Normally I sympathize with those of us with bad jobs. I myself had one until recently, and I'm sure you were all aware of that. I would assume working at the post office is one of those bottom of the barrel, worlds suckiest jobs. However, of all the places I shop/frequent, I have never had more issues with the workers than at the post office. Here is just one example...

I am frequent customer of your downtown location and one of your counter employees seems to have a major chip on her shoulder! I don't know her name but she's the only counter employee of a particular race. Nothing, I repeat nothing, ever meets her standards and she is not nice about it! A few months ago, I had my 3 year old with me. Next to the supply counter is a metal stand with tape and decorative mailing supplies. On this day, my daughter was walking to where I was in line and tripped on the corner of the display. This employee yells at my daughter to stop climbing on the display!

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- Ordered a number of items from Amazon. Most of them shipped UPS. The two that were shipped USPS had problems. Those were the two I KNEW were going to have problems. Isn't it funny how one just knows... The first one, which was a bike light and somewhat fragile, was packed in a beige bubble envelope. It arrived looking like it had been through a wood chipper, open and torn in several places with black streaks all over it. Somehow and I'll never figure out how, the light survived. I should have taken a photo. It was somewhat unbelievable, the damage.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA -- The USPS "Click-N-Ship" service is promoted as being easy and simple to use. It IS easy until you try printing out a label. This online service is an unfriendly user. After all the time I've spent online just trying to print a shipping label, I could have made a trip to the post office. They take all your shipping info (AND your money), and then, good luck trying to print out the label. I tried for two hours to get my label to print. I even switched browsers, and went in from different directions. Nothing helped! But wouldn't you know, they got my money right away, and I got NO shipping label.

USPS you've really let me down. Over the last few months, I've been singing praises about your priority mail service, namely how cost effective it is and fast delivery time. And until now, you've always come through and delivered my packages (whether I was the sender or receiver) safely and in a timely manner. And now it looks as though you have lost a package. I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.

22 years ago, I tried to complain about a USPS employee. 22 years later, I am still trying. I do not mean the USPS did not agree with me, as in I accused a letter carrier of stealing checks from my mail and the USPS said they found no evidence of it, I mean, there is no way to complain. No one will accept the complaint. The employee works for Operations Support, the USPS will not discuss Operations Support with me, but my own investigation suggests they are an internal department, and should not be contacting the public. This alone should be a red flag.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- This happened to me 3 times already. It always ended up with the same person to speak with by the end. I ordered something online and the sender always used tracking services. When I check on the USPS website, it always mysteriously showed that it's already been delivered. But weird enough I haven't seen any pink slip in the mailbox in my building nor it's ever made it to my doorstep. The regular mail is totally fine, only package seems like it's disappear from the radar for 1 week or 2 week, then a 2nd notice or even final notice pink slip would somehow appear in my mailbox again.

KATY, TEXAS -- My bank account was hacked 1 week ago. My new debit card was mailed to me 2-day priority mail envelope on 10/9/2015. Scheduled delivery of no later than 10/13/2015. On 10/13/2015 it was pushed back to 10/14/2015. On 10/14/2015 tracking said "out for delivery" at 9:06 am. I waited all day for my lifeline to my bank account to come in and nothing. As of 11:06 pm 10/14/2015 it was still "out for delivery".

ANAHEIM, CA, CALIFORNIA -- Three week ago, I sent a certified mail to Birmingham, Alabama. It took 2 weeks of back and forth tracking before it was finally delivered. The package was sent back to Anaheim after shipping to Alabama, back and forth. Then on the 31st July, I sent a priority mail that was supposed to arrive Alabama and be delivered on 8/2/13, according to USPS receipts. They said the mail was sent to Florida where it remained for 3 days.

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- I cannot believe USPS can get away with false claims like Priority 2-3 day shipping! I always used UPS ground to ship from OH to NC, always delivered in 2 days. Needed to ship small box, used USPS Priority, 2-day shipping. Well, it's been 4 days, not there yet! This is such a scam. I could have shipped first class as package was 3 ounces, but I paid 3 times more and it is arriving twice later. Well, they get away with having fine print - DELIVERY TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED. That is for sure, I concur - not guaranteed and not even close to promised 2 days they list on the shipping label I purchased. What a scam! Never again, will stick with UPS.

I have been told point blank that the Post Office does not deliver directly to apartments - only to mailboxes. If your item does not fit in the mail box, you have to pick it up at the post office. I do not own a car and would have to take off work to pick up mail which is addressed to my apartment, not a mail box. When I complained I was treated with hostility and for a while even stopped receiving mail. Sometimes they shove items in the mailbox that don't fit, often damaging or even breaking items so they can fit them in the mail box. Twice now an oversized item has blocked the lock so I can't open the box and have to get the lock popped and replaced.

I spend about 6 months in Florida and 6 months in Massachusetts each year. I've always had problems getting packages from FL to MA; they usually disappear in Jacksonville. This time it actually made it to NJ before it was sucked into the void. It's been 7 days since it was sent "priority", 5 days since it supposedly left NJ. I could've walked to NJ and back by now.

I needed to mail concert tickets from Ohio to West Virginia to a business associate. The concert was scheduled for 04/22/10. On 4/15/10 I went to the local post office, told them I had concert tickets, and asked what the best mailing option was in terms of ensuring the tickets would arrive before 4/22/10. The clerk said, "Just send them Priority Mail. That only takes 2-3 days for delivery." If you are worried, just get a tracking #." Sounded good so that is what I paid for. Big mistake!

Last December (2009) I was caring for my parents who were both recovering from major operations. I had been mailing via Priority Mail through the USPS, keepsakes and other personal items from my childhood and teenage years back to my home in Georgia. When each package arrived my wife questioned the manner in which I had packaged each box before mailing. She would then inform me that upon arrival each package would be damaged, and beat up with the contents spilling out from damaged seams.

I ordered an item on Friday, July 16, 2010. The only shipping option was USPS Priority Mail. I even offered to pay for Federal Express shipping, but the vendor only uses USPS Priority Mail. I knew I would be in for trouble, but hoped for the best. As of today, no package. I just spoke to a USPS customer representative, who was apologetic, and I thanked her. They now tell me it is only an estimation of delivery, but it could actually take up to, two full weeks for USPS Priority Mail delivery. I asked her, then why do they call it Priority?? She did not have an answer, and I do not blame her. She does not own USPS, nor does she make the rules.

It seems like USPS thinks that they have the hardest job ever. When someone is bedridden and can barely move, and tries their best to buzz them in, and then they don't even leave the package because it takes so long to walk up stairs... USPS sucks.

I shipped two packages both weighing at 50 lbs. One made it and one did not. I've tried to track the other package and calling USPS for help but that did not work. They gave me Consumers Affairs' numbers to contact in my area Nashville, number just rings with no answer. New Jersery number is disconnected. Atlanta office answers but puts you in a voice mail loop where you dial zero for help, it puts you back at the same menu. Our government really only has two functions, protect its citizens, the other is the mail. Let's hope our government efforts are being used to protect our country because I can promise you it's not used on the mail!!!

This company has gone on extensive times where they have shown their laziness and unreliability far too long. Let's put out another point shall we. Ok, on top of the 6 packages lost by the USPS, they still cling to the ideals of we don’t know, we are sorry, maybe “You” should go priority or express packaging next time. This is their Chief excuse whenever they mess up.

Nov 18, 2015 Insured package from Atlanta to Branford CT from Druid Hills Postal Store. Nov 22, 2015 Insured Package still in the Druid Hills Postal Store. It has been sitting there all this time and not moving. It was promised to get to Branford by Tuesday November 24, 2015 for Thanksgiving gift. USPS website sends one through a loop and asks questions giving the user no place to put the answer. I will never use USPS again, this I promised myself. Their total disregard for good will is outstanding.

I have ordered a number of items online for gifts of all kinds and when the sender ships using USPS it is never a smooth experience. I have never received my packages on time! On top of that, the tracking is never updated, and when I contact my local office I get repeated answers of, "we don't know where it is at currently." USPS you have one job, to get mail to and from senders in a timely fashion. You need to get a better system because you are just terrible!

I had a parcel sent from the US to Australia. Simple, right? Not quite. The tracking info showed the parcel bouncing around the US for a while, seeing the country I suppose. The last time I checked, my parcel was at Heathrow Airport in England, across the other side of the world in another hemisphere. I finally was able to email USPS with a complaint, I had to use the sender's address and details as the USPS online system stonewalls any attempt by anyone overseas to make online contact.

I was sent a certified letter on Sept. 9th. After several calls to USPS and several confirmation numbers the letter could not be found. It was resent to me and guess what, that one is missing too. A 3rd letter was sent and now that one is missing. What is going on??? Even with a tracking number, the letters are disappearing in thin air.

I run an internet business, and most unfortunately I rely mostly on the USPS for delivery and pickup services. My regular carrier is currently on vacation, and I've been having the worst service possible since then with her subs. Actually, two days out of one week, they did not even pick up or delivery packages although some of them had tracking numbers showing that they were out for delivery. I've seen the USPS going from bad to worse along the years... Many of the employees are not putting any effort whatsoever in customer satisfaction, and they act like that they are just there for the paychecks... Benjamin Franklin, the first Post Master General, must be revolving all over his grave...

The company at the top of Google is not the USPS. They call themselves the USPS change of address assistant. They are a scam... run. I thought I was changing my address w/ the USPS for $1.00 and was charged $29.95 by this scam company. Make sure you are changing your address w/ the USPS, not any other company.

I have lost my mail which is very important and critical by USPS staff. It was a priority mail. The mail had correct address. My regular mailman was not there that day. The other mailman scanned it as "Undeliverable as addressed" in spite of it is having correct address on mail. Even if it has correct address or not, they should have sent it back to sender. They did not do that as well. Either it is misplaced or thrown it away. This is going to cost me my job. I don't know what to do. I opened the investigation case. They closed it mentioning they could not find the mail in post office.

I have 2 open complaints with Consumer Affairs. I have called 5 times since Oct 26 and have yet to receive a single call back regarding these. Both complaints are with USPS. One has been open since Sept and that package is still sitting at a post office and has not moved in over a month. The other is about my negligent carrier and have not heard once from Consumer Affairs since I called and opened it on Oct 9! Not sure what needs to be done in order to get Consumer Affairs to call people back. The call # states you will get a call on the same day. Well, it’s been over a week and a half. When you make your initial complaint, you are told you will get a call within 48 hours. Well, it’s almost a month now on that one. Time to complain about Consumer Affairs!

This is incredible how this government agency do not know where is my package. I sent it on September 25, 2015 to Puerto Rico. The people on PR are not responsible because if they received this package they have to scan it. This is negligence of this office. We don't suppose to trust nobody. This is the first time this happen. I want to know where is it.

I have had nothing but trouble with my mailwoman. Over the winter, a snow plow knocked my mailbox down. She immediately left me a nasty note saying she will no longer deliver mail to me until it is fixed. So, ok, I put the mailbox back up, and tied it on, hopefully until the ground thawed so I could put a new post in the ground. She wrote me another nasty note, giving me exact measurements it has to be or she will not deliver the mail to me. I caught her as she was leaving, and explained that this wasn’t my fault, her reply, "I don't care. It needs to be fixed per my instructions" and drove off without giving me any mail. I finally got it up and mail has been coming.

USPS lost my item within 3 hours of handing it over. Never updated past them taking it. My item was something I sold. I never received my package back. I had to refund money to the buyer. Then the post office had the nerve to get an attitude with my about looking for my package and didn't even attempt to take my information. I had to escalate myself and call the post office that my package was being shipped to. I had to do all the work to find my package that was most likely stolen from a staff member. Then they are telling me that insurance will only cover a fraction. Why should I pay for them to do their job... or not do it. WORST MAIL DELIVERY SERVICE. And this is not the first time they have misplaced, delivered to wrong address and say it's delivered. UPS or FEDEX from here on out.

I mailed several small, Flat Rate Priority boxes on November 16 at the Gig Harbor PO, Washington. Yesterday I checked the receipt. I wanted to track the items for delivery. One item was actually being mailed back to me, apparently. Rather than use the "TO:" address, the return address was used. It was noted that it would arrive back on November 17. It actually went from Gig Harbor to Tulsa Oklahoma, then Federal Way for a couple of days, and then arrived in Olalla today -- not delivered to our house!!! Never will use Priority again.

Ive been a customer for the past 6 years without experiencing any problem. I've sent a package more than a month ago outside the US and the package has been lost and it turns out that I have to take responsibility for something the person that was sending my package did wrong. I was not informed of anything and now I lost a package that was worth 300 dollars.

Technology isn't going to solve human problems and the USPS administration should know better. I'm talking about their GPS tracing system allowing dispatchers to know a real time location of the postal delivery vehicles. The satellite will pin point exactly where the vehicle is and where it has been BUT... I promise you you've been fooled and we customers have been victimized by those postal "officers" with their tricks. When it rains big time and the level of personal responsibility inherent to a given worker is low, they simply stay for a while sitting inside their vehicles not picking up the mail from the mail boxes. The sophisticated technology may prove their location but not their actual delivery status. Once again the human factor has been unsuccessfully replaced by more expensive technology to accomplish NOTHING. Thanks.

I recently moved to America and send a box before I moved here. After a month of being here and no box we moved. Immediately changed our address with the post office since we knew the package was coming. Then I signed up online to see where the package is. They said it was forward to the new address which is from Clifton Park to Malta on Oct 10th. After two weeks of no updates I went to the post office to ask if maybe it is laying there. "Nooo" they said. "Wait. It will come." Today I got a message saying "Oh it has been returned to sender in Taiwan"!!! Why??? We handed in a forward address. Why it says online it has been forward wasn't it delivered? Why didn't they update the package as couldn't be delivered?? Only said forward on Oct 10th and now have send back to Taiwan today!!! I called to say why isn't it forward. And they said "Oh we can't do anything for you. You have to go in and talk to the post office in Taiwan"!

Called Post office early to track my daughters Birthday gift that was returned from San Antonio Texas. When CSR answered phone she was very rude. Told CSR my post office at Hines V.A hospital said package is at their facility and she said no its not here its some where in Texas. Did not search look or whatever then said goodbye have a nice day. Got up went there quick. Told CSR at cashier what transpired on phone and she insisted the info I gave her is wrong so I gave her the parcel slip left at my mailbox. Low and behold the package was there.

This is a review of the 800 number for the USPS. They might be fine in other area (questionable, but giving the benefit of the doubt), but the number was less than helpful. I was seeking information on locations and pickup times that could not be found on the website. I called the 800 number. It kept prompting me to go to the website if I didn't find what I was looking for. Not helpful. None of the automated responses fit my question, but it couldn't understand what I was looking for, so I had to enter something that didn't fit, just to move forward.

I paid for 1-day shipping and my package has still not arrived. First I placed my order for my product at 10:30 a.m. on Friday 11/6. Product was sent out that day. USPS did not deliver the package on Saturday or Sunday which is fine, but they did not deliver on Monday 11/9 either. Tuesday came and went. Still no delivery. Now here I sit on Veterans Day being told that my package won't be delivered until the 14th, that is 8 ** days after paying for 1-day shipping. Besides this they told me I would need to file a claim for a refund in person and that in 5-10 days I would hear a response. What are they doing in that time? Certainly not delivering mail. The USPS is the ** deliver service on the face of the planet. I would trusts a small Taiwanese child to deliver a package in a package in a more timely manner than the USPS. For your sake and your business' sake do not use the USPS for anything.

My complaint/concern is a bit different. The USPS employee has decided to become involved in a neighborhood dispute. It has me concerned about the delivery of my mail. I purchased a PO box instead but found out that the employee is still placing my mail in the PO box. I went out of town for 5 days and came back to see a letter that should've been in my PO box for a family member that has lived with me & received mail for many years has been sent back stating 'Unable to Forward/For Review'. The correct name and PO box was on this mail and on previous mailings to this family member, but this mail carrier is trouble.

This office is the worst place to get a package on time when you pay for the express time to get it to your convenience. I have ordered some medical supplies and it's clearly saying sorted completed and no one knows were it's at!!! For years this place should be shut down or under better management and fully staffed. We're paying for these services and they're benefiting off us for doing no work. I'm in beg of this place and management to be broken up completely. This is really bad. The tellers are rude and disrespectful. This is out of control and a mystery customer needs to be video recording this place and better supervised.

Electronic Return Receipt from the USPS does not exist. You can track your letter or package, but you will never receive an electronic signature when the item is delivered. I have called, emailed, etc and there is no resolution. Postal employees have told me I must pay for hard copy return receipt if I require a signature upon delivery. This is NOT what is advertised and costs twice as much. And of about 100 items I have sent in the past six months, two have gone missing. Not a terrific record really. I am curious if anyone else has had this difficulty.

I live on Kauai, and it costs a bundle to get stuff shipped here. I missed a package because I was out of town on a family emergency and went to get it as soon as I arrived home. They had returned the package to sender. I accepted this and contacted seller to reship and paid shipping again. I continued to receive 'we missed you' slips and went to the post office again, in less than 15 days, and was told that my package had been returned to sender. This time there was no sender on the slip, and they could not tell me the sender or any additional information about the package aside from the tracking number. I asked to speak with a manager, and when I requested paperwork to in the future delay return to sender action, he told me that what I can do is get to the post office on time.

I ship lots of stuff with USPS and so-far have had no problems with them and the packages arrive on time or even early! Just my Opinion, but it's also rated the best Priority(R) shipper in the industry by (I forgot who - will update later).

USPS has always been my preferred method of shipping items over FedEx and UPS BY FAR. Their website is very convenient to order shipping supplies. USPS makes the shipping process LOADS easier to pack and ship packages. Their service has greatly improved over the years and shipping times are pretty quick compared to UPS and FedEx. Will continue to use USPS as my primary shipping service!

I cant believe they are in business. Absolutely no respect for a persons time, live and even worse over the phone. Poor attitude, you can tell they cant get fired. Had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come from the back of the post office. Front staff call 7 times then the woman come up at a snail’s pace with a" you are bothering" me attitude. 12 attempts to contact via phone customer service or the local branch over 4 days and not a single answer from any of the numbers I tried. One of the times I was 41 minutes on hold and then the line dropped. Letters from customers miles away left at my house. It is a real joke. This is the Snapper Creek branch in Kendall FL and the USPS customer service number. I will not do business with any company that will ship me items via USPS. I can't wait till the USPS folds under, I will go have many, many drinks to celebrate. They don't care, so why should I.

i ship many items through them at the post office and also online. for small to medium sized packages, they're cheaper than UPS and fedex for domestic and international. of the many times that i've used them, they misdelivered one of my packages. there was another time they sent me back the package because they thought i turned one of their priority boxes inside out and used that as my own box. it was actually a UPS box, so i wasn't very happy about that. when ordering a shipping label online, it's sometimes buggy to accept credit card and generating the confirmation number. other than that, i think overall they're a pretty good, competitively priced shipping service.

USPS.com is great for sending domestic packages/letters via priority/express mail: fill out addresses, print a label, drop your package in a mail box – no need to stand in a long line at a post office (and it is cheaper to ship if you create a label on-line).

Finding a reliable packaging service provider is a tough ask in the present day. However, after coming across the United States Postal Service website, I found my woes taking a backseat. This website is one of the best that offers services for delivering and receiving messages without any inconvenience. Regardless of whether you need a recent shipping label or searching for the latest stamp in the music icon series, this website is the place to be. I was quite impressed with the collection they had to make thing simpler for visitors. The service provider poses as a perfect business solution for all.

Site says they'll respond to inquiries by email within 24 hours. The best case scenario I've got for this is when they responded 72 hours later but in some cases I've waited over a week. Last night I called their number instead of emailing and waited 45 minutes before I finally hung up. Customer Service leaves something to be desired.

POOR COSTUMER SERVICE! I am so dissapointed with USPS. I had a mail that was said delivered on the same time I was at the location of the mailing address. I did not recieve anything it was said it was delivered. I went to the neighboring business they did not recieve any mail that was for us. My address is a business. We don't have a porch or a mailbox. Each time (very often) the mailman delivers our mail he hands it to us personally. But on that day considering I was there the whole day nothing is handed to me or even a sign he was there. I called my local post office at 2pm and told them about it, they said they'll call me back. At 3:30 I called back to make sure and check, they said they'll call me back at 4:30pm before they close. 6:00pm no callbacks. I called again at 1:30pm the next day asked about some updates and told them what happen again. They said they'll call me back and this time they promised. I waited, and I forgot it's past 5 but no callbacks still. I then called again the next day at 10am a little pissed of and all they have to tell me is "it's been delivered to the address and we can't help u any further" WT*???? So i went and filed an insurance claim because it was $100 insured and I also filed a complaint. I still got denied on the claim for the reason that is already delivered. Why can't they understand that I DID NOT RECIEVE ANYTHING!!!!

good concept - not so great delivery... site is often slow, unresponsive or wonky very useful for both print and ship features as well as tracking - just would like it to work a little better - often have to go through multiple screens to get to supposedly 'commonly used' features...

USPS has decent service for me. Delivery sometimes may be a little late, but I don't complain. However, my biggest complaint is the online tools they offer here do not go hand-in-hand with their actual labor/services. I sell on eBay and therefore require a lot of packaging materials. A few weeks ago, I ran out of Priority Mail "Regular" boxes and the shoe boxes. Seeing that I had some plain boxes left, I decided to use those while I order these online. I ordered a set of 10 for each one. The Regular Priority Mail boxes arrived except it was a set of 25 boxes which was way too many and I didn't have the room for them. The other boxes were stuck in NJ and NEVER arrived even until this day. On top of that, I moved to a new location which has pick-up availability which would save me a lot of time and energy to carry boxes to the post office. When I entered information to get the pick-up, NO ONE came to pick up my packages. Yet, the USPS website sent me an e-mail stating the pick-up was successful. No, it was NOT successful! As for customer service.. the number given on the website does not work. I have called it numerous times because I needed help with lost packages and no one picked up. No one answers emails either. I cannot believe a service like this would do this to people.

My review is of a business that is not trustworthy. They made my life a living hell! I will tell you that somebody in their employees did a bad thing. They sent my package back out by forwarding it to a wrong place. Why that person did that I dunno but it was mean and coniving. My package got sent from Owensboro, KY. to Des Moines, Iowa (supposedly by mistake) but I think it was done on purpose and was a fool thing to do. I contacted them at usps and they were not helpful at all and did not seem to care whereas I contacted UPS snd they have taken care of the matter. We'll see what USPS IN Owensboro, KY does when my package shows up again. Yeah, it was UPS that let me know it was somebody in Bon Harbor post office that forwarded my package to Des Moines, iowa after it arrived here in Owensboro. I want my package delivered to me and I aim to get it. If heads roll to get it then so be it. I will make sure of it. I know it's fraudulant to do what whoever did by sending my package to another state like that for no good reason other than to cause harm to me. The burden is proof that they intentionally did that and I was monitoring my package in tracking my package and saw that it was sent to Des Moines after it had arrived in Owensboro, KY and changed hands from UPS to USPS. I saved a copy of that to my computer too for proof.

This has to be the WORST Post Office in the country by far - Sandy Creek in El Paso, Texas!!! Constant problems at this place and an ATTITUDE from the staff. Then you escalate something and it goes to this Margie person, what an awful "I could care less about you" attitude! Margie is constantly rude and we constantly have mail problems. Her response, "you can spend more and ship through another service", what a rotten attitude she displays! Because of her and this post office in general, we no longer ship packages through USPS if and when we can avoid it! We also go online and leave every negative testimonial possible on USPS as a result! I shipped something priority mail and there was a problem. Margie's response was that I used "Click n Ship" so I should take it up with them and leave her alone. She went on to comment that they don't even get credit for those shipments they handle that go outbound from her place. We've had enough of the attitude from this post office and Margie to be specific. Now it's just more satisfying to spread the word about how they treat their customers and we'll use a more professional service anytime we can. No wonder USPS is going bankrupt, it's because of employees like the ones at Sandy Creek that couldn't care less about anything! My aunt has asked for a supervisor and waited for over an hour. The clerk says sorry, we just ring the bell and they show up if they want to. WHAT A DISGRACE TO HAVE A POST OFFICE AS THIS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. Hope fully they go bankrupt and see how it is to find another job. Maybe then they'll appreciate the job they have now. And for heavens sake, LOSE THE ROTTEN ATTITUDE, we are your customers for goodness sake!

This site is great for tracking a package that has been shipped. It is especially useful if the package needs a signature, because then you will have a better idea of when the package will arrive. It is also great for changing your address. It is super easy to do online, and then your mail is forwarded to your new address. Awesome service!

It is best for shipping within USA, NOT FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. USPS is NOT a suitable option for international shipping the reason is because USPS is an independent agency of the United States federal government. IT IS A GOVERNMENT POST and it obviously does not have offices in other countries, what happens is that when a package is shipped to an international destination let's say a third world country like Indonesia or any other countries, USPS HANDS OVER your pacakge to the National post office of the destination country and a lot of countries have a crappy National post that tend to lose packages, this is especially true with third world countries. If you are shipping a package to a country that its national post has a reputable and trustworthy history and record in delivering packages, a country like Germany, UK, Canada, France, Austria, Australia then using USPS should not be an issue for international shipping but if you are shipping a package to a destination country that has a flimsy national post like Italy, Portugal, Spain, Estonia, Russia, Indonesia, Philippines...etc it is very likely that your package will be lost or stolen in the destination country which is not really USPS's fault. Bottom line is: USPS is for domestic shipping when it comes to international shipping stick to UPS or DHL. (Fedex is WAY too expensive)

The USPS is a fraud when it comes to paying Insurance claims. They give you the run around until you leave them alone. I sent 2 packages of glass items. Both times, to the same address, they arrived in pieces. They were wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap and sent in a USPS Priority Box (which is heavy), and covered with FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE". It would take tossing the box or dropping something heavy on them to break the contents. They USPS, by phone, keep giving me numbers to call that have nothing to do with them.

My certified mail has been back & forth, SJ to SD for over one month. Though my receipt says its destination is SJ, Lundy Av. office SJ sent it to San Diego at 1st. When I went to the office on Lundy while tracking said it's there, the supervisor took my number and turned me away. When I claimed on the phone & online, my city post office just let me know where it was, which I knew from tracking. That's all they did. I gave up.

Constant issues with our mail at the El Paso Sandy Creek Post Office. Askpeople who go here because it's the only post office in the area. We try to drive further to get to any other post office when we have time. The clerk said if you don't like the attitude then you can always ship somewhere else, NOW WE DO, THANK YOU! I have never been treated so badly as I have by this post office. The staff is just rude with attitude at this place. We've never been able to get them to answer their phone either! No More! I never write reviews but after such a terrible experience with USPS I had to. My package was a $400 item of clothing, I was very concerned about my package as I applied for tracking notification E-mails only to get two updates that a missed delivery had occurred, I then tried to contact the company multiple times and kept trying to track my package. I have been trying to find my package for 2 weeks now, the only information I have was that there was a missed delivery AND THATS IT. Its as if my package is gone or stolen and they don't care at all. Many of my friends have had bad experiences with this company before also, I will never use them again! VOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

The US Post Office has a monopoly, and when the employees in their mail processing plants steal your mail, especially any mail containing checks, your sole remedy is making a complaint at the www.usps.com website, which is the same thing as saying, "You have No Remedy or Recourse". What a worthless group, and boy, don't they know it. In the past 2.5 years, I've had checks stolen from express mail, priority mail and first class mail.

I am not satisfied with USPS estimated delivery dates. I understand that shipping from US to UK can take up to 15 days as estimated period, but it is too much to wait 20 or more days for the item, when it is estimated maximum of 15 days. In many cases items stay in facility for several days, before they find airplane which flies to current country. USPS is not reliable company and i am not happy with shipping period. This forces me to make bad review, even if it is bad telling these things in public. Sorry!

Absolute garbage mickey mouse operations being run out of this branch. For the past month or so, the delivery persons for my neighborhood, which is less than 2 minutes away from this branch, have completely abandoned any attempts at delivering oversize mail. Nothing but slips, leaving me to go get the packages myself every time. Sometimes they won't even leave slips! On one occasion, I had to have the sender tell me that it was undelivered and waiting at the post office. Most recently, 2/18/2016, I was left a slip and a key. The key did not correspond to any of the package boxes at my neighborhood. It was a different style key, marked with a box number that already had a key in it. When I took the slip to this branch, I was told that they couldn't find the indicated packages anywhere, and that a supervisor would contact me. Not holding my breath on that one. I can tell that the actual branch workers are trying their best, but with what appears to be zero communication between the branch workers and the delivery persons, it's not worth much. Package delivery attempts are an absolute joke. Save the headache, use UPS.

This post office has the most inept customer service of any entity I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. First, you have to call and let it ring and ring til it hangs up on you at least twice before they even answer the phone on the third try. They have picked up the phone, and immediately hung up on me multiple times. Then they are immediately testy with you, no matter what your question/issue is, and they generally try to push the issue onto someone else and tell you to call someone else; this seems to be branch policy as I've talked to one helpful clerk there ever. The postal carriers deliver items to me as if I am the recipient, when I am the sender quite often. When I put something in the outgoing mail slot at my apartment, the package is put right back in my mailbox. Avoid calling or physically going into this branch at all costs.

I have currently lived at my apartment in for 2 weeks now. I completed a change of address online the day I moved. I started to wonder after a week why I was not recieveing mail. I checked the form online, the address was correct. So yesterday, which is a week and a half later I was so luck to find the post lady in the room of the mailboxes. I stood in the doorway and politely asked how her day was going..I assumed bad due to no reply and a stupid look, so I got stright to the point. I asked where was the mail that was expected several days ago? I explained to her the the prior residents moved and I was a new tenant .....i knew that she knew i was a new tenant because the post office sends this nice little package filled with coupon that confirms the new address......I paid online for her to completely disregard the notice.

I had a long and arduous time here just recently. A package was coming for me from Japan, I had been closely watching it's progress online and when it reached Denver it was flagged as 'address unknown return to sender.' I called this post office as soon as it opened asking if there was a way for me to intercept the package to put the correct street address on it, after all, I understand that addresses in Japan are written very differently, so it must have been a simple mistake on the senders part. I was told that they would look for the package and call me back. About 5-10 minutes later, they called and said that unfortunately it had already been put on the return truck the night previous, there was nothing they could do to retrieve it. That, I was fine with, I understood that there was no getting the package now, it would just need to get back to the sender to be corrected. The next day I checked back in on the tracker to see if it had made it out to Los Angeles. To my surprise the package had been scanned again in Denver! This time labeled as 'in retention.' I was so excited! Someone, somewhere had put my package aside! I went straight to this post office as soon as it opened, however, when I spoke with the clerk, Eloise, she refused to look for it, wouldn't even ask for my tracking number, name, or anything. She told me it wasn't here. I brought up the tracker on my phone and showed Eloise that the scan said 'in retention' at this post office. No, no, no, that was wrong, the package is not here. Eloise said all this to me, not once offering to check or asking me any details. I was very upset, I asked if there was any other post office I could talk to about this, she gave me the 800 number for the US Postal Service. So I left and I called. The lady on the phone was extremely nice, apologized and told me that yes, this package was in fact at this location and had even had a delivery attempt marked on it. Thankfully I was able to finally get this package after confirming it with the 800 service. Another thing that bothers me though, the address that the Japanese sender had marked was crystal clear 100% correct, so I have no idea how it got marked 'address unkown.' Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence at this location. If you must use this location, proceed with caution and don't believe what they tell you if it contradicts any information you have via tracking service. I sincerely hope that they improve eventually and whatever causes all these issues is resolved.

Terrible post office. Very incompetent mailman. Never delivers packages on time or leaves notices. Have to track down my packages every single time. Whatever postal person that is covering the mail recently for the neighborhood "On The Lakes" has to be the worst at their job. Made a delivery instruction request to re route my package to the post office's location. Upon my arrival to the post office my package was still on the truck which i understand. However the supervisor proceeded to come out and tell me that i had made an interception request to be sent back to the original sender. I showed the supervisor my email from them stating nothing of the sort. Then she proceeded to berate and scream at me in the middle of the post office in front of about 10 other customers. This is the worst customer service from a supervisor i have ever seen.

Finally called at the right time, on the right day (Friday after 10:15) and was told to call back next Friday because they were booked for the week. Asked if I could go ahead and book for the week after, and was told no, call back next friday at 10:15. This is impossible. What business only schedules appointments one day a week for the following week only? Unfortunate that all I can do is write this review in protest... Did ask where else I could go to get a passport and the Travis County District Clerk office was suggested. I recommend that, or anywhere else.

On Mon 2/29 I went to my mailbox and found it was open I attempted to lock it but it wouldn't lock I put a note for the carrier to have it fixed well as of Sat 3/5 it still wasn't fixed and of course I have had no mail. I went to the Post Office on Sat 3/5 and spoke to a girl at the counter who was very rude as she told me I had to pay to change the lock when I told her that wasn't happening she went to the back and then told me to wait at the blue door. A woman came and I explained again and she told me there was no charge and that she would have it taken care of on Tues 3/8 but a man behind her told me he would handle it himself and it would be fixed on Mon 3/7 I then asked why the carrier did not report the problem and they did not have an answer. Well it was not fixed on Mon or Tues and no one likes to answer the phone there so I guess I have to lose time at work to handle their screw ups.

I am not sure awful is a strong enough word to describe the rudeness that comes out of the Pflugerville Post Office. I called with a simple request to know what times were available to schedule for a passport. All I could get was "Sir you will have to call tomorrow at 10:15" I asked if that was going to be for next week, and with a stronger, more agitated voice all I got was "Sir you will have to call tomorrow at 10:15!" It was plain to me that I was a bother and should be well versed with US Postal Service protocol and procedures. Sadly this seems to be the norm at this location, the folks behind the counter are not much better. The US Post Office wants to know why they are losing business to private carriers it is because of people like the ones you find in Pflugerville. You are treated with little to no respect, talked to like a vagrant. It is a shame that our US Postal Service is such a joke when it comes to customer service and the only place you can get a passport. Sorry to the few good apples, but the bad ones are bad and overshadow the good.

One of the friendliest post offices in Boston! Short lines, nice people- and easy to get to- it's walking-friendly, safe, well-lit, and just a few steps away from the #1 bus stop, the orange line, and the green line. Taxis also run out front, in case you are dealing with some serious boxes. If you have a box there, they also participate in the USPS programs to text you when you have real mail in your box (as opposed to junk) and they will accept courier deliveries- both services are free. Woot!

It is difficult to imagine a more incompetent group of individuals than those who work at this post office. I've spent a week trying to track down my mail which mysteriously disappeared without a trace. After days of frustrating and unhelpful discussions with an Alonzo and Jennifer (the manager at this location), they finally determined that the mail carrier inexplicably decided to start forwarding my mail based on a forwarding order for another customer at a completely different address and with a completely different name. I know this is a federal government operation and, therefore, prone to ineptitude, but perhaps if everyone with a similar experience with this specific location reports their errors to a Regional director, we can at least have a new manager installed there who will demand higher standards from the staff. As is typically the case, attitudes and work ethics start at the top of an organization and clearly the message coming from the top of the Rose Garden Lane post office is that sloppiness and lackluster performance are acceptable. Unfortunately, unlike "for profit" organizations, we are stuck dealing with these idiots, though I plan to make a point of reporting each and every error my letter carrier commits in regard to my mail/mailbox going forward. I probably get other people's mail 2-3 times/week! From now on, I will be personally delivering those to the location manager - and encouraging my neighbors to do the same - until she has no choice but to remove the letter carrier from service. Similarly, I will be reporting the ineptitude of this location's management staff to the next level within the USPS. Someone has to take action to ensure that these people are doing more than simply taking up space (and tax dollar payroll) when entrusted with the US mail.

I agree the worst run post office I've ever encountered. The mail carriers handling the mail here get so many of my packages delivered to the wrong address. My poor kind neighbors are having to do their job by self delivering packages that are addressed to me & my address. Lazy carriers, say they attempt your delivery but don't (i have surveillance at my home & was present when they "claimed" the time they tried to attempt delivery. My dear sister, Alois. if a customer does not understand what you are explaining and need further explanation on the topic, that does not call for an attitude nor a reason to 'throw' their money and reciept towards them. the only reason this didnt get taken to higher management is because i realize our plight and all the sh** we as sisters/brothers go through in this society, our frustrations, our disappointments, our past and present situations. there is a very deep cycle of hate and lack of knowledge of self our people have been programmed into. Do i understand the frustrations? YES! but we have a bad tendency to take it out on one another. i know working can be stressful but when working with the public u need CONTROL OF SELF. i'm a registered nurse of over 5 years and know how frustrating it can be to deal with different personalities, but i realize that it comes with the job and its no excuse for me to snap to my public. the ONLY reason, Alois, that i didnt take this complaint to higher management is because i'm blessed with an understanding heart and assumed you have children to care for and need work, like we all do. u are not alone sister, i understand. Pray, meditate, or sumthing to get control of your damn self. the neck rolling, voice tone, and quick-temper was all too unnecessary, just because a customer needed further explanation. i wish u love and peace, always.

This is by far the slowest post office, I ever waited in line at. Unfortunately, I am there 3 times a week and it has a line out the door, whether it's a holiday or not. The people at the counter are very nice ,but so slow in taking care of the long line. Not only that, they will close up their station to go handle something else, while 10 people wait for 1 employee to handle our needs. You can't weigh your envelope or purchase stamps in the lobby, although there is plenty of room to set this type of service up for convenience. If you also have home delivery from this location, don't count on your privacy being important. I have called at least 3 times, because my neighbor to the left gets my mail and I get the neighbor to my rights mail. If your employees continue to provide a unprofessional representation of your company, than it's time to hire new employees. Make some changes and give your customers the service we deserve!

I have been waiting for 2 months to get a mail box installed at my apartment building in chesterfield township and Nancy, the postmaster has assured me, every week for five weeks that it will be done by wednesday. She never calls me back and never answers the phone when I do try to call. I cannot believe the incompetence of this place. She even went on vacation for two weeks and didnt tell anyone what was happening so I had to wait for her to get back to give me one small piece of information to proceed. That was 5 weeks ago and I still dont have a mailbox. This woman is useless!!!!! Please replace her!!!

If I could add no stars I would. This post office is thee most inconsiderate of all times. I had my package medicine/ clothing etc delivered multiple times. I never received the package. It was saying delivered but, I really never got my package, so I call the office, for one they never called me back, thank god one day my husband stood next to out mail box and the mail carrier, admitted she forgot some packages because it's so busy, they have to many new carriers everyday. The professional thing would be to call the customer/ homeowner back considering I'm telling you its my medicine and it shouldn't matter it's my package and I paid for it. Their just rude, disrespectful.

This post office serves are growing retirement area. The post office is relatively new. It is clear that an effort is underway to drive customers to the Automated Postal Center, but this aging population will not go there. The lines at the service counter in the Mountain Home Post Office are much too long. Please consider the demographic of this service area and hire additional service counter attendants to keep one additional window working at all times. Meanwhile, hurry up.

After reading the other reviews, I was very wary and expected the worst. However, I figured if I was extremely cheerful and friendly, it might be contagious. Perhaps I'd get to meet a "good employee" who worked there. Upon entering, two of the three mail workers ignored me and resumed the tasks they engaged in (one was working in the back, but came to the front looking for something and the other was sitting at the second register doing something). The lady, Tiffani, who as helping customers, went to the back to finish a task, then came back. She asked politely to help me and I was, indeed, helped. It wasn't until we kept talking in friendly tones that we engaged in friendly chit chat and she smiled radiantly. She was very kind and knew performed her job exceptionally! I was thrilled to have my expectations dashed! I hope she gets a raise for her PR skills.

This post office is totally incompetent, lacks accountability, and does not follow standard USPS procedures. They routinely drop packages on my street out in the open, which is in violation of their procedures, because they are too lazy to use the delivery attempted notices. I called several times asking why they are not following the procedures in their own M-41 handbook and several employees were either unaware or in denial of their own responsibilities depending who I talked to. They left a package of mine unsecured despite the fact that it would have fit in the secure parcel locker at the street mailboxes and they are not supposed to leave parcels unsecured unless I'm part of the carrier release program which I am not. The package was stolen and they refused to honor the insurance on the package or take any responsibility because it was delivered, albeit to an unsecured location aka front porch. When I called to report the package missing they told me they would follow up and call me back...they never called back. I called them back several days later and was told it was dropped on the front porch...and they don't have it. I then filed a claim and several appeals which were all swiftly denied without explanation. I had to eat the $400 loss. Will never use this post office again if I can help it.

I think this postal office is the WORST EVER!!!!!! They are extremely incompetent and get an attitude with you when you ask questions. The 3 most horrific experiences were : 1, received a noticed to pick up my package. Went to the location at 0630 (they open at 0600) I run the door bell for 30 min no answer. The music was loud and they were laughing and talking. I finally had to beat on the door for someone to answer. When they did, all they could say was "oh". 2, received a slip to pick up another package. Went in to pick up the package only for them to tell me they cannot find the package and it may be with the courier. This was put in my box on a Saturday, why does the courier still have it on a TUESDAY?!?! 3, ordered a package, tracked it until it said delivered. I did not received the package and it required a signature. Had to call and find out why it had a signature and it wasn't delivered to me. Only to find out that the postal worker delivered it to the WRONG PERSON. I really wish someone from corporate or higher up would revap this office, because they REALLY SUCK at their job!!!!

Within two weeks: 1. fiance's wedding ring was shipped priority with signature required. Reported as delivered to a place that doesn't exist. Had pdf confirmation of signature sent to my email and there was a scribble (not a signature) under signature and address. Emailed, heard nothing; called, confirmed they could do nothing since there was an "open case". Ring was jammed into my apartment mailbox (still no signature) three days later. No case resolution; when I went back online to find out what happened, can't access the case because they can't confirm who I am. The guy frigging faked a signature. What on earth? 2. Ordered kitchen part from Amazon prime. Reported delivered to the apartment front office Sunday (?) at 2 pm. Nice of them to be specific when they're lying. No package; no notice of package. Email about new case unanswered; phone won't connect through about case. I'm out 80 bucks; hopefully amazon will replace it since it's supposedly reported as not only delivered, but delivered to the front office. These guys are frigging criminals. Use UPS or FedEx if you don't want them forging your signature and stealing your belongings.

OMG! The WORST customer service ever. I went to this location on 8/7/2015 to pick up a package that would have been delivered to my place of employment. I was going out of town for the weekend and needed to get my package. I was treated like I had ask them to go outside in the heat and carry mail instead of working on the inside. A lady from the back was screaming so LOUD she could be heard through the door. She was screaming that they were not going to be going through all that mail and that if anyone else came, they would have to wait to get their mail. The lady who was actually helping me came back to the half door window with my package. I told her to give me back my paper and to tell the lady I said "thanks for the great customer service". She looked a little embarrassed and said that she had my package. The lady said that the people who goes through the mail leaves at 11:00am, I asked how was I supposed to know that. I explained that if I had not been going out of town that I would have waited till Monday to get my package. I had been calling all morning and the phone line stayed busy. I thanked her and walked away. I felt like I had done a injustice to them, when all I wanted was my package.

The workers at this location are always friendly and courteous. All of the complaints that arise are simply because people refuse to pay inflationary costs for social services. No funding translates to existing employees doing more work with less staff.

I wish there was a beyond awful category to describe the management of this store, but that isn't an option. On April 19, I mailed two amended tax returns from Mail Depot for my 83-year-old father, who was recovering from knee replacement surgery. The pleasant lady (with the glasses) weighed the envelopes and asked that I write the return address in the upper lefthand corner of each. In addition, the IRS returns were in preprinted window envelopes and she certainly would have noticed if the addresses were illegible. I paid to have them sent CERTIFIED mail. She wrote the amount of postage required on each envelope and asked Bill, the owner, to make sure he put postage on the envelopes as she handed them to him. A week later, one of the envelopes was returned marked "Undeliverable No Postage" or words to that effect. In the upper righthand corner was the postage amount written in pencil by the nice lady who wears glasses. Mail Depot never put postage on an important certified document! A few days later, my father, still recovering from knee surgery, took the returned envelope to the car to take back to Mail Depot, but somehow -- and even he isn't sure how it happened. The envelope and some other papers he was carrying were lost. They may have blown off the roof of the car. We waited a few days hoping someone would find the package and return it to our mailbox, but to no avail. I checked the certified mail tracking number and discovered that the other envelope made it to its Fresno CA destination. The other was listed as Undeliverable as Addressed. It was undeliverable because Bill put no postage on it. Yesterday my father and I returned to Mail Depot to explain what had happened. All we asked was for a refund on the package that hadn't been delivered. There were two helpful staff members who copied our receipts. One was the nice lady with the glasses, who had originally waited on me. The other apologized profusely and told us that she had to talk to her boss. She also asked that we specify that Bill, the owner, was the one working the day I mailed the documents, because apparently he doesn't really understand the business. (I got the impression these two employees are embarrassed by their boss's incompetence.) Today, we received a call from Rita, who is either the manager or co-owner of the place, telling us that we could come in and collect our $5.17 refund. So we stopped by Mail Depot and met Bill, who told us we needed to talk to Rita. He called her and after waiting 5 minutes, Rita returned to the store. She then said that she had further investigated the matter and the fact that it was marked Undeliverable as Addressed didn't specify that the postage had never been placed on the envelope. In other words, she accused me and my father of lying! We paid for the postage, we paid to have it sent certified, what difference does it make if she knows the package isn't going to arrive at its destination? She explained that she would have to explain to the postal investigator why she had given out government money in the form of a refund and we lacked the proper proof. Just on a customer service level, if she truly was worried about having to justify a mistake to the USPS, why wouldn't she take $5.17 out of the store's petty cash to satisfy and keep a frequent patron. If you read this, PLEASE BOYCOTT this absolutely incompitently-run postal facility, whose management is psychopathically stingy and RUDE! I will next formally complain to the USPS.

This post office branch exemplifies the reason that the whole USPS is failing and losing market share. The woman behind the counter wants you to know that SHE is in charge, and that YOU are at her mercy. Show up at 3:01 pm with a registered package, NO DICE she won't take those after 3, she might get too busy. Same for international parcels, don't bother her with those after 3, SHE might get busy, and who are you to demand service anyhow? Problem is, they don't open until afternoon, and then she takes a 45 minute lunch break that begins promptly, but ends when she feels like it. This woman thinks she is queen of the tiny drab box she works in, and unless you want to bow down, you're ahead to use fedex, at least they care about their customers.

Nothing is postmarked-- just got a bill dated on the 1st, apparently mailed around the 12th, received on the 15, and DUE ON THE 21ST. Can't mail a check until Monday and if it gets there late and they charge a late fee and there is no postmark date, unless I physically waste an hour to go to the po, wait in line for a window clerk, and drive back through traffic. I know these big companies are trying to force everybody into automatic bill payment but this is borderline fraud. I though the Post Office was required to postmark first class mail!

Our mail carrier service is the worst - but only when our REGULAR carrier is working! We are in a very small building with 2 doors and 2 businesses - the doors are literally 10 steps away from each other. Our regular carrier REFUSES to bring us our mail in Unit B and delivers ALL mail to Unit A - which if they are not here that day, we do not get our mail. EVERY SINGLE SUBSTITUTE CARRIER SPLITS OUR MAIL FOR US with the exception of our regular carrier. He is rude and arrogant. After this absolutely disappointing experience I am convinced to avoid utilizing USPS for future mailing of any sort. From now on forward I will choose FedEx or UPS and I would advise everyone else to do the same unless you want to be absolutely frustrated and deal with a bunch of incompetent "professionals" who clearly lack structure, training and basically everything a properly running post office provides. Thank you for nothing USPS, now I must take matters in my own hands and reprint the entire document and drive it to the recipient myself.

In the Denver Metro Area most post offices don't take letters or packages after 5 PM. If I have to get a package postmarked and out the SAME DAY, this is the absolute last USPS Facility in Denver to take your package. They take mail up until 9:30 PM every day except Sundays. The staff is helpful and friendly. I have had nothing but good experiences here. Most people don't know that USPS partners with FedEx to handle all of the USPS Priority and Express Mail. I can honestly say I have never had a problem with Priority Mail and I ship and receive a lot of packages for my eBay business!

My package was last tracked to this facility and has not been updated to where it is currently and was supposed to be delivered to me yesterday Monday March 21st 2016. Customer service claims that my package destination is Connecticut, but then why is my package from Tennessee here in Denver where it is supposed to be? This is ridiculous!!!

My package was lost here and I never saw it again. I found out many people have had this issue. I am really disappointed with the fact that I'm definitely not satisfied and others are not satisfied. I guarantee USPS knows that their is an issue at this facility. But they could care less. This needs to be shut down. I honestly will never ship USPS again. It makes it even worse that they won't even try to help you. They won't even pick up the phone. Do not ship USPS because they will lose your package at Denver guaranteed.

After shipping 2 pckgs from Walsenburg to Washington , 1 arrived late, and the other for some unexplained reason, is stuck at this facility. Cannot get a live person on the phone. This was a one of a kind piece of art. ...present for a little girl. It's now lost and no one will help. Be warned...use Fedex.

Package sat here at this facility for about 4 days. After reading all these people reviews I honestly started to panic. Low and behold it was the weather that was causing issues. Thank you for getting my package out, and closer to me. I know how hard USPS employees work, and I definitely appreciate it. Ty. If anyone does need help with a package go to USPS'S website and go to faqs, contact by email. Submit a case (not a claim) and they'll most likely track your package down if you're having tracking issues. Thanks again Denver distribution facility.

Took me all of 4 days to schedule a passport appointment because apparently usps uses the "call back" system. Now I need to reschedule my appointment and cannot get in contact with anyone! Very poor customer service!!! A customer had a package delivered to this address and someone in the front post office signed for it, the people working there are saying they do not have her package. It does not make since to sign for something that you did not receive. Do not go to this post office, the employees working at the frontt desk will sign for your package and they will say they never received it. Very disappointed!!!!

A package was supposed to be over nighted from this office to a post office less than 8 minutes away and it hasn't arrived, even three days afterward. The package was signed for at this location, then the office claims they do not have it, and keep giving me the 800 call center number, who then tell me to talk to the people at the post office. If you enjoy being ignored and paying an exorbitant rate to have your packages lost, this is the place for you. I will never return to this office again.

This is the most disorganized post office I've ever dealt with. They do not answer their phones and they have very poor customer service. I recently ordered a package on ebay, the post office left me a notice in my mail box advising it would be available for pick up for 'x' amount of days. (This is after they only attempted delivery ONE TIME.) When I stopped into this USPS Location to pick it up, timely, they had already returned it to the seller! Several days early! After the seller reshipped the item to me, the USPS Tracking details list it as being "refused" & then, a few hours later on the same date, "delivered" -- but it never was delivered!! I still haven't received the item!

This USPS is always helpful and very informative. There's a stigma about post office workers being rude and uncaring, and I have definitely encountered these kinds in cities around the country. When I lived in Milwaukee, this was the very reason that I avoided the one in Shorewood whenever I could, and went to this one instead. I know that they have to deal with a lot of stuff, but I've never seen a rude or disgruntled worker at the MLK Dr. post office. I went there a lot too. This place should train other USPS post offices on customer service because they are great at it.

Just moved here. Walked into location to get postage stamp so I could mail my rent payment. Handed the envelop to the lady behind the counter. Mailed it out on 1/25 and it still hasn't arrived as of 2/4. It's was being mailed locally. It should have taken 3 days at most. Now I have to cancel money order, pay $18 cancellation fee, and pay cash for rent this month. Landlord says her mailman always mixes up her mail with other relatives with same last name. The rude, surely lady wasnt even going to file the claim at all under the pretences that she believed the seller was a scammer and mailed the item broken. My company has sent several packages to several clients in Cary, NC. The packages usually make it to Cary, NC just fine, but for some reason, they get rerouted to this facility, where they get lost, never to be seen again. The phone number listed just redirect you to this answering machine with the most obnoxious old lady voice in the history of human recording. This station is like the Bermuda Triangle of packages. Any package that comes in here will be lost never to be seen again, and even opening cases and putting claims through the 1800 number did nothing to solve it. USPS in general, is a steaming pile of flaming and rotting garbage, sad excuse of an organization, but this sorting facility shines bright as the jewel on top of the crown of putrid and foul "service" that USPS "provides".

Beware - Beware It is impossible to reach anyone by phone at this location. My package was mailed with tracking on Jan 7th, 2016 going from Maryland to Prescott, Arizona. It arrived in Greensboro, NC on January 9th, 2016 on the tracking information. Now it is Jan. 21st, 2016 and no information is available as to where the package could be. Delivery on my receipt was scheduled to be on January 14th, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona. The tracking shows it is in route to it destination Since January 9th, 2106. I have made 18 phone calls so far trying to locate this package. In most USPS locations I can not get an answer and it is impossible to contact anyone in the Greensboro, NC distribution center. In looking at other reviews of packages being lost in the Greensboro, NC distribution center I am wondering if they have a person there that is taking packages when they see an insured label on them. From now on I will use Fed-Ex for shipping packages. It is likely that this package will never be found and replacement of the item inside is not possible. January 25th - package still missing and tracking is still showing the same from Jan 9th. Finally made contact with mail recovery center. They could not tell me anything. Told me to wait for a total of 30 days and gave me a claim number. Upon my asking more questions the woman hung up the phone on me. I have not made 36 phone calls trying to locate this package. February 7th, 2016 Greensboro, NC still can not locate this package. March 7, 2016 - Package still not located and now they are trying to deny the claim. Having read [Marcia]'s eviscerating review, it's safe to say my expectations were low on the sunny afternoon I walked towards the RenCen USPS. I sought the same prize she had, a solitary, simple book of stamps. Stepping inside, I braced myself for Service turbulence--- and for the silent moment that no one looked up I was sure I was about to get the same... Fortunately this was not to be, and I was welcomed to the first service desk with a disarmingly warm and sincere smile. What followed during this ever-so brief and efficient transaction was quite possibly the most enjoyable service I've dealt with in the entirety of AD 2009. The delightful woman behind the counter was friendly-- even downright jovial with sharp wit as she rang through my purchase and even bothered to protect my identity with an ID=check before accepting my credit card {a rarity in today's hectic, fast-paced world.} I was in-and-out in a matter of only a minute or two, but the simple experience literally lifted my day. Thus, I felt compelled to balance the feedback here. I don't know whether the other reviewer merely dealt with the same clerk on a different day {admittedly, this woman did seem capable of something as hilarious as telling someone to wait in line in an empty store}, or someone else altogether. What I do know is that I intend to return to this office for all of my future mailing needs, as it was the finest service I've ever had from the USPS. It's also pretty fun to walk around inside the RenCen if you don't usually.

I am a regular customer at the bailey's crossroads post office but the seven corners location was on my route to work today. I had a prepaid small package to drop off but discovered that this location has no drop box in its lobby. It was 8:00 AM and an employee was in the building walking around but he refused to simply allow me to place my prepaid package on the counter. He couldn't even devote a full sentence to me and walked out of the public area to avoid me. I don't understand why I was not allowed to drop the box off, it required nothing from him and would have been equivalent to using the drop box at any other post office. I am certainly never using this post office again and I am likely to use UPS or FedEx because they are open at convenient times and have an actual understanding of customer service, unlike the post office.

Trying to find out when mail would be delivered to my address. So I called them for about 30 minutes straight and it would say no one is available to take your call and hang up. So I walk to the post office and ask has a carrier delivered mail to my address. The woman at the counter says that they have no way to track their drivers. She went on to say that they won't get back until five. So from the time they start delivering mail they have no idea where there drivers are, that's not good at all. THIS IS A MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE. WHEN MY MAIL COMES UP MISSING I KNOW WHO TO BLAME. PLEASE TEACH YOUR CARRIER TO BE MORE MINDFULL AND NOT TO RUSH THROUGH THE JOB. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN EMERGENCY NUMBER SO I CAN REPORT THIS IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN AND THEY CAN SEND A SUPERVISOR OUT TO LOCK THE BOX. I KNOW THIS BOX LOCKS WITH AN " ARROW KEY ". They claimed "Business closed" just because their system tells them, way to go relying on the "System"... The delivery address is less than 5 city block away, Come on! A classy well run operation, Very knowledgeable staff. When you go look for the neat guy with the bowtie and the smile, his name is James. As a full time online seller we used to have problems because we did not know how to ship items properly. This is no exaggeration! The entire team on E.Reno is excellent. The team is dedicated to getting you the best price on your shipping and to helping you get your items there quick. We do alot of international shipping and this is the place to go if you need to ship to Canada, Ireland or even the Russian Federation. They move the line fast and the really get the job done. This post office marked my address as incorrect and delayed my package delivery...strange since they have delivered things to me NUMEROUS times before at this very address. I don't even want to give this place any stars. It should be shut down. There's a post office on 125th anyway. You will wait no less than 45 minutes (at any time of day) to pick up your package that they most likely never tried to deliver. They have lost at least 3 packages in the 3 years I've been in the area. They are massively understaffed and the employees have taken that as a license to be lazy as well. Just got done with a nearly hour wait to find my package missing again.

Does not get any worse than this. This is why the USPS will not exist in ten years. The staff has no performance worries, cannot get fired, lazy. I have no idea what the status of it is so I called in. I have an outgoing call lasting 1 MINUTE for them to tell me they didnt have my package and didnt know where it was and I would have to wait for an update. Worthless employees

I'd choose USPS over UPS any day. The line was very long but it went quickly. The woman at the counter was helpful in describing what I needed to do to ship my package overseas. She made sure to emphasise not to use priority mail anything unless I wanted to pay to ship it priority mail. I was in and out in about 15 minutes (half the time was me writing addresses on boxes ).

This office delivers my mail... Sorry, they sometimes deliver my mail. They consistently lose items. I have not received items ranging in value from $10 all the way to $500 when delivered through this office. I have only been receiving mail through this location since April 2014 and they have already lost a half dozen items. As a young 20 something, I move fairly often when my lease is up, new job, etc. and I have never had mail actually lost. I've had mail that was delivered WAY late from other postal offices, but delivered nevertheless. Please avoid or use a private service.

I had no choice but to frequent this post office for 7 years because it was close to my job and now that I am no longer at that job, I can share with others that they should avoid this post office at all costs. The employees are rude and the management is semi worthless (not just to me either, I watched them talk down to others). One time that sticks out, is a $200 jacket that was supposed to be delivered was lost and when I went over and inquired about it, the female clerk said "I don't have time for this right now, I have a line." The manager heard her and found the time to find the jacket in the back. Another time, the male who is there all the time, got nasty because I needed a receipt for a package being shipped and *gasp* he had to do his job. Another time, an envelope with a cashiers check was ripped to shreads due to their shoddy machines and do you think anyone who worked there gave a d*mn? Not at all. Not even management. I was told by a postman there that the people I am describing had a lot of complaints filed against them and have been employed with the USPS for a long time, is this why they aren't being let go? You would think if they have been there that long, they would be a lot more pleasant to those who pay their salary and it would show to the public that they really like their jobs. The man (I think his name is Ron) and the woman (red hair, glasses) clearly are miserable at their positions. Avoid them and that office and find another.

Once again I have the pleasure of sharing the utter incompetence of yet another post office. This time it is the Denver sorting facility. In a moment of weakness, I decided to try the post office one more time. I sent a relatively small box priority mail (if ever there was an oxymoron) to the east coast. Two day mail but not guaranteed because it never arrives when the advertise. Fedex on thorizine. As it happened, it spent 7-8 days in limbo in Denver and although I could see it languish, USPS was helpless to address their own buffoonery they call a business, Alas it required over 14 day to arrive, as the Bridgeport CT office was only marginally better at delivering the mail. I can understand, they are so preoccupied by more important and menial task than mail delivery like planning their vacation. Abolish the USPS.

Seems like the only time they have more than 1 star are for people that visit them personally. I do not live in Austin to visit them personally. I wish they had the same great customer service for the people that try to call. THEY WON"T ANSWER THE PHONE! Would also give negative stars if I could. I had a birthday present scheduled to be delivered the day before the birthday. It was processed at their facility on 5/14. It is 5/24 and the tracking on the package is still in a 'processed' status. Tracking also says it was due to be delivered on 5/19. They will NEVER answer the phone when I try to call and I'm convinced someone decided to keep said package for themselves.

Not sure why people constantly complain about no one answering the phone.I called them once to get info on my po box they answered. Called four other times randomly to verify if they would answer and they did. Customer service here is good too. The negative comments on here are for ridiculous reasons. You don't live in Austin but you left a negative comment to mislead other people. Sounds like you had a bad experience or where turned down. You do have the option to put the name of whom you spoke with when you got bad customer service instead of putting the blame on the entire post office... I havent came across anyone bad there yet but better believe if I did this comment would change in a heart beat. You can't trust every comment you come across on Google maps because Sadly there are times when people try to attack others because the workers were just doing there job. And they couldn't get there way.

I get my mail without too many issues but whenever I decide to order anything no matter the size there is ALWAYS a problem either they lose it, or somehow fail to deliver it then blame it on me by saying no one answered when I have literally canceled my entire day to wait at home just to have them not show up. And then they have the nerve to say a notice was left when my door and mailbox are void of this notice they claim to have left. I can only solve my issue by moving this is what I was told by a "customer service rep" WTF ??? USPS is a joke if I had any other way to receive my mail / packages I would be elated .

If you cant do your job right or are just to damn lazy to do it right!!.. Than GET ANOTHER JOB.. (IFYOU CAN).... If I could give it 0 stars I would. I sent 11 packages with the same type of label and only one (with the most valuable items) was "lost". I called customer service about my lost package and even though all other 10 packages arrived with in 3 days they said to wait 3-4 weeks. I waited and kept checking my local post office for the package and they said keep waiting. I refused to listen this time and was able to file a lost package in hopes of them searching for the contents of my package. Go figure 3 months later I receive my labels all perfectly removed from my package which they found less than a week from shipping. Due to the post office employee not offering my insurance for my packages Im now out 400$ in items I lost as with out insurance there is no guarentee that the package will get to the destination. I also had another post office employee give me false information on purpose, which she later admitted. HORRIBLE expereince and very frustrated with their customer service. My package was last seen at the Bell Garden, CA facility which is known to lose packages.

They also lost my statement to Fingerhut -I had to make another payment, & pay a late charge of $34. About two yrs ago, They lost my lot payment. I had to pay a late fee of $35, plus another payment pf $332. the lost payment was received 4 months ;later. This is a big concern for most people that are poor. Why is a United States funded place not responsible for the delivery of mail?? Should we go back to Pony Express when people were more responsible, & more honest??

We never received merchandise ordered from a department store. The letter from the MRC suggested that in the future we should have our name and address inside the package and to include a return address on the package. Duh, we didn't send it. The package actually made it to our local P.O., with it being photograph, but the package was damaged. Who knows where it went from there, but since the P.O. last had it and now can't find it, draw your own conclusions. Perhaps the P.O. should investigate within. Search ID#191318.

Awful! (And I have to give at least 1 start in order to post this!)... I mailed a box of baking and cooking books to a friend back in January. When the postal clerk asked if the contents are perishable, etc., I said it was books. He suggested Media Mail as a less-expensive option. Since there was no rush on this and was only going over into the next state from me, I opted to use this service, even though the value of the contents was well over $100. Well... It never made it. I filed claim through my local Post Master, and even provided an itemized list (by title and author) of the contents along with a nice letter thanking them in advance for helping to locate my items. Yesterday I received a generic notice yesterday that after thoroughly searching for my items, they were unable to locate them. My heart feels like they didn't even look. Then I see a site on line where I guess at least some of the "unclaimed" items are auctioned off. I have no idea what happened to my books. I am so beyond disappointed.

Why are government workers so freaking slow??? You can tell by looking in their eyes that they simply do not care about their performance or your satisfaction. One time a postal worker was playing music on his boombox without management correcting him and he could barely hear me because the music was so loud. They don't seem to appreciate the great benefits and security of having a job. You wonder why the USPS is so much in debt with no profit margin. Please fix this insanity.

I am not sure what everyone is so angry about. I have been using this office for several years now and have had great experience with each time. Most of my dealings with the office and the people in in are actually not what one would think as usual. Nevertheless everyone has been more than pleasant, helpful and simply great. I am also not so sure why so many of the review writes are so negative about the government employees... I have had nothing but a good experience with great majority of them. Mind you please that I have never worked for any type of government. I am in my mid 40s now. So, all of you looking to just be angry and unsatisfied with some one; look inward. I live in a housing addition where there three homes with the same numerical address but a DIFFERENT STREET NAME. when there is a substitute delivery person, chances of me getting any mail is only 33%. I am retired and check my mail often if there isn't any in the box. I'll check until about 6 PM, then give it up. I have a newspaper box under my mailbox and I always look in my mailbox in the morning when I get my paper. It's NOT funny that following a day when I don't get any mail, there is mail in my mailbox at 7 AM. My mail is being mis-delivered and my kind neighbors with the same number address drop it in my mailbox sometime overnight. I got two letters from my bank with credit cards AND the notices that I should have received the new cards one morning. The notices generally follow card delivery by about a week. My postman normally picks up at noon every day. One day a few months ago he took off and someone else did the route and they completely missed my house. I have a home based business so not good when you have a bunch of orders that need to go. It is now going on 3pm and no one has come to pick up my packages so I called. I was very polite, I just said that my mailman normally comes around noon everyday and he hasn't showed up yet and since my house was missed awhile back I thought I'd better call. The hateful response I received was "uh, yeah, it's called Christmas!". I said well you don't have to be so rude about it. His reply "well I can't believe you are calling up here when he's only 3 hours late." Seriously? I have a business to run therefore you can kiss my @ss and I hung up. Oh how I wish I'd gotten that @sshole's name. The Spring Hill location is very rude. I'm actually quite surprised that they even answered their phone. Last Summer I went in to inquire about what would be the most cost effective ways for me to mail items for my business and was told by a woman who worked there that I needed to read the website. The office in Columbia, TN. is the complete opposite. Columbia has a very great, friendly and helpful staff but EVERYONE I have encountered in Spring Hill are mean and hateful. I went to the Spring Hill Post Office (Where Our Mail comes to to get delivered) to talk to someone, but no one has ever called me or made any attempt to let me know anything. I think my packages were delivered somewhere else and their afraid to go retrieve them. If I could I would rate them several negative stars if I could. I stopped by again on September 3rd, 2015 to give them a copy of the Police Report I filed and the Clerk said they had no responsibility for either misdirected or mail theft. This post office is terrible. Sent my wife's Christmas gift on the wrong truck then left a note on the tracking information that said it was an undeliverable address. So instead of correcting their mistake and sending it in the right truck on the right route they simply sent it back to the sender. When I called to figure out what happened I was told on two separate occasions that I would receive a call back and I still have yet to receive a call or my wife's Christmas gift. Oh, and it's our first Christmas as a married couple. Thanks for the memories assholes.

Hard to get in contact with... I am having the same issues as everyone else... When my mailbox was up they said that my package was unbelievable. The post Man actually knocked my mailbox box down. I have been trying to reach them. Horrible! My neighbors actually told me he did it.

Terrible service at this branch, our carrier just sits in the driveway and lays on the horn until someone comes out to claim a package. We've also witnessed her throwing packages at the door as well.At least in those case though I actually received the package. I'm currently waiting on them to track down my package which they delivered to someone with a different name, house #, and street (not sure how they could mix that up) and of course they can't just tell me the what house it is so I can go get it myself.

Was supposed to receive a package of Amazon, check the tracking and it read that the package was undeliverable as addressed. I admit the city on the parcel was Birmingham instead of Center Point but it had the right street address and proper nine digit zip code that pinpoints the exact house in the route sequence. How do I know that? I am a Mail Processing Equipment (MPE) Mechanic at the United States Postal Service. Still waiting for my package!

If you are bringing a load to this location, do not expect to be unloaded in a timely manner. The employees are rude and do not think that you matter. Or do they care that you have anywhere else to be.

Carried in business mail packages including one item that cost $54 Priority Mail Postage. Gave the counter person a USPS Scan Form for all of that mail. The counter postal employee appeared to scan the Scan Form. One day later, the $54 Priority Mail Package is missing from their tracking. The Kings Rd Post Office will not answer their phone. The main USPS Customer Service line cannot track the package because the Kings Road Post Office has not processed it. No one can communicate with the other. Very Frustrating. The package shipped is a perishable item. They tell me that they will file a complaint but that it will take 48 to 72 hours to respond. Stay away from the Kings Road post office!!! They suck!

These folks were fabulous at Christmas time. All counters were manned and they moved people through very quickly. They had the most helpful employee assisting folks in he line with their mail and packages.

THEFT: Somebody from the Post Office possibly from Jacksonville Florida USPS shipping from Clarksville Indiana, opened my box full of Christmas gifts for my grandkids and STOLE A FROZEN DOLL WITH MICROPHONE and replaced it with a black Disney Princess Doll! Dishonest. Thanks. I worked hard to buy my grandkids gifts and you guys stole from me.. Remember the public depends on you to do the right thing at all times and not steal from us. Remember, God is watching you. I'm in the military so from one FEDERAL WORKER TO ANOTHER FEDERAL WORKER, thanks for stealing.

I use this post office weekly and although it is sometimes crowded, I always get great service. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

I recently shipped a 20 pound box from Jacksonville to Arkansas to my mother, it was filled with all sorts of things and something sentimental. The side of the box was "Cut Out" and EVERYTHING WAS STOLEN!!! Actually had the nerve to deliver and empty box To top it off I did insure the box, But the Kings Road location tracking number on my receipt is not a valid tracking number. So I can't file a claim, so I have to go back to the Post Office. This is disheartening that Government workers are stealing!!! I will never mail from this location again.

They will not stop changing my address and forwarding my mail to my work, my dad's house, and every other address I have lived at for the last 20 year. The only place they will not send my mail to is my house. I also cannot shop online anymore because the idiot postman keeps leaving the packages outside the door to my WORK and they keep getting stolen. Probably wouldn't happen if they would just send the damned things to the address I have lived at for the last 3 years. I have had to fill out the damned change of address form 10 times and for some reason they still keep changing it.

The older long haired man Dan Owens is RUDE. He snapped at me for walking up to the counter too slowly when no one else was even in the store. He told me he didn't have to accept my mail if he didn't want to because I wrote an address in red ink. He told me that if i didnt have a first and last name on packages that he didn't have to accept the packages. They were care packages for cancer children and they were going to names like Team Ziron and Team Nick and yes the addresses were complete addresses. He also closed the post office three minutes early because HIS watch said it was five when the three or four people that came in with me said their cell phones ALL said 4:57. He said oh well my watch says five. He is just plain rude and I dont know why you people keep him!

Once again I get home early to receive a package and get a "no recipient home" notice instead of someone actually checking to see if I am home. This time I even put a big sign on the door and left the garage door open but that made no difference. There is no way Fedex or UPS would tolerate this yet it's something the post office seems okay with. It is an unacceptable inconvenience to me to keep going to the Belton post office for packages that I can readily receive.

HELPFUL, CARING CLERKS, ALWAYS FAST SERVICE! I had been waiting two weeks for a package. I finally decided to track it and realized I had accidently typed my zip code wrong. The tracking said it was in Belton. I drove to Belton to see if I could pick my package up. After showing the clerk the tracking I pulled up, he found my package! I told him I was happy the package was there because I ALWAYS get good customer service. The clerks are quick and if the line is long, they get more clerks to open more lines. Thank you again, Belton post office for finding my rather small package.

Though the people working at the post office are kind and helpful, the postal service itself it horrendous. I was supposed to have garunteed delivery of my package yesterday. I was home all day and waited to receive it. After post office closed I got an update on my package delivery telling me it was at the post office ready for pick up since 10:00am YESTERDAY. Yet, I had not received any slip in the mail box. Today, I had to be away from the house for 1 hour and they decided that's when they would deliver my package, but since I wasn't home, they left a package claim slip in the mail. I don't know why they didn't just leave the package like normal and why they didn't do their job in the first place by delivering it to me yesterday as promised. Now, I will be unable to pick up my package until Monday.

Very very rude staff. We went to do our passport after speaking to someone they said we would have to come back at a certain time because of them being understaffed we came back at the time he told us and all other employees were rude gave us the run around and told us they couldn't help us. NEVER AGAIN!
