Fairfield in San Antonio tx, you go feeling great about the stay and came home angry. Their clarification of their credit card usage for disabled people like myself. It's like being robbed. I paid my bill and still took my money on the card.

I am a member of Marriott Vacation Club, which has nothing to do with making reservations for a Marriott Hotel, which I am a Gold Member. Due to some problem with the payment with the Vacation Club they connect the hotel reservation to a totally separate business account. How stupid to discourage use of hotel reservation for a reservation due to a VC ownership issue with a business. This is an issue that would seem to impact a far ranging group of Marriott Reward users.

I was a registered guest at the Courtyard Marriott Inn in Wall Township, NJ on June 5, 2015. I was awakened at about midnight or 1 am by 2 drunk males trying to break into my room. I called 911 and the 2 policemen who responded and investigated, located the 2 perpetrators in Room 337. I was registered for Room 327. After figuring out what had happened, it turned out the two very inebriated men had returned from a wedding reception and forgot their room #. They thought it was # 327 whereas actually they were registered to # 337.

Booked this room for a two night stay. They never sent the confirmation.. had to call a second time for it to be sent. I don't know how or why after I checked in they deleted the emailed itinerary they sent. I called to inquire about it and they hung the phone up on me 6:50 am 7.5.15. Also my room and bed was not cleaned and made with new linen after the first night. Was told it had to be requested??? I had the impression that the Marriott was one of the superior service hotel chains and in a two night stay at the Marriott in Norcross GA my perception has changed.

Arrived at the Marriott in Brooklyn Park, MN on July 4th 2015 and discovered dirty boys underwear and shorts on the floor in our room! (So the room was never cleaned before we got there...) Night manager said he would get back with me on compensation (which they failed to do) - like another poster said "you were treated differently since it was ordered through Hotels.com and not directly from Marriott." I sent an email and letter to Marriott after multiple calls to the day and night manager went unreturned to me. Finally their guest services center in Utah said they apologized but felt no further action was necessary to compensate me - talk about poor customer service! I will never stay at another Marriott hotel. They do not live up to their core values "We Put People First" - **!!!

On September 5, 2015, I checked into the St. George Courtyard Marriott. Well, on the morning of Sunday, September 6, 2015, I noticed bite marks and welts on my right torso and left arm but, being unfamiliar with bed bugs, mistakenly assumed they were mosquito bites sustained while attending a football game the prior evening. Upon returning to San Diego, I continued to notice new welts and bite marks every morning and decided to consult a nurse practitioner, who surmised that the welts were from bed bugs.

In August 2015, I visited the SpringHill Suites Hotel in Mason Ohio. As a disabled veteran I have a service dog, I also have two minor children. At check-in, the front desk agent was aware of my service dog. The following morning while my children and I were attending breakfast I was asked to show my ID to verify my room stay. I was then charged $100 for my service dog. That morning prior to my 1 o'clock late check out I decided to go to Target located nearby. Attempting to use my debit card on a $37 purchase, it was declined so I had to use another card. Upon my return to the hotel, so I had to use another card. Upon my return to the hotel, my hotel key would not open the building door and another resident had to let me in.

I called to book my reservation for my race at the Host hotel and I was told I couldn't get the rate because they were all booked up. So I ended up paying $205 for a room. I requested 2 double beds and a late checkout because I was going to be doing the race and wanted to take a bath before heading to back home. When I finally got my keys to the room it was a King bed with no working telephone. I spoke to the manager and she consistently to tell me I order the king suite. I was told by the Manager that all the rooms were booked and if I didn't want to stay she would refund me my money. I told her that it was too late and my race was early in the morning and there were no other hotels available at the last minute that was close to the race.

On Oct 16 Friday after a wedding at the bar at 503 plantation St. Worcester, Mass I bought a round of drinks for my guest total was $95.00 that I signed for. The next day checking on my account I was billed $195.00. I freaked out and called. What's pissing me off is that am getting the run around, even the manager doesn't return calls. I did speak with the bar tender. Finally he said 100 was added by pen? I was pissed off told him "what the hell is your problem. You are paying for that not me. Fixed this. You better call me back am waiting. Going viral with this." Advice don't give your card up. Ask for prices. Get names. Check your bill twice. Am not done. Am getting someone fired. Wait for part two... I'll be back.

Stayed at a Marriott Courtyard in Toronto (5050 Creekbank RD). Booked via Priceline. Was treated second class for booking thru Priceline but I didn't really care about that. Even though its against Priceline's agreement with the hotel. I checked out with a zero balance. Fully prepaid booking and no extra charges. Again CONFIRMED at checkout. Checking my VISA statement, the hotel charged me $61.02 two days after I left. I called them and they said they never charged me and again said I had a zero balance when I left. I did not use any extras, this also confirmed. Said the manager would call me but that did not happen.

Everything about the Chicago Marriott at Medical District/UIC was great with the exception of the bathrooms. The toilets/vanities were designed in an extremely flawed manner (should not have passed building inspection). In order to use the toilets in the rooms, despite gender, one must hold up BOTH the toilet seat and the lid. The vanity comes out (or the toilet is set too far back) too far to allow the toilet seat and lid to stay up without being physically held up by the user. This is both dangerous and unsanitary.

The Fairfield Inn in Layton, UT is awful. Our first room wasn't even done! The door was ajar and it wasn't even clean. Not to mention the check in time is 3 and the rooms weren't even ready 2 hours later. Our next room smelled like mold and we could barely breathe. Our third room took about a half hour to even get because the maintenance staff only had a few rooms even cleaned. The hotel pool was closed too. TERRIBLE HOTEL.

I made my reservation about a week before my trip. I was given room no. 329, I cannot remember the exact room number. I did not like the room. The balcony was facing a thick bushes, there were tree branches almost touching the balcony so I called the front desk and requested to be moved to a different room but was told that there was no other room with two queen size beds available anymore. However, my friend who was traveling with me with the basketball team got his room changed.

First off this is the highest hotel I've paid for without a microwave, cooler or refrigerator, no sofa. This hotel sucks and I'm not a person to complain much but I am on vacation and this experience was not pleasant for me nor my kids. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

So when booked our reservation a little over a week before, they claimed to not have received the forms I sent in for our stay. Then they gave us a room that we did not request. What was advertised when making our reservations was a suite with a living room and a separate bedroom. They put us in a room that only had a king bed and no living room. Super annoyed because this is my birthday vacation, definitely not worth paying $722.14 for 2 night smdh!!!

We travel to Marriotts quite often. We travel with girls softball and families. Usually no problems. Tonight we are staying in Fairfield Inn in Wallingford CT. Our softball team returned to the hotel and ordered food to be brought to the small conference type room and eat as a team. There was a large number of people consuming alcohol and carrying on. Extremely loud that the manager did ask them to lower their voices. They never got up and carried on drinking and speaking with inappropriate language in front of teenage girls and younger siblings as we travel in families. Our team was then forced to eat standing up in the lobby while our children basically ate on the floor and small furniture in the lobby. Nothing was done to control the loud and rude group of people. We were told it's a common area and they can't be asked to leave.

Fairfield INN I 35 South Waco Texas - The hotel was a very clean place. But none of the cleaning crew (the ones who go into your rooms) could not understand any English and you could not tell the the problem you were having in the rooms. I went there to join family and friends and also meet ants in the rooms. My room was on the third floor and I had ants in between the beds on the night stand for two nights. Even though they offered me a change of rooms after I told the maid who did not tell the front desk, I stayed in the room the last night but did not leave any food by the bed.

I checked into the Marriott Los Suenos on July 3, 2015. I used a credit card for the "temporary hold" which I have done in many hotels with no problem. When I checked out on July 5, I was assured by the front desk person that I wasn't charged. Well guess what? Today is July 17, and the hold is still there. After numerous calls and emails, they refuse to help. I was told by an assistant, that it was taken care of. A few days ago, her manager called me (I wasn't available), and said he wanted to make a conference call with the bank. I called him back many times, just get his voice mail. They think because he called me one day, that it's solved.

On calling Marriott Woodbridge about an existing booking made by Booking.com the lady on phone asks me "Why do you people make bookings on Booking.com or TripAdvisor???" "You should book at marriott.com." Hello??? How does it matter how I made the booking? If Marriott doesn't trust such services as Booking.com, Hotel.com or TripAdvisor why do they accept bookings from them? I have stayed at 5 stars and the staff has been polite and courteous under tremendous pressures. Never encountered such rudeness in the hospitality industry. How does Marriott expect me to ever book a room at any of its locations?

I am a government contractor not traveling as a company employee. I am traveling on government orders for contract instruction. We are directed by our government office at Department of the Army to use the government rate. If Courtyard Marriott needs paperwork to prove, I can provide/show the Contractor Travel Request (CTR) as our orders and proof.

It is so difficult to work with their customer service representatives. They are almost never timely in response. Half the time they won't answer the question you asked or they claim they don't understand when it is clear as day what you are asking. And if you dare respond to the email they send you asking for more information (or exactly what you needed in the first place) they won't answer you. It is ridiculous and more than one time, this time delay has inconvenienced me greatly. I am tired of dealing with these people. It truly is a gamble trying to email them. Note: One representative in particular was very unhelpful and would not respond to a second email. His name was Imran **.

The night we arrived we parked our SUV 100 feet away from our hotel room for safety reasons. The next morning I walked to our SUV and I was absolutely shocked. What I saw first was auto glass strewn over the street surface in the back of the SUV. As I approached further I noticed the passenger-side rear door window had been broken out. Inside the back of our SUV where we had all of our high priced fishing rods and reels plus several boxes of fishing tackle was empty. All was gone. Stolen!! Then I noticed the left-hand rear door appeared to be wrinkled where the thieves attempted to use a tool to enter the car but were not successful.

Marriott has devalued my reward points by an amount of at least $1,000. They have done this by upping the points required by upping the category levels of their motels. One case that I know of was upped from 7,500 to 30,000 points for a stay. They state that they have added amenities that require this increase. Baloney! As a customer for over 45 years, goodbye! I have dropped my rewards credit card as a result and have opted for cash rewards only. I will never be scammed this way again.

I would like to share my worst and the most horrible experience in a hotel in the last 20 years of traveling. It started with making the reservation at the Residence Inn, Westgate hotel in Montreal, Canada. I had accumulated enough points by previously staying at Marriott hotels so I decided to use them for a brief vacation for me and my family in Montreal. I made a reservation on 7/30/2015 at 8:51 PM using points for 3 nights for a room with double beds. Once I received the reservation confirmation, I noticed that the room does not have a sofa bed that usually all Residence Inn have. We are a family of 4 people with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 & 11. I called the customer service and requested them if they could notify the hotel to give us a room with 2 beds or with a sofa bed so that me, my wife and our kids could sleep. The customer service supervisor was nice and sent the request right away.

Stay there 4-5 times per year for last 5 yrs. Check in on July 16, 2015 and check out July 18. There was a group of teenagers (maybe 30-40) who made my stay miserable. They talked in the hallway till 1:30 in the morning and were loud. I called front desk and they were nice and said they would handle it. Talking stopped for 5 minutes and then continued. Bad part was that it was a church group and some parents were with them. Suggest anyone going to this hotel call ahead and verify no kids groups will be there.

Waikiki Marriott Beach Resort was rated 4-star on priceline. False and misleading advertisement. The hotel is under renovation. The lobby is renovated but the rooms belong to the 80s. The block of rooms allocated to priceline buyers hardly make 2-star. Broken furniture and bathroom fixtures, dirty carpets, no water in your room, vending machine broken. Worst of all staff and managerial attitude. As a Priceline buyer you are treated like a 3rd class citizen. Your room will be the closest to the elevator or the hotel's noisy air conditioning equipment. Stay away if you value your money and vacation time. Priceline is as much at fault as Marriott. It is Priceline's misrepresentation of the hotel that got us there.

Fairfield By Marriott Long Island City NY - The only reason for booking that hotel was the car parking that was offered. So I requested to have a spot reserved for our car as we were arriving very late and from very far. On arrival desk clerk Nina declared no spot was reserved and street parking was all we could have - mind you the area is industrial and very shabby looking particularly at night. I requested to see the manager, staff said they weren't on site. As I learned later he was sitting right behind us. I was also explicitly told that whatever Expedia promises - the hotel doesn't oblige to provide. It's Expedia's problem, not the hotel's.

For a great getaway vacation, you must come to the island of St. Thomas and stay at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove. Their rooms are fully equipped: kitchen with all appliances, washer/dryer and abundant towels. Plus the view will "drive you crazy" it's so beautiful. The staff is attentive and the food is so good. They have a buffet every Monday with so much food you will wobble back to the pool or your room! We have made great friends there as well. Rominia, a staff member, was very attentive and answered any and all questions. Their whole staff was a pleasure to work with. The waitresses and other workers were friendly and so much fun to talk to. The other guests were easy to meet and chat with (the best place for that is in the pool with a drink in your hand! We rarely missed their daily Happy Hour at the pool bar. You will not regret going there!!

I hate that you everything feels so corporate. Very little information or contacts for the actual properties, not many photos or details, and just a not so intuitive design. Each time I go to make a reservation, I get annoyed choosing the dates and waiting for the options. I'm not sure if it's an AJAX issue but I always have to refresh during reservations. Which is a shame, because I love Marriott hotels

Marriott Residence Inn @ BWI BAD BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot write a review about the hotel room since I have not stayed at this location. I booked a room 2 months in advance for the JAZZ FESTIVAL at a rate of $117 per night. Good deal right? I just got a call from Anne Daily that the rate has changed to $509 per night. The Manager Jeffery Bault thought he was doing me a favor by giving me the discounted rate of $299 a night. They said I was not suppose to get that rate because I wasn't on a particular list. They waited three weeks before the event to notify me of this mistake. I am furious! I should not have to pay the price for their mistake. Why is the customer always inconvenienced? Need help? I tried the corporate office, but they are giving me the run around. The Residence Inn at the Marriott even sent me a confirmation email of $117 and now $509. REALLY!!!! Any advice? I really don't want to give up my getaway weekend with my husband. :(

The hotel is fine. Clean and in a good location, however- the Bistro restaurant in the hotel is a complete mess. I try not to expect much from hotels when it comes to food but this one in specific is horrible- 14.25 for a pizza and it is served cold and was clearly a frozen pizza, a beer is 6.75 which is robery. For breakfast I decided to grab a strawberry and banana smoothie 4.25 it is served with old yoghurt and is mostly ice- so much ice intact that you cannot drink it with a straw. Don't go to the restaurant but the hotel is fine and the staff is very friendly.

Amazing location, and the rooms were nice, with good views and a great looking lobby. The elevators are a little slow, and I wish the pool had a hot tub and sauna like it apparently used to... Was in town for leisure and had a great experience. Chose this hotel based on location and it's close to everything. Chicago theatre is right across the street and the L is a matter of steps from the hotel door. Just a few blocks from the lake as well as the magnificent mile. Staff was very friendly and room was spacious and had a great view (North side of the building, overlooking the river). My wife and I had a brief let down in service that was immediately taken care of and the front desk supervisor went above and beyond for us in correcting the matter. Recently stayed here for our One Year Wedding anniversary. When calling ahead, I never had to wait on hold, someone was always there immediately to answer the phone. Upon arrival, I requested an early checkin which they granted without any issue. Our travel arrangements for the next day ran into a snag, and they were more than happy to accommodate a later check out as well. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They also delivered a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in celebration of our anniversary! Very clean rooms with great views. Highly reccommended, will be staying here again!!

A/ C was not working in room, was 75°F overnight. Rooms are a bit older and in need of a refresh, especially the carpet. Convenient downtown location. Staff were courteous with the few requests we had, and rewards members are likely to get the appropriate perks that come with their tiers. The hotel couldn't handle the breakfast load. Very long lines (30 minute plus) and not enough tables. We were advised to stand in line and take the food back to our room. At the hotel for a hockey tournament, they are not very accommodating. 1) The room temperature is way too high, cannot adjust. 2) We reserved a two bedroom suite, but were offered two one bedroom suites instead (my 14 is not sleeping in a suite alone, so she is on the fold out couch) 3) We asked if we could use the breakfast area to have a team dinner and were told "no gatherings aloud in that room & we don't allow outside food in that area anyway..." 4) smallest, cramped kitchenette I have ever had in a hotel suite, no oven and a two burner stove. 5) as of 1pm, housekeeping still had not been to our room. 6) Check out is at noon, I asked for late check out (one hour) and was denied, with crappy attitude and informed that only one family from our team could have late checkout (out of 13 rooms) or the cleaning staff would not be able to get the rooms flipped in time... 7) When I asked for management contact information, desk clerk got offended and angry. I have NO INTEREST in ever staying here ever again.

We had an awesome experience at this Residence Inn. Julia, the manager, who was there all three days that we stayed here, was very accommodating, attentive, and professional. We requested towels to be sent to our room and Julia came up to our room with the towels! As we checked out, we thanked her for our time there. Initially we came in with a Yankees gear on and even though she mentioned she noticed it, she was still professional and respectful :) thank you Julia for an amazing stay. We suggest anyone stay at this residence inn. It's quiet, but also not too far from the train stations and places to eat. There are also great views of the bridge and water. Also! We had plans to go to Fenway and we didn't have a chance to print our tickets before we left. The staff informed us that there was a computer and printer customers can use free of charge! Thanks to the staff at this Residence Inn our plans for Fenway worked!!! :)

I stayed at the Residence Inn Boston Harbor while in Boston for business for two days. The first day here, the valet at the hotel got my car into an accident. I had to take taxis that night (I drove my own car to avoid this) but the hotel staff was originally sympathetic and polite, at least. Day two, staff was pretty rude and unhelpful. We were given a full bill for the stay (expected some kind of break after you know, getting my car in an accident and then tied up for a whole night) This event really soured my trip, and now I have to deal with the valet company with no help from the hotel to deal with the damages to my car. I will never stay at this hotel again and will advise all of my friends and fans to do the same.

Friendly staff, spacious and clean but the location can be an issue for some. I stayed here a few nights and had no issues. Nothing spectacular compared to other Residence Inns. The location lends itself to more interesting views but make sure to ask for a room with one. Just expect to pay more (it's expensive). It was quiet despite being in the city and while it's not in the heart you can fairly easily walk to some nearby restaurants and bars. The trick is getting in and out if you're in a car. Because it butts up against the water your options are fairly limited so give yourself extra time to get around if you're using your car.

Overall, it's great! Right next to a marina, the location is beautiful. I've watched sailboats pass by while having a morning coffee. The USS Constitution, Bunker Hill, and the North End are all within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. And depending on which side your room faces, you have a good view of the Zakim Bridge. The complimentary breakfast is great as well. It's varied each day and includes eggs, potatoes, waffles, sausage, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, and fruits. Also, on Mon to Wed there is a "mix" in the evening which can double as a dinner. Depending on the day, you can expect chicken tacos (with guacamole), burgers from a food truck, waffles, and more. There is also a decent sized indoor pool and hot tub as well as a fitness center. My only caveat is that the parking is pricey, especially for the valet ($45). But, next to the hotel, there is a public lot that offers hourly parking with a 24 hour rate ($27). It's definitely worth checking out; the staff is very friendly and the views are amazing, especially in the summer when the marina is active.

It is unfortunate that you can not spot less than one star. My experience(s) at the hotel are almost comical how bad they It were. Let me preface this by stating that I am an IGH platinum member. For those that don't use the status system, basically I try to stay in IHG brand hotels. Holiday Inn is part of that group. I stay in their hotels all over the planet. Now - I can easily say that this particular location is the worst of all IHG hotels. Period. So let me explain... Part one: The Freezer Visiting the area, I choose this as my hotel since it was fairly close to my customer. I had booked for a week and a half stay. During this particular stay, in February 2015, it was certainly cold outside. One does not mind the cold if they have a warm hearth to come in to. The room I was put in had a secret.... the heater didn't work past the point of falling asleep. Sure, it worked when I came in the room, and was putting out your standard electronic heat. Sometime after midnight, I felt a bit cold, to the point where it woke me up. I got up to use the restroom, and I could tell that it was cold in the room. I walked over to the heater, and it was blowing cold air. It wouldn't reset to the heat selection. I even unplugged and re plugged it in. It worked again while I was trying to adjust the heat (which I kept at 73 degrees, not that hot) but then shut off again after I Tried falling asleep. When I got up to my alarm clock later, same situation. It was cold in the room. Uncomfortably cold. When I left for work that morning, I told the receptionist about the situation in my room. She apologized and said a mechanic would look at it. I was also offered a different room, which I agreed to take. A mechanic wasnt going to fix this. It's an electric heater. Those either work or they don't. Heaters aren't rocket science. Anyway, I came back that night, and took my new room. And guess what? Same thing happened. This had to be some sort of prank. Once again I complained and said I would be checking out early and finding a new hotel. Problem was, there was an ice storm coming in that day, and none of the other local hotels had any spare rooms. So I was to be stuck in the hotel for one more night. I tried to kill time by doing my laundry in their guest machine. $2.00 for a wash, $2.00 for a dry. The receptionist complained that I needed too many quarters and that I should check back with her in a half an hour. That was odd, and really upset me, but I complied and got my, god forbid... 16 quarters. I should have went with my gut instinct and not washed my clothes. The dryer ran for about 50 minutes, and didn't dry my clothes. They were still wet when I got them. There was no way I was going to risk asking for more quarters. Now back to the joke room. The heater not only didn't work, I couldn't stop the cold air from flooding my room. I unplugged it and left it off, but it still sucked in all the cold air from outside. And it was below freezing. I took all the blankets (handkerchief thickness) and sheets and tried to ball myself up. People, I froze and did not get any sleep. When I got up the next morning, my wet clothes were frozen stiff in a block of ice, folded as they were, even from being wet. It was a nightmare. I had to put on ice pants in the morning. that was it. I checked out, never to return again. Or so I thought... continued in part 2

I absolutey loved it... The 1st and 3rd shift ladies were awesome... Tiffany was wonderful, staying up all night talking with me about how much I missed my daughter, attentive to every little request I had and asking constantly was there anything else she could do to make my stay more enjoyable. Lisa, she was terrific. My mornings were always off to a great start with the fresh coffee and her consideration to my particular eating habits, even at 4:30 in the morning... These ladies were an absolute Blessing... I don"t travel often, but if I ever come back to Greenville I hope these ladies will be there. Their manager though I only saw him briefly was not surprised to hear my comments, but asked as well if there was anything that he could do to make my experience more enjoyable... And though the hotel was PACKED the entire week they all remembered my name and room # and why I was there and AMAZING!!!!!

My experience tonight with kitchen staff member, Joan might have be her name, was horrific. I went to the dinning area to get what I assumed was dinner. Subs, salad, pasta salad, potato salad, two types of chips, watermelon and beer or wine. One problem, no plates. I didn't see the staff member so grabbed a little stack from the dinning area, instead of trying to find staff, to be helpful. She came barging out and I told her that they were out of plates. I felt like a school child who was in trouble. She looked at me so furious and said "UM YEAH, we're not using plates tonight." I'm sorry, what? She said "NO PLATES" Then I asked her if I'm supposed to only use the little four inch plate? She told me that there were also small bowls, while giving me a dirty look and rolling her eyes. I see the other guests carrying four little plates and bowls to get it all to their tables. I said "Well okay, I'll just grab our room plates since it would be much easier and frankly less wasteful." Apparently she went into the hallway to wait for me to come back. On our way towards her, as soon as she saw us, she yelled all the way down the hall to tell us you're supposed to use the little plates! She even tried to block us in the hallway! She told us we couldn’t have a plate and that her manager said we couldn’t have big plates. I simply walked around her. She remained confrontational while following us to the table. Then she said "No, you need to listen to me! You won’t be using those plates! This is only supposed to be snack! IT'S JUST A SNACK! You need to be more respectful of the people who make your food!" I said this was delivery from a local place, right? She said "WELL, I work here!" I told her since she worked here and I am the customer that she needed to exercise a more of a positive customer service attitude. She said "I do not need to do anything (at this point the manager started walking over) and NOW you can talk to the manager!" Then turns to the manger and says "You can DEAL with them THEY’RE BEING RUDE TO ME!" We are moving and wearing workout clothing. I just didn't feel comfortable sitting in the dinning area since our clothing boxes haven't arrived yet. The manager, Tye, was extremely nice and told her that if the guests are more comfortable eating from those plates in their room then there should be no issue. My goodness. I honestly cannot even believe her attitude. She literally treated me like I was a homeless person that came to steal their food! I feel mortified and now have to see her for the next month at breakfast and SNACK time. I hate confrontation and am so completely embarrassed. My poor little nine year old said "I'm sorry she was mean Mommy" so now I feel worse. *Sorry for the play by play and grammatical errors. I'm quite upset.*

Springhill Suites in Deadwood is where I stay when looking for an overnight experience for myself and also where I recommend to visitors of historic Deadwood. The rooms are of very high quality: affordable, new, and pleasing to any guest of exceptional taste. The staff is obliging without being obsequious and adds a personal touch not or reserved for any one specific group. The amenities are great for business and personal use. They provide an atmosphere of welcome and environment comfortable to anyone.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Our rooms were full of dust, mirrors and tv had smear marks everywhere. The staff were very unprofessional!!!! I have never seen anything like it, the front desk lady, that was suppose to be called a supervisor was the most rude, unprofessional and looked like she just rolled out of bed!! I have been to many Marriott properties and never, have I been treated this way. Their housekeeping staff were awful! Definitely do not pick this property, there are many wonderful places to stay in Deadwood that are cleaner and the staff is very polite and courteous which Springhill suites is NOT!!!! The cost of these rooms are ridiculous and they have hidden cost that they don't even tell you about!

Great location and easy to get anywhere in the city. The room I had was large with a living area, dining area and separate room on the corner of the floor so I had a great view of the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating as well. I had no complaints with the exception of room lighting. It was far too dim for my taste and considering it's Seattle where you get more cloud cover than the average city I was surprised at the lighting. Not terrible where I couldn't see but it lacked energy and made me feel like it was constantly dusk. The Bistro downstairs is awesome. Good food!

The lobby was really nice and looked like it had been well-kept. The room however was a different story. The rooms look like they haven't been updated for a decade and the bathroom was just plain dirty bad run-down. There was a dark ring around the tub, discoloration on the ceiling and wall (mold?), several shower curtain rings were rusty and the shower curtain detached. I would expect this from a Motel 6, but when I paid more than $200 for a night here, I expect quality and a clean room at the very least. As a business traveler, I have stayed in many Marriotts and this is by far, overall, the least maintained AND most expensive. Otherwise: Close to Riverwalk. $35 parking fee. Also you must pay for wifi.

This isn't the nicest Marriott hotel owned of course, its getting a little old but what I love about Marriott and their hotels is that it is always clean! But the main reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the management! I've made my check out times later because I am a silver member and for the last 3 hotels, I've had the cleaning knock on my door at 9am. Once I mentioned this to management (I wasn't even going to bring it up, they asked), the immediately apologized for the problem and gave me extra points! I can't believe how sweet that was and that they did that for me! I don't remember the name of the guy that did it, but he was awesome and I hope Marriott knows how wonderful he is! :)

Hotel fills a need more than anything. We were in transition moving to Charlotte and needed a place to stay while our new construction home was being completed. We had 2 dogs so staying here was primarily due to being able to have both of them in the room with us (45lb and 65lb dogs). Our room was adequate but nothing spectacular. Rarely was it cleaned even when we had the dogs away. Weak flush on the toilet too. The biggest problem is the noise. This hotel attracts what I would call seasonal workers from the north. These folks seem to work all hours and tend to all smoke as well. The doors are constantly opening and slamming shut. We had to move rooms after our first day because our room was right next to the entry door (room 130). While I am sure these people are nice, their level of consideration for others seems pretty low. Work out room is a joke. 2 treadmills and an elliptical. The area is decent though with amenities pretty close (Publix, Starbucks, etc). Overall, wouldn't stay here if we didn't have to.

We were VERY disappointed with our room. We booked online, with special instructions that reserved a crib for our room. We checked in late, and the front desk clerk was not polite, or helpful in any way. When we asked about the crib, she was very hateful and acted like we had inconvenienced her. We were asked to pay a $20 fee, which wasn't a big deal except you should be made aware of that fee when you book online. We were very disappointed with our room, that was covered in cob webs....stains on our curtains, as well as someone failing to clean the nose mucous that was placed on the curtains. When you pay $150.00 for a hotel for ONE night, you would expect to be treated politely, and to be able to sleep in a clean room. We will NEVER stay in the Courtyard Indianapolis Castleton!

I stay in hotels (primarily Marriott properties) 50-60 nights a year for business and have stayed at this location several times. The staff is always very professional and I have an instance where they went above & beyond for me. I had a reservation at another Indy area hotel but asked if the reservation could be switched same day to the Castleton location. Brian- the night front desk manager was able to seamlessly make this change for me which was very comforting after 10 hours on the road. The next day we left & I forgot my sonicare. Taylor in housekeeping fedexed it to me within two days. I Had a rough couple of days but the hotel staff made my stay a very pleasant one!

Clean & up to date rooms. My room had a fridge and nice long desk. A lot of open space in the back of the room. Favorite part of the room was having a sliding glass back door to the courtyard. (our room was first floor). 1 mile away from the capitol :)

My wife and I stayed June 5th through 7th, 2015. On the way, driving through that section of Rye, with its industrial look, cheap strip malls, poor housing, and laundromats with fat women and their children on the sidewalk, I feared the worst. Fortunately, after all that, we found the Courtyard to be an oasis. Outside, the grounds were beautifully kept. Unfortunately, parking is barely adequate. Two (unused) electric car recharging stations take up 3 of the best spaces, and unless you luck out, you will park 100 yards from the entrance. The door to the pool area doesn't close properly. The "keys," often a problem, worked perfectly. The hallway carpeting, with weird, African-style stripes, was not to my liking. The rooms had shortcomings. I prefer overhead lighting, but instead there were area lamps, converted to fluorescent, which threw out little light. The TV channels changed slowly. The dial on the iron was illegible. The waste baskets were too small. The bathroom was the worst part of the suite. The lighting was inadequate for putting on make-up. There was no carpet to step on when exiting the shower. The shower head wouldn't stay where it was directed. There was no shelf for shampoo, etc. There was no vent, generally required by building code. There was no heat lamp, or the equivalent, to take the chill off, coming out of the shower. Still, with its cleanliness, the TV, the fridge, the coffee maker, the iron and ironing board, a perfectly functioning heater/AC unit, and the wi-fi, the suite was adequate. To make up for some shortcomings, there was an outstanding staff, from LaShanda, Sean and others at the front desk, the custodial staff and the maids. All were super friendly and helpful. They are all "keepers."

Phenomenal experience from start to finish with this hotel. Upon my arrival, I was quickly helped with my bags and prompted checked in with the mobile app. I was given my keys and helped to my room. Nicely renovated hotel with helpful staff. Priceline had messed up our reservations and amenities and the hotel staff made the extra effort to correct/assist without us having to go through Priceline phone tag. Won't use Priceline ever again, but will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

Our stay at the hotel has been decent. The bed is comfortable, the room clean. It seems really fancy on the outside but the inside of our room is just okay. It might be because we got put in a handicap room but I've had better at the Hampton. I figure the price tag is due to the location.

marriott.com
3
@

The only negative was that the room wasn't anything special. For the price I thought we'd at least have a more interesting bathroom. Perhaps it was the handicap accessible room we were put in, but the shower head was the rather inelegant detachable style that didn't make for the best showers. Everything else was great. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. All staff including those we didn't directly interface with were friendly and pleasant to be around. We had a great experience and would visit again.

This is a great hotel. We spent 2 nights here. The pool has a water slide that isn't attached to the main pool, making it open during all regular pool hours. My kids loved it! The breakfast area is "part of " the main lobby area so it's very open concept. The breakfast food was great. The hot foods include eggs and sausage. There's also a waffle maker. They have 24 hour coffee and tea available in near by. The front desk had a large jug of lemon water that was actually delicious. It was simple but I loved it, even taking some in a water bottle with me for the day's activities. Like most things NB, this hotel is completely bilingual. If I had anything negative to say, the pool area does run out of towels quickly (which front desk will replenish but I had to notify them on two separate occasions); minor detail. The beds were comfy and I'd feel well rested in the morning. Very nice place to stay.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and rooms are very modern and nicely decorated, which still has that "new room" smell to them, which i would gather means it was recently renovated. Although this was a nice hotel overall, my main complaint was noise. We stayed in room 207 and could hear everyone screaming and playing in the room below us the entire time as if the floors were made out of paper, the noise stopped however at 10pm when pool closed. We have a three year old who's bed time is well before 10pm, so getting her to sleep was challenging, and it was too late to move rooms. The bathrooms also seem to share vents with neighboring rooms, as i could hear others talking clearly as if they were in the bathroom with me.

Overall nice and clean hotel.. However rooms are not very sound proof could hear other people hollering and running around as well as another review said when in the bathrooms you can hear people as if there in there with you.. I recommend not leaving anything you intend to keep out in the open, left some reciepts stacked nicely and tri folded in a piece of paper on the desk only to come to find they have been thrown out? requiring these for business purposes makes this very upsetting, should not be tossing personal items like this they were obviously not in the garbage for a reason and were neatly stacked for that reason as well, hotel management said nothing... Basically shrugged us off.. Will not be returning to this establishment again.

Nice rooms and clean. Very pro front desk staff. But... No fan in bathroom (or broken). No movie channel or pay per view on TV. Just local cable. Internet connection speeds are horrible. After my daughter couldn't watch a movie on TV she tried Netflix on her laptop and the connection was too slow to allow. I tested it after and it was under 5 Mbps. Dial up speeds. When I checked in the woman at the check-in counter was too busy eating a cheeseburger right on her key board to really put forth much effort in helping me. She even seemed annoyed that I arrived and interrupted her snack. Then, there seemed to be a mix up on whether I was redeeming my points or paying with a credit card. Again woman at counter just wanted to return to eating her cheeseburger so was of little help. Told me to I had to call a reservation number. Only to have them tell me it was my fault, I reserved my room wrong and that I had to call a different number in the morning. Finally got up to the room, the refrigerator was broken. Not good considering I'm a mom to an infant and breastfeeding. I need to keep the milk cold. Went to find the ice machine. However there was no signage for it on my floor. Tried calling the front desk for help, no one answered. Called three times in a 7 minute period before the woman at the check-in answered. Found out the ice machine was on a different floor. Called the customer service line first thing in the morning as I was told to. Was put on hold for 17 minutes. Finally hung up, called back, and eventually got some help. But I am still waiting for my credit card to be refunded and my points to be used instead.

Yesterday I left a two-way radio on the desk in my room. When I got back it was gone. I've had to do all the calling because neither Jason the general manager or Katrina the front office manager has called me back. This place would have gotten a good review from me except for one reason: they called me on my hotel phone TO SELL ME STUFF. To make it worse, I was only in town for 12 hours. I got there at noon. My only job was to sleep as much as possible so I could fly an airplane from NV back to NJ that night at midnight. So just as I had fallen asleep for my afternoon nap, the concierge called to wake me up and sell vacation packages. I was unable to fall back asleep, and, suffice it to say, had a hell of a time staying awake whilst bombing across the country at 39,000 feet. Thanks for that Marriott, you made this world a slightly more dangerous place that day.

Courtyard is great overall as with most 3 star hotels. The only thing is that parking is pretty expensive ($34 valet, $18 self-parking which is far) and inconvenient. There's no breakfast and you have to purchase water from the market place, so the expenses add up.

Not really sure where to start.. Fire alarm was set off, people were smoking in all the hallways.. Staff complained about working conditions as soon as we arrived. Lobby was -20 degrees, I guess they're too cheap to heat the lobby durning our winter. The hot tub was vomited in so it was not open, when I asked if maintenance was going to drain, clean and refill I was told we could go next door to use there facilities but couldn't switch hotels.. The king bed was not actually a king but a queen. Our room wasn't cleaned fully when we checked in, ice bucket still had old water and ice in it.. Thank god I was with good company and able to laugh it all off but we won't be coming back here. Hilton Garden inn was much nicer and its across the street. Also the breakfast that's included was roasted hot dogs and mushy potatoes.. Nasty. This hotel was brutal.

We were on the 6th floor oposited side from the highway. LOTS of noise all night from the highway. Bedside alarm clock is a ipod dock which is great but it glows blue so bright I could see it through my eyelids at night. Had to turn it upside down to get the light to fo away. Sliding doors to the bathrooms are loud and only frosted. At the foot of the bed the light was very bright when the bathroom used in the middle of the night. Clean room with lots of space. The cheapness of the hotel management is evident. Within seconds after The breakfast buffet time ends they manage to put everything out of reach of customers, no courtesy, no announcement for the customers already present in the dining area. I turn around to get some juice and the breakfast vanished! Two stars because the pool is nice and the room design/colors are nice. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, (even in rooms designed for 4 people). I stayed in room 307,!it appears that the thermostat was set to go up/down automatically no matter what was set before going to bed. Check out is at 12 but the cleaning staff Knocked at 11am to hurry us along! They shouldn't be knocking at all when the check in is written as 4pm and check out is at 12. Wifi won't work if u r too close to the exit door, forget it if u step out to get some fresh air. 3star hotels with no star treatment. This is the most ridiculous hotel I've stayed in over all the three to four Marriott in Toronto. We had to check out early due to unforeseenable events. We were told beforehand that a minimum stay of two nights is necessary. However, no early cancellation was required. We stayed for Thursday and Friday nights, and were going to check out for Saturday. The front desk refused our check out. The acting manager, last name Gia or something along that line refused as well. We asked to talk to the general manager Kevin Davison, and the acting manager refused to call the general manager. We tried to call the manager and were unable to reach him. The front desk keeps on saying that she is trying to resolve the issue. When asked how is she doing that? She answers, I can listen. Really?! This ridiculous in every way. Especially how we are refused proper channels in resolving issues.

This was an excellent hotel. I have had some bad experiences with hotels in Montreal but I am happy to say that this is not one of them. The hotel is conveniently located and provides easy nearby access (walking distance) to some bars, restaurants and a cinema. You are welcomed when you enter the hotel lobby by friendly staff and the checkin is easy and smooth. The rooms are great too being spacious, clean, well presented and quiet. The bed is comfy and provides for a good nights sleep. Breakfast is served downstairs and is plentiful with a great selection from warm and cold, savoury and sweet selections so you are bound to find something that you like or, as it was in my case, try something new and find it very delicious. Suite style rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast included hot items like bacon and eggs and a waffle station, which is always a nice touch. Staff is friendly enough, and you can easily access the (fairly delicious) restaurant at the courtyard inn next door via an internal door. Wifi worked very well. HORRIBLE SERVICE As I was checking out, I was venting to the front desk lady about how horrible our stay was and all she had to say was "Oh sorry to hear that". You would think they would be a little more sympathetic considering this was not my first stay there. I was travelling with two small children and our nights stay was affected by a time set-back of an hour. At 11AM we were using the pool facilities thinking we had ample time, when the sassy front-desk lady came into the pool area to tell us that they needed to strip our room since it was already noon. Why was I not warned of this time change upon check in? or reminded since it affected the length of time of our stay. Nevermind how you have to call downstairs for every little thing and they expect you to tip them?!?!?! I called for toothbrushes and they only brought me toothbrushes, I had to call AGAIN for them to send up toothpaste. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!! The room was so basic, no robes, no slippers, no water, no juice in the room, had to call for that as well. They rushed us out of the room after that, even though they saw I had two small children and needed to shower them after using the chlorine pool. At one point I noticed my girls playing with some disgusting old ladies' slippers that they found under our bed - GROSSSSSS And after venting to the front desk concierge about all these issues, all she had to say was "Sorry to hear about that", and charged us the full price of our rstay - no hospitality whatsoever from this place.

I visit Sudbury once a month for work and have been staying over at both the Radisson and Best Western downtown. Both places have left me drastically disappointed by the lack of service and cleanliness. It took me two years to have finally made a switch and thankfully this place exceeds my expectations. Thank you Lisa and all the staff here at TownPlace for making my stay comfortable. Looking forward to checking in every month!

This is an excellent hotel facility especially for long term stay. Its location is excellent being very close to every conceivable shopping.Full breakfast is included in the room price. There is a gym and a nice swimming pool. Laundry facilities are located conveniently on the main floor. 100% of the staff are extremely courteous, helpful and accomodating. Just amazing to experience this. Just one complaint, that was precipitated today. Eastlink came in and took out all their set top boxes. We still have full cable service, but the ability to access the programme guide to see what programme the different channels are offering for the day has been eliminated! This is a major deficiency, they have intoduced into the ability of guests to access the TV programmes offered for the day. I talked to the East link technician and he said that the company wanted to remove all the individual set top boxes and replace the cable remote, that had the TV programme listing with the TV remote that has no program guide. This a serious set back and needs to be corrected.

I attended for a business meeting and the meeting room we were in was clean and well laid out. There was complimentary water at the tables and coffee and tea set up in the back. There was an overhead projector in the room and all the technology worked. I would attend again based on my experiences.

I was only at this Fairfield Inn for one night, but it was enough time to get a strong impression. There was a problem with my reservation, which turned out not to be a problem at all. Megan, who was working the desk, picked up on my stress from dealing with road construction all day and quickly set me up. She couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. On a short trip like this, I don't need much, just a quiet, clean room. This room was that and more. Plenty of room, with a separate table by the coffee maker and refrigerator (away from the desk)-great if you're staying a couple days. The breakfast was better than most hotels offer and the staff member handling the room was making sure everyone was taken care of. If you're staying longer, the location is terrific-walking distance to Wegman's (a terrific grocery store) and shopping. If work brings me back to the Syracuse area I'll definitely stay at this Fairfield Inn again. I recommend it to anyone coming through.

The location of this hotel was perfect for us. Other than that, there was nothing else perfect about it. The room was dated, the shower handle very loose, towels were worn, the beds small and the fan squeaked all night like a mouse. Upon telling the front desk about the noise that made it difficult to get a good night sleep, they simply replied they would have maintenance look at it. Breakfast was included and had the usual cold assortment-yogurt, cereal, fruit, bread, and an abundance of blueberry muffins. There was one waffle maker, pan of eggs and sausage. Compared to other Marriott brand hotels I've stayed at, the breakfast was on the lower end. All in all, our stay served our purpose and the location was excellent.

The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel was great. I was so pleased with our stay last year I decided to book an Executive Suite. This was my second year staying there for Phoenix Comicon. Unfortunately, we had trouble due to a water leak in the room above us. They told me that they had to switch the entire bed causeit got wet. They never got around to it, so they gave me another single room with on King bed and allowed me to have both. The second day, I asked the front desk when they wanted me out of the other room and when they would change the wet bed. After they told me they would get back to me, I called again later that afternoon and they lady told me they were not able to change the beds right now and they would open the extending Suite area of the second room. They did not charge me for the extra Executive Suite, however, I wish that they would have given me the entire other Suite to begin with the first day. We would have switch Suites before we got settled for the night. I was the one handling the amenities for my group and had to deal with this instead of enjoying the Con. I still plan on booking another Suite for next year. I hope it goes well next year.

My stay was during PHXCC2016. The hotel was nice and spacious (we had a two doubles room). The service was a little slow but it was expected for the amount of people there. I feel that it was a little pricey for what we got, and we had things we didn't need but had to pay for, like $27/night valet parking. From what I've heard from other con-goers, I will probably stay at the Hyatt next door instead (much higher quality for not much more), or stay at the Hilton a few miles away (same quality but cheaper).

Stayed at the hotel for Phoenix comicon. Room was nice enough. Had the slight funk of a high school gym, little BO. Staff was accommodating and helpful even though they were being overrun by nerds. They unfortunately lost one of our roommates luggage while it was being stored after checkout, slight downside to 100s of geeks checking bags on Sunday before the convention is over. Also had issues with staff not reading notes on the account and trying to charge my roommates for the deposit after I had paid it already. Life happens.

The first impression of the hotel was very positive, upscale and well kept. But I found food and wine glasses on the floors and they were not cleaned up over a day. I still have a day left in the stay and will update the review later with my final impressions.

One of the better hotels in the area. I only stayed the night and had to be up early. Check in was a breeze and the host was very helpful with information and getting us to the airport via their shuttle. You share it with others right inb the area so make sure they put you on the list. It leaves every half hour. Rooms were what you would expect in a higher end hotel. Beds and linens where very nice. Clean. I wasn't able to use any amenities but they have many. I travel to Denver often and plan on staying here again.

If you have stayed at other Marriott vacation clubs, this one will let you down IF you are staying in winter. Hallways are open, so a trip to and from the main lodge can be extremely chilly. The indoor pool is very cold and the "kiddy pool" is nothing to be impressed by. The resort charges an extra fee to have towels replaced (not an inconvenience if you are staying for a weekend but a bit troublesome if you are staying an entire week.) Walls are not very sound proof and studio villa is smaller than an average hotel room which makes getting a good night sleep for a family of 3 challenging. The view from hotel room was small and nothing spectacular. Staff is polite, the building is central to all major attractions in Branson, and there are many on site activities but overall not worth it.

Mid/luxury prices, mediocre value. First, the positive: - Marriott Gold status gets one exec lounge privileges. Lounge is decent, with nice views, lots of seating, some tasty nibbles like fried chicken (though far from gourmet food). - AC in room works well. - Nice adjustable office desk chair in room Now the not-so-good: - No bathrobe in room - Tacky envelope begging customers to tip the housekeeping. Marriott... pay your employees a living wage; that is YOUR job, especially when your guests are regularly paying >$300 PER NIGHT. Heck, charge $305 or whatever and take care of your staff, please.

A large, well-presented hotel with excellent location: the Kendall Square subway station is right outside the door. I stayed here for 10 days - the hotel is nice and well kept, overall a fairly standard business travel hotel. The gym is small but usually not crowded, the pool is a little small, but nice and usable. The one thing that makes this hotel a better than average choice is the location. It sits literally directly on top of the Kendall/MIT station on the T's Red Line, so it's as easy as possible to get anywhere in the city quickly and conveniently - 5 minutes to MIT or Harvard, 10-15 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to the North End and all of the touristy spots. You couldn't ask for a better location if you're planning to explore around Boston and Cambridge.

Exceptional customer service. Very friendly front desk. Rooms were great, though could have used somewhere to put clothing on inside the shower area. We attended a corporate party. The facility was nice enough. The bartenders were friendly, and the drinks were good. The food catered by the hotel was mediocre. The salmon was a brick, we were served fairly grisly pot roast, the lentil soup was bland, and dessert was an apple-peach cobbler. Not apple or peach cobbler, but both in one. Who does that? Everyone was instead cobbling together dessert from the chocolate sauce and cookie straws meant for the coffee. We actually ended up sliding over to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert afterwards. Like I said, the ballroom itself was very elegant, but the hotel catered food left much to be desired. This was a new venue for this event, and based on responses from others in our group, it sounded like we weren't the only ones who felt this way.

We were in town for a Black Hawks vs Redwings hockey match when we visited The Baronette the other day and, while we weren't there long, we had an excellent stay. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the linens smelled like Downy, a real nice touch. My wife and I are well travelled as well as health conscious. We cook a lot of gourmet food at home, so could be described as “foodies”. The Toasted Oak restaurant was outstanding. The sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine which paired perfectly with both our entrees; I had the venison, and it was superb. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating; we would definitely stay here again!

I've only stayed here once, however, I was extremely pleased with the whole experience. The hotel itself is very extremely clean, shiny, and new, and the staff were quite pleasant, though formal. The hotel is in great walking distance to Southpark mall and restaurants and has an outdoor pool with a nice outdoor seating area. I ate the breakfast buffet at their onsite restaurant and was pretty impressed --it had a wonderful variety of foods. If you're looking for a place that is slightly cheaper, and more kid-friendly, I'd look at the Renaissance across the street; however, if you don't have children and want something a bit more formal, this is a great spot.

The "king bed" room is pretty big but the shower room is kind of cramped and doesn't even has a curtain so it's quite cold inside. We actually choose this hotel, Residence Inn, for the rooms having a kitchen, since we were looking for an extended stay. Unfortunately, a cooking surface in the room we've got had only one working knob out of two. And there was no oven at all, so if you're planning a long stay here, be careful while choosing food to cook: don't buy ones for "oven only". And there was no grinder in the kitchen sink, so you'll have extra trash accumulating. Not exactly like a kitchen in other Residence Inns we used to stay in US. On the good side, refrigerator and microwave oven were of a normal size, as usual. Wifi here is free and you can connect up to 5 devices to it using your room number and last name. I personally prefer wired connection for its stability and this hotel provides such an option, which is very good. There is plenty of parking space in garage and it's $13/day if you stay for more than 5 days. Not the least expensive option in Kingston, but very convenient. The hot breakfast is complimentary and is pretty good. Monday to Wednesday there are complimentary "evening snacks" (I can't call it diner of course). The bar in hotel only serves wine and bottled beer, no liquor or tap beer. But it's OK if you don't mind step out the hotel and cross the street to the next bar. Hotel also has a pool in the basement (kids are loving it!), small fitness corner and saunas. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful! Our special thanks are to Katie, the manager. A small hint to future guests: you can earn extra 500 Marriott reward points per night if you put "Stay Green" sign on your door, which means you don't need room service next day.

My stay started off very well. I walked into the beautiful hotel and was greeted by their friendly staff. It pretty much went downhill from there. I booked a room with two queen beds for my cousin and I. When we reached our room, there was a glass of red wine smashed against our door with bits of glass blocking our entrance. When we finally opened the door, we were disheartened by the lone king bed inside. We trekked back downstairs and the hostess fixed our situation. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT SUGGEST USING THEIR VALET SERVICE!!! I can't be more clear about this!!! When my cousin and I dropped my car off, we were walking down the street and I heard what I thought sounded like my car being seemingly redlined. To my astonishment, it was indeed my car being driven by the valet ripping down the street. When I left the hotel, I got about 30 minutes away only to have my tire pressure sensor go off. I pulled into a gas station to check my tires and noticed a fist-sized dent and scratches over the front right tire. I called the hotel about this roughly 10 times over a month. Over that period they said they had lost my claim at one point and that's why it was taking so long. When I finally received a callback from their risk management department, they told me I should have read the disclaimer and because I left the hotel I didn't have a valid claim. Essentially, the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown called me a liar. I would stear clear of this hotel. If you do stay, avoid the $35/day valet charge and park your car yourself.

This hotel has the worst parking spaces available. There is a big parking lot on the back of the hotel, but the door access to its always chain locked. Today in the morning I went to use the spa, and it was locked at 7:30 am. The maintenance staff opened the door, and made his best effort to start running it, but with no luck. I really think this hotel is overrated in stars. Many guests had said that this hotel has just been renovated, but I see that some of their facilities are still old and non functioning as the spa itself. Rooms are nice and clean. Screen TV is kind of small. Everything else is great.

Horrible stay and experience at this hotel, I don't even know where to start. A group of friends and I came to the Waterford for a bachelorette weekend stay. We were in for a few surprises. Here are just a few: asked for an early check in at 11am and was finally let in at 3:30, stayed at this hotel for the pool- pool was under construction and it was never discussed when a call was made a week before or on the email confirmation, a supervisor was terribly rude and no help, requested more towels and pillows, it took 2 additional calls to get them, BUGS!!!- bugs everywhere, all of us woke up with bugs in our hair and bug bites, requested a late check out- was told that wasn't on our reservation. A manager listened to a few of the complaints (didn't want to hear them all), and gave us a small discount. Overall, I would NOT recommend this hotel. Save your money and find another place!

I'm here on business. My company booked my stay at this hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive, but there are some major issues I had. Parking is horrific. They have a parking lot on one side of the building that maybe fits 15 cars. No spaces are ever available there. The other parking lot is in an uncomfortable area beside the building and far enough away from the entrance to have to look over your shoulder the entire time you're walking in. This same parking area is where all their deliveries come in and though it's larger than their main parking lot, it is still extremely hard to find a spot. There were no spaces available on the Boulevard either. Eventually I had to park in handicap and let the front desk know. I drove around 6 times to try to find a spot.... Also, they are under construction right now. I work long days and leave early mornings before 7, so that didn't bother me since they do construction 8am-6pm. But today was my late day, which means I was able to sleep in... well, that didn't happen. Right at 8am, there was constant drilling into the two walls next to me. It's been going on for an hour and a half now and I'm not happy about it. On top of it all, I went to brush my teeth and the sink started spouting out an untasteful brownish color. I am now using water from water bottles because I am grossed out. I'm exhausted. I wish my company would have known about the construction so they wouldn't have put me in a place that brought me so much discomfort during my stay.

The staff at this hotel was amazing. They were so warm and welcoming when we arrived on Christmas eve. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location was great, very convenient to the office where I had my meeting. There are also several decent food options in walking distance. The room was clean and large and comfortable. The bed was nice and the pillows were excellent. Service was friendly. The concierge lounge was good; the food was on par with other Marriott properties. If I were coming back to this area again I would definitely stay here.

My girlfriend and I got a room here when we found out that the APA hotel had no more rooms and we were not disappointed at all. We should have looked at this place first. The staff service was excellent and the room was really nice. We got a room on the executive floor so I'm not sure about the other rooms. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area

Our stay was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and responsive to our needs and concerns. The fact that we were attending the New years party and having lots of gusts wondering around, I have to say that the attitude of the staff and the way they handeled the crowd was clearly super proffeasional. Our suit was clean and neat, they had a nice fruit and cheese tray with champaign ready for us. Will definitely choose it for my next stay.

Our room was upgraded to a much larger room due to the hotel hosting an event and many of the rooms being occupied by party-goers. I was in awe when I walked into our room. The view was breathtaking and the size was well over double our last room (which was just the weekend prior). The staff is always friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure guests needs and wants are taken care of. This has become our new favorite place to stay and I cannot wait to go back!!

This is the second year in a row that my wife and I stayed for New Years!!!! The Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful. They up graded our room again to a hospitality suite like they did last year, the fire works from our balcony were on awesome. We will be staying for Mardi Gras this year also....... I want to thank all the staff there, you all were so polite and very hospitable.

I went to the Marriot for the "8 of the best" college conference. I didn't stay at the hotel, so I didn't see the rooms or anything like that, but the workers were very helpful and kind when we were asking about where the conference was being held and the place was gorgeous. I was actually particularly impressed by the bathrooms of all things...it was amazing. Truly. But the room the conference was held in was huge and accomodating, and it was comfortable. Overall my experience was great.

I stayed one night at this Marriott while in town for the Marathon. It was such a pleasurable experience. The front desk were very accommodating to this crazy runner who brought all her own food. They brought a mini-fridge and a microwave to the room upon my request. Staff was very helpful in locating the business room, bathrooms and the ice machine. A friend had a sandwich and wine in the hotel bar which looked really good. Overall it was a fantastic stay with fantastic service.

If I have the option I will probably not stay here again. The only perk was it was walking distance to my current work location. Arrived the first night, they assigned me to a double queen room when I specifically asked for a king bed. They also said that my reservation was for only a night when it was for 2 weeks. Their hotel staff are rude and come off like you are bothering them. Loud hotel especially on the weekends. Front desk staff is sub par. I asked if they will charge me for long distance when calling a 773 area code, the guy basically said it is not a Chicago area code.... I'm assuming he is not from the area at all. Next time I will probably opt to staying in another hotel.

I visited the Marriott of Schaumburg for brunch with my best friend, mom and my son. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing and the staff was extremely helpful. I do not eat pork or beef and prefer pancakes to waffles. Needless to say, none of my specifications were on the buffet this day but the manager and staff so assured that I was accommodated for no extra charge. I will definitely visit this hotel again and just might get a room next time. Keep up the awesome work and attention to deal Marriott!

Arrived late and had some issues with the room assignment. Took a little to fix, but Jonathan, the manager on duty at the time, took care of it. While mistakes happen, it is how they are responded to that matters. Jonathan more than made the situation right and I will absolutely be staying here again. Rooms are typical Marriott rooms. They aren't huge, but very clean and comfortable. Ate in the bar when I arrived and the meal was fresh and hot, even though it was 11:45pm.

Very nice room, bed, and bathroom. Everything you expect from a nice Marriott. My ONLY complain is that the TVs desperately need to be updated. Plugging in an hdmi pits the TV in PIP, not full-screen and the sounds from cable still plays.

If you are planning a wedding =, stay away from this place. Stay away from Marriott in general. Had my wedding reception held in this location. It was all planned smoothly until the catering manager quit and I had to deal with new manager few weeks before my wedding. Let just say that everything went downhill from there, it was an added stress. Lot of things that was suppose to b done and assured by previous manager were not honored by the new manager, end up paying more than what were suppose to. NO points were added to my reward card, called customer service and was put on hold for an hour, someone answered and put me back on hold I end up just hanging up without speaking the issue. That tells you how bad the customer service for this company.

The hotel is well kept for the most part. I feel the room carpet should be cleaned better. The carpet felt dusty under the feet. I have also seen a cockroach in my bathroom once. Upon notifying the front desk they were very apologetic about the incident. They compensated me with points for one day's worth. Otherwise, the staff is very nice.

Our friends and us were staying a weekend at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel. We reserve the same weekend each year for swimming championships. We will NEVER return. Friends of ours advised us of their bad experience last year and 22 families stayed elsewhere because of this. We are frequent travelers and have over 8 months worth of night stays at the Marriott chain just in the past 22 months alone. We are not "rookies" to travel for sure. We were playing a game with our young children and the parents. When each child would win, we would quickly cheer for them! This was all occurring before 10pm on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, our friends had a knock on their suite door from security removing us from their room. No warning. No nothing. We were advised that this was their "policy" and their next step was to "evict us, and do we know what that means?". 1) we are all master's or doctorate level professionals. We are all quite versed in the English language. Please don't speak down to us like children. 2) if there was a noise concern, please call us and advise us of your concern. Our children were in tears due to the gruff nature of the confrontation, and we would have happily cheered for our children quieter if that was brought to our attention in a more professional way, or frankly even at all. We have NEVER in our hundreds of nights of staying at any hotel been addressed by security as being told to evacuate a room due to our noise. As professionals, we would NEVER raise the volume to any sort of intolerable level as we would not appreciate the same occurring to us. We are disappointed in this hotel, how we were treated, and when management was contacted, we were treated poorly at best. Please, take caution, if you are staying at this establishment with children, you will be treated as if your mother is establishing a curfew for you at 7:30pm. Please book with caution. The rooms do not have individual heat. We were offered a space heater, but then told they were all out. We could have a blanket or open the window to the atrium side. We have young children and were staying on the 9th floor. Not only is that horrible dangerous, but the noise level with the window shut was so loud, none of us could sleep... let alone with an open window. The restaurant was overpriced, charging me $22 for a dish of Ramen noodles and 4 cubes of beef. When I asked the waitress what one of the items was on the dish, she didn't have a clue and did not offer to go to the kitchen and ask. It was not an appealing item, hence why asking. The night manager was condescending and rude... And if you are looking for any food after 10:30pm, there are zero options within the hotel. There are vagrants around the entrance to the hotel and police presence is the most obvious thing you notice in the area. We will NEVER stay here again...

For the price, you're better off exploring your options elsewhere. I travel for business every week and stay at Marriotts fairly often (70+ nights last year). By far this has been the most disappointing. Rooms are small and don't even offer the basics (like a refrigerator or coffee pot). We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and we got 1 king size and a cot that was pretty uncomfortable even for a 8 year old boy. You can't control the temperature in your room. There's only a cooling unit, so during the winter you're at the mercy of whatever the hotel thinks is warm enough. I saw a couple of guests requesting space heaters, which to me is pretty lame if you're paying 300+ a night. The bathroom in the room was very dated...not in a charming way as you might think. Don't waste your time with the restaurant in the hotel. Service is slow and the food is pretty subpar. You're better off eating at one of the restaurants in the mall.

I stayed in this wonderful hotel during my transition from GA to IL. Me and my family stayed in this hotel for almost two weeks and the staff was wonderful to me and my family. Nick, Jeff, and the entire staff made sure to get to know me and my family and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They offered hot breakfast every morning. I was able to get my tea throughout the day, because they made sure the hot water was filled. I would suggest that anyone travelling to the Joliet, IL area stay here, it is conveniently located to the Joliet mall and plenty of restaurants and other shops. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. Go see for yourself.

we stayed here January 24 and 25. We book this in advance for a king size suite . When we arrived we were put in a handicap room . We complained and said sorry this is all we have . Bed was ok however the shower had no room in it . It has some large bars that fold down which gives no room to shower in . Plus the bar doesn't stay up . So I tried to shower but there was no hot water . We went to the front desk and the lady up front was not very helpful . We had to wait a very long time to be put in another room . We did not come here to hangout at the hotel . We finally get moved and showered so we could continue with our weekend trip . This set us back a lot of time . We asked for more towels to be sent to the room as we had used them already . when we get back no towels . I call and ask and it was a big inconvenience to have towels sent up so I had to go and get them . At 10 pm my wife was cold and asked for another blanket , the front desk girl was rude and said come here and get it . Fine we go downstairs and there were 3 guys siting on the couch facing the counter drinking beer and she only seem interested in engaging with them . Sunday Morning I asked for the manager and I was told there is no one available. I asked for phone numbers , email addresses and she refused to give me any contact information . I filled out a survey and asked for the manager to call me . Well I get Joshua . He said it is impossible for a single room to have no hot water . Joshua you need to learn some maintenance skills , every room has its own water controls . He didn't care about any of my concerns . He said HEY you got a room so what's the problem ???? really . He was ok with me waiting around for a new room so we could shower . He was also ok with the front desk staff . I can not believe that the Marriott would have staff like this working there , especially the Manager Stay anywhere but here

Worst experience by far. We had a standard room with king bed and sofa bed. The rooms are dated and ridiculously tight. The sofabed had blonde hair all over it. We had an infant and since sofabed was dirty we asked for crib. They sent a playpen with mattress almost on the ground. They had no solution and would not refund the first night 2 hours in (no other rooms available). We got the heck out 2nd night and rented Renaissance which we by far are having the best experience and service. Location is great but rooms are soooo not worth it. You guys should have refunded 1st night to avoid this horrible review and the experience we had to go through.

Blocked 15 rooms for guests attending my daughter's wedding. Also hosted brunch for 55 the following morning.. hotel event planner marie-eve was a pleasure to deal with. Room was sufficient and clean. The day before the wedding we dropped off gift bags for our guests to receive at check in or dropped in room. The people at reception at the time promised to deliver to our guests. This was not done until I followed up when I checked in. The weekend manager had attitude with me when I showed my dissatisfaction. She went on about a $2.50 delivery charge that we had not been told about and should not have been mentioned as the bags were not delivered. This caused me unnecessary stress an hour prior to my daughter going down the aisle that I had to try to let go. The bags were delivered finally and there was no charge made. Unprofessional and unethical management. We were negotiating a room block with the hotel and less than 24 hrs after they submitted their bid (which was valid for 7 days), they refused to honor the price they had set with us. I spoke to the hotel general manager about the situation, and she brushed us off with the explanation that it was a busy weekend so essentially they were going to try to make as much money as they could. I would absolutely not recommend working with this hotel or chain as they clearly do not abide by ethical or business standards.

Horrible..horrible.!!. Arrived with friends only to find that staff could not find my reservation. Room smelled of dirty wet carpet, bar fridge was not on, sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and hotel did not provide extra sheets, blankets or pillows for pull out sofa. I was told that I should have called down to the desk for these items, however the reservation clearly indicated that there would be 3 adults staying in a room that had one king sized bed and one pull out sofa bed. The staff should have known that extra pillows and blankets were needed. The manager Dominique indicated to me that I should have complained at the time.. However we arrived back to the room at a very late time and assumed that like any decent hotel these items would have readily been available. On the day of our departure we asked if we could put our luggage in my vehicle, allowing us to further visit the city. We we're told that we needed to walk outside of the hotel and around the corner while carrying our heavy suitcases and parcels down to the 2nd level of the parking garage. This turned out to be an extremely dangerous walk as we had to cautiously watch for any oncoming vehicles that were departing from the parking garage at that time. We were not asked if we needed any assistance to carry our luggage to the car but we did see minutes later that we could have easily taken the elevator to our vehicle without incurring any potential dangers. I have stayed at many hotels in Montreal but I have never stayed in one of this caliber. Upon speaking with the manager Dominique and telling her that $429 for a one night stay was an outrageous price for a room of this caliber, I was informed by her that it was too bad and that was that. Montreal has plenty of beautiful, accommodating hotels to visit, unfortunately this is not one of them.

The 22 of April 16 I was on. Lobby drinking a tea checking my email and making phone and video call. I was in. Quiet area, on a small table. I was coming regularly, meaning I was a customer coming and consuming many time. But this morning a guy named Josue Lopez, who is the " Guest services Manager" , as writing on his business card , ask me to leave the premise because:" I was drinking only a tea at 3$". I was surprise and ask him why. He say if I didn't leave he will call the police. The police !!! For a cup of tea at 3 boxes, which I already paid. I still have the receipt. He says he will wait for me. I say no as I was not willing to be around negative people like him. I took my computer and leave. All of this is true. BTW The company I work with use a lot the Marriott Hotel but this one is very bad. Marriott Ventura BAD. Don't go to the hotel event to drink a tea you will find yourself sleeping in the street.

If you bid on priceline for a room here you will almost always save a boatload. During the week offer 70 bucks for a three star hotel in Ventura and this is generally what you will get, the 'Crown Plaza' ; a hotel that barely is worth that but it's better then most others around this part of town. The rooms are tacky and falling apart but if you are up high enough above the air conditioning Plantation that stops on floor four there's a view of the pacific ocean that will make up for anything else that came up short.
