My boyfriend recently got his haircut here and came home completely lopsided. He has curly hair so I could see it being more of a challenge but seriously this was more of just a slight mistake. Prices are very cheap and they are fast but I don't think it's really worth it when you have to get your gf (who has never cut hair) to fix it when you get home!

Too hit or miss to be given any higher. As it stands I'm currently finishing up my buzz cut from yesterday after large portions of hair were missed; I certainly expect more from a $20-5 minute hair cut.

Supercuts is . . . not quite super.  It's OK though. My boyfriend has gotten some haircuts here and, I'll be honest, it's hit or miss with these guys.  If you need a quick cut, you might want to go to Supercuts because they are really quick.  But if there's a line, I would suggest going somewhere else.My boyfriend had one hairdresser there that was amazing.  She would cut his hair in 10 minutes and it would be perfect every time!  Unfortunately, she left though and they won't tell us where she went!So it really is hit or miss with these guys.  Sometimes the risk pays off, sometimes you walk out lopsided.  What can you do?!

I am terrified of haircuts. My boyfriend comes to this Supercuts often, and I was in desperate need of a haircut (it had been over a year... seriously). My hair was, at its longest point, down to my waist, and I was tired of the curly knots that would develop throughout the day.I wish I remember the woman who cut my hair, but she was a small Asian lady with a blue poof, and she worked magic. I told her I just wanted to dead ends off... and at first I was upset when I saw that she had disregarded what I had said and lobbed off my virtually-waist-length hair. It was up to my collarbone, and I would be lying if I said I didn't panic. I have had many a bad haircut, and I thought that this was going to be one of them. Then all of a sudden, my hair came back to life. There was a spring to the curls that hadn't been there for a long time, which was very exciting. She blow dried my hair out, and it still looks great. My hair has plenty of body, and she showed me what to do in order to style it both curly and straight. Will definitely be back...

If you don't mind looking like a fool this place is tolerable.Experience:Sometimes I think these people are blind or "challenged".  The first time I came here I actually got a refund.  I made the mistake of having the girl  cut my bangs.  Let me preface with I'm Asian and any mistake to my bangs makes it look like I just came off the boat.  Some girls can pull it off, but I certainly cannot.  Even after yelling at her to stop cutting she continued.  The second time I went back was less terrifying.  You might wonder why I went back.  I have a poor memory and I refuse to pay $30 for a trim a street over on Newbury.  I learned not to let them touch my bangs, but the second time the girl changed my part to trim my hair.  She said that was the only way she knows how to cut it.  So when I changed the part back to how I normally wear it it looked ridiculous.  Overall:Will I go back?   Probably since I don't believe in spending a lot of money on my hair.  If you do decide to come, be insistent on how it's done and pay attention, because they're not paying attention.

In a word: Helen! Sweet girl, but even more, she gives a great cut, and she always remembers you and what you want. I have been going to one Supercuts or another for a while now, but now I always go to the Back Bay store and to Helen. I know I will get just the cut I want and look great.

I liked my haircut. Descent haircut.  Everything was fine, the wait, the cut and the treatment. the only thing that was weird was that they asked for additional 10 dollars to dry my hair. when I arrived, my hair was dry so I expected leave as I entered. they sprayed water to my hair to make it wet to cut it but at the end I did not expect to leave the store with wet hair. I had a headache for the rest of the day b/c of not drying the hair.

My husband has been going here since we moved to the area about a year ago. I, on the other hand, tend to be very hesitant about trusting my hair to people. I find someone I like and stick with it. That said, since moving here, I'd only gotten my hair cut once, at the Salon on 10 Newbury Street, and while the cut was okay, I wasn't WOW'ed enough by it or the stylists to return. With summer in full swing, and me in desperate need of a shorter cut, I decided to try out Supercuts. I got there around noonish on a Saturday, and expected to have to wait a while, however, they were able to take me right away. The woman who took care of me was wonderful (I'm terrible at names though, I think it was "Jo-Jo" or something like that?), and I'm more pleased with the cut I got here than my last cut at The Salon, and for a better price (about $24, after leaving a 25% tip)!I would agree with the people that say get there early if you're going in on a weekend though. I think I just missed the rush, as the lobby seemed to be full of waiting customers when I paid and left.Another plus is that you can both pay and have tip added on your credit card/debit card. As someone who never carries cash, this is always a positive for me!

Hey man, for a Supercuts, this place is pretty darn good. I needed to trim my bangs, and the fella who did the trim did an excellent job -- not too easy to mess up a simple fringe trim, but hey, it's happened! Ten bucks and I was out the door. Bit of a wait, but that's to be expected in a traffic heavy spot like Boylston St.

Lola is the BEST! Not only was my "just a trim" exactly what I wanted, my eyebrows turned out SUPERB - I think I may be more excited about the eyebrow wax than the actual cut! Not to mention, the cut, blow dry and wax was only $35 with tip!The secret to Supercuts (or any discount/walk-in/chain salon) is to ask for less than you want because most often the stylist will go overboard. Ask for a 1/4 of an inch when you want 1/2, etc. and your bound to be satisfied.Sorry Newbury Street, I will only be visiting you twice a year for an overpriced "salon experience", other than that, Supercuts has my vote!

(At the risk of making the waits to see her even more legendary than they are) hands down, Helen is the best hairstylist I've ever had. Brilliant at her work and putting her best effort in each time (have been enjoying her work for years now--a fantastic track record for my temperamental hair!), there's no one I'd rather trust. The incredible price is icing on the cake. Thank you, Helen! Your art is much appreciated!!

I don't really expect much from supercuts to begin with, so the fact that I made the time to write a review should tell you how irritated I am.I got a haircut here on 10/22. The girl running the desk was one of the surliest people that I have encountered during my time in Boston. More importantly, the haircut that I received was the worst that I have ever been subjected to. What I requested: number three on the sides, blended up to a little more than finger length on top- typically with gel thrown in and slightly messy. What I got: Number three buzz cut with what appears to be a faded faux hawk on the top of my head. There was no time to react, the 'stylist' just dove in. This is going to take several haircuts to correct. @#*!.

Hallelujah, hallelujah!!!I was in desperate need of a trim and despite the very bad past experiences, I went to this location because of the convenience and low cost. That said, I hoped to find a new person to cut my hair as I would not have agreed to have my hair cut by the two people who butchered me here before. My prayers were answered and her name is Marisola!!! Marisola did a fantastic job!!! She was pleasant, focused on cutting the hair and giving direction which way to tilt my head, etc. The split ends are now gone and my hair looks better and fuller. I would definitely recommend her and I will be returning here in several weeks for another trim with Marisola. It was also inexpensive $15.95 (before tip).

I tend to go a long time between haircuts.  I know I need to go soon when people start asking me, "Are you in a band?" I know I need to go NOW when people start saying, "Can I help you, miss?"  So for me, it's pretty important a haircut be fairly good, or it's going to be a problem for a long time.  I've gone to this Supercuts a lot and it is, unfortunately, a little hit-or-miss.I've had some hair disasters here in Boston, not just at Supercuts.  I try to explain what I want, and I get resistance, confusion or fear.  Not because it's really extreme what I want--in fact, it's fairly basic--but because what I ask for seems so different from what I have when I walk in.  When I get a good haircut, I walk in looking like I should be playing for OK Go, and I walk out looking clean-cut enough to be a FBI agent.  Some hairstylists can't handle that, so I end up with choppy messes that grew into mullets, or massive cowlicks, or--as has happened more than once--looking like Bastian from the Neverending Story. Some of those disasters have happened at this Supercuts.  Sometimes, when I have had to try someone new it has turned out terrible.  However, some of the best cuts I've ever had were here, too.  Pam, who has left, used to give me exactly the cut I wanted every time.  Diana, who I believe is still there, gives me a very good cut every time.  She is never afraid to take off as much hair as I ask for, and always leaves it looking good.  It grows in just right, and I am always pleased with the job she does.  Some of the stylists here are not good at cutting men's hair, especially fairly thin hair like mine.  But some do a very good job, and I definitely recommend Diana.  One tip: if you can bring a photo of what you want, it'll help way more than any description you can give, and I have had much better results since I started bringing one in.

I went today for the first time and I am very happy with it. Before coming here I tried other cheap places in Boston but the service was terrible.I don't know the name of the girl who cut my hair but she was amazing. She was nice, polite and friendly and before cutting she checked with me the it was what I wanted.I'm not a big fun of hairdressers and I don't care that much about my hair so I'm looking for a cheap place and for $15.99 this is the best you can get in Boston. Give $3 tip so I ended up paying $20 but I would have paid also $30 because she was very professional. Again I don't know the name. She was about 30 years old, blond and very nice. You won't be disappointed?

So, I need a quick fix. Just to thin out my hair after getting a long bob haircut. I opted for Helen, since I've read so many great reviews on her. Also, I needed something really cheap, since I'm trying to restrain myself from spending too much for my summer vacation.Anyways, I DID NOT feel like I was at a Supercuts at all. She gave me so many tips on how to take care of my hair, and suggested what I should do to it, and walked me through with everything she was about to do to my head full of hair. She was so informative that I felt like I was at an upscale salon. After being very hesitant, felt at ease. She's great at what she does and I am so happy that I came here instead of spending loads of money at a different salon.

Desperate for a haircut today and since I'm new to the area, I was loathe to spend alot of money.  Found out that they can cut African American hair and made an appointment with Adriana the same day. She was excellent!!  Best $20 I've ever spent on a haircut and I will be seeing her every two weeks from now on!

This place is great.  Everyone I've had here cuts well.  I'm pretty particular about my haircuts even though I just get a fade. Also, went there last night, there was an hour long wait.  However, I used the Supercuts App to check in ahead of time.  I waited for not even 5 minutes and I was getting my haircut.  Not only that, the hair-cutters were taking there time with each client, giving good haircuts....not rushing them out the door because of the long wait.  Definitely recommend for a decent & cheap haircut!

Cheap, quick, decent haircuts. If you come in after work, expect to wait a bit. I've had a couple times when I haven't been thrilled with my haircut, but for  $16 + tip and no fuss, it's fine.

I was trying to cut my hair by myself, but I screwed up so much. So I went to here, and they fixed it pretty well. Can't complaint about anything. Everyone was friendly, so I believe you will have a good time while you are in there.

Dear Supercuts,It's over. You never destroyed my hair, which I appreciate, but the cost wasn't worth not liking my haircut for the first week to week and a half afterwards.  I like my hair now, in that it doesn't look like it was recently cut, or that it's a short thing that I can't do anything with.Sincerely,John

I have a favorite hair stylist here (that I will not name because I don't wanna share sorry haha). She does a great job every time I come in. I try and make an appointment whenever I can so I don't have to wait - it can get super busy sometimes. But even with appointments you still have to wait 5-10 mins sometimes. Still for a $20 haircut, you can't complain!

I'm going to give big props to Helen. She is a hair goddess. She has many years of experience and just by sitting in the chair with her for five minutes, you know you're in good hands. She's really sweet, knowledgable, quick, meticulous and understands how your hair works. Back in April, I went to her to get my hair dyed a certain brown color (single process) and she explained to me how it would turn out if I did it that way and what not. Said it would actually take many attempts to get it to the way it was in the picture. Anyways, I trusted her and she managed to get my hair color exactly how she described it (based on my skin tone and all that jazz) the very first time and I LOVED it. My manager from work actually gets her hair done by her and recommended Helen to me. When Helen found that out, she asked me if the shade of brown she does on my manager was what I wanted too, and I said yes. She explained the process thoroughly and she is very precise on the timing of the dye. Never have I been happier to find a hairdresser who I know will be consistent and caring about my own hair than I am myself. I went back recently to retouch on my roots that were coming out and chop my hair short and Helen did a great job. She was actually really busy with clients back to back (I'm not surprised) so the girl in front told me there would be a 30 minute wait. I told them I didn't mind anyone else doing my hair as long as they pulled up my color card that I remember Helen had written down for me, but I guess they couldn't find it and ended up making me wait for Helen anyway. Wish they told me though because I would've stepped out to grab a small snack at like Walgreens or coffee at DD; I was starving. All in all, it was so worth the wait!

I have never written a review on yelp before but my experience at supercuts on Boylston was just too good to not share.I usually have a fear of getting haircuts because a request for 2 inches cut off always ends up becoming 5 inches. But Adrianna was super careful with cutting my hair and clarified many times asking exactly how I wanted the haircut. The only strange part was that this was my first time getting a haircut standing up. But overall I am very happy with my haircut. And I will definitely be going back and requesting Adrianna again.

I have been coming here for several years as a friend recommended & I figured why not. I don't like to fuss over my hair or spend alot of money on it either. I like the fact that you can just walk in & get a haircut. I also find it funny that although I get a haircut 1 or 2x/yr, the same person has cut my hair a few times. Helen is great, sporting her purple streaked hair, she is my go to gal. She knows my hair better than me, which is awesome. I think it can be hit or miss w/ certain people cutting your hair. I don't want a newbie doing it, although it's hard to mess up my long hair. So go get your hair cut & save yourself some money by having them do it properly.

I came here tonight before my gymmy-gym workout, got a great haircut! I got my usual dry cut, and had layers added in.  The thought of paying more for a "fancypants haircut" is super unappealing.... I don't know how much I paid but I tipped 10 bux to the lady who cut my hair.Five Stars!  I love a great value!

I've been hesitant to write a review for Supercuts. I would love to be one of the many hip youngsters here who can afford to try out all the chic expensive places in the Back Bay area. And you know what? I actually have tried a few Newbury Street Salons over the years, and most of them were not worth the cost. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend this Supercuts.I've been coming here for years and have had consistently great experiences. Not only the cuts themselves, but the overall service. I would actually give it 5 stars, but it's not a red carpet treatment kind of place.Back in March I decided to finally get rid of my long hair and get a new do. I was lucky enough to get Helen that day, and she gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Seriously. I've been to her 2 more times since then, and she is just awesome. She also seems to be popular, because I've had to wait in line to get to see her, even when I have an appointment.I was afraid I'd jinx myself by writing this review, but you know what -- more people need to know that Supercuts is a good place. I have gotten countless compliments on my hair, and that didn't happen when I went to those fancy places on Newbury Street.

Honestly this place sucks, and its sad because Marisol (one of the hair stylists) is awesome. I've been going here for a while but it's just awful. The front desk and receptionists here are worse than any other place in any business i've ever been to. You call and ask how long the wait is and they tell you 10 minutes and then you get there and it's an hour+. Or you schedule a walk in time (not necessarily an appointment time) and then they tell you that they have someone in the seat right now but it will only be 10-15 minutes, turns out there are 1 or 2 more people ahead of you waiting but they ignore telling you this until you've been sitting for 20-30 minutes. I have no problem waiting 15, 20 or even 30 minutes sometimes but at least tell me i'm going to have to wait so I can decide whether I have the time or not. Dont lie to me and wait til I've already wasted 20-30 minutes of my day and then tell me it will be another 30 minutes. It literally happens 90% of the time I go there.I wouldnt care if I had all the time in the world but I specifically try and go here during my lunch break from work or after work before going to my 2nd job. This place has absolutely no respect for their customers time. And before you think about saying "dude its a $16 haircut, calm down" trust me that's what has been keeping me going there for a while along with Marisol being awesome but I've been burned multiple times where I was told it would be a 10-15 minutes wait turned into 45 minutes and then i didn't have time to get a haircut because I had to go back to work and basically used my only break in 10-12 hour work days sitting in a F'n salon staring at my cell phone. Just not worth the stress to go back here. If you are unemployed or for some reason have all the time in the world go to this place because Marisol is great and it's cheap, but if you have a job and limited time let alone 2 jobs, stay away. I will gladly pay an extra $5 for surrounding places to get treated w/ respect and not have to deal the incompetant people working the desk. The girl with the long hair does an ok job at the front desk but the other 2 that i've seen there are the worst employees i've ever seen. Then after they realize they just wasted an hour of your time they just shrug it off and go back to clicking/texting away on their cell phones.

This Supercuts really means business. There is a TON of talent here. The original reason I tried this place out is because my friend was sporting one of the most beautiful cuts I'd ever seen and recommended that I try it. I was a little hesitant because have a background in cosmetology and I'm incredibly specific about the sort of cut I want, and (like many of us) I have been butchered at salons before. My stylist was (and continues to be) Marisol and she is completely AMAZING. From wash to style, she is unbeatable. She has tons of experience and is extremely confident and competent at all she does. She is meticulous and takes her time, making sure you look absolutely perfect. Her blowouts are also incredible, and last days without frizzing out or going flat. Helen is also fabulous (and adorable), I've been to her for a trim a couple of times when Marisol was not available. For all this, it costs like $30. If you've ever frequented a Newbury street salon, you know what a deal $30 is for a full wash, cut, and blowdry. Definitely would recommend!

If my stylist Richard ever finds out that I betrayed him...and not even with another over-priced, high brow stylist from an equally upscale salon...but with someone from SuperCuts...I don't think he would ever deign to touch my glorious mane again. That being said...I am slightly, albeit relunctantly, impressed with the service. For $35.00 I received a shampoo, cut and blowdry. Sounds expensive to some, but compared with the $80.00 Richard charges me (and I love him, I do)...it's a huge savings. I think her name was Nan...it could have been Pam...she was fast, efficient, and didn't try anything fancy. I walked away with a trim and a really good-looking blow-out. Can't promise I'll return (I like my Newbury salon experience complete with wine and massages)...but with times like these...who knows!?

Clearly, you get what you pay for, and I should have known better than a $16.99 haircut. However, I was out running errands and decided to drop in for a quick trim. My hair is straight and very simple to cut; this was not a fancy request! The hairstylist  (who had purple hair) acted like she had never given a haircut before. Asked me to stand up during the cut, and then gave me a mirror to check out the back of my hair. It looked uneven! I told her, "It looks uneven to me, " and her response was, "Oh." No offer to remedy it; nothing. The girl at the counter never asked me how my service was. I pulled out my card to pay and she immediately asked about gratuity. I stated that my hair was uneven, and she again didn't apologize or offer a remedy. I grabbed my coat and left in search of another salon. Terrible customer service. I would give this place no stars at all if that were possible.

She is a shear genius! My boyfriend Joey and I have been going to her for a while now and with two completely different haircuts and type of hair she always nails it and does an amazing job!She is quick, informative, and by far the nicest and most talented stylist in the salon! I went in for just a wash and blow-dry while on a get away from FL. Cassie gave me a terrific blow-dry. My hair is thick, wavy, and porous. Many hairdressers never actually get it dry, thus frizzy hair.  But this girl did a terrific job. She made sure it was completely dry.  Smooth and sleek! The only reason for 4 stars is that I actually thought that Supercuts would have been 7 to 8 dollars cheaper. The cost was the same as a blow-dry bar.

It was around 5:30p yesterday (Saturday) I had just finished some shopping and thought "Why don't I get a haircut?" I saw Supercuts across the street so I went in. I'd never been to one before and the woman working behind the counter was very nice and told me about a 10 minute wait. It took 17 minutes only because there were 4 people ahead of me. I don't remember the womans name who cut my hair but she was very pleasant and did a great job. Worth every penny. I'd highly reccomend this place to anyone. People today complimented me on my haircut. (Hopefully my regular barber doesn't read this I've been going to him for over 30 years).

Not to make these reviews sound like a broken record, but I just saw Helen for the first time, and she is fantastic at what she does. I paid $22.50 + tip for a shampoo, cut, and blow dry, but it honestly looks like I paid $80. I was nervous because it was a riskier hair cut than I am accustomed to, but she totally put me at ease, gave me an amazing cut, and finished with some fantastic hair care tips for my hair type and new style. I will definitely be going back.

Go to Helen, she's the best.  I'm Korean and have straight, very fine hair that is very dense.  I think the term is very high 'follicles per square inch'. I've been to many expensive salons, but I think they don't do any better than the mall salons.  Helen understands Asian hair texture (round hair) and current styles.2 years ago, I thought I'd try this place - why not, right? At the time, I had mid-back length hair, with a deep side part and long bangs.  I just wanted a trim  The older woman (maybe latina (?) with short curly hair)  who cut my hair parted it in the middle and then cut it without trying to blend it, So, when i parted my hair on the side, it looked TERRIBLE!  Like a I had a shelf of hair on one side that was much shorter than the rest of the hair.  Because I'm not a complainer, I paid and left.  Later that day, I looked in the mirror and absolutely hated it and was embarrassed to go to my professional job sporting such a hack-job. I went to another salon in the Pru to ask if they could fix it, but they lost a customer when they directed me to go back to the salon that did it.So, back to Supercuts I trudged, the original woman who cut my hair was gone, thank god, but Helen immediately saw what was wrong and did the best she could to fix it without completely chopping off all of my long hair.  I was so impressed by Helen's attention to detail and willingness to assess the best hair shape for me, I've been going to her since then.  Helen does the best job on my hair that I've ever gotten, and I cannot believe she is so inexpensive.  I always tip 120% because that is what I can afford, even though I feel Helen's hair cuts are worth much more than that!

I absolutely LOVE Louise at this particular Supercuts location. She gives a tailored haircut and is mindful of all of your requests. However, I'm not so sure about the others. I made the mistake of going on a day when Louise was not there (it was out of desperation-I had an interview coming up!). I won't name the person who cut my hair, but she basically tilted my head violently and buzzed the sides of my head with a number 3 clipper when I asked for a number 5, making the hair SIGNIFICANTLY shorter. She was chatting with her co-worker the entire time she was cutting my hair and clearly missed all of the details I was telling her. My ears stuck out like satellite dishes and  I was not completely confident during my interview, but it did go well :)In any case, I do continue to go to this Supercuts, even though it is out of my way, just for Louise. She understands my weird cow licks and knows how to tame and cut my thick hair!

I (just like every other positive review) get it: Supercuts is not for everybody. If your instructions are complicated enough that it takes more than a sentence or two, you may be out of luck. But in the city, I honestly can't find anywhere that beats a $15 haircut, and price is the bottom line for me.I wish I knew some specific stylists to recommend- I've had a lot of success with a middle-aged (possibly gay?) Asian guy, and a younger Asian chick (maybe named Helen), but I haven't had a BAD experience with anyone I've ended up with.

I always get my hair cut here, I have long straight hair and just get ends trimmed, so it's not complicated. But I have been to some places that cut way too much off or leave the line crooked, so it is possible to screw up even my simple needs - I have never had this location mess up my hair in about 5 years of going there. This Supercuts location sometimes includes a nice neck and shoulder massage along with the scalp massage - something that I find very relaxing and a really nice touch. I do get a shampoo and cut, and generally I do not blow dry my hair so unless it is cold out I decline a blow dry. I am always satisfied with my hair cut, and usually leave feeling very pampered and relaxed!

Had a $2 coupon for haircut, so I tried Supercuts.  Tried to see if a cheap cut made any difference from my regular place at JulieQ's.  I'm not very fussy about my hair - short and neat is the order of the day.But ... ughs - they let me out with a haircut that seemed like a bowl was put over my head.  And without the discount, they aren't that much cheaper.

First off, the service was friendly. The lady welcomed me with a warm welcome and made sure that I was being helped. Now to the haircut. For $17, the haircut was a good quality, the cut being pretty even. Although, the upper right side of my head has a small patch of hair that the hairdresser did not touch, even after I told her that it needed to be trimmed. Lastly, she gave me a warm towel to wipe the excess hair that was on my face during the cut. All in all, the experience was great and the place looked amazing, but since one side of my hair is uneven, I give it three stars. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants a simple, quick, and inexpensive cut!!!!

This review is of stylist ORALIA. I can't review any of the other staff members because Oralia did such a good job on my hair the first time I went to this Supercuts after it opened that I never wanted to try anyone else. I'm clearly not the only one that feels that way because Oralia usually has a waiting list that starts as soon as the store opens in the morning. Don't worry - you don't have to go down there and sit in the lobby reading magazines all day. You can call ahead and ask for Oralia's schedule; they will reserve your time slot for you over the phone! I've tried other stylists at other Supercuts locations and even at higher priced salons... believe me, you'll always get quality and consistency from Oralia and you'll be like me - calling in for an appointment every few weeks for years to come.

I would not go here again. My husband got the haircut here and he has curly hair. The entire cut was done in 3-4 min and the result came out so disappointing.I know he can have much better hair cut with his type of hair . And we have always been to Supercuts till we came to California and this i first time he tried here ----Its terrible.I am not hair specialist , so cants tell you whats wrong--but the way it was done ( in hurry ) the person who did the haircut was very uncomfortable it seems in her costume :(.

Been going to Supercuts for many years, I know their haircuts are pretty much standard, but am not into anything fancy or expensive, and 95% of the time am satisfied.    This location has a stylist, Sarene, who is very experienced in the industry. She goes out of her way to make me satisfied for each of the 3 excellent haircuts have gotten from her.    I get the camouflage grey-hiding coloring each time, after transferring from another Supercuts, we went over the options and she figured the exact coloring the other shop did, the first time she colored my hair.  The call ahead feature also is convenient + I ask for her now.

avoid short haircuts by tien.  i told her i didn't want a short haircut that looks like a boy's haircut.  that's what i got and it wasn't even well done (the manager had to clean up the haircut, but couldn't do anything about the lack of length due to tien's enthusiastic snipping away).   the manager told me they didn't expect me to pay.  one star on yelp means "Eek! Methinks not."

Went in for a haircut and came out pretty unsatisfied. One of the ladies told me they had a rule about using only scissors for the top of the hair and clippers must be used for sides and back. Bad style.   Never coming back here again

I was hesitant to try SuperCuts as it took me a long time to grow my hair down to my back.Luckily, the person who cut my hair, her name was KIM.She did an amazing job, taking her time and measuring everything.  Even as more customers poured in, she didn't rush to cut my hair like the other stylists did.  The other women there, went through 3 customers while Kim was still working on my hair.I love my hair.  I recommend you cut your hair with KIM and no one else.

I went to this supercuts once and had a terrible haircut. I complained to Supercuts and they were great around giving me a voucher for a new haircut. I went again to this same location and again had an awful experience. I normally get a buzz cut. Somehow each time I get this simple cut here, they miss 40% of the hairs on my head and make it look terrible. My regular supercuts in Campbell does an excellent job. Not sure why this particular store is consistently bad.

Have been going there for years and love this place, last time i was there i saw AMY. She was the best. I went in for only a trim and decided later that we should just hack my hair for summer; she made great recommendation on what would look best with my shape of my face.  I was a little nervous but OMG my hair looks amazing and fits perfectly with my shape. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT and thank you AMY for such a great job, highly recommend AMY at Supercuts....she is such a gem.

Is $130 for a haircut and highlights too much? I have long hair and have never gotten high lights before and wanted to go somewhere "cheap" this doesn't seem cheap. And it's gonna take 3 hours... Oy vey.  And they don't have color samples I just have to trust they know what they're doing...at least it sounds like they do. We'll see, I'm waiting for the girl to get her coffee before she starts :-/

I got a simple trim with no shampoo.  The cut was ok, but when she was done, she didn't even dry or brush it.  I left the salon with long, blonde (looked greasy when it was wet), wet, and tangled hair.   I thought that maybe she wasn't supposed to with no shampoo, but my friend got the same thing, and the other lady dried and brushed her hair.  After she left me, she went in back and talked on her phone.  She also came out when I was going to pay (because we were paying together), and expected a tip.  Never go there.   The reason I give then one star is because they have candy and magazines.

I get a no frills hair cut and try to be very specific about what I want and 80% of the time I am pretty happy with my cut. It is the times when I am feeling lazy and don't really care that my head gets askew. For the price and convenience, I am really happy with this location and expect what I pay for when I take the time to explain what I want.I like the call ahead feature and now that I found my favorite stylist, when she is in the country I can get a decent cut.Whoo hoo.

I was in desperate need of a trim, as I was several months in to growing out a super short pixie cut. Realizing this, I scoured yelp for a good place to go which offered walk-in cuts. Supercuts delivered! My stylist was Emma. She made my in-between hair look normal again, and so much more stylish. She checked with me throughout the process, and made sure I was happy with the look.I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and there was no wait. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this location. I didn't feel like the stylist was rushed while working on my hair. The price was great for a shampoo, cut, and style.Overall, great location, good price, and an awesome new hair style!

I went here and I got Jennifer as my stylist, she was the best.  I told her I wanted a haircut, and she suggested one that fit my face shape.  I went along with it, and ended up getting a fantastic a-line bob that was great.   I got many compliments. It cost me 15 dollars, Jennifer is great and she gives you suggestions on what type of haircut is the best for your face... I will be coming back next time with Jennifer, she takes her time.

I went here yesterday and I wanted more than a standard haircut, I wanted a jet-black coloring job.   The stylist who took care of me, Sarene, had over 20 years of hair styling experience, said it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out, she knew exactly what she was doing.  Because I'm just reaching the age when my hairline is starting to recede a bit at the temples, she cut it in exactly the best way to maximize the look of my hair and was careful with applying the right solutions in the right proportions to keep the dye in my hair and off my skin. She was sweet the whole time and did a lot of little things to assure my comfort, saying nice things like how good it was to be pampered, complimenting my looks, and giving me a scalp massage during pre-treatment and another when the color rinsed out, and the "tea tree" treatment which helped lock in the color.  She also recommended an excellent product to keep my colored hair healthy afterward, and I'm very pleased with her work and look forward to going back for a touch-up and future treatments.  The whole process took about 1.5 hours and was reasonably priced at $45 for the color job plus $10 for the tea tree treatment.I made sure to tip her generously for her work, because she totally deserved it!This place does take appointments, so if you're planning on a great cut, style, or color, I would call and ask specifically for Sarene's service. And if you're a member of AAA, don't forget to bring in your card to get a 20% discount on everything, services and products alike, something you will need to ask for as they don't tell you about it up front. They also have a "cut card" where you get stamped every time you come in and your 13th cut is free.  But again, you will need to ask for it, or ask them to stamp it if you've already got one.

The one star is because I cannot figure out an option for zero star. Not only is there lack of organization at the location but the staff is extremely unprofessional. I understand the place is busy, we checked in online and waited for an hour, because we were told that is the wait time. An hour later Danelle and her colleague told us it will be another hour, and this was the second day in a row they did this to us. They could have told us two hours and we would have gone elsewhere. All they did was make a face and tell us they could not accommodate us. The staff was rude, unprofessional and disorganized. Would not recommend this location at all. The Sunnyvale location is much better and wait times much shorter. The staff at the Sunnyvale location is also very professional and efficient.

I waited two weeks to write this review because it's important to see how a haircut grows out before you determine the quality of the cut.  I'm a guy who prefers to keep his hair on the longer side without using a razor.  Colleen cut my hair and did a great job!  When I initially sat down in the chair, she listened to my preferences and then made her own suggestions.  I went along with her suggestions and was very happy with the end result.  My wife also loved the cut, which is always a good sign.  After two weeks, it's still looking good, even on my ugly mug.  I would suggest asking for Colleen the next time you venture into Mountain View Supercuts.

Yes yes, let the mocking begin... I'm cheap and I went to Supercuts.  I am very low maintenance when it comes to hairstyles, so a trim is a trim is a trim. And yes, they did a fine job with the trim.However...They also do eyebrow waxing.  I decided, hey, why not, I'm there and had some time to kill, let's get the ol' eyebrows waxed.  And yes, it hurt - it always does. But it turns out I got burned, quite literally.  Big ol' red slash below my eyebrow with some red tiny blisters now too.  Very sexy, let me tell you.  Looks like one of the swipes with the wax was too darned hot.I called the manager yesterday and she was apologetic but there's not really anything they can do at this point.  I'd probably go back from a trim because they can't muck that up, but I won't be letting them get near me with hot wax again.

Ok, first I should preface. I am a female, and I don't really believe in spending a ton of money on haircuts. I usually get mine layered or straight below my collarbone and I probably go for a haircut once a year. I don't even come for trimmings. Usually they just chop off about 3 inches. I have been very satisfied with this place. I started coming during their grand opening and I have been back since at least 4 times. The staff has turned over a lot. I am not quite sure why. When you come, I think you can make an appointment, but I always drop by. Usually there are about 2 people ahead of me, but I come on weekends, which is probably their busiest time. I usually get the standard haircut, no bangs or anything and no shampoo. I have never left unhappy. In fact, they always double check with me to make sure they are doing what I want. The staff is pretty professional and always curteous. And the price is fantastic (about $20 including my tip). I have never had the waxing or the color, so I cannot comment on those, but if you are very low maintenance, you might want to give this place a shot.

I don't know why I keep going back to this place, probably because it is near my house and I don't really know where else to go. The last two times I've gone I've been asked if I'd like my haircut with scissors or a clipper. That was kind of weird but now I realize it was the same female cutting my hair. After I shrugged my shoulders she went ahead and grabbed the scissors and started snipping away. She asked how much i wanted off to begin with, and I told her an 1in and 1/2. She showed me an inch & 1/2 with her fingers, which was almost 3 inches. WHOOAA.. I said.. Ugh no more like this, and made an inch with my fingers. She laughed, and now that I look back at it, the laugh was a bit demonic.  My hair was probably 5 inches in length to begin with. Just wanted to clean it up a bit. Well as my haircut concluded, I realized that I had another buzz cut. my hair is about 1/4 of an inch now on the sides and 1/2 on the top..  So .. I think I've learned my lesson, again.. well atleast until next time.

Hard to argue with the price and convenience of Supercuts.  Although I have had better cuts at higher end salons, I have also paid much more for those cuts and I am not sure that anyone can really tell the difference.  Stylists take instruction well and do not rush.  As other Yelpers have suggested, this Supercuts location delivers on expectations (unless you expect more from a chain than I do).

Don't show up at this place unless you call ahead.  I'm from out-of-state and went to Supercuts because of the national recognition.  The Supercuts in my area does not take reservations.  Had to wait for over 1-1/2 hours while 5 people were put ahead of me because they had reservations.  However, when I did finally get my haircut, Ashley was very nice and did a great job.

My family goes here regularly and my youngest sister raved about her cut from Amanda. I went on a Sunday, maybe early afternoon. The wait was very short. The hair I walked in with was frizzy with awful splits end, pulled into an "I have kids and don't have time to do my hair" ponytail. I really didn't know what kind of style to get, but Amanda asked all the right questions and gave me an easy, layered cut that still looks amazing , even in todays wet weather. Amanda will be appreciative if you grab her a Starbucks coffee while you're waiting for your cut.

Very terrible experience. I had the misfortune of dealing with Melisa. Very rude. I dont think they are given any training on how to deal with the customer, because seriously I have had better service at a food truck. Its the first place I have been to where you walk in and are not able to tell them how you want your hair cut. Nope your supposed to come in sit down and take whatever hair cut they give you. If you ask for something different you end up hurting the "stylists" ego. I literally had to fight with her to get the hair cut the way I wanted. It was so ridiculous it made me laugh. I would strongly advise against visiting this salon as there are plenty of other choices available. If you do end up in there, like I did, make sure you put your foot down and get the haircut you want as you it will be there on you for the next few weeks.

Prices keep going up, $17.50 for a basic cut last I checked. The location is also very open to the cafeteria area, so at lunch time people are watching, which feels a bit odd. The price is one of the biggest reason I stopped coming. It goes up every few months. The other reason I stopped is Gloria, their best stylist left after the move to the basement. She didn't like the lack of windows and the open layout. I can't say I blame her.

Kelly @ Super Cuts in Happy Valley is an experienced professional. It's a bit of a drive for me to get a hair cut (40 min!) but well worth the trip. I take the entire family out. I've compared her to my $70 stylist friend's work & the only difference is the bargain price you get at SuperCuts. I also stock up on my salon products when they go BOGO. Great cut & style, fantastic price and excellent customer service. I also let my kids get any haircut they want but so far my kids haven't felt the need to rebel. Maybe it's because I'm not an over bearing parent? Either way, Kelly @ SC has been doing a fantastic job for my family for about 5 years now.

A GRAND PARENTS NIGHTMARE!!!!! BEWARE!!! We went to Supercuts with our two grand kids based on the other reviews (which must have been written by employees) for a trim as we were having a family reunion and celebrating our Grand kids Great Grandmothers 90 birthday with family photos. My wife specifically instructed the stylist Sarah to just give them both a trim so they would look great in the family photos. My grandson was first and all went well, then it was our our 12 year old Granddaughters turn. And while my wife's back was turned talking to my grandson, Sarah the stylist quietly asked our granddaughter how she really wanted her hair cut & she responded shave it. So without any regard for my wife's stated initial instructions regarding both their haircuts, this so called Professional Stylist Sarah conspired with a 12 year old miner and turned on the clippers shaving our granddaughters head. YES .....SHE SHAVED HER HEAD! My wife and I are devastated to say the least with the disrespect this Supercut employee demonstrated by overriding my wife's initial haircut instructions in lou of a 12 year olds. I hope this review spares parents and grand parents the pain of disrespect my wife and I have had to endure as our beautiful Grand daughter looks like a Holocaust survivor.

I went to this Supercuts solely because of GW SR's review. I mean the AUDACITY that a person should have the autonomy to decide how they want their own hair! Shocking!! I went in, asked for my hair to be cut a specific way, and they just up and cut it that way! Didn't call any of my family to double-check my decision or anything. Super crazy way to approach hair-cuttin', but I like it.

Absolutely an awful experience. We came in for a cheap haircut when I was told that I had dandruff. A number one do not say to someone whose hair you're cutting. It was later determined that I had lice. In the middle of a haircut! The man practically screamed and yelled out to his manager, much to my embarrassment. He treated me like a contamination and refused to touch me. He held up his hands and backed away slowly, much like you do to a bear when you're afraid it will attack. He himself has long hair that he does not watch and wears leather pants and a huge necklace to his workplace! There was a lady there that treated us with respect however, she was the only good thing about this wretched place. No wonder there wasn't anyone inside. 0/10 recommend. We will not be returning.

I had spit end and really long hair. I wanted to lose the spit ends and get some shape to it. She asked if I wanted it cut straight across . I told her I wanted an angle cut as l've had done at the Supercuts in Bangor. Now that all the bad ends are gone SHE hacks off a more .did I mention I 'm trying to keep my haiRas long as possible because I ' m sensitive to everything you can put on your skin and I work outside and can' t use sunscreen I use hair to sheild my skin. Hack re d off a couple more inches off back front ends long. This cut was for a 5 ft 8 in 20 yr old . HERE'S YOUR SIGN DUMB ASS I'm 50 thing 200lbs and have had amany angle cuts that don't end like this .she had to answer phone. The customer next to me asked her person to turn the chair toward the mirror so she could see something aseasoned hairdresser would do to ensure the client was OK with it. These hairdresses avted like they were in school working on fake heads! I did go back another one cut the ridiculous sides off MORE ! At no charge . long hair for trim AMD shape . This was the worst ever salon experience my eight year old son has had! Apparently a newly trained / apprentice was given charge of my son's lovely locks. She was painfully slow and even after my explicit instructions to the kind of style I wanted, she made three unsuccessful attempts and didn't even get close. My son steadily kept slouching down the chair, tired of trying to accommodate to her pace and was in tears after forty minutes of the "stylist's" groping with his hair. What was worse - none of the other senior staff around came to his rescue till I gently expressed my desire to abandon the hair cut - and even then all I got was a frown as if I was wasting there time. The lady who took over showed no empathy at all to my son's tears and all he got was a firm "what's wrong" from her!! Let alone a child, this experience would have tested the endurance of an adult. I would challenge any of the Supercuts staff to put their own child through this predicament. I gave this one star since my daughter got a decent cut. Overall - rude and in considerate staff with no sense whatsoever of dealing with kids and making clients feel worthless.

Was a client at this store for 3 years - the manager Estrella cut and colored my hair - she was rare at super cuts - she had skills ands experience my color was perfect every time and my cuts were always what I asked for - the poor rating??? well it has to do with the company not my stylist. They I had another manager who decided she wanted to make more money - her stores overall productivity was not great so their answer - take away the store from the manager Estella worked very hard to get her store productive and also turn her store from being dirty and unorganized to a pleasant place to visit - great business sense - you are unproductive - you get to takeaway someone els's store and are rewarded - you work your ass off and they take it all away from you - well needless to say my stylist quit and her entire staff walked out the door with her except 1 so needless to stay I lost my stylist - the store lost a good manager and staff and I have no doubt that the store will go back to the filthy unfriendly mess it was before Estrella was there...

I went on for an eyebrow wax and specifically told the hairdresser that I just wanted them trimmed up, the usual. Not only was she so rough with me that she literally rubbed skin off my eyelid, but she took it upon herself to completely change the shape of my eyebrows altogether. Now my eyebrows are barely there and look like an accident that happens in middle school where you accidentally way overpluck them and end up looking like you just drew 2 lines above your eyes. It was the worst experience I've had here so far and I don't think I'll be coming back.

I later brought in my wife to get her hair cut and she was amazed after spending the last six months trying to find a new stylist ever since we moved from new york. I have been to this locations several times and have been pleased with my cut. However, i went in on August 28th at approximately 4:45 pm and had my hair cut by Karen. She spent no time at all edging my my hairline. I had to have my girlfriend finish the job, while she was at it I had her shave my neck because that was not done well either. The top back of my hair sticks straight up in the air because it was not cut right (never have had that happen before). During the cut Karen kept looking out the window, at one point she actually stopped cutting and walked to take a closer look outside. No idea what she was doing. Finally, after she spent 5 minutes on my cut I asked for a shampoo. She told me her back was hurting and she could not do it. If that was the case she should have mentioned that before I ever sat in her chair. I would have had someone else do it but she was alone. I have never had my hair cut by someone who took as little pride in their profession as Karen. I expect I response to this post and would like a free cut. By someone else. If D is still employed there I prefer her, she is an example that Karen should try and be...

The lady who cut my hair was friendly, but I had brought in a picture of what I wanted it to look like and it looked nothing like what I asked. The picture I brought was a slight variation of a faux hawk fade and what I left with was basically a buzzcut but slightly longer. Two stars because at least they were friendly, but I will definitely not be going back.

Told me the wait was 25-30 min. After 45 minutes of wait, the "stylists" started doing each other's hair. At this point I am told to wait 10 more minutes. They refused more clients under the argument that they would be closing too late. Complete disrespect to the customers, apparently not interested in increasing the tip income for the day and prefer to care about their own cut. Insulting, shameful and a waste of time. Being cheaper does not give you the right to mock the customer. This was my first and last attempt with this chain. Going back to Sport Clips.

BRANDI CANNOT DO A TEXTURE CUT. She's also a massive buzz kill -- about 4 foot tall, bad face, flat as a board, and very unpleasant demeanor. I think she has a massive inferiority complex toward good looking people; at least she showed one toward me lol. I used to get cut there by a girl named Amber who was great. After she left, things went downhill. Brandi actually did me a favor. I kept going back because I assumed there was nowhere else in center city to get a cut for less than $30. After Brandi's shoddy effort, I expanded my search and found places around chinatown that do "short hair" men's cuts for a buck less than Supercuts. Cut includes shampoo and conditioner at no charge, and the stylists are great. They take their time and do texture cuts with the precision of a surgeon. My hair's never looked better.

I have been going to the $110-per-visit salons for a while now thinking that less expensive haircuts would be a disaster (and many years ago, I had gone into a salon in S. Philly, paid $20 for a hair cut, and it was a disaster. This thought stayed with me for years). I saw a great review of Supercuts and decided to take a chance. It's a walk-in set-up, and as I waited my turn, I saw young stylists doing beautiful work on people of all ages. The young woman who took care of me (Trish) washed my hair, combed a very precise part, sectioned and clipped, gave me a beautiful and clean cut, then did the blow out---and my hair looked GREAT! Today's style---a professional and attractive blunt cut with some layers...I was so pleased. She said that cutting hair is "what we do." The stylists receive education every three months on the latest trends...and it shows. I really am a convert! I paid $30 for a wash, cut, and blow dry for my long hair. I highly recommend Supercuts!

Absolutely terrible. Maybe this place only does ladies but for a men's haircut, what they did to my head was shameful. I get a 3 on the sides and a trim on top with a rounded neck. The girl was so quick with everything. The trim was uneven and she combed it upwards to hide the non-existent 'fade'. I had to go down the street to a real barber shop to fix it! I shouldn't have paid anything. Go here at your own risk it seems.

The three women here spent more time talking to one another then actually working. Oh and they were trying to train someone new even when there is now 6 people waiting. I am a guy, and I went in to get a hair cut around when it opened. Generally, I have never found a place that can screw up a guy's hair cut if all he wants is number 4 clippers on the side and a cut off the top. The woman that served me, was too afraid to use the clippers because they are "too new" and didn't want to cut me. She spent an hour and a half going at my hair with scissors, leaving it uneven, until a manager came over and instructed her how to properly cut my hair. If you want to train new people, don't train them on me without my permission. The worst hair cut, I have ever had. I had to get a second hair cut at First Choice afterwards.

I had booked a appointment online / checked in online, appointment was confirmed - for 12:30. I showed up at the location at 12:20 to let them know I arrived, the lady said is it for a haircut, I said no a shampoo. She said sorry I can't do until 1:00-1:30, she said I have this lady sitting here who had been waiting for 30 minutes. I said can't the other lady there do it, she said no she had another customer coming soon. I said why did it let me sign in online than and confirm my appointment???. She said sorry we can't do until after 1:00. Why because I was was getting a shampoo and not a hair cut. These people I tip well too and was going to tip them the same price as the cost of the shampoo, I guess there loss. I told her forget about it and walked out. I will never go there again, worst customer service. Funny thing is I get my hair washed once a week from a Salon and was looking for a place to go, as I just moved to this city.

I love this location! It's very convenient for me because it is halfway between the walk from home to work. It is also next to a Starbucks, which is a little dangerous lol. Usually if you are a more "feminine" appearing person, hair stylists never cut your hair as short as you want. I requested that the stylist use a 3 on the sides and back of my hair, and cut the top short enough to spike up. I specifically said I prefer a more masculine look as opposed to a rounded pixie cut. They gave me exactly what I wanted with no fuss, no "are you sure you want it that short????" type comments, and it looks fantastic. I go to different supercuts and fantastic sam's locations a lot, and this was my best experience & best results. Will go again, and will recommend to anyone on a budget.

I had gotten mixed results from this Supercuts before -- I have a couple weird cowlicks and that makes working with my hair (short, longer on top) kinda challenging, especially since it grows out fast to dandelion-puff status. After a while, I landed on Dawn as a stylist, and she's amazing! Every haircut is consistent and if I want something done shorter or the shape to be adjusted after the initial cut is done, it's totally fine. Similar to Charlie's experience, even though I am obviously female-bodied I never get heat over picking masculine/high and tight haircuts, and they always treat me professionally. I've been coming here for 2-3 years now and have no plans on stopping! And the wait times are never bad, especially if you call ahead (plus there's a Starbucks next door, so!).

My son has Autism... he is very sensitive to certain sounds and one of the sounds that hurts his ears is the sound of clippers. We had been turned away from other barbers because Michael reacted violently to the sound, kicking, screaming, pushing and punching because it was terrifying to him. We started going late at night to see him so that there wouldn't be a lot of people there, and Randy did something no one else had done. He was patient and he made my son smile. Played with him and got him comfortable. He's even cut his hair in the lobby sometimes when Michael was too scared to get in the chair. It's been two years and now, Michael doesn't react violently, he whimpers but in general, he sits fairly still and the hair cuts that were 2 hours are now 15 minutes or less. Randy is so very patient, so kind and funny. The first haircut without tears was about a month ago... well, actually there WERE tears... Randy and I cried! I'll never stop going there as long as Randy works there. The staff are very nice and never make me or my son feel self conscious, even though we've been a spectacle in the past. Customer for life.

They are personable and they listen. I always used to go to high dollar hair places. I trust them with my hair. Brandon ( the mgr ) has been there for ever and he is the one I trust all though my recent stand-by left for her son's schedule. It sounds like we are friends and I am hyping them. I am a happy customer. Good services and good prices are tough to find these days!

I set an appointment. Showed up when I supposed to, and was told that I'm next in. 45 minutes later one of the ladies comes up to the counter and tells the guy sitting next to me that she'll get to him after she gets shampooing another customer. Wouldn't that make me 3rd in? Why set appointments if you aren't going to honor them, or even get close to it? I left.

My stylist is the best. Always with a smile on her face, always does the hot towel, she's really attentive and sweet. Been with her through a couple of other Supercut salons and she's well worth it. Horrible speed, stylist was personable, just didn't know how to cut hair. Took an hour to do a military high and tight haircut, didn't listen to where it was supposed to be faded and had to redo it. Stylist also had a bad habit of getting distracted talking to the other employee and started drumming on my head with her fingers. I would steer clear of this place unless you're planning to make a day of it.

Terrible! I now have to go somewhere else to get this haircut fixed. Gentlemen, think twice before you entrust your hair to this place. WARNING: If you do decide to patronize this establishment, and you suddenly find yourself in the chair of a very large African-American woman... RUN!!!!

With the exception of Dashiqui, the service is bad. Once my daughter had her haircut done standing up while the very large woman mentioned on the other comments, sat on the chair. Also you have to specify if you want the back lined up or sideburns cleaned up for boys haircut. When we go and Dashiqui is not there, we turn around and run.

Very unprofessional with the things they talk about, extremely ghetto. Very inexperienced in skill. The manager of the store (as stated by second reviewer) is HORRIBLE!! and rude. She kept on looking out the window while cutting my hair and left one side of my hair uncut (I only realized after I got out of the shower). Every single time I tell her to thin my hair out and dont cut it too short she purposely avoids it and gives me close to a buzz cut. When I call her out on it she starts to tell me how my hair should look and how thinning it out isnt good for me. WOW. I dont even know why I went there as long as I did. Just go to Great Clips right across the street, much better.

Went in looking to get a long Taylor Swiftlike bob and came out looking like Arya Stark, at best. Called in advance to book an appt but they were surprised when I showed up for it. I asked for Marie and she didnt listen to a thing I said. She spent just as much time talking to other customers as she did to me, only realizing she was being rude about halfway through. After my cut, she kind of mocked it, saying she doesnt like choppy but if i do she hopes i like my choppy choppy hair, laughing the whole time. It took her half an hour tops, when every other stylist Ive gone to needs about an hour. Would not recommend.

I agree with everyone else that it can be tough to get a walk-in cut. If you call ahead, they give a pretty accurate time - I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes if I show up when they tell me to show up. After that, it is pretty much an average Super-Cuts experience, and I have never come out with a haircut that I was unhappy with. I think much of the vitriol in the reviews is there because of people who are butt-hurt from trying to walk in and having to wait while the over-worked staff try to catch up with the backlog (admittedly, they need to get better at this aspect).

ASK FOR MARIE. Seriously. I have had 2 awful experiences here, but badly needed my hair cut before work today. She got me in, was sweet as pie, and is amazing with her job. Went down to get a medium fade haircut. The whole time I was getting my haircut I specifically explained what I didn't want. I also explained previous haircut experiences and what was wrong with them, hoping she would understand and cut my hair the way I wanted. My hair cut specialist seemed to lack the specialty skills to understand what I wanted. After it was done she asked me if I liked it, I did not want to be rude and start a ramble (as I am doing now) so I asked her to fade it in a little bit more. But it got worse, so I couldn't take it anymore. NOR COULD MY HAIR!!! I know that hair comes back but still why should i sacrifice weeks of growing hair over a 10 minute haircut. -This is the wifey and his hair is soooo freakin funny to look at hahahaha She is right, the haircut ended up making me look like kid from kid and play. After requesting a couple corrections to my haircut the stylist Mavis's demeanor and attitude changed. She said she would never cut my hair again, after this. All I requested were to even out the sides and top. This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in Fountain Hills, and will never give them my business again. I would urge you to steer clear of Mavis, or you could end up needing emergency hair repair.

Without question the worst haircut experience I've had. 1) If you're a smoker, fine, but don't cut my hair immediately after a smoke break without washing your hands and chewing gum. 2) Your work station was disgusting, hair and dust everywhere. 3) Your clippers are as gross as your work station. 4) Learn the basic skills of customer service, you defined rude through the entire 10 minute experience. 5) If you hate your job, quit and don't make it obvious to the people your supposed to be performing a service to. Person who cut my hair was a young man, black hair and beard, skater appearance, wish I knew his name but I dont.

Most awful hair cut I have ever had. I am new to the area and went looking for a new hairstylist. I chose super cut because I thought the prices were very reasonable. I walked in and there were 2 women working that day and there was about 3 people waiting. Unfortunately I ended up with a hairstylist that was just rushing to cut as many heads as possible. I have long hair. I went to get layers and had asked for bangs. This took 5 minutes. When I got home and took a look in the mirror, it was a disaster. My bangs were awful. I had pieces of hair sticking out that had grown out from my last hair cut. I will never go go to this place again.

I had an excellent experience this week at this Supercuts location with stylist Nina. I had a wash, cut, and blow dry session. I got a pretty major haircut; about 7 inches worth was taken off. Nina was super helpful and provided her honest, professional opinion on what would look best for me. I originally wanted a pixie, but she convinced me that a bob would look best (considering factors like how the hair will lay, how it will grow out, my hairline, my hair type, and my face shape) and she specifically taylored the perfect bob with side bangs just for me and even went so far as to offer to cut it down to a pixie later in the week if I wasn't satisfied (but I totally am!) She was friendly, sweet, upbeat, and professional, and gave me a very pleasant and comfortable experience. I felt totally at ease in her chair, even though this was my first time having her as a stylist and my first time back in this salon in about 10 years. I also appreciated that she is completely fluent in English which, for me as a native English speaker, made it an even more comfortable experience because we could more easily communicate. She really is an artist and totally passionate about her job and giving her customers her best work! I highly recommend her. Her shampoo massage was also very enjoyable! Best part, I only paid $30 (including tax, not including tip)! The other staff were pleasant and friendly with a good sense of humor. This place is walk-in only, by the way, but you can call to see when your preferred stylist is in for any particular day or week and you can call when you are on your way to give them a heads-up. They also have a smartphone app you can use for this purpose. All in all, I highly recommend!

This is my 2nd time going to this location. The facility is clean and for the most part, staff is friendly. However, I will not use BOB as my stylist again, and if you have children I would suggest against him. He is impatient, rude and did a half-a*$ job. I later went for Courtney to fix what he did. His excuse was that my son would not sit still. My son has high functioning autism, but I do not think it is necessary to divulge that information to get good service. With a little bit of patience and communication, Courtney has now done a great job twice without me giving her the fine print about my sons 'needs'. I've never had any problems with anyone else at any other Supercuts. I will just make sure to not schedule the appointment with Bob next time.

I went to the SuperCuts closest to me to get my hair colored. On Tuesday, I arrived at 5:50pm and was told that they were no longer color treating hair. I asked to make an appointment and they said they do not take appointments. On Wednesday, I called at 7pm to make sure they were doing hair color and I was told they don't color hair after 6:30pm. On Thursday I got in at 5:30pm and they told me they were too short staffed to color my hair and told me to call them and let them know ahead of time when I'd be coming i.. If you can't color hair why offer it? Do you take appointments or not? If not how come I have to call ahead of time? Friday, I went to Philip Pelussi. I’m extremely disappointed with the service of this salon. I will be posting my experience on social media sites and business review websites. This is terrible customer service. I first went to Supercuts because my former hairdresser was unavailable. I was thrilled with the cut and style. Over the years, I have been to this location countless times and have had several different stylists. Over time, I have narrowed it down to a couple of favorites, but have never had a bad cut. The price is fantastic, too. You cannot beat it. However, it is important to realize that with a company like Supercuts, you do not have the option to schedule appointments, so you must take what is available. If you are in need of services that are very time-consuming, you may want to go to a high end salon where the staff will take all the time you need. It is unrealistic to expect Supercuts to operate like them for the price they charge.

Unbelievable. Called ahead at 3:15 asked if they had time. They said yes. Got there at 3:30. My hair was brushed and I asked if she could do a shampoo and a blow dry with the trim. She said yes, brought me over to the wash tub then proceeded to wash my long fine hair by rubbing it all around n making knots, didn't rinse a third of my scalp. Brought me back to the chair where I see hair trimmings from the barber cut she finished before me on the cape and table. Grabbed a dirty comb and started RIPPING through my hair from the top down. I had to stop her from ripping and breaking all my hair n brush my own hair n she got offended and said she couldn't brush through my hair because it was too tangled and didn't have time to brush it, cut it and nevermind dry it! I HAD ASKED! She got upset with me because I asked if she had time n she said yes but then changed her mind. Insisted I pay for the shampoo and offered me to sit under a dryer for free. Absolutely horrid experience and no sense of customer service. I'd rather her off said no sorry I don't have the time than too rip my hair out n complain to me she didn't have time AFTER saying she did. Unbelievable. Search for a home based hair dresser n get awesome prices and someone who actually cares and knows what they are doing!

Just finished getting a haircut from Kayla. I went knowing that I wanted my very long hair cut to a length somewhere between my chin and shoulders but not quite what I wanted. I brought a few pictures of haircuts I liked and talked to Kayla about what I liked about them. She explained the drawbacks to each cut and was able to extrapolate what I liked from our discussion. I rarely love new haircuts but Kayla did a fantastic job.

Was told 20 minute wait. Still waiting 50 minutes later. Cut itself was fast and good quality. Paid attention to what I said as to how I wanted my hair cut.

Stylist did not listen to my requests. I asked for a 1 inch trim on my long hair, she cut close to 3 off in length and added more layers, that I did not request. It's a nice cut, but did NOT listen to what I wanted. My three year olds hair cut is even worse. This is a 1 1/3 star establishment

Five stars for Jordon. My first experience here was not good at all, but I didn't realize that until Jordon cut my hair today. The first time I came in a blond lady cut my hair and she did not give me what I wanted, and convinced me I had thin hair, which I had never in my life been told before. However today when I went in Jordon gave me exactly what I wanted, agreed my hair was not thin, and the haircut she gave me looks great. I have medium-long hair.

It is Supercuts so you can't expect the luxury of a full service hair salon, but I walked in on Saturday morning and was having a bad hair experience. Jordan made it better. I have gone back a couple times since and my visits are quick and the service is standard.

Horrible service @ lincoln square location. I waited 40+ minutes to get a mens haircut and I was first on their list. They let two people in ahead of me (no idea why and no explanation), then they tried to let a guy who was third on the list in front of me and this other gentleman waiting. Extremely slow and unprofessional location. I just walked out.

I have always been pleased with the people who work here, and their talents. I went in one time with a request for a retro cut, and the young stylist admitted she might need a little help with my request- so she brought over a more experienced stylist, and I was impressed by the way they worked together. I was happy with the outcome!

At the beginning of this summer I decided it was time to change my hair. A good friend of mine recommend this Super cuts so that's exactly where I went. When I arrived I was greeted by a blond lady who introduced herself as Daiana. Right off the bat she had a great attitude and made feel very comfortable. As I have never coloured my hair before I had no idea what I should do. Daiana explained to me exactly how it all worked and what I should expect. She showed me various colours, options and examples which was a great help! Through out the whole time I was very comfortable, she made great conversation and was very personable. She knew exactly what she was doing and how to work with my thin and dry hair. When the final product was revealed I was taken back with how amazing it looked! I was delighted that I turned out so well since I was so nervous at the start! Till today I still get compliments from friends and colleagues. Daiana did a great job and delivered exactly what she promised; fuller, healthier looking hair and lots of compliments! Soo happy I went here, I definitely recommend others here and I will be back in the future!

I thought i would get my haircut over the Christmas/New Year Holiday of 2014. There was one blonde lady in the shop. Halfway through my haircut her clippers broke and she didn't know how to fix them. I had to go to my car with half my hair cut get my screw driver and come back to fix it for her (loose screws). When she announced she was done i was shocked, my hair was so uneven and patchy, i asked her to please trim 1 particularly patchy part but she seemed to think my hair cut was fine as is and wanted to leave my hair the way it was. I immediately paid and left and went straight to another barber shop to get a second opinion. The new shop literally said " OH MY GOD" and gave me a free recut after i told them the story. how the owners left someone so stupid in charge of the shop is shocking.

They spend approx. 10 minutes for what I consider a trim not an actual cut. The wait time is longer than the "cut" itself. They don't shampoo your hair unless you request it they just use a spray bottle w/water. They will also try to cross sell you hair products. If you are looking for a real haircut don't waste your time or money going to these places.

I went in for a simple wash, cut and blow-dry. It's posted $18.00 by the register. When I checked out it was $38.00. They did not use a curling iron or rollers, just a brush and blow dry. I am thinking she charged for all the products. I will call tomorrow and question. I am happy with the cut but you can't post 18 and then charge 38. Huge difference.

I love this supercuts! I never have to sit and wait like I do at pricey salons. The staff is friendly and courteous--unlike snobby pricey salons. My stylist Jackie..cuts my hair and my daughters 13 & 8...and has been doing so for the last 4 years...and we all have different texture hair and she still does it great!! I pay like $15 for what is priceless in my book for a great haircut in layers and styled...everytime!! So thank you to the girls at this Supercuts...thanks to Brittany for my fab highlights...thanks to Jackie for my flowing layers...and thanks to Gemma out in BK who just rocks!! xoxo

I have to say that the haircut was really nice. The woman who cut my hair was really attentive to how I normally style it, and was constantly asking me about length and my desire for the cut. The overall experience was rather awful. I felt really uncomfortable there because it was clear that the staff did not like one another and barely got a long. I felt that the other hairdresser who was there while I was getting my hair cut was incredibly unprofessional and rude. When a customer called to ask a few questions about a stylist's hours, she answered them in a really rude fashion and then slammed the phone on them. I would not recommend this place to a friend unless they felt like being in an uncomfortable environment for the customer.

The stylist was nice. I decided to treat myself instead of cutting my own hair like usual. Sadly, talking was more of a priority than cutting my hair. When i got home, i noticed there was a chunk of uncut hair right on top of my head. I had to fix it myself, probably making it worse. I will not return. I guess cutting my own hair is the best bet.

The lady at Super Cuts listened to me and also made suggestions and explained what would help my hair, I have really thick hair that did not want to lay down, I would always wear my hair up because of that, now I can wear it down and it feels so much better. She also took time to show me a couple of products that would be helpful. I have bough ten so much hair products and these really help. I am so glaf I chose Super Cuts of Traverse City.

She then proceeded to cut more than 15 inches off of my hair then tried to tell me it was 10 and a half inches!!! I am so pissed. Told the lady how I wanted my haircut 3 times and she repeated it twice. Shave the sides short with 2, leave finger length hair on top. She shaved my head into a buzzcut. She started shaving and went "oopps, I'm so sorry." Not only that, but she had cheap clippers that kept heating up and burning my head. I told her, than she kept going and burned my ear. I kept my cool, even when they were discussing whether or not to charge me because she butchered my hair. They charged me $7 for a haircut I could have done myself. Not only that but the other girl suggested mid butcher that I style my hair like "one of them Asian people." Very unprofessional staff. You are better off going to a hair school and getting your hair cut by amateur students. They could not pay me to go back.

A couple of the ladies -- Abby and Brittney -- are pretty good. These two (and Abby especially) always take the time and care to give me a good cut, and if not rushing makes them "slow" then that's fine with me. Other staff there have given me cuts that I haven't been too happy with, so I try to stick with one of those two.

Went in there several times and had a few bad cuts but then got a cut by Kara. She really knows her hair and is usually very vocal with you, explaining what she is going to do and why. Went for a haircut today and waited about 20-25 minutes while listening to the employees complain about their day and how they need to go on a break ( one in particular was in a really bad mood). Then a guy walked in, sat down for 1 minute and they took him back while I still waited. They had to turn away a few people because they had no change for paying customers(cash). As I watched this guy get his haircut after waiting one minute I decided to just walk out... Totally unorganized and unprofessional.

I didn't catch her name but the blonde chubby chick that works there did a terrible job with my hair. If you have curly hair, don't let her cut it. First she completely wet my hair, which is fine, but it's like she forgot it was curly or just didn't care, so she cut it too short and when it dried it was even shorter. Plus one side of my hair is longer then the other. And i asked for all one length. And when she finished she didn't let me look at the finished product. I didn't get too look at it until I got out and in front of a mirror; I cried. Too short. And what's worse is that I tipped her. I even showed her a pic of what i wanted twice before she cut it and the length wasnt even right. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT FROM THIS PERSON.

Speaking for men's haircuts, I'd like to think consistency is one of the key factors for any location, and Supercuts delivers on that. The stylists are consistently engaged with the patron and their work, while quick, is neat and efficient. The wait times can be a tad long as there aren't appointments at this location (to my knowledge), but it's nothing out-of-the-ordinary from most stylist locations.
