So glad to have one in our town, but I know they have hurt local appliance retailers as they cannot sell as cheaply. Employees try to be helpful but many know less than I do. Their end of the season sales are excellent. Nice discount for veterans and my husband uses his discount often.

We don't live very far from a Lowe's, so usually, I just use the website to get prices before I have to go hunt the items down in their massive store. Generally, I find Lowe's to be a bit overpriced compared to competitors on certain items. This is especially true for home needs items like faucets and light fixtures. Occasionally though, they will have a better deal on an item we need. But I dread going through their website sometimes! Even though I am signed up, I still have to fill out zip code information every time I want to see an individual price. If I am comparing several items, that can be a big headache after awhile. What I do love about Lowe's is how fast they respond to an order for say, a large appliance, and how friendly the delivery people are. It may be a local thing, but I like how they chat around about home remodeling and DIY while they are installing the appliances. It make sit seem like they enjoy their job and at least know a little bit about what they are doing! I think the Lowe's website could use some improvement, but you can't beat them for being a one-stop place to get ideas for your home repair needs. Even if you don't buy from them.

Great products and prices, but they don't care about our veterans. This company has successfully limited the 'veteran pool' by giving a 10% discount ONLY to active duty or veterans with a VETERAN ID CARD, which is now ONLY issued to RETIRED veterans with 20+ years, you don't count, effectively reducing the number of veterans they give a discount to. Even a form DD-214, which PROVES your service, is not good enough! Shame on them for not treating ALL who served the same! They ALL put everything on the line, no matter how long they served! It's WRONG to recognize only a select group just to save a buck!

No place is perfect, but I've never had a problem with Lowes. Their service has always been good, and they've always been willing to work with me when I've been unhappy with something. Of course, I've never had them do a big job or anything, it's just stuff that I buy.

Every body there jumps out to help you. Not hard to find it when you need it. Unlike other homebuilding stores locally. People are there to help you and not complaining while they are doing it. I like Lowes they got just about everything I need. And they have a really good gardening section with patios, chairs. plants, decorations, You name it. They Make you feel like your a part of. I like Lowes because of the selection of items it carries. However they are not as helpful as they once were and not friendly at all. I tend to stay with home depot because of their customer service instead of shopping at Lowes. At times though Lowes has the best deal or the product I want so I will go there but again lack of customer service does not make me a constant customer of theirs and I go only when I need to

I brought an attic ladder to make it easy access to my loft space. The opening was a non standard size, I found what I needed at lowes & for a very good price. Getting the Christmas tree & decorations down from the attic space has been made easier by this sturdy & substantial ladder & we also added a pulley system to lower items down & hoist them up. I would recommend this to anyone with movements difficulty because with 3" runs to climb on its nowhere near as uncomfortable as a standard attic ladder.

My washing machine bit the dust after 20 years. None of the stores in our small town sells appliances, and to go shop for one meant driving quite a distance. So I looked at Lowes website, found the same brand, and ordered it from the nearest store, sight unseen. They delivered it and hooked it up the very next day, and hauled the old one off. Couldnt be more pleased!

My wife and I have shopped there for several years, but we've switched to Home Depot. Overall, the sales staff has been knowledgeable and helpful, BUT, we're sick and tired of listening to messages in SPANISH over the loudspeaker and we're also beyond tired of being hassled at the check-out by having to endure what seems like a 5-minute dissertation on WHY we NEED to have a MY LOWES card. We explained over and over again that we're JUST NOT INTERESTED in their card and that we're tired of listening to what they have to say, yet, they continue-on with this never-ending speech as though they're deaf to what the customer is telling them about have no interest whatsoever. NOBODY likes being HARRASSED at the check-out stand!

Time and time again, I go to my local Lowes because it is so close to my home. Time and time again, I walk out with nothing because they don't have what I need - either out of stock or they never carried it How can such a big store be so "empty" ???? The employees are helpful enough. The "greeters" are useless - its downright annoying that they waste their time saying "hello" when they might be putting proper price stickers on the stock or doing something else useful. The most helpful ones are those that tell me where I can actually get the item I'm looking for - most often NOT at Lowes. They offer a "lowest price guarantee". I've never tested that, because if I can get the item cheaper someplace else, why bother going back to Lowes and trying to prove that it's the same item to get the same price? Sad.

We have bought little things from lowes over the years, but no major purchases until recently. We bought a washer and dryer ( one of the smart ones)...The delivery people were nice. They got it all set up and then also showed me how to work it so I didnt have to read the manual that came with it...showed me all the features on it, and even wiped it down before they left so there were no fingerprints on it. Its the touches like that which will make me return.

Lowes often carries different brands than Home Depot. Which can be nice. Off line, in my neighborhood, they are opposite each other. You have to park out of state to get into Home Depot. You can park in front of the L at Lowes, no one is there, plenty of people to help, I have no idea why this is. They are just fine. Its always quicker and nicer to go to Lowes in my neighborhood.

Abysmal. They delivered three two dented stoves, and one who's lower level pot drawer was so badly bent it was off by several inches leaving an wide gaping opening on on side of the drawer, Additionally, the delivery left a deep one foot long and 1/4" deep scratch scratch on my just beautifully restored wooden kitchen floor. there were wood shavings on the floor like someone had puled an ice skate across, or was carving their initially. I warned the delivery person that he was going to do it, when he dragged the appliance across the floor w/o a moving blanket. He said no it would not scratch the floor and then when it did, he just freely walked across my kitchen, turned on the water, grabbed my dish towel and said you won't notice it after I rub it with some water, you won't see a thing. When it was still glaring at us all, he didn't say a word, not even an apology. I wrote Lowe's about the experience and they never wrote back. We now have this ungly 1 foot long, 1/4" inch deep channeled scratch across the floor that has darkened and looks like someone took a graffiti marker or black crayon and ran it across the rust out so they can not be cleaned and put back until they are 100% dry, and all spills need to immediately moped up. The stove 's enamel chipped after three days, when I dropped a spoon from a height of about 3 1/2" inches above it and it nicked the outer edge of the stove on it's it's decent. Now I look at a chip sitting between both jets. There are chips all over it. I have never had an enamel stove ever chip before, even when heavy things have fallen, nor had a major company not respond to a a letter of complaint about it's staff, or come across a delivery person so surly. What adult does not know that if you put a heavy object with a sharp jagged metal edge on a wood surface, it's going to leave a very big and big deep scratch, that won't be helped by a wipe as the varnish is gone. There were no moving blankets used and he refused to use the towel I offered. Our floor was ruined and each year the dent looks darker and shabbier. We spent nearly 1,300 on that floor's restoration. I was thoroughly shocked that he would walk across my kitchen like he owned the place and turn on the tap, grab my dish towel and go to use it on the floor. Not only die he not apologize but he copped an abusive attitude. When I told him I was upset about the damage to the floor that I had warned him would occur if they did not put a moving blanket or towel under it, he ignored me. So I will NEVER buy another appliance from them as long as I live. Opposite experience with Sears and Home Depot, delivery people were smart careful, professional and the appliances we purchased from them have held up beautifully. I would have expected to have gotten a response from Lowes' and the complaint addressed- nothing!

I am amazed at Lowes.com. Everything from the store is online which makes it extremely easy to check things out before heading to the actual store. Most of the time I just check online before making a trip to my local Lowes in Texas. However I did order a few items they didn't carry on the website. Very easy and cheap shipping too! Many sales and discounts come in the mail as well...Especially for the paint which can be expensive. I highly recommend Lowes.com and the brick and mortar stores.

We bought a brand new refrigerator from them and it was priced reasonably. We had to wait to get the refrigerator but as soon as it came in from the Whirlpool factory they brought it over and set it up! They were considerate and careful when moving it in to set it up and did no damages to it what-so-ever! I love my regrigerator and it's working in tip top condition! Thanks Lowe's!

Lowe's has always been my go-to store for hardware and gardening. They stock a good deal of items that other stores do not have which have uses that go beyond their advertised use, for instance the concrete mixing trays which can be used for fish ponds, above ground gardens and miniature play grounds for turtles and small pets while keeping messes neatly in one place. Their prices are comparable to other hardware and gardening stores and they carry a good variety from different brands so you have a choice as to what you want to use. They often have year-end sales that will blow your socks off at how cheaply you can purchase plants, bulbs and seeds, many for over 80% off. They even carry Yellow Wood products which are hard to find. They have a good return policy if things do not work out as expected. All the plants I have purchased there survived and thrived and the gardening equipment; shovels, pruners, string trimmers are in their fifth and sixth year or use or longer and still functioning like new. The salespeople can be a bit annoying asking if you need help every time you turn the corner, but it is nice that they are there if you need them, though good luck if you want them there to cut a chain or make a key!!! Still, they tend to respond fairly quickly when you press the call button unless you press it repeatedly, then I think they come slower just out or principle. The personnel are friendly and knowledgeable and usually older, so more dedicated and on-task and they make shopping fun by creating centralized shopping areas where you can browse. Their indoor garden area has cute garden statues, wind chimes, planters and arrangements so they have a good option of gift giving ideas to brighten up the home and garden as well. Check-out lines are rarely long and move quickly and you can order on-line and pick up at the store. It is rare to find anything that is not in stock.

I did not shop at this store but placed a large order online for 12 light fixtures for decorative track lighting. The price was fair and the shipping was promised to be timely. This was important for my time-sensitive renovation. However, not only did the order arrive late but it was 12 of the wrong light fixtures. The most disappointing part was the customer service as they were extremely unhelpful and did not return my phone calls or emails for several days at a time. Rather than issue me a shipping label to ship it back and get the correct items to me ASAP, they insisted I bring my shipment into a Lowe's store and deal with the problem there. They gave me no guarantee that the correct items would be available to order in the store and when I pressed them, they said they would call me back tomorrow. And now one week later, they still have not called. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE from Lowe's. Terrible customer service!

Lowes, Electrolux and Frigidaire is all refurbished junk. I think most everything right now is. They refused to fix a 3,000 appliance that quit (my kitchen built around) and they feel no obligation after five years. I have 7 children and still live with a tiny little bread oven that's it that works. Everything quit and if I wanted to fix, "sorry we no longer have parts" (after 5 years). What kind of company has no obligation to complete and fix? Oh, after bickering with ELECTROLUX (sorry, they recommended calling an attorney). So, stay away from them and why buy if in 5 years you have to hire an attorney. Absolute horrible customer service and company. Not the way I was brought up or the way my grandmother ran her business.

We purchased a designer Pella sliding door from Lowes and had one of their installers install the door. First, the day they were suppose to install never happened. Received call at the end of day to reschedule another day. After installer installed the door, asked me to sign that the door was installed and never asked me to check the door and sign off. Without thinking of any consequences, I signed. After we signed, we noticed that there was a slight dent in the door and 2 scratches on the paint. Even the threshold had a dent. Called Lowes and complained and they told us that they will do nothing because we signed off on the paperwork. A large company like Lowes, should try to satisfy customers. This was a very expensive door! It is all about the money - greedy! Will never purchase from Lowes again. Do not recommend.

We purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher in September. Granted it was not a high priced one but our previous one was and was suppose to be the quiet one. Well it was not. It did do the dishes good though. But my mother-in-law had a Frigidaire and it worked very well so we thought why not try it. Well it DOES NOT DRY DISHES AT ALL. I will get a service person out but right now it is not acceptable. Our other one was 18 years old and the springs for door broke and they were quite high, but now I wish I had purchased the springs.

We purchased a Lowe's extended warranty for our Samsung dishwasher. Less than a year after the purchase we had to have someone come and repair the dishwasher 3 times. We asked if they would replace the dishwasher and were told no, because it was under the manufactures warranty. Our dishwasher has broken again and we were informed they will not replace it, because we are now in the Lowe's warranty coverage and it needs to be repaired 4 times all repairs a minimum of a month apart.

I just called Lowe's today to try to order more racks to my freezer and the lady was so gross and rude with me. She screamed on the phone because I was not giving her the right number of the model of my freezer (because I didn't know where to find the number). But she was so impatient and couldn't let me talk or ask anything that could help me and help her to find a best way to solve my problem. Was the second time I had bad time with Lowe's. Today (Nov/9/15 - 8:23am) was with this lady.

The website clearly states the store opens at 8 a.m. on Sundays. The store did not open until 9 a.m. Employees at the store were unfriendly and unconcerned about the discrepancy. There was also no manager on duty to address this issue. While I waited outside to speak with a manager for over 30 minutes to inquire about the hours multitudes of people came to the store disappointed that the store was not open. All had the same complaint about the website's hours listed. This store needs a refresher course in customer service.

I bought a $1,500 stainless steel whirlpool gas convection range at Lowes at the end of July. Less than a month later the oven quit working and would only display the message "Fan speed too low, contact service". That was over 2 months ago. Both Lowes and Whirlpool have been spectacularly incompetent since. Each has blamed the other for the problem. It took a month for them to get a repairman out to our house and then he said he couldn't fix it and walked out, explaining that he would call us in a couple days. That was 3 weeks ago... Never did hear back from him. I've been to my local Lowes where the Appliances manager tried to get in touch with the repair man with no success. After weeks like this, the appliances manager told me that if I hadn't gotten help by today, they would just issue a gift card for my purchase price and I could buy a new one of my choice.

My husband and I bought a new fridge (Samsung 29 CU ft 4 door fridge RF31FMESBSR/AA) on August 31st. It was originally $2,278.80 and was on sale for the holiday for $1600. Great deal, we thought! We were so excited about our fridge, we went back and bought a matching Samsung microwave and oven the next week.

For those of you looking to have Lowes install windows in your home please think twice about that! We had the West Jordan, Utah Lowes come and install windows in our home, 12 windows and a sliding glass door. Joey was the man who came and gave us the quote. On August 10th he came back and we scheduled the installation. When we ordered them in July we ordered 12 windows and the sliding glass door but when Joey came back to collect our money he only had 11 windows and a sliding glass door yet the price was still the same. We were very upset that he had misquoted us and then claimed that we chose not to have our garage window replaced. This was a lie because we never agreed to that. He told us he could add it if we wanted but it was going to cost us more. We told him we couldn't do that because we had only a certain amount saved which was what he initially quoted us.

How can Lowe's send me a letter thanking me for a recent visit and tell me that I was offered a "pre-approved credit account" - which is not true - when I used my debit card for the purchase?? A 30+ minute conversation with Lowe's Corporate office resulted in being shuffled from department to department with no one having or admitting to knowing how this happened. If they knew I was at the store, then this isn't some prescreened offer from information at a credit reporting agency - to me it seems my information was taken without my knowing it and used to generate the letter.

I purchased $18,000 of 3/8" bamboo flooring in cash from Lowe's, pre-paid 3 weeks in advance of installation. The estimator came 2 months ahead of the installation, and while he was a nice man, it seemed he might have suffered from slight dementia because he kept asking me the same questions repeatedly. I went to my Local Lowe's to buy appliance and asked the sales person for it which cost around 700 dollars. Sales person basically said it is not in stock and why don't just go somewhere and not bother me. Took less than 3 minutes of interaction. I am not sure how Lowe's can make money with this attitude. Wanted to order several thousands of dollars in blinds for a new home construction project. After seven visits to the Lowe's store and a lot of misinformation and erroneous quotes, I finally was given a final quote. In early May I believe it was May 5, 2015 the 7.1 cu ft Idylis chest freezer was delivered to my home. I bought this freezer to store breast milk. Initially the product worked great and kept the milk very frozen to the point it hurt your hands if you had to arrange the milk. However on October 27, 2015 the freezer light was on as if it was working but the milk was all thawed out or partially thawed out. I turned the temp as cold as it would go and it still was not freezing. I am so glad I caught it and didn't have to throw away hours of pumping liquid gold but it doesn't change the fact the Idylis chest freezer is a horrible product. Don't buy it whatever you do!

As repeatedly posted, my unit apparently has a bad control board. I know the store where I purchased the unit will not replace it. I know Maytag will not stand behind the product despite to poor downtrodden Maytag repairman who is still unemployed. I'm going to go to Lowe's in Torrington where I bought the unit and get on the loud speaker in the appliance unit and tell everyone how great Lowe's and Maytag are. This would be the second time I have done this. The control board is likely made in China where all things inferior come from.. The emerald ash borer among them. If the control board had been made in the USA it is likely some kind soul would offer to replace it after all Maytag used to have a stalwart reputation.. Not so much anymore.

Lowe's is not loyal to its loyal customers; at least that is my experience. I am stuck with an ugly porch floor composed of flooring manufactured by Aeratis and sold by Lowe's. I received an inferior looking product to the one I ordered. In addition, more than one third of the boards received were either damaged or defective. One year later have problem with drive, so I brought mower for repair. Was told I had to authorize non-warranty work up to $100! I asked directly that if it was not covered to call me, she said, "Sure." When I returned to pick up they wanted $78 to slip belt back on and didn't even change it!!! Next lie came. If the website would allow me to give Lowes and their service provider 0 stars, I would. Washer broken for a week and won't get fixed (maybe) until next week. Very poor communication with me as to status or part order and scheduling follow-up to install it. It took many complaint calls to find out what was going on. I paid top dollar for an extra Lowes warranty and haven't gotten my money's worth (and still may not). I should have purchased the machine from a local small business that would stand behind their product and service them in a reasonable time frame. The experience with Lowe's has been very confusing. There are some employees that have been great with us, giving service and what we need in time. But since those people don't make the entire store, it is quite disappointing that I have to give such a bad review. We purchased a Kitchen remodeling in May of 2015 to be started 4 to 5 weeks after purchase. We paid for the cabinets and for the countertops and install (just not the rehooking of the plumbing). How their process works is very inefficient because it is someone different for every single thing and they cannot start the next phase until the other person has finished theirs. We got cabinets in about 2 months after purchase date.

I am a 67 yr old widow. A small woman and have no knowledge or ability to remove appliances or to install them. I went to Lowe's looking for a dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer. I asked the salesman if Lowe's would deliver the new appliances, removed and haul away the old ones and install the new ones. He assured me they would. Based on this I wrote a check and paid for the 3 appliances.

We purchased high quality fencing material and installation from Lowe's in Anderson, SC. It was the worst decision we ever made. The install was to take 3 days... that was Memorial Day and today is October 21st. For 4 months we have been trying to get someone out to install the fence correctly, finish the install, ANYTHING at this point and all we get is "we are working on a resolution". After 4 months the resolution is simple... give us our $5300.00 back, come get the horrible fence and we will never do business again. Believe me, it won't take much to pull up the fencing since the post were not installed correctly and anytime a storm comes, you can see it blowing in the wind. We have gotten nothing from Lowe's in way of a resolution and the only response we get is an email immediately when I post something on Twitter.

Called and talked to the assistant manager because I needed a new spark plug for a weed eater I bought there a couple of years ago. I was amazed to find out that they do not carry regular maintenance parts for items they sell such as a vacuum bag for a vacuum cleaner. They sell for an air filter or spark plug for their mowers and weed eaters. I find that unacceptable. Who then am I suppose to purchase this from... their competitor who sells both? Bad move Lowe's!

I did not shop at this store, but placed a large order online for 12 light fixtures for decorative track lighting. The price was fair and the shipping was promised to be timely - this was important for my time-sensitive renovation. However, not only did the order arrive late, but it was 12 of the wrong light fixtures. The most disappointing part was the customer service as they were extremely unhelpful, and did not return my phone calls or emails for several days at a time. Rather than issue me a shipping label to ship it back and get the correct items to me ASAP, they insisted I bring my shipment into a Lowes store and deal with the problem there. They gave me no guarantee that the correct items would be available to order in the store, and when I pressed them, they said they would call me back tomorrow, and now one week later they still have not called. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE from Lowes - terrible customer service!

That was 3 weeks ago...never did hear back from him. I've been to my local Lowes where the Appliances manager tired to get in touch with the repair man with no success. After weeks like this, the appliances manager told me that if I hadn't gotten help by today, they would just issue a gift card for my purchase price and I could buy a new one of my choice. When I called the number he gave me to get the gift card, they refused. While they acknowledged on a recorded line that I'd been promised the gift card, they claimed that I should not have been promised that and they would not help me other than to say that Whirlpool would have to fix it. Later in the day I called lowes corporate number and the representative was even more aggressively clear that they had no intention of repairing, replacing or refunding my money. She even suggested that I buy another one with my own money if I wanted the defective stove replaced! Can you believe that?

Bought a MayTag Fridge from Lowes 4 years ago with the extended 4 year warranty. Everything was good and working till the last couple months of the warranty left. The Fridges water and ice started to taste like metal. I changed the filter twice and yes flushed it 3 to 5 gallons. Still the same. Called the warranty service they sent out a tech, he looked at the ice tray and the water line that connects to the filter, he tasted the water right after the filter line and at the top dispensing. Tasted same, LIKE METAL. He said i don't know what it is I will tell Lowes. I waited a week for a call then called myself. They said there is nothing they can do. They said It must be the city doing something to the water. NO its not I called the city.So much for paying extra for warranty. Lowes disappointed me, they did not stand behind their warranty. I am not a happy customer. If I cant fix the problem I will by another fridge NOT FROM LOWES.

Worst online inventory system. Placed an order with Lowe's gift card, webpage shows they have in stock in the store, placed the order, 20-min later store employee called and told me it's not in stock and have to cancel order. The funds deducted from the gift card will not be credit back until 2 weeks (or longer) later.....

Feb 8th I order two touch lamps. Feb 10th email arrives saying they have shipped. Feb 11th the charge shows up on my bank account. March 2nd I follow up by email, as nothing has arrived. March 4th I am told they are on backorder until March 18th. March 30th I follow up once again, and March 31st I get a message that it's being "escalated" and I'll hear from someone in the next couple of days. They've had full payment for nearly two months, and never followed up with me, I always have to chase them. This is horrific. Never again. Wish I had checked sites like this before ordering.

I have had two terrible experiences with Lowe's, both related to the order of my kitchen cabinets. I made repeated telephone calls to them trying to find out why my online order of cabinets took approximately one month to deliver (when it was represented that it would take 7-10 business days), and the repeated telephone calls from employees who couldn't provide explanations and had the wrong delivery dates, coupled with a failure to remedy or compensate me for the problems they caused, let's just say that I'm extremely frustrated and will never order from them again. While their products are nice, their transport and delivery system is an utter and complete joke. They will not be in business very long.

Don't buy anything you can't carry from the store. Lowe's is poor on follow up when it fails to deliver. Ordered GE microwave online Jan. 14 -- including Lowe's truck delivery to my home estimated by Jan. 28 (the promised two weeks is a long wait in any event). It didn't show, and I heard nothing I asked Lowe's customer service Jan. 30 for order status and was told I'd get delivery Feb. 7th via something called "Last Mile," with phone call on previous day. I did get the call Friday evening, Feb. 6, saying order would be delivered to my home between 930am and 1130am Saturday. They never showed, though, and no more calls. I telephoned service number Saturday night and the woman who answered rudely blew me off, saying they were "out of stock" and referring me to call Lowe's and saying "We're just a delivery service," and hung up. I have no clue on the next step.

Not sure were they find all the lazy employees.(lumber section ) A trip to lowes to buy lumber is worse than getting teeth pulled. Definatley lack of quality(#2 lumber) at prime prices. The amount of time trying to get it out of the store with employees that run and hide. There Low prices come from lower quality products. Pay attention to quality and how often they change to lower quality tool and products.

I purchased a Samsung too loading washer at lowes a last year with the two year extended warranty through lowes. 13 months in the washer stopped working. This was 6 weeks ago, 4 technician visits, one week of missed work, hours upon hours on the phone with lowes and three different techs later and I am still without a working washer and all lowes can tell me is I have to keep waiting for a repair because I don't qualify for a replacement!!!! Today they installed yet another part and the tech said oh quests we will try the control board next and that will take another 10 business days to come in. I have NEVER had such bad service in my life! To pay almost $1000 for a washer and another extra $200 or whatever it was for the extended warranty and to be left without a washer for now six weeks going on right plus is ridiculous! I'm about to lose my job to keep having. To take time off to be at home for these techs to keep coming! I will never spend another cent in lowes and suggest you shop elsewhere!!!!

Was interested to purchase 3 Pella storm doors. Called Lowes.com customer service to find out about RH/LH swing and was told interchangeable. Rep then said he could take the order over the phone. Okay, let him do that and while we were still talking I rec'd confirmation email. Noticed he had my wrong phone # and he told me couldn't be changed but he'd put a comment in the Order Notes. A couple weeks later after not receiving any further communication I spent an hour tracking down my doors. Their website & the email order confirmation each indicate I'd receive an email when the doors were ready to pick up but that didn't happen. Customer Service couldn't explain why. That's time I won't get back! Interesting when I got to the store the Order Notes alternately stated that they couldn't leave a voice message (on the wrong phone #) but that the customer (me) was notified. I order a lot of stuff online and most GOOD companies send you updates to your order status such as when it ships but Lowe's couldn't even send the email that my $1000 worth of storm doors had arrived. I had to laugh at the comment on their website that they want customers to pick up their items within 4 days. Good thing I called today (3rd day) otherwise what - would they have sent my doors back?!?!?! NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

After ordering a rather expensive French door refrigerator from Lowes of York, PA, we anxiously awaited the delivery which was to take a week. Two days after ordering we received a call stating that frig arrived at store and they would call the morning of delivery to schedule a delivery window for Saturday. Get another call Friday confirming that they would call Saturday set up delivery window. Finally on delivery day we get a call stating that "frig is damaged so bad it probably will affect it's performance, do I still want it?" Unbelievable, no one during the whole week it sat there thought to look at it. This is a very poor way to treat customers although I'm sure they really don't care anyway. Oh well, that's our last purchase at Lowes

I need to add in 9/9/2014 they came and replaced the icemaker but after less than 25 days it stopped working and my problem has not been solved and I called them again and they do not accept to change this faulty fridge for me and come again and again for repair.

I went to the Lowe's store after seeing the commercial on television saying free carpet installation. What a joke, when I got there they said it was only on one type of carpet so I said ok. Continued to look and found one, perfect match for the color I needed. Very excited, I asked the salesman how much installation would be and he said they had a special for $97. I said great since my room is very small, I premeasured, 10x11. I had him ring me up and then was told I must have someone come out to measure. I told him I measured and he said it was their policy that their person must come out to measure and it would cost $41 that can be applied to the total. So once again I agreed. I didn't get a call until 2 days after to set an appointment for someone to measure. They couldn't give me the day I wanted so I agreed to their day and changed my plans. My appointment was set for Friday from 5-7 pm. I came home early from work and sat until 7:15 - no call or anything. I finally called the store and was told everyone in the department had left for the day. About 15 minutes later a gentleman called and said he was sorry but couldn't make it. I set another appointment for the next day at 7 am. He did arrive on time and when he was done told me a different size than what I had previously measured. Of course his measurements were larger, when I mentioned this he remeasured and said okay. I forgot to mention that I was told that I also had to buy padding with this carpet, even if I said my padding was still good. Once again I agreed thinking that it was such a small room it wouldn't cost me much. A few days later I called the store to see if they received the measurements and was told no. Finally someone called and said that installation would cost me almost $500. I asked if this included the cost of the carpet and was told no, that would be additional. When I said I was told $97, the salesman said that since my job was considered a small job and they needed to make money that they had an additional fee. I asked to speak to the manager and was told by the salesman that he would talk to him. When I asked him for the manager's name he told me he didn't know it, so I asked for the assistant manager's name, he only knew his first name. I had to call the store back and whoever I spoke to gave me the wrong last name of the assistant manager and also didn't know the manager's name. What's up with that? I didn't hear back and when I finally got in touch the salesman, he said his assistant manager said it was in the small print about the additional fee. I told him no where on the sales form he gave me does it say that. When I once again asked to speak to the manager, I heard him say to someone this is the lady I told you about ... When he came back on line he said no they were sticking to the high cost. I told him I wanted my money back and was told no, finally the assistant told him to refund my money. All along I'm asking to talk to the manager and no one would let me talk to him and you would think the assistant manager would also want to talk to me as proper custoer service. Nothing doing - by this time I was thinking he was quite cowardly. After hanging up, I went online and wrote a complaint to the corporate office. I received an email that someone would contact me within 24 hours and I would receive a coupon in the mail (till this day, haven't received it, not like I ever want to buy something from this store again. But you would think the corporate office wouldn't fib!) Anyway, I finally got to talk to the assistant manager. He told me the salesman never explained to him my situation and that if he did it could have been worked out. I told him by then I had already contacted another company to do my carpeting and also do my wood flooring. He was understanding but not very apologetic for their poor customer service. I was also told that I needed to come back to the store to get my refund. I said ok even if it was out of my way. When I got to the store, I thought the assistant manager would at least have the decency to come out, nothing doing the girl had to call him in the office and she was told to take care of it. Now, I am finally thoroughly disgusted with the lack of professionalism and cowardice this man is displaying. I say nothing, thank the girl who helped me and call the manager the next day to explain how it would have been nice to get some customer service from his assistant, etc. However, speaking to the manager he told me he had no idea what I was talking about, he couldn't explain why no one knew his name and on top of that he tod me he would talk to his assistant when he came in that day -- I had to inform him that his assistant was off for the next two days, he told me to wait so he could check the schedule. When he came back on the line he said yeah ... Not one apology or anything. I cannot understand how such a large company that relies on customer service to build its business can have such untrained personnel. I have vowed not to buy another thing from lLowes, ever again. Once I started telling my story to others, they also had their own similar stories about Lowes.

A week or so ago I was in our local Lowe's in Lenoir, NC. I purchased some items for plumbing, several of the same in size and price. There were no sku's, the cashier replied gruffly "YOU HAVE TO GO GET ME A SKU". I am sorry but I do not get paid to do anyone's job. I replied call the department and get it. She did but described the wrong item, ask for pvc, it was cpvc, which I showed her. Her attitude became more inflamed. I informed her there were no more I wanted them all. I walked back to the department got the empty box brought it to her and she still complained. The man in the plumbing dept. came up and told her that it was cpvc, not pvc. They have different prices. (Just as I told her). Finally I had to request a manager. It was all totally uncalled for. To top it all off she denied it all. Luckily I had someone with me.So it has come to customers doing everything, purchasing, price checking as well as paying, If that's the case you no longer need employee's. Pricy

I've spent the past month, extremely frustrated, looking for a new refrigerator that would fit into the odd-size space I'd have to stick it in.  Naturally, each time I found the perfect fit I'd go on to learn that there'd be at least a month-long wait for delivery, or they wouldn't bring it up the 3 flights of stairs to my apt., or if they would, they'd leave it in the box, say "thank you, drop dead, goodbye" and leave me with having to figure out the rocket science behind hooking up the waterline for the ice maker. Then I found Lowe's.  The perfect fridge, the perfect fit and a terribly reasonable price.  I wasn't really sure that I wasn't in a dream state when they phoned me the day after I placed the order and said that they could be here inside of 30 minutes with my new fridge!  Not only did they haul it up the three flights of stairs (at no cost whatsoever), they happily hauled away my old, useless fridge that magically turns all dairy-based products green overnight. In the heat of a hot summer day, the two delivery men were cheerful, friendly and far more helpful then I was expecting.I really don't know why I had always turned a blind eye to Lowe's, but I'm now a big fan.

This place is terrible,as a contractor I'm forced to come here regularly ,the shelves are bare, the staff have no clue and when I told them I think some one is stealing blades from a pack they said it happens. What's  with the separate counter at the tool area, you can't leave unless you purchase your tool there ,even if you have more items to buy else where in the store, genius. On the bright side I am using there wifi to write this as I wait for them to stock the shelves. I hope they build a Home Depot in the city soon.

I felt it was my duty to write this review to y'all #Yelpers! If you were like me and thought that Lowe's in Bayview was your only option for your small home improvement project for your overpriced apartment in San Francisco, let me tell you another option that is in the city so you can skip an unnecessary Uber/Lyft trip. I wanted to get a simple, wood shelf cut to a specific size and thought Lowe's was my only option (after doing some research and inquiries within the city) I wasted money on Uber Pool just to find out Lowe's saw was not working and the employees there just looked at me and did not give me other options except - "sorry"Then I found out there is an awesome home improvement store in central San Francisco called Discount Builders!! (Van Ness/Market) {www.discountbuilderssupplysf.com} Go visit them for your projects. Everyone was very willing to help me and gave me advice on my shelving project :D They shall have my business for as long as I live in SF!!! Thank you Discount Builders!!

This store is a disappointment. They have a decent selection of items, but they haven't trained their employees on where to locate items and what items are needed for basic repairs.Went to garden area with simple question....four employees in area, but no one knew any specifics about gardenkng. They call for help...and tell me to wait......and wait...I waited 30 min for the associated they claimed would be able to help....the person never responded. But the other employees stand around talking about..They know he's here and not on lunch. Seems like each dept. I went to had one of two problems. 1 no knowledge of area working OR 2. Don't carry the items...suggest looking on line. For this reason....I have to recommend Home Depot...contractor location in Daly city. The staff their stores with industry professionals. It makes a difference. Either hire professional or provide the employees better training, do they can help their customers.

First off no one there has a clue regarding any type of questions regarding plumbing, electrical, or where they can locate anything in that shop. Complete shame.       And don't try to return anything, it's like spending a day at the dmv. They have the worst costumer service. I asked for help in the plumbing department and it took them about 45min to help me, worse part of it all they weren't even busy.

The husband and I just moved back to SF a week ago. We came by this Lowe's to pick up furnishings for our apartment.  The employees who work here demonstrated how horrible the retail industry has become. Why? 1) When asking a staff member where shelving hooks were, they told me to check out 2 different aisles as "it should be somewhere around there."  Seriously?!? Did they not realize how many hooks, nails, bolts, hangers there were in all of these aisles?  2) While I was walking up and down these 2 aisles, I found a couple of employees who were chatting and sharing their Hot Tamales candy with each other. I asked if they could help me find these shelving plugs, and their response was that they didn't know because it was not their department. 3) My husband then asked an employee where hooks to hold pictures were (including pictures of what he was referencing), and the salesperson had no idea what he was talking about. We ended up finding some stuff that we needed on our own, as well as just ordering directly from Amazon. I do NOT see us heading back here in the near future, or ever.

If you need help and need to be babied, nothing will be good enough for you.  Go after hours when it's not busy.  Go in prepared with proper questions.  It isn't that hard of you're patient.

I came to the nursery a few weeks ago and had to ASK ask an employee talking to another employee if he might be free to help me.  He reluctantly told me yes while all the body language said no.  (I stood there waiting for a while to make sure they weren't talking about work.)I asked him what kind of dirt I should buy for my indoor pots, he said I had to choose.  He then sold me the wrong kind (for cacti, not what I have and he knew what I had because I was buying it from the nursery right then and there.).  I believe it was because the proper dirt wasn't out and he couldn't bother.  He didn't know what he was doing. Then I came back to return and got nice help from an older gentleman. However, he sold me outside dirt and I had to give it away.I have another picture of THREE employees talking to each other is a cluster rather than watching to see who they could help

Well i've always been a fan of Lowe's!! I went in today to find a vent for our heater. I asked a guy just standing in a isle where I can find vent filters  and he say's 5!! Really, I thought maybe he is mad at me because I'm different? So rude! I go to isle 5 and no sign??? I ask another associate,  he looks at me like I just farted and says its at the end of the isle to the right! Ok, I still can't find what I'm looking for and stand there for another 20 minutes. A nice man asked if I was ok, discovering I can't get the allergy vent in my size! He explained it's not available here, so I buy the lower version of it. Why are the employees so unhappy or rude? Maybe it's the management and not us! Remember we pay the bills!!! I will think again before I come here!

If you buy something online and have it shipped here, good luck finding out if you will ever get it. I ordered a dishwasher on the 4th of July. The online estimate for delivery to the store was the 22nd. It is the 6th of August and no one knows when it is going to be in. Talking with people from the store is less than helpful. They have no idea when it is coming. SORRY.Finally, someone calls and tells me to set up a delivery appointment. When I can back to do it, the phone either rings for over 8 minutes with no one answering, someone transfers me and then I get disconnected after another 3 minutes of ringing or I FINALLY get someone and they tell me that they can't figure out when it is coming in (despite someone FROM their store calling me the day before and telling me it is scheduled to come in on the 14th), so they pull attitude on the phone. Please, just schedule the damn appointment like the person who called me previously told me to do. Plus, they don't tell you what time on that day they are going to deliver it. They deliver it whenever the hell they want during that day and you better be there to receive it.

I've been to this Lowes location about 6 times and everytime I come here I seem to to deal with the same problems. I come here a lot for returns through my job and they always seem to hassle me or give me attitude at customer service, I understand that that I may not always have the receipts; but if I'm just looking for store credit or an exchange it shouldn't be an issue. Even though they need to adjust their customer service, this store still does have many positive aspects, it's large in size, has private parking with security, and honors price matches.

If I could give this Lowe's zero stars, I would do so.  Unfortunately, this is the only home improvement store in SF.  Today, my fiance and I went to Lowe's and consistently received HORRIBLE "customer service."  We started off looking in the garden department for replacement parts for our garden's watering system.  When we asked the clerk at the register in the garden center if they carried garden watering systems and/or parts, he responded he did not know, but was pretty sure they carried them.  He asked if we had looked through the garden center.  We responded that we had and did not see anything.  He directed us to look at the "seasonal section" next to the grills.  Ultimately, after wandering around and asking two other clerks in that area, we were directed to the plumbing section.  Bingo!  We finally were directed to the correct location where we did, in fact, find the parts we needed.  We then wanted to check out the Franke kitchen sinks that were advertised as being on sale in Lowe's weekly ad.  When we went to the isle where the kitchen sink displays were located, we found the "Customer Service Manager" Jeff in the center isle chatting up two other associates.  Jeff was clearly irritated that we were in need of "customer service" and disrupting their personal conversation.  We asked Jeff if Lowe's carried the Franke sink in the apron (farmhouse) style.  He responded that he had never heard of Franke sinks.  We pointed to the Franke sinks displayed in the isle next to him and he responded, "oh," and then stated "the displays are the only ones we carry."  We then inquired if it was possible to custom  order other models and asked if they had a Franke catalog.  Jeff responded that we could make a custom order and should just go and check on line.  We again asked if he had a  Franke catalog in the store that we could look at.  Jeff then begrudgingly pointed toward the center of the store and mumbled to "look over there, there are some catalogs "over there."  When we asked if he could show us, he acted very put out but walked us over to where there was a large table of catalogs.  Jeff repeated that he was not familiar with that brand and walked away.  After my fiance and I looked through the stack of catalogs and could not locate a catalog for sinks or the Franke brand, we gave up and decided to look for the next item on our list.  We walked back to the lighting and, once again, found Jeff standing chatting up the two same workers.  We asked for assistance with the recessed canned lights that were on the end of the isle and were again told that they didn't know anything about the lights, but one of the clerks did to and find a clerk that could help us.  Jeff had returned to chatting with one of the two clerks and the other female clerk was now having a personal conversation on her cell phone speaking in Chinese.  We then went to the kitchen cabinet section to look for custom cabinet organization systems.  We were told by a clerk in the cabinet department that she was not able to help us and that we would need to speak with the other clerk who was helping another couple design their kitchen cabinets.  So, we walked around and located some books published by different cabinet makers to see if they had organizational systems in them.  The entire time we were wandering around the cabinet department with no assistance, the female clerk still on her  personal call speaking Chinese.  I pulled out my phone and took a photo of her and she walked away and Jeff fled the scene.  Last, we went to look for replacement clips for our cellular blinds.  When we asked the male clerk in the blinds department if they carried the clips, he responded that he did not know anything about the part we were asking about.  When we showed him a photo of one, he responded that he did not know if Lowe's carried them.  We then saw a female clerk by the blinds and she knew the part we were looking for and showed us w/here they should be located; however, the parts in the bins were all in disarray and she was not able to find the part.  After she gave up and walked away, we dug through the bins and eventually found the part we needed.  I have to say, that this store has the ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered.  The clerks are clearly not properly trained and/or educated about the departments in which they work.  I would rather make the drive down to Home Depot in South SF  where the clerks are at least trained about the products in the department in which they work and they provide much better customer service.  Needles to say, I will not shop in ANY Lowe's store EVER again.  I will take my business elsewhere.

I like that this lowes is not far from my house, they have parking, they are usually open, and they have a lot of stuff. However, checking out takes forever.  It's hard to find stuff.   It's a bit pricey.   They are missing a lot of things you would think they would have.   Also the saw is pretty much always out of order.

I thought I might spend something over $20,000 on kitchen cabinets through Lowe's but I'll need to take my business somewhere I can actually make an appointment.  I called during business hours four times today and was hung up on four times.  The first time I was hung up on by the cabinets department.  The second and third by the main number operator.  And, the fourth, by the cabinets department again. And no, it's no fault of mine, which I know because I never got past, "I'd like to speak with someone about kitchen cabinets" before getting hung up on. This is the worst store of any kind in the entirety of San Francisco.  Thankfully, Floorcraft is across the street but I'm still going to write a letter to Lowe's corporate.

This is for a worker in the appliance area, regret not getting her name.  She was swamped with people asking questions and ringing up someone.  She came up to my family and I and ask if we needed help.  She was very knowledgable about the appliances.  She was quick, patient, and friendly.  Great service!  Then I went to look for some magnets.  I asked one of the employees. Not very friendly and spoke with a gruffness when giving directions.  I would give her a one star!  But this review was for the fridge experience.

I guess it's a Man's World!  I am a widow who lost my hubby a year and a half ago. And it's true, it's a Man's World!Purchased two AC (total came to $1,000+) units paid for shipping, was told delivery will be between 3 & 6 pm. 6:30 pm no one has yet to show up or called me so I called Lowe's. They're running late. Came at 7:30 pm. Asked them why no one called. Cell phone battery dead. Huh? Two of them and both cell phone battery dead! Next went in for a microwave hood model. Was told delivery on Thursday however I couldn't make it and would like delivery on Saturday in the morning. And was told they will call me.  No one called AGAIN. I called the department at 9:30 am and was told that my item is on the truck for delivery between 3-6 pm. NO!  I not going be home at that time and I should have been on the schedule for the AM delivery. The guy said he's sorry but they can schedule it for Sunday. Great, called the Electrician to come over at 8:30 am. Same time I was promised for delivery. Sunday 9:45 am. No delivery. No call. 10:09 am same. . . . So I finally called, was told the truck is loaded HOWEVER NO DRIVER!!!  Now what?  Boy, I was so upset I told them I'll come by and pick it up myself. Today, Monday arrived at Lowe's at 2:35 pm, finally got someone at Customer Service to help me, poor girl all alone with six customers waiting in line. A guy in a Domino's shirt who came after me talked to Steve Hoffman the manager he had the same problem and also lived in the same area as I. I heard his conversation and I guess since he's a guy he got a discount for his inconvenience. Hey!  What about me?  I waited almost an hour to get my microwave!  Oh I forgot, I'm not a guy!  Just a little old widow so no big deal!Lowe's play fair and treat everyone equally!  And get better people to work in the delivery department!!!

Purchased a new dryer last week to replace the one we purchase from them 5 years ago which constantly needs repairs (I know - not their fault).Spoke to delivery on Sunday and told them I would not be home until 3 and requested they put me last on the delivery schedule (I literally live two blocks from the store so I would not think this would be hard).  They show up at 1 when I'm not home.I call them at 3pm and after 20 minutes of trying to speak to someone I'm told they will deliver on Tuesday and will call me with the time.  I asked them to call me on my cel from now on regarding delivery.  Next day.  They call my home phone to leave a message that they are coming in 10 minutes - I'm at work of course because they never called to tell me the delivery window the day before as the said they would.  Assistant manager calls and leaves a message that since I have not been home to receive the dryer they will try again in two weeks.I call him back, explain the situation with his delivery department and he assures me that it be delivered on Friday at a specific time and that they have my cel number and will only use that from this point forward.Get a message on Thursday on my home phone giving me the delivery window for Friday.  Get a call on my home phone Friday morning telling me their truck broke down and they are not coming.REALLY!!!

Terrible customer service today, 11/09/2015. I spoke with 3 different employees to get an item that I found myself. Yes, on my own and no thanks to their help. Funnels. Stinkin' funnels. Funnels to use when I pour chemicals into spray bottles.Darn funnels had me walking multiple times from one end of the store to the other. The first time was when I attempted to look for the item on my own. I searched high and low in tool world, cleaning chemicals, and paint departments. This is what I tend to do when I need to find something at a store, rely independent on myself and don't bother anyone. When I can't find it myself, I then ask for assistance. The first employee said he was 2 days new to the store. He kindly walked me over to tool world where he assumed the funnels would be. Ellen, the second person I spoke to, said it was moved to Garden. I walk to Garden and searched diligently through the isles. No funnels. I walked back across the store to Ellen who says that everything is being moved around to accommodate space for the Christmas merchandise. What am I supposed to do with that information? I'm being bounced back and forth from wall to wall. I ask for more details, if she knows where exactly in Garden is it located. She then tells me she'll call Garden to inform them of me because she unfortunately can't leave her section. I walk away frustrated because I'm being given the run-around.Being back at Garden a second time, I decided to search the in-store part near the Christmas decor. There was an employee fidgeting with a staircase ladder, a middle-aged woman with light-brown hair. She's the third person that I spoke to. She tells me it's either by the so-and-so oil can ma-bobber or the something-something gasket. How am I supposed to know what those items look like if I've never heard about them ever in my life? She didn't give me isle numbers. I figured I'm in the right department ether way, and weaved the isles...Voila! After almost an hour, I found the darn funnels myself. It's a happy ending I may say since I left with what I was looking for: long cuff nitrile gloves, disposable nitrile gloves, respirators, and last but not least... That f-word.

This Lowes is kinda meh. I was looking for something in particular and when I finally found help she gave me an aisle number nowhere near the category I was looking for. The garden center is sad. Small and limited selections in herbs and flowers. I only came here because I had a promotional 10% off coupon. I got basil, rosemary and a gardenia. Most plants look sad and are on the discounted rack but they'll end up dead soon so why buy them? Also small seed selections.

Right after we returned home from our trip to Los Angeles, we restarted our home improvement projects.  Uh, it appears that these projects are never-ending because we suffer from "scope creep".  Just when we were feeling satisfied with the work that has been done to our home, we looked at our kitchen and decided to "spruce it up".  Our appliances are still working but, we "convinced ourselves" that they look a bit dated and are probably not as energy efficient as current models. Believe it or not, I actually DO cook and use my kitchen although most of my check-ins may not show it... We had the measurements for a replacement stove, overhead microwave oven, side by side refrigerator and dishwasher.  Also, we had previously researched consumer reports for reliable brand(s) and models in preparation for our purchases. Unlike previous visits, we were almost immediately greeted and acknowledged by sales representative, Kaimi, even though he was working with two other parties. When our turn came up, we provided the model numbers of what we wanted and showed him the floor model.  He confirmed availability and the sales prices for each appliance right away. Kaimi brought us back to his desktop station where he began to schedule delivery, installation and removal of our current appliances. He then offered warranties and described the warranty/purchase program called "My Lowe's". We were pleased with Kaimi's attention to detail, thoroughness, patience and communication skills.  After about 15 minutes, we concluded our sale at the register and felt invigorated with the service that we received.  So, now, all we have to do is wait for our installation appointments and we'll start the New Year with a fresh new start!

Omg never again buying major appliance with extended protection plan from here we bought a washer 2 years ago a Samsung it took someone almost a week to come out just to see what parts we needed now waiting almost another week for lowes to get back to the repair man to see if they will OK the repair to order the parts btw estimated cost will be way over what I paid for my washer so how hard is it to say they will repair  or replace my washer,  then we have to wait what another week for the parts and who knows how much longer for the repair man to come out to fix it  we thought we bought a new washer which shouldn't have any problems for at least 5 Years but this is less then 2 years old and when ever I call they always say their waiting on so and so or call the repair man who rarely answers his phone and not to mention does not call back. Very disappointed!

We unexpectedly have to do a bathroom remodel after a near catastrophe.... We went to the Lowe's and Home Depot by Iwilei... Being that we're from mililani, I told my husband that i wanted to shop at our home store.... The young lady that works over by the bathroom area made us feel like we were bothering her by ringing the bell.... We couldn't find anyone earlier so my husband climbed up on a chair to get the stuff that we needed.... It made me nervous... The faucet that we wanted was placed waaaay above on the high shelves and he went to get the stairway on wheels to reach it! Again no one was around.... I found the bell and rang it cause there was no way in hell I was gonna let him do that!!! Finally 2 employees show up after ringing the customer service bell :(So I needed to visit the ladies room and it's dirty.... Paper all over the ground!

I just had a really great experience at Lowes!  I've been here many times but this time seemed to stand out by far.My toilet was running and the handle would get stuck.  With zero knowledge of my problem and a few pictures of the interior of my toilet tank, I headed to Lowes.  I stood in the plumbing aisle then starring at all of the parts.I stopped the first man I could find and he didn't know either but he said he would call someone.  I've been in this position before where you wait and wait and no one ever comes.  Well, I heard someone yell down the aisle "be right there"... not sure if that was for me or not.  Then minutes later an employee came over to help me.  I showed him my pictures and told him my problem.  He diagnosed it to either the valve or the handle.  So he gave me the two parts, told me, in general, and off I went.I needed car wash soap as well so I figured I'd see if they sold any here so I didn't need to make a second stop at another store.  I stopped a younger guy, who rolled his cart to the side and told me he would show me where it is and that the selection was quite small.  He led me there and made nice conversational small talk along the way.I was ready to pay and a cashier was standing outside of her booth looking for someone to help.  She greeted me, quickly cashed me out and said to have a great rest of my day.I can't say enough about the service i received at Lowes today!  And I think my toilet stopped running!  WOO HOO!

Okay, I guess I'm not the only one who's complaining about their customer service.  I had gone there to just look around, granted I spent money that I didn't have to. However, the OLD female worker (I can't say lady cause she really didn't act like one) was rude. If she didn't like working there then quit and be outside in this humidity. She even the my receipt at me. Never ever going back to a place that does not know how to be nice to their customers.

I don't like to give bad reviews but in my situation I feel as though I have to for the benefit of other customers. I bought a total of 7 one gallon containers of Valspar interior paint.  They were all suppose to be the same color but they weren't. I went to the store and explained the situation but am having the same problem again.  I am now painting the same large wall for the third time with paint trying to get the paint on the wall to match what suppose to be the exact same color paint. Sorry Lowes this was a big fail for me and has wasted a lot of my time and money. I will not be back to buy paint here again.

Avoid.  Save yourself and take the extra 5 min and drive to Kapolei Home Depot. Staff and management poorly trained, rude and aggressive. They sent an out of control maniac to my home to do a estimate who physically threatened my girlfriend and quoted an install price close to three times the price advertised. Classic bait and switch tactics.  The estimator seemed to have a problem with a woman daring to question how he arrived at his estimate , since he didn't actually take a single measurement, and had to be told to back out of her face and leave our home.  He at one point claimed to own lowes, when challenged he then claimed he was just the manager, when challenged again he claimed he was the manager of installs( all lies). He then got very close to her face swinging his arms in a threatening manner and claimed that the very act of installing a French door was putting the lives of his workers at risk and wasn't going to do that for mere peanuts! As an veteran of the Iraq war, I can attest that the dangers of installing a French door are second only stepping on an IED!!My girl friend then called lowes to find out what was going on and the actual installs manager informed her that THIS WASN'T THE FIRST TIME A CUSTOMER HAD MADE A SIMILAR COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!  Read the bolded part again and let it sink in.... Lowes knew about his behavior and decided to put my family at risk any way. When I got home from work and found out what happened I drove immediately to lowes and demanded to speak to the manager. I got the assistant manager...who cut me off after 10 seconds to run and see if he could get the installers side of the story....He then decided the best approach in this matter was to usher us out of the store and have us send him an email!  He never apologized. He never offered to make anything right. He simply said that the installer was his friend and he really needed to get his side of the story, and he would review our email. How is this for an Email Kevin?

I'm tickled pink with this store's location....after all, it's all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.  Tucked across the street from Waikele Outlet Mall is Lowe's - how much more perfect can that be?  If your man is anything like mine, he probably detests shopping and the wait that comes along with it.  Instead of having your man wait for you while you shop - send them here to do their own shopping.  I'm sure he will find something....ANYTHING, that he might could possibly want or need.  It's like giving a kid free reign at a toy store - really it is.Lowe's has a great selection of EVERYTHING hardware you could possibly want.  Their prices are pretty comparable to the area hardware stores.  I've never had an issue to take up to customer service but there is a lot of help nearby if you can't find what you're looking for.

Sorry, but I had to write a second review.  This one is for my wife..so here is what I sent Lowe's customer service via the website.  "I've kind of written off Lowe's because of really bad customer service at my local store.  I mean really bad.  Below is a yelp review I did a few years ago to give you an idea this is not my first time dealing with this.  Well today my wife went to pick up paint and had an even worse experience.  During the middle of the business day (10:30 AM) only one cashier lane was operating.  Because of a problem with a sale at least 5 people were standing in one line for almost 10 minutes.  When an employee came by doing inventory, she was asked by one of the gentleman in line if they could help us out - the employee responded with "I'm not a cashier"...then said "if she needs help she'll call someone".  Well ok then!  Well as my wife stood in line she noticed the paint she ordered was not what she asked for (flat latex).  It was a paint which has a primer in it and won't work for the project we're doing.  So she left the line and notified the employee at the paint counter she had been given the wrong paint.   He challenged her telling her it was the cheapest of the kind and she needed the primer because it was easier.  After questioning her about what the project (to the point it was inappropriate) she deiced to take her business elsewhere as well.  I'm not sure what the issue is with this particular store, but its clearly something management is allowing to happen.  Its too bad because I live in Hawaii and our resources are limited, but my wife and I will pay more and drive further for our home project needs from now on.  Here is the link to some feedback I left on Yelp when I stopped going to the store - yelp.com/biz/lowes-waipa…

I bought a dishwasher online from this lowes. It was a special order which took some to get shipped to the store. It never said that online. It came in early and so the store called me. I told them that I wanted it installed by them. They told me that they would call me back with times but they were going to have to go to the home first and take measurements. I have bought many appliances from lowes and never had to have this part done before and on top of that they wanted to charge me for it. They told me that it was only this stores policy to do this and charge this fee. If this store is that desperate for 35 bucks than they need to shut this store down. I waited for them to call me back with the times and they never did. I get a call from lowes delivery on Sunday Aug 2 at 10am that they are at my house delivering my dishwasher. I never told lowes to deliver this dishwasher and never called me until they were at my home. I now have my dishwasher but don't have anyone to install they still have not contacted me about when they are going to install this dishwasher. I have already paid for it and still have no date. I have been out 400 bucks for three weeks and nothing has gotten done. The manager told me that this was this store policy which I find it hard to believe. If this is a policy it should be for all stores. The manager said it was because of the denographics of the homes around this location which is totally not true since the store that is 5 miles away does not have this policy. I also find this offensive and disheartening that corporate stores are still worried about the demographic of the population and not worrying about how to service the people of the area. I am warning you don't go to this Lowes if you want honest people to help you get their products. All they do is worry about demographics and how to take more money from their customers. The employees are rude and ungelpful. Lowes please shut this store down! I will not shop at this Lowes agian!

Went to find a part for my garden hose. Asked the associate in plumbing to help me but they desired to help a lady and her husband instead( I was the first one to ask and first in the isle) so I look around trying to find the item myself. I walked over to the door isle and asked for help in plumbing. That associate called for assistance. I waited 10 minutes then another associate walked up. He began to ask if I was the one needing help and I said yes right as another guy walked up and said he needed the help. I tried to explain to the associate that I asked for the call and the associate in doors can confirm it. He ignored me and helped the other guy out. I was about to leave then the door associate asked me if I still needed help. I told him what had happened and he told me I should complain and also pointed me in the direction of where the item in looking for might be. As I was walking across the store, I spotted a member of management and tried to make a complaint. The manager was on lunch and wouldn't even hear me out. She told me I should call the store instead. So with my patiences wearing thin, I walk to the isle the door associate told me to go, I still couldn't find the exact piece I needed and walked over to the associate standing next to the grills and asked for help. He said he would live to help me, and proceeded to fallow me. I get halfway down the isle and look back and he is in the grills again helping a guy buy a grill. That did it for me, so I left. I will never go to this store again, and I will turn everyone I know away from it. I know plumbers, electricians, carpenters, landscapers, and handy men. This store now will lose about 50 customers after I tell my associates of my experience.

Was forced to go to this location (approx. 16 miles away from home) since they had the blinds I needed in stock. Showed the associate my window measurements (mistake 1) and let associate determine the lengths each blind would need to be cut to (mistake 2). Left associate alone to cut the blinds while I went and got some other items (mistake 3). Drove all the way home only to find out both blinds were cut wrong (both blinds were almost 1" off). Never going back to this location again even if they are the only location that has what I need in stock. Would rather pay more money elsewhere and get it done right the first time.

I have used Lowe's numerous over the years to jobs ranging from flooring, garage doors, etc on a many of my renovation projects involving investment and rental properties. For the most part Lowe's has provided very good to exceptional work results. I was in need of a replacement roof on my vacation home located in Garrett County, Maryland. I happened to stop by the local Lowe's and noticed an ad for professional roofing services. The estimate was in line with other estimates so I signed a contract. The main reason I went with Lowe's was the assumption that they would do quality work. Normally if this project was closer to my home (around 200 miles away) then I would have hired roofers that I dealt with in the pass. Over the years I have had approximately 14-16 roofs replaced on various properties. Lowe's in Oakland, Maryland sub-contracted the work to DAT Contracting, LLC in Grantsville, Maryland. I had my doubts from day one when they showed up on the job site. Daniel Thomas called me on the first day to say he needed to add more roof sheathing to the front porch because he uses 1 1/4 inch roofing nails and they would show through. I asked him why he could not use 3/4 inch nails? Secondly, I told him it is never a sound roofing practice to put sheathing on top of old sheathing. He sounded a little confused as to how I would know this! Anyway, I had my doubts, normally my golden rule is to be on the job site while a contractor is present, unfortunately the distance from my main home was an issue. I've learned my lesson from this job and will never let this happen again. The contractor took 3 days to complete the work. a little longer than I had thought, but not unreasonable. I arrived at the work site about a week later to inspect the work. The moment I saw the work I was completely disgusted with the quality! Here is a partial list - - Improperly laid out shingles - Drip edge not properly installed - Nails showing through keyways on the shingles - Ridge vent not installed across entire roof ridge - Improperly installed flashing, contractor hand bent step flashing allowing shingles to stick up - Broken shingles - Celliphane from roof shingles hanging from eves I contacted Lowe's immediately and had them come on site. Chet Friend from the Oakland store contacted the contractor and both came out to discuss. I asked the contractor if he inspected the job prior to leaving the job site? He said he did! I asked him "AND YOU WALKED AWAY FROM THIS!" He didn't answer. I gave Lowe's a list of all the issues, some which can't be repaired (i.e misaligned) shingles and drip edge). They fixed some things, but I still have broken shingles, nails in keyways, improperly installed flashing, etc. I contacted Louie Stewart of the Oakland Maryland store, who told me he had inspected the repairs and they were "acceptable". At this point I am left with hiring another contractor to see if they can correct some of this mess. Every time I look at the roof I am total disappointed with the end result and extremely disappointed that Lowe's considers the job acceptable. Also at this time I am evaluating whether I will use Lowe's for future projects unless they can assure me that they are capable of doing quality work like their ad's claim.

I am a contractor so I go in here a good bit. This is the most unorganized place I have ever been in. As well as no one knows what is going on or how to do there job. Several times I have ordered items and was told it's not there after receiving a phone call that my order is ready . And when it comes to loading anything good luck having anyone help you while most the time there is a group of employees staring at you as you walk out the door. But where else are you gonna go that's cheaper.

Quite possibly the most disorganized and unhelpful retail store I've ever been in. Unfortunately, they are the closest option for some types of building supplies and therefore we have to deal with this place. This store is a cluster &*$@ time and time again. They rarely restock. They have no idea how to rent tools. There is more confusion around return policy than I've ever witnessed. Staff don't know where anything is, but they sure know how to take your cart and restock it before your done. Finding an employee is practically impossible, especially at the registers - typically one is open. Their professional install lead never gets back to you. And I could go on, and on. I highly suggest supporting your local hardware stores for anything you can rather than defaulting to this Lowes....which reaches a new LOW with every visit.

Our small property management business in Oakland Maryland has consistently received top notch assistance and recommendations from the Lowes staff. Offlake Rentals utilizes the Oakland Lowes as our 'warehouse' as they generally have all repair and maintenance items we need in stock and their hours of operations are solid. Art Holland of Lowes is our assigned representative and we cannot thank him enough for the years of guidance and service he has provided.

Great layout and friendly people. Under staff though especially when it comes to plumbing department. I had to come in 3 times to plumbing after I had a detail estimate done. I was looking to install a sink and garbage disposal. The 1st time the one employee tried as hard to help me but they couldn't find the person in plumbing. The 2nd time I came in the employee said it wasn't his department so he paged someone from plumbing after 10 mins of waiting I had to use the help button to page someone. Another employee came and finished up with a customer he brought with him. He then told me he didn't work in the department but would try to find someone. After 10 more minutes I just left. I'm writing this in the store as I wait the 3rd time for someone. Everyone is friendly and willing to help and love shopping here but Lowes only has one employee working in one department on a Saturday and no one else can help him assist.

Never buy any thing from this store. Especially, NEVER purchase any things trough on-line. They try to steal your money. Lately, I purchased major appliances. Without delivery, they just changed the status to "delivered". So, I called many times to resolve it but keep transferring each other then finally disconnected several times. So, I called to the Lowes headquarter then warned that I might file a fraud transaction.I am still waiting for my product. Anyhow, Lowes at Dale city, VA is horrible. Stay away.

It has turned into a family hangout of sorts, with our regular visits to the store. My overall experience has been positive and they have me as a repeat customer. The one bad time had to do with the Paint Department. It ended up that they were short staffed after one employee was a no show and they had to call the guy who had left to come back. I hope they paid him for that, but who knows the corporate policy on that.

While the associates may not have experience in their department, their departments are well stocked. I have had more luck finding items at Lowes then at Home Depot. They do not rent trailers, or anything else to move supplies as does home depot, but if you try to call home depot to rent a trailer or anything else to move supplies you'll find yourself pulling your hair out anyway. They do honor a 10% discount for military veterans and active duty, something that Home Depot will not do generally, this in itself makes me more likely to shop at Lowes first. Not to mention Lowes actually has the items I want in stock unlike Home Depot.

Horrible customer service - scheduled to get my washer/dryer delivery today. They called me yesterday and said it will be delivered today. The order was not delivered and when I called them, they said that they left me a voicemail about it getting delayed but I did not get it (I do have a voice mail confirming the order will be made today). The representative I talked with then checked and said the order will be delivered only by March and they can provide a loaner option until then. She said she was going to follow up and then call me back which she never did. When I reached them tonight, the store manager said she doesn't have any notes of the conversation I had with her employee and she didn't show any consideration or concern about the order which was not delivered. She said the system says the order will be now delivered on Saturday but it might or might not be on that day and she doesn't know more. It felt as if I was talking to an automated machine which knows only what it was programmed to say. I have never dealt with a store manager or seen a store manager dealing with a customer with such an attitude. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience today and I ended up canceling my order. I will never ever go to this store again.

We are extremely disappointed with Lowes warranty service. We have Bosch Dishwasher, purchased extended warranty and the machine is still under warranty but it looks like it is going to take about a month to get it fixed. Repair company blames Bosch for the parts. Bosch says they are not responsible, and we yet to hear from Lowes. Dishwasher is not working at the moment and we are very disappointed with the Lowes Customer Service. It is not fair we pay for it but we do not get the service promised. I just took a look at the Lowes Warranty papers and the 1st item says "FAST and reliable repairs provided by authorized technician" . It is very obvious on our case that the repair is not FAST. Lowes do not honor their warranty commitment. This is really very bad customer service.

This and the Home Depots in the area are so frustrating. I just called Lowes, Hybla Valley, and actually got through to someone. They put me through to the plumbing department. I'd like to update the post below. I did finally receive a call back from a store manager that was very apologetic and accommodating. He allowed me to pick a new delivery day and offered to remove an additional 10% from my cost back to my payment method once the cooktop is received. Will update once that occurs. I usually love Lowes, but this was a very bad exp. We bought a 36" cook top. The let us know the date it would be in the store (in aprx 4 weeks), it was a Wednesday (sep 16, 2015). Since some one had to sign for it, I asked if could be delivered AM on Saturday the 19th. They set it up and we were on our way. On the 16th I received a call, they let me know it came in and would be delivered tomorrow (was the delivery company). I told them, no I set it up for Saturday because it needs to be signed for. They said oh no problem we will deliver it then, you will get a call Friday night with a window of time. Friday no call, saturday no call. I call saturday afternoon. They told me they would have to call the delivery company because the ticket wasn't picked up which means it probably isn't to be delivered (all though they agree that it's supposed to be delivered that day). Manager Francis calls me back, lets me know he spoke to them and they will be calling me shortly...no call back. I call today Tuesday the 22nd, ask to speak to a manager...the woman says ok how can I help you, and I said oh are you a manager and she says no but what can I do...so I briefly explain and say it's beyond talking to some one in deliveries or appliances, I needed to speak to a store manager...been on hold 30 minutes and waiting... This all ready cost me a cancellation fee with the installer last Saturday and now have to find another time slot on his schedule. Very poor delivery situation and customer service thus far. -Matt

Not one to review things on google, but I'll be following this up with a note to corporate. A couple years ago, we purchased a set of new appliances for one of our homes. The customer service and delivery was a horrible experience. We vowed never to shop at this Lowes again, and have since always gone to Home Depot down the street. Now, we have a part-time babysitter who has also been working at this Lowes for several years. We've been appalled to hear the stories of how they treat their employees. Things became unbearable and our sitter decided to pass in a two weeks notice. The manager promptly told our sitter that that day was the last day of work - but also never quite fired our sitter, so the store didn't have to mess with any unemployment. Many of these employees live paycheck to paycheck and apparently this store has a history of pulling these moves on its people. Another good story was how they managed to find a technicality that prevented our sitter from being able to cash in unused vacation. As a military family, we know well and understand leadership and the importance of taking care of your people. Our sitter is hard-working and earned the right to professional treatment - not to mention aspiring to work in the public sector, in emergency services to support our community. I hope others will chime in and encourage Lowes Corporate to make some changes at this store. It is negatively affecting the people in our community.

I would give this store 0 stars if I could. The Customer Service at this location is a joke. I have shopped at Lowes for years and spent thousands upon thousand of dollars. I have always preferred them over Home Depot. That HAS changed! I bought a trimmer in fall of 2013, after the grass cutting season. I used for summer of 2014 and it began to bog down. The first time in 2015 that I tried to use it, it would not stay running. I followed all trouble shooting steps and checked all the basics. The Troy-Built trimmer had no power, would not stay running and was leaking oil everywhere. When I took to the authorized dealer for service, per the factory warranty, They told me most likely I would get my money back and be able to purchase a new product. They were to going to call on Monday and get a code from the Vendor. I followed up Monday and was told no one could help me. Followed up Tuesday and was told it was out for repair. Once the item returned they want to charge me $65 for an item that costs $81 brand new. They claim the service doesn't fall under warranty. Where I really have my problem is that the Assistant Manager, Mark Silva, told me they did call and the Vendor reported to send it off for service. This is contrary to what the RTM employee told me. She stated it was sent out and no one called. Someone is lying, and they couldn't provide me with any proof that anyone called. The product is garbage, and now I am stuck with either eating the cost or paying the $65. I will be following up with The Better Business Bureau, and filing a small claims court suit. I can't stand dishonesty and thievery. That is what I am experiencing in this case. Bottom line, DON'T shop at this LOWES and definitely don't do business with the Assistant Manager , Mark Silva. ZERO STARS! Home Depot it is!

I am a Cuban American, and this "camaro" guy really needs to get put in his place. How are you offended that there are signs in spanish? They are appealing to their demographics. Id love to hear why that offends you, and also find humor in the irony that you are the one being extremely offensive with your obvious bitterness and racism towards spanish speaking people. As uneducated as you surely are, id pick up a book and learn how to write English before insulting others cultures.

Thieving lying freaks! I brought in a screw to find another one for the footstool that was missing one. I looked around, with it in hand both going to and from the store, and then a black haired girl at the customer service register asked if I was stealing a screw. I told her no and I brought it from home (this was obvious since it didn't look like any they had in inventory). So she did the gracious thing and called the incompetent Stafford Police Department on me. Now I'll admit, the guy who came to the door was nice about it all. I told him no I didn't steal, showed him the screw, and he left. I went back asking why she did that, she made the same accusation again. Now since I have already had a hellacious time in this area, due to morons like her, I told her if she did it again I'd sue. So when I got home the SPD showed up again and asked if I threatened her, and I told him I'd sue her. He rolled his eyes and left, but before that I got his name, badge number and what he was there for. I took the recording back to Lowes (my mistake) and told the lady I had proof of her BS. She snatched it off the counter and asked me to leave. I told her to give it back or I'd come take it back. She said that if I went behind the counter she'd scream. I was shocked she was went sooo freaking low and was so petty that she couldn't just leave me the heck alone. So I told her manager, that was watching the whole thing, she said I needed 'proof' the voice recorder was mine. I told her she had it in her surveillance tapes. She gave a crap excuse that they 'weren't on' or something. Regardless, they lost a customer that day. Then I went in there a YEAR LATER, hoping something had changed, and I took a empty frame there once to get a piece of glass for it. The black man who cut it took more then a hour to cut a simple piece for a regular size frame. After I took it home, I was so tired I didn't want to wait anymore, I realized it was completely the wrong size. I took it back and the lady at the cash register said they don't accept glass returns. I told her that she should b/c they cut it wrong. She asked if I brought in the frame. I said yes and she laughed at me. She can laugh all she wants, but nothing will fix that troll like face of hers. Then I pointed out the exact guy who cut it and he LIED about his poor job. After 2 hours of wasting my time they finally refunded the $15.

This Lowe's has an attitude problem. Most of the employees there are unfriendly and usually seem more bothered by your presence. We had a number of doors installed, but one of them was not done properly and we couldn't lock it. We called within 2 hours after the gentleman left to report what happened, but it took several telephone conversations, and a visit to the store, to lock down a time for someone to return. I feel like if a service is not done right, every effort should be made to try and quickly rectify it, and I certainly shouldn't have to deal with unpleasantness on the phone. The man who performed the installation was really nice, it was just frustrating to get anyone to return and fix the door so that it would lock.

I liked lowes . I bought a few of their kobalt socket sets over the years. I tried to register my new set and they did not have me in their system. The kobalt help line said just buy more tools or make a new account. Basically they don't need a receipt or any proof we buy their tools. They will replace any socket individually for a $4 to $6 charge for shipping. Not 18 sockets at a single shipping price. So 18 sockets cost you $72 for shipping and the tool is free lol. So this is why she said just buy the tools again and don't worry about registering A 300pc tool kit. That could cost you $1200 minimum to replace. Why even throw the hand outs in the store. I liked lowes but I think I will start shopping elsewhere. Companies sell tools made of cheap materials and know any normal use can damage the tool. Lowe's was good about exchanging the tools or sockets. But their trying to get away from that responsibility. I would rather pay good money for a good tool. The issue there is employees stealing my tools so that was why I bought the cheap kobalt tools. Lowe's dose make it look good though. Free handouts lifetime warranty on any kobalt tool purchase. Looks good . you got me but I will never buy tools from lowes again. For the most part their a great store

Merry Christmas! - Warning --don't ever by a tree from this place! First of all went early 10am to pick up a christmas tree, and no one was around, had to go looking for someone to help package up the tree. Would not check us out in the area and had to drag a tree through the store and checkout at register. Good enough, I can deal with that, but once I checked out had my wife and kids wait in the store while I brought my car around to load it up. Went in and asked for string to tie it down. They pointed to a cart and so this was do it yourself, no help kind of service. Which is interesting to see a lot of the sloths just milling around the registers not doing anything could have easily help at least put the tree on top of my SUV, but that would be asking too much. That would be customer service and Lowe's doesn't promote that, because who would need help loading a freaking christmas tree in December. So got the tree on my SUV myself and got the cart with the string and could not find a cutter. This is where Lowe's really shines and had to go in asking for help again. Lazy punk kid come milling out and stands at the cart and asks me twice if I can't find the cutter. I told him I could not. He points to part of the leg of this cart where they have the words "cutter" in faded black marker on the side. They have a little saw blade attached inconspicuously to the cart. So no, I didn't see it! Wife told me later that he had gone back in side and was telling the other little sloths that I needed new glasses. He didn't know my wife was standing there. Merry Christmas Lowe's last time I will ever shop at your stores.

Visited the Hall road store after finding an Amazon price substantially lower than Lowes on a purchase made the day before at Hall Road Lowes. I was told Lowes policy is to only matched Home Depot & Menards, never Amazon. Called the corporate office & was told the national policy is to match Amazon as well as a number of other retailers. Called the store upon completing the conversation with corporate and was told that the store manager (Sikia) makes the policy & it didn't matter what the national policy was Sikia sets the policy for that store. So when choosing which Lowes to frequent bear in mind Hall road apparently sets their own policy.

The employees in most of the store except paint and plumbing have no clue on what they are selling or have to offer. Lack of training could be a problem there. The selection and options are very limited. They used to have more to choose from. The store is unorganized and finding someone for help is almost null and void. I usually start at Lowes and end up going to Home Depot or Menards.

The customer service is awesome! I got all my appliances there for a great price. They didn't have the microwave I wanted, so they gave me the upgraded one for the same price as the one I wanted, same with the stove. Then, on top of that I got 5% off of my whole order. I saved almost 2 grand! They saw my budget and worked with me so I could afford the appliances I wanted. They truly are great here. :)

I purchased a refrigerator from here, and when the delivery guy brought the refrigerator to my house he first arrived an hour an half late, then he tells me that my new refrigerator would not fit through my door. He measured my doorway and said it was 29 inches. I told him that he would have to take the doors off to bring it in. He told me no. He then asked to see if it would fit through my front door, and it would. But he said "I ain't got time to wait on you to move your couch of table". He was extremely rude and nasty yo me, he then told me I would have to go back to Lowe's and purchase another refrigerator. I rushed back over to Lowe's after he left pot look for another refrigerator. I then asked the sales person to look up the refrigerator I had just purchased and give me the measurements he to.d me that it measured at 28.5 inches. All the delivery guy had to do was remove the doors. I have been without a refrigerator for almost 2weeks. The service I received tonight from Lowe's delivery guy was totally unacceptable.

Wife and I wen in to get design plans and order new kitchen cabinets for our new home.... Boy did we waste our time. I knew I should have stopped when the employee came out and measured wrong and I had to correct the designer on the plans My wife and I spent over 6hrs working with the design team/employee went through and made everything that we both wanted and loved. I called to get my final price so I can have my wife go put a down payment on it received it... The following day received another price for $2,000 MORE! The reason behind this is "We weren't finished the calculations plus you are unable to use your 10% towards the purchase of a new kitchen when opening up a new Lowe's Credit Card" I also asked if the employee can bring the plans back out to my house to make sure that the measurements were correct since the first time they didn't listen on how big we wanted it.. They said no the only way we will come back out is if you have us install them for you... for an additional $2500 After complain to two store managers they gave me a final price one with them installing it and another with me installing.... Lets just say everything we wanted was cut to "Get us into our price range" What happened to the price range that was given to my wife and I when we spent 6hrs???? I will not be going back to this location ever again for any kind of design... Word of advice... Design it for the customer and don't tell them the price till the end then let the customer decide what they want to get rid of.

These people are why it's easy to go on thinking the world isn't all that reasonable. To begin, I needed 4 screws for a license plate frame. Now as to why I can't pick out a few sizes and try in the lot to find what I need?? Who knows, But that's the rule so I buy 5 packs of different sets. Now I had taken into consideration only needing 4 individual screws so I bought packs that were labeled "missing one". The fact is I didn't need all six so missing one wouldn't have mattered. Ok so turns out none were right on 1st try so I go in to return them after 5 mins in the lot. Well the packets weren't in their system as "missing one", so I could not return them for now It looks as if I took one out and wrote on the pack myself. I literally saved an assault charge by counting to ten, and suggested to the cashier to seek who wrote up the "missing one" slips on each pack. Well after pacing 4 feet each way they decided no one was available to help and it was just a sad misunderstanding. They had the nerve to ask if I wanted a bag for the screws I'm trying to return... needless to say I threw them out right then and there and said "I think I'm all good here." So basically I spent 10 dollars on useless screws I couldn't return after 5 mins of purchase. If I ever work at a lowe's, I'll know I've made it to hell.

Asked a Guy working in the appliance department for help finding Microwave fuses that the website said were in stock. He told me with a smug grin that they didn't carry anything like that and that it was unlikely I'd find them in any store just walking in - I should try online or at XXXX or XXXXX, maybe even radio shack. On the way out, I decided to check the electrics aisle - lo and behold - they not only had the fuses, but several kinds of them. Total ongoing disaster. My experience with Lowe's has been a comedic phenomenon, I have literally attempted to purchase appliances over a 5 year period a total of 7 times, and in every case there has been something wrong with the delivery, the quality, the wrong item, unable to complete an order and today, #7, my dishwasher showed up damaged 5 hours later than promised. I was told they have 2 more coming in tonight so they can deliver another dishwasher on Saturday, this will be the 8th attempt at trying to buy something from Lowe's and have it delivered. I am to the point where I am just ordering anything just to see if they can really complete an order without issues or errors. Last year was my 6th attempt that ended in disappointment and I told myself I wouldn't ever try again, but my curiosity got the best of me and here I am at #8. I'm not an angry person, quite patient in fact, I don't ever treat the employees with disrespect, they really are very nice people and they are doing the job they are paid to do, I just find this exercise a comedic adventure that is almost beyond belief. I totally expect the dishwasher will not be delivered on Saturday, today is Thursday, there will be some kind problem that will interfere with the delivery or the product. In fact, my new strategy is to order from 2 different stores, different items just to see if either can actually complete an order without ending in disaster. I am purchasing a range from one Lowe's and a dishwasher from another. Stay tuned.

So where do i start. Past experience has been great, so when we needed a new wash machine we just went back. Ordered the wash machine no problem. It took over a week to be shipped to the store, I started calling after 5 days. The first day I called it to about 40 min JUST to talk to someone in appliance. The manager even got on the phone during this time and said "join the club" when I explained the problem. Finally, when they had the wash machine they said it would take two days to deliver. I asked if i could l pick it up they said yes but it weighs 400 lbs!!!!!! I looked up the specs and it weighed 138lbs. My son and I picked it up unloaded it and hooked it up..... When i was at the store I told them three times to canc. my delivery date. Then .....we received a call to have the wash machine delivered. And yes ladies you can hook up a wash machine!!!

Most of the products they sell are low quality off-brand yet sold at regular rates. Insulation is not Owens. Door hardware is some flimsy Gatehouse brand. Picked up an electrical box for ceiling fan that fell apart during installation, again some weird off-brand. Got some boards to make new window sills, most of which warped when I ripped them down. The wife picked up ceiling fan that has plastic fan blades that sag down. They sell cheap stuff at high price. Even the American Standard toilet we got there is junk (bowl is skewed). They do have the good drywall and mud as well as a few decent tools. And they are west of Haggerty which avoids that nasty traffic. The quality of items goes be-Lowes even planned obsolescence.

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING TO BE DELIVERED FROM THIS STORE!! We are ASTONISHED at the TERRIBLE service we have received from the Westland Lowe's & their handling of our refrigerator delivery. The initial attempted delivery personnel were rude, sketchy, unprepared, and over an hour late. We were then told our preferred reschedule date was not available, which should have been our first indication that these issues would continue. We then attempted to reschedule the delivery date/time, but did not receive a call to do so. Therefore we called and they stated they would come that evening. They did not arrive, did not call us, and lied by saying they came to the house and no one was home. The driver also refused to answer calls and respond to the company's inquiries as to their status. During this time we were also contacting Lowe's store management who stated "they could do nothing because this is a 3rd party delivery service", which is a completely ridiculous. Essentially the 3rd party delivery service controls Lowe's?!

1-1-15 We went to Lowe's and did not know which aisle a few things were. We walked by 6 to 8 guys up front by the cash registers and the young men were discussing their sexual activities. Not one "hello" nor "can I help you" at all and I passed them 4 times trying to find what I needed. A guy named, "David" actually asked if I needed help after serious frustration. He helped me the last time when I went to Customer Service Desk after being shipped back and forth around the store when I would ask where ONE item was located .... no one took me to find it but directed me to aisles....Then David heard me tell them I was leaving and not ever coming back and he helped me. Too bad Lowe's has gone downhill at this location. I have decided to spend more money and get better service and go out of my way to a True Value Hardware in Eastpointe where I don't have to listen to nasty sexual stories and I will not be ignored. My best friend was actually more angry by the whole thing than me and he is not coming back.

Nightmare!! I was charged a carpet installation the same price as the ceramic!! I should have gone to other companies that offer $99 carpet installation per room. Don't be fooled by the 18 month free financing... that got me to the bait. The people are not honest at all. I am much happier with Angie' list. 1/2 of my house project done by Angie's contractor. Go to Angie's list where estimates are free and be able to compare. I had a big house project done by Lowe's in 2006 and I was satisfied....but this one... horrible!

Horrible. 3 items was ordered 4 days ago. got a pick up email within 2 hours of order for pick up. Got to the store only 1 item was available for pick up. Waited 20 mins for them to get the other two items. Could of got it myself and it would have been faster. Fyi don't order pick up from this store if you're in a hurry

Good selection and customer service. Sometimes you have to look around a minute to find someone to help out, but they've always been helpful and knowledgable. Ironically the least friendly person I met was at the customer service counter, but she still handled my return quickly and correctly. Would love to see more specialty woodworking products (go to rockler) and electronics (arduino-type stuff like resistors etc). Gotta dock one star b/c they make room for garden gnomes instead of decent band saws, but a good store overall.

Bought a number of kitchen appliances from this store. I worked with Matt in the appliance department. one of the most helpful guys I've met in a hardware store. this guy is genuine. helped me place a large order for Bosch appliances and also applied multiple discounts. recently when we were installing out Bosch microwave, the door of the microwave came off its hinges, which even Bosch technician could not fix. he asked us to return and buy another one. Bosch customer service advised us the same. mind you this is a microwave that we haven't even yet installed. so I called up Matt and he understood my situation. he called up Bosch on my behalf and they informed him that there's little they could do on their end. so Matt went ahead and placed an order for a new one and agreed to accept the one I have currently. If you are purchasing appliances, I would suggest to go straight to Matt and he'll take care of you. Chirag

1 of the worse stores I've ever been too! I dislike it for many reason but it has to be the staff. No one knows what they are doing in fact its actually funny how bad they are. The store is in the ghetto and it looks like it!! cut trees back fix the landscape and maintain some sort of standards. the depot of Parkville is much better... Any place is better

I asked to more employees and they was to busy to help a customer for 2 minutes. The bad thing about it all is the store was like a ghost town little to no people was there. An no employees was helping no one. So question what was they doing that they couldn't stop to help a customer out?

Employee named Jazz was nice, friendly, and offered to help. Only positive. Employees in the lumber section were upset that we moved plywood sheets to get the ones we wanted... Never mind the fact that the top sheets weren't the right ones for the location, and they were so bad they were rotting and crumbling. No worries though, according to them, they keep those junk pieces there on top since people are stupid and will buy them anyways.....

The staff and managers at Lowe's in Timonium are lying crooks. They are racist and sexist and will take advantage of their customers at every turn in the process. I've been trying to get flooring installed since May (it is almost August). They never provided a written estimate, the estimate person lied about what they could and couldn't do, the contract they had us sign was not at all what they said, and the contractors would not do the work we paid for. Been waiting for a response back from management to rectify the situation for 4 days. David and Mark in sales, Jennifer in install, and Chris the manager have been unhelpful, nonresponsive, and unable to answer any questions. Do not use them.

Worst home improvement store! I bought custom paint to match their previous paint and it didn't match. They offered me half off a replacement can of paint for their mistake! They kept asking if I stirred the paint and treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. If they had decent customer service they would have replaced it and apologized. I'll never go back.

Compared to the other Lowes stores I've dealt with, this one is by far much better. Employees at westminister, catonsville, and severn locations would leave you on hold indefinitely and/or hang up on you, however the staff and manager of this location were immensely helpful. Dealing with this location versus the others was like a breath of fresh air.

Just horrible customer service. I needed blinds cut and was informed that the machine was not working - so I asked are there any other alternatives. The young lady that I was speaking to seemed willing to help, but it wasn't her department. She decided to asked one of her coworkers that worked in that department and he was a total snob. He looked at me and told me "go to another store." I am in their store and providing them business and that's how they speak to a buying customer. I spoke with the manager and she assured me that she would be speaking with that employee - I hope they get it right or they'll lose more business.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have suffered through in quite some time. Cashier walked around the corner to the water rack and rang me up for 5 gallon water refills. After paying and going to the rack I pointed out that there were no refills available. I was sent to customer service and told they would get bottles from the stockroom. Customer service did not ask what I wanted, just refunded my money. I explained that I wanted refills not a refund and was informed none were available. I informed the clerk that the refills were in the stock room and she called back and confirmed. She then told me I could come back later in the day when they were stocked even though I volunteered to get them myself. I asked to talk to a manager and she checked and informed me the manager was busy but that if I stuck around someone would come talk to me. In case anyone from Lowes is reading this everything occurred today, 5/18/15 around 4:00PM. Get your head in the game crew or The Home Depot will eat your lunch.

Only had to wait 55 minutes to get someone to mix a quart of paint.......several associates walked right by without offering assistance. After 15 minutes, I stopped an associate and asked if anyone was working in paint to which he replied, "I don't think anyone is working in the whole store, have someone page you". I asked an associate at the return counter if they could page someone. After waiting another 20 minutes, no one came. After a few more minutes, someone at the return counter told me someone was coming. Finally someone arrived, he mixed the paint and it wasn't even close to the correct color so I had to wait even longer. I've been coming to this store almost every weekend for projects on my house. I think I'll be going to the HomeDepot down the street more often.

This place has great products and prices, but has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Every single time I go in there either no one is around or someone is right there but don't know how to work that department. People are so ignorant on their departments and no one is cross trained. There has been instances while I am in the store that I had to actually call the office to receive service. It took me almost an hour and a half just to purchase a riding lawn mower. The managers do nothing to fix the issue although they say that they will. It's gotten to the point that I hate going in there and avoid going in there if I can.

Had a very good shoping experience one day at Lowe's. Shopping in the Rug area of the store when a lady name of "Trish" according to name tag, asked if she could help. She helped me pick out the carpet, rolled it up, took me to check out and aslo helped me load the rug into my car. Second time in 19 years that anyone anyone in the store asked if I need any help. Believe they really need to improve Customer Service in that store.

Some employees here don't begin to know how to treat customers. If you buy a Christmas tree and expect them to lift a hand to even help carry, load or tie it on, forget any expectations of basic customer service. I had to carry 7-8 ft tree inside to checkout then out and lift it on top of 4wheel drive suv. Two employees (man and woman) assigned that area didn't offer to help. When I asked they said, "We don't know how to tie trees on top and it's a liability for Lowe's".Nice to know after you purchase. Fine, at least help carry it out, but they wouldn't even do that. I went inside by customer service desk. I asked to speak with "manager". He wouldn't even talk to take my complaint, told a girl to talk to me and in a few minutes he then came over to the service desk , never addressed me or said a word but appeared to be listening from the side. As I was leaving I could heatr he and the girl laughing. Manager was 45-50 white hair, maybe whitish thin beard. Unbelievable they treat people this way and Lowe's allows them to hold a job. Home Depot for all my future needs!

The end of Jan 2014, Lowes subcontracted with Chenal Heat & Air to install total HVAC system on my home, to include ducts in the attic. It took a week for it to be completed. I have a 1 story ranch, 1600 sqft. During this time the outside temps were in the teens and twenties. They had to replace some sensor on the heat pump 4-5 times The outside unit (heat pump) was solid ice on many occasions. Now, heat in the 90s, no AC for 11 days; the air handler coils have leaked freon. The tech re-charged it after he found the leak. That worked for 2.5 days. I had to call twice to find our what was going on about the part. On Jul 6, was told part was "on the dock" and they would install it 7 Jul afternoon. 10 yr warranty on parts, labor warranty exp. Jan. 2015. The coils leak at 17 months old, the heat pump sensor had to be replaced 5 times. The unit installed is a Trane and I will not recommend it to anyone. Does it take over a week to get a part? The quality is severely lacking.

My husband and I went in for some paint. We are repurposing an entertainment center into a children's Costume wardrobe and needed some paint. I asked for help and the woman asked me how much paint I needed. I told her what we needed it for and that I did not know anything about how to determine how much I needed. She told me she didn't know how much paint I needed either. She acted very inconvenienced to have been taken away from her task to have to give a little customer service. I could walk to this location from my home but will now bypass it to go straight to Home Depot or Ace.

Last Saturday the message was clear to me: Lowes of North Little Rock does not want us (parents and kids) there and for them the Build and Grow is an inconvenience for which they exert no effort. For several years my two kids have participated of the Build and Grow Program and loved it in PA. It has been an incredible experience full of learning and fun. You should see their faces: intense focus as they work and beaming with pride at the end. Most of our experience was in Allentown and Bethlehem PA. Last week we came to Lowes at North Little Rock... Not Impressed. First, they placed the program as far away from the entrance as possible. Actually all the way to the end in a corner and it was not to make it more convenient for us. They wanted us out of the way and out of sight. Second, there were NO tables prepared for the children to work their projects. People either had to leave or work on the floor which was extremely dusty and uncomfortable. The workers hosting the event, specially Milton, were friendly and tried to be helpful but they were limited in what they could do. I believe it was a testament of how the parents love their kids that they tried to keep a positive attitude and help their kids enjoy their projects. I love the Build and Grow program but I expect better from Lowes. It feels as if management is trying to kill the program but don't want to do it openly. So they are making it uncomfortable enough that people will stop coming. Shame on you.

My 86 y/o mom decided to buy a new kitchen in October 2014. It is now November 2015 and she paid $15,000 up front to pay for the new kitchen and they are still trying to fix their mess. She was living in her bedroom for over a year and could not use the kitchen. The designer who measured, measured wrong and had to redo the cabinets. The plumber they hired and still use, did not install the plumbing correctly, she wanted a spice rack next to the stove and now cannot have it because of the way the plumber installed the water line. My mom's plumber said it was NOT done to code. The plumber installed the stove. It sat to low and messed up the counter. The job is still not finished. They make promises to finish by a certain day and are a no show. They sent material to the house, and did not tell that sat there for weeks and did not follow through. I told her to file a lawsuit. She keeps trying to work with them and they continue to not follow through.
