortunate that all the other people didn't have the same experience I did. I hope that AIT is reading my review, but more importantly the 1-stars, as to me they have proven to be a 5-star company. Thanks AIT!

Terrible company, avoid if possible!I ordered a 50" TV from TigerDirect (great company btw) and they shipped it through AIT. First off, they never contacted me, though they had my email and phone number, to let me know that they received it and was waiting for me to schedule a delivery. 3 days after they received it I was made aware via email that I could now schedule a delivery. I called and they gave me a 2 day wait time. It was scheduled to come anywhere between 12-4pm which gave me a huge window to sit around and do a whole lot of nothing for the day. By 3:30pm and no TV, I called the service number and they directed me to another number to track my package. After they hung up on me and I called back, they told me that they were going to need an additional hour to get my package to me because their driver was "running a little late" as if 4 hours wasn't enough prep time. 5:00 pm rolled around and the truck finally arrived. The driver was absolutely dreadful. He walked in and asked "What's this address?" I told him and he said, as he turned around and started walking away, "I have a package for here." Already upset, I walked outside and he pulled the box off the truck no more then 4 inches (mind you it is a 50" TV and the box is rather large) and said "Sign here." I explained to him that I would not sign until I checked the box and made sure everything was in order. He stood to the side and watched as I took the box off the truck by myself and had to carry it inside by myself as he sighed, moaned and groaned. After getting it inside I opened the box and took the TV out, once again, by myself, and he said "Excuse me! Can you just sign this so I can leave?!" Once again I explained how I have to check to make sure everything was there and he rolled his eyes and head as if a child pouting. After checking, I signed and told him to have a great day and he just turned around and walked out.I have no idea how this company has survived since 1979 if this is how they operate. Worst experience ever and wish to never deal with them again!

Finally got my couch and I have to say this time around my impression of AIT somehow got even worse. The box was, of course, still badly damaged. There's a small cut on the side of the couch but at this point I don't even care and I'm happy with it.What I was unhappy with, was how rude the delivery man was. I told him the package was damaged and he was so snappy telling me I could either refuse the couch or take it. He also refused to move the truck to the loading docks at the back of the building because the couch was also partially out of the truck.My building was kind enough to take the couch from the front and I think the delivery man felt badly enough about his behavior / the shape of the package that is labeled handle with care but clearly isn't, to move the couch to my apartment (which was a huge plus: the delivery men are supposed to leave it at the ground level entrance).Honestly though, the delivery man was so rude that my concierge personally CALLED me after he left and asked if I took down his information because the way he talked to me was so unacceptable that my building does not want to deal with anyone from this company again.I can forgive the rudeness as he delivered my couch to my apartment, and I'm just happy I finally got my couch and also do not ever need to deal with this company again.

This place is horrible.  My experience is so erily similar to Richard P. below.  I ordered a 50" TV from Tigerdirect and had the misfortune of having to deal with this company to get my TV delivered.  Supposedly their "policy" is to have you schedule a delivery, however they said they tried to deliver twice and must send the TV back.  Even though I NEVER authorized any time for delivery.  What makes NO SENSE, is that for a company to say their policy is to require confirmation of a delivery window and have NO RECORDS of when or who supposedly made authorization.  They SUPPOSEDLY tried to deliver the TV twice, yet I never scheduled anything yet and they couldn't say who they spoke with or even what number they called.  There was also no note on the door to show they had even come by.  Plus my grandmother is ALWAYS home, and she would be able to hear the door if someone was knocking.  When speaking with the customer service person he was very rude and unhelpful.  If only there were negative stars I could give.

TigerDirect needs to stop using AIT.  Like everyone else here, I ordered a huge TV on TigerDirect (I wanted to support them and not Amazon, my mistake).  The delivery took 10 days.  I also don't like their system of calling to set up a time.I think UPS and Fedex are better and faster.  I am going to guess TigerDirect uses AIT to save money.The box was damaged, and the TV inside had a broken screen.  :/

This company  was the company chosen to ship my purchase from HSN. The person I spoke with was very helpful and  pleasant to deal with. I was able to schedule the delivery of my shipment and it was some what easy to do. They delivered my package very successfully. The delivery driver was very kind and made sure he took the time to not only deliver my package but o make sure the package was in good physical condition.

This the worst company I dealt with. They supposed to deliver a 60" TV before 5PM and it is 7PM now. No one called and don't know when they will be here. When I called the customer service, they said they are on the way. I wasted the whole day waiting for these looseres.

Nightmare. First, I could not get a tracking number...until the day they called to schedule delivery.on 29Jun15...13 days after TV picked up for shipment on 16Jun15. Checked into delivery terminal three days later, 19Jun15. Remained in local terminal two weekends...8 days. TV was delivered 29Jun15 about 5:30pm. Now the nightmare...I had read other one star comments on "broken Screens". Box reasonably good shape with one 'punch through' that appeared not to go through packing. 12 " gouge that appeared not to go through. Brief look over TV, all appeared well. Set TV up, turn on power. Entire upper right corner very strange colors...closer look, cracked screen. Find that SquareTrade does not cover "broken" parts. Toshiba service site says no warranty on broken screens, I have no idea where the breakage occured...factory?...shipping? It did not happen at my house...two of us were very careful in setting up.I suppose I am to 'eat' $1600. I will see if my credit card will back this charge out and ship TV back to TigerDirect.

I cannot remember having worse service from any company in any industry. Their chat operators have repeatedly misstated the status, contradicted themselves, and provided grossly inaccurate information. I will never do business with this company again, and plan to cancel any order from any retailer or vendor who tells me they use AIT for transportation services.

Extreamly terrible as a delivery company! I can't believe are still in business! They gave me a tracking # and I don't understand why because it doesn't do or tell you anything! The customer service people are very rude and I strongly recomend if you want to get your item even close to when you were told you'd get it? Call somewhere else!... Simply the worst experience I've ever had waiting for a delivery. They are in way over their heads!

You called me and left me a message to schedule a delivery, yet leave me no tracking number, or reference number. I call you back, and you want a tracking number in order to talk to me...and you cant look at any other information for me to verify. If I was a business, and I received 100's of packages a day, what kind of customer experience is that? I'm supposed to call all of my suppliers and have them track down if they used you as a shipping agent, THEN guess which package you are talking about? Very very poor business process.

I've been working in a manufacturing company now for almost 2 years and have been put in charge of all logistics; Domestic and International. I had no idea where to begin shipping International and AIT has done nothing but help me along the way. Bryan Morrison is the rep. that I keep in contact with and he has been amazing. Any time that I have had a question about the status of a shipment, or any... time that I would need a quote, I get it promptly. If Bryan isn't available, I get immediate attention from the customer service team. Jeff, Matt, and Tim just to name a few. When I started shipping, I had some awful experiences before I came across AIT. Now, they are the first that I go to.
