So, I need a quick fix. Just to thin out my hair after getting a long bob haircut. I opted for Helen, since I've read so many great reviews on her. Also, I needed something really cheap, since I'm trying to restrain myself from spending too much for my summer vacation.Anyways, I DID NOT feel like I was at a Supercuts at all. She gave me so many tips on how to take care of my hair, and suggested what I should do to it, and walked me through with everything she was about to do to my head full of hair. She was so informative that I felt like I was at an upscale salon. After being very hesitant, felt at ease. She's great at what she does and I am so happy that I came here instead of spending loads of money at a different salon.

Not to make these reviews sound like a broken record, but I just saw Helen for the first time, and she is fantastic at what she does. I paid $22.50 + tip for a shampoo, cut, and blow dry, but it honestly looks like I paid $80. I was nervous because it was a riskier hair cut than I am accustomed to, but she totally put me at ease, gave me an amazing cut, and finished with some fantastic hair care tips for my hair type and new style. I will definitely be going back.

I have never written a review on yelp before but my experience at supercuts on Boylston was just too good to not share.I usually have a fear of getting haircuts because a request for 2 inches cut off always ends up becoming 5 inches. But Adrianna was super careful with cutting my hair and clarified many times asking exactly how I wanted the haircut. The only strange part was that this was my first time getting a haircut standing up. But overall I am very happy with my haircut. And I will definitely be going back and requesting Adrianna again.

Go to Helen, she's the best.  I'm Korean and have straight, very fine hair that is very dense.  I think the term is very high 'follicles per square inch'. I've been to many expensive salons, but I think they don't do any better than the mall salons.  Helen understands Asian hair texture (round hair) and current styles.2 years ago, I thought I'd try this place - why not, right? At the time, I had mid-back length hair, with a deep side part and long bangs.  I just wanted a trim  The older woman (maybe latina (?) with short curly hair)  who cut my hair parted it in the middle and then cut it without trying to blend it, So, when i parted my hair on the side, it looked TERRIBLE!  Like a I had a shelf of hair on one side that was much shorter than the rest of the hair.  Because I'm not a complainer, I paid and left.  Later that day, I looked in the mirror and absolutely hated it and was embarrassed to go to my professional job sporting such a hack-job. I went to another salon in the Pru to ask if they could fix it, but they lost a customer when they directed me to go back to the salon that did it.So, back to Supercuts I trudged, the original woman who cut my hair was gone, thank god, but Helen immediately saw what was wrong and did the best she could to fix it without completely chopping off all of my long hair.  I was so impressed by Helen's attention to detail and willingness to assess the best hair shape for me, I've been going to her since then.  Helen does the best job on my hair that I've ever gotten, and I cannot believe she is so inexpensive.  I always tip 120% because that is what I can afford, even though I feel Helen's hair cuts are worth much more than that!

I liked my haircut. Descent haircut.  Everything was fine, the wait, the cut and the treatment. the only thing that was weird was that they asked for additional 10 dollars to dry my hair. when I arrived, my hair was dry so I expected leave as I entered. they sprayed water to my hair to make it wet to cut it but at the end I did not expect to leave the store with wet hair. I had a headache for the rest of the day b/c of not drying the hair.

As has been noted many times in these pages, Helen is great. To get your hair cut with her, you need to call in advance and put in a request. Helen keeps me looking great and even tells me where all the beautiful women hang out.

I was trying to cut my hair by myself, but I screwed up so much. So I went to here, and they fixed it pretty well. Can't complaint about anything. Everyone was friendly, so I believe you will have a good time while you are in there.

I went today for the first time and I am very happy with it. Before coming here I tried other cheap places in Boston but the service was terrible.I don't know the name of the girl who cut my hair but she was amazing. She was nice, polite and friendly and before cutting she checked with me the it was what I wanted.I'm not a big fun of hairdressers and I don't care that much about my hair so I'm looking for a cheap place and for $15.99 this is the best you can get in Boston. Give $3 tip so I ended up paying $20 but I would have paid also $30 because she was very professional. Again I don't know the name. She was about 30 years old, blond and very nice. You won't be disappointed?

Helen is AMAZING! She definitely knows her craft and is super knowledge about hair!!! She is a shear genius! My boyfriend Joey and I have been going to her for a while now and with two completely different haircuts and type of hair she always nails it and does an amazing job!She is quick, informative, and by far the nicest and most talented stylist in the salon! She also advised us to buy some of the Paul Mitchell products they carry and after purchasing them and starting to use them we loved the results!Thank you Helen!

(At the risk of making the waits to see her even more legendary than they are) hands down, Helen is the best hairstylist I've ever had. Brilliant at her work and putting her best effort in each time (have been enjoying her work for years now--a fantastic track record for my temperamental hair!), there's no one I'd rather trust. The incredible price is icing on the cake. Thank you, Helen! Your art is much appreciated!!

I have a favorite hair stylist here (that I will not name because I don't wanna share sorry haha). She does a great job every time I come in. I try and make an appointment whenever I can so I don't have to wait - it can get super busy sometimes. But even with appointments you still have to wait 5-10 mins sometimes. Still for a $20 haircut, you can't complain!

Clearly, you get what you pay for, and I should have known better than a $16.99 haircut. However, I was out running errands and decided to drop in for a quick trim. My hair is straight and very simple to cut; this was not a fancy request! The hairstylist  (who had purple hair) acted like she had never given a haircut before. Asked me to stand up during the cut, and then gave me a mirror to check out the back of my hair. It looked uneven! I told her, "It looks uneven to me, " and her response was, "Oh." No offer to remedy it; nothing. The girl at the counter never asked me how my service was. I pulled out my card to pay and she immediately asked about gratuity. I stated that my hair was uneven, and she again didn't apologize or offer a remedy. I grabbed my coat and left in search of another salon. Terrible customer service. I would give this place no stars at all if that were possible.

I'm going to give big props to Helen. She is a hair goddess. She has many years of experience and just by sitting in the chair with her for five minutes, you know you're in good hands. She's really sweet, knowledgable, quick, meticulous and understands how your hair works. Back in April, I went to her to get my hair dyed a certain brown color (single process) and she explained to me how it would turn out if I did it that way and what not. Said it would actually take many attempts to get it to the way it was in the picture. Anyways, I trusted her and she managed to get my hair color exactly how she described it (based on my skin tone and all that jazz) the very first time and I LOVED it. My manager from work actually gets her hair done by her and recommended Helen to me. When Helen found that out, she asked me if the shade of brown she does on my manager was what I wanted too, and I said yes. She explained the process thoroughly and she is very precise on the timing of the dye. Never have I been happier to find a hairdresser who I know will be consistent and caring about my own hair than I am myself. I went back recently to retouch on my roots that were coming out and chop my hair short and Helen did a great job. She was actually really busy with clients back to back (I'm not surprised) so the girl in front told me there would be a 30 minute wait. I told them I didn't mind anyone else doing my hair as long as they pulled up my color card that I remember Helen had written down for me, but I guess they couldn't find it and ended up making me wait for Helen anyway. Wish they told me though because I would've stepped out to grab a small snack at like Walgreens or coffee at DD; I was starving. All in all, it was so worth the wait!

This Supercuts really means business. There is a TON of talent here. The original reason I tried this place out is because my friend was sporting one of the most beautiful cuts I'd ever seen and recommended that I try it. I was a little hesitant because have a background in cosmetology and I'm incredibly specific about the sort of cut I want, and (like many of us) I have been butchered at salons before. My stylist was (and continues to be) Marisol and she is completely AMAZING. From wash to style, she is unbeatable. She has tons of experience and is extremely confident and competent at all she does. She is meticulous and takes her time, making sure you look absolutely perfect. Her blowouts are also incredible, and last days without frizzing out or going flat. Helen is also fabulous (and adorable), I've been to her for a trim a couple of times when Marisol was not available. For all this, it costs like $30. If you've ever frequented a Newbury street salon, you know what a deal $30 is for a full wash, cut, and blowdry. Definitely would recommend!

This place is great.  Everyone I've had here cuts well.  I'm pretty particular about my haircuts even though I just get a fade. Also, went there last night, there was an hour long wait.  However, I used the Supercuts App to check in ahead of time.  I waited for not even 5 minutes and I was getting my haircut.  Not only that, the hair-cutters were taking there time with each client, giving good haircuts....not rushing them out the door because of the long wait.  Definitely recommend for a decent & cheap haircut!

I came here tonight before my gymmy-gym workout, got a great haircut! I got my usual dry cut, and had layers added in.  The thought of paying more for a "fancypants haircut" is super unappealing.... I don't know how much I paid but I tipped 10 bux to the lady who cut my hair.Five Stars!  I love a great value!

Desperate for a haircut today and since I'm new to the area, I was loathe to spend alot of money.  Found out that they can cut African American hair and made an appointment with Adriana the same day. She was excellent!!  Best $20 I've ever spent on a haircut and I will be seeing her every two weeks from now on!

Hey man, for a Supercuts, this place is pretty darn good. I needed to trim my bangs, and the fella who did the trim did an excellent job -- not too easy to mess up a simple fringe trim, but hey, it's happened! Ten bucks and I was out the door. Bit of a wait, but that's to be expected in a traffic heavy spot like Boylston St.

I have been coming here for several years as a friend recommended & I figured why not. I don't like to fuss over my hair or spend alot of money on it either. I like the fact that you can just walk in & get a haircut. I also find it funny that although I get a haircut 1 or 2x/yr, the same person has cut my hair a few times. Helen is great, sporting her purple streaked hair, she is my go to gal. She knows my hair better than me, which is awesome. I think it can be hit or miss w/ certain people cutting your hair. I don't want a newbie doing it, although it's hard to mess up my long hair. So go get your hair cut & save yourself some money by having them do it properly.

Lola is the BEST! Not only was my "just a trim" exactly what I wanted, my eyebrows turned out SUPERB - I think I may be more excited about the eyebrow wax than the actual cut! Not to mention, the cut, blow dry and wax was only $35 with tip!The secret to Supercuts (or any discount/walk-in/chain salon) is to ask for less than you want because most often the stylist will go overboard. Ask for a 1/4 of an inch when you want 1/2, etc. and your bound to be satisfied.Sorry Newbury Street, I will only be visiting you twice a year for an overpriced "salon experience", other than that, Supercuts has my vote!

In a word: Helen! Sweet girl, but even more, she gives a great cut, and she always remembers you and what you want. I have been going to one Supercuts or another for a while now, but now I always go to the Back Bay store and to Helen. I know I will get just the cut I want and look great.

I went in for just a wash and blow-dry while on a get away from FL. Cassie gave me a terrific blow-dry. My hair is thick, wavy, and porous. Many hairdressers never actually get it dry, thus frizzy hair.  But this girl did a terrific job. She made sure it was completely dry.  Smooth and sleek! The only reason for 4 stars is that I actually thought that Supercuts would have been 7 to 8 dollars cheaper. The cost was the same as a blow-dry bar.

Cheap, quick, decent haircuts. If you come in after work, expect to wait a bit. I've had a couple times when I haven't been thrilled with my haircut, but for  $16 + tip and no fuss, it's fine.

Hallelujah, hallelujah!!!I was in desperate need of a trim and despite the very bad past experiences, I went to this location because of the convenience and low cost. That said, I hoped to find a new person to cut my hair as I would not have agreed to have my hair cut by the two people who butchered me here before. My prayers were answered and her name is Marisola!!! Marisola did a fantastic job!!! She was pleasant, focused on cutting the hair and giving direction which way to tilt my head, etc. The split ends are now gone and my hair looks better and fuller. I would definitely recommend her and I will be returning here in several weeks for another trim with Marisola. It was also inexpensive $15.95 (before tip).

I absolutely LOVE Louise at this particular Supercuts location. She gives a tailored haircut and is mindful of all of your requests. However, I'm not so sure about the others. I made the mistake of going on a day when Louise was not there (it was out of desperation-I had an interview coming up!). I won't name the person who cut my hair, but she basically tilted my head violently and buzzed the sides of my head with a number 3 clipper when I asked for a number 5, making the hair SIGNIFICANTLY shorter. She was chatting with her co-worker the entire time she was cutting my hair and clearly missed all of the details I was telling her. My ears stuck out like satellite dishes and  I was not completely confident during my interview, but it did go well :)In any case, I do continue to go to this Supercuts, even though it is out of my way, just for Louise. She understands my weird cow licks and knows how to tame and cut my thick hair!

If you don't mind looking like a fool this place is tolerable.Experience:Sometimes I think these people are blind or "challenged".  The first time I came here I actually got a refund.  I made the mistake of having the girl  cut my bangs.  Let me preface with I'm Asian and any mistake to my bangs makes it look like I just came off the boat.  Some girls can pull it off, but I certainly cannot.  Even after yelling at her to stop cutting she continued.  The second time I went back was less terrifying.  You might wonder why I went back.  I have a poor memory and I refuse to pay $30 for a trim a street over on Newbury.  I learned not to let them touch my bangs, but the second time the girl changed my part to trim my hair.  She said that was the only way she knows how to cut it.  So when I changed the part back to how I normally wear it it looked ridiculous.  Overall:Will I go back?   Probably since I don't believe in spending a lot of money on my hair.  If you do decide to come, be insistent on how it's done and pay attention, because they're not paying attention.

If my stylist Richard ever finds out that I betrayed him...and not even with another over-priced, high brow stylist from an equally upscale salon...but with someone from SuperCuts...I don't think he would ever deign to touch my glorious mane again. That being said...I am slightly, albeit relunctantly, impressed with the service. For $35.00 I received a shampoo, cut and blowdry. Sounds expensive to some, but compared with the $80.00 Richard charges me (and I love him, I do)...it's a huge savings. I think her name was Nan...it could have been Pam...she was fast, efficient, and didn't try anything fancy. I walked away with a trim and a really good-looking blow-out. Can't promise I'll return (I like my Newbury salon experience complete with wine and massages)...but with times like these...who knows!?

Honestly this place sucks, and its sad because Marisol (one of the hair stylists) is awesome. I've been going here for a while but it's just awful. The front desk and receptionists here are worse than any other place in any business i've ever been to. You call and ask how long the wait is and they tell you 10 minutes and then you get there and it's an hour+. Or you schedule a walk in time (not necessarily an appointment time) and then they tell you that they have someone in the seat right now but it will only be 10-15 minutes, turns out there are 1 or 2 more people ahead of you waiting but they ignore telling you this until you've been sitting for 20-30 minutes. I have no problem waiting 15, 20 or even 30 minutes sometimes but at least tell me i'm going to have to wait so I can decide whether I have the time or not. Dont lie to me and wait til I've already wasted 20-30 minutes of my day and then tell me it will be another 30 minutes. It literally happens 90% of the time I go there.I wouldnt care if I had all the time in the world but I specifically try and go here during my lunch break from work or after work before going to my 2nd job. This place has absolutely no respect for their customers time. And before you think about saying "dude its a $16 haircut, calm down" trust me that's what has been keeping me going there for a while along with Marisol being awesome but I've been burned multiple times where I was told it would be a 10-15 minutes wait turned into 45 minutes and then i didn't have time to get a haircut because I had to go back to work and basically used my only break in 10-12 hour work days sitting in a F'n salon staring at my cell phone. Just not worth the stress to go back here. If you are unemployed or for some reason have all the time in the world go to this place because Marisol is great and it's cheap, but if you have a job and limited time let alone 2 jobs, stay away. I will gladly pay an extra $5 for surrounding places to get treated w/ respect and not have to deal the incompetant people working the desk. The girl with the long hair does an ok job at the front desk but the other 2 that i've seen there are the worst employees i've ever seen. Then after they realize they just wasted an hour of your time they just shrug it off and go back to clicking/texting away on their cell phones.

I don't really expect much from supercuts to begin with, so the fact that I made the time to write a review should tell you how irritated I am.I got a haircut here on 10/22. The girl running the desk was one of the surliest people that I have encountered during my time in Boston. More importantly, the haircut that I received was the worst that I have ever been subjected to. What I requested: number three on the sides, blended up to a little more than finger length on top- typically with gel thrown in and slightly messy. What I got: Number three buzz cut with what appears to be a faded faux hawk on the top of my head. There was no time to react, the 'stylist' just dove in. This is going to take several haircuts to correct. @#*!.

It was around 5:30p yesterday (Saturday) I had just finished some shopping and thought "Why don't I get a haircut?" I saw Supercuts across the street so I went in. I'd never been to one before and the woman working behind the counter was very nice and told me about a 10 minute wait. It took 17 minutes only because there were 4 people ahead of me. I don't remember the womans name who cut my hair but she was very pleasant and did a great job. Worth every penny. I'd highly reccomend this place to anyone. People today complimented me on my haircut. (Hopefully my regular barber doesn't read this I've been going to him for over 30 years).

I am terrified of haircuts. My boyfriend comes to this Supercuts often, and I was in desperate need of a haircut (it had been over a year... seriously). My hair was, at its longest point, down to my waist, and I was tired of the curly knots that would develop throughout the day.I wish I remember the woman who cut my hair, but she was a small Asian lady with a blue poof, and she worked magic. I told her I just wanted to dead ends off... and at first I was upset when I saw that she had disregarded what I had said and lobbed off my virtually-waist-length hair. It was up to my collarbone, and I would be lying if I said I didn't panic. I have had many a bad haircut, and I thought that this was going to be one of them. Then all of a sudden, my hair came back to life. There was a spring to the curls that hadn't been there for a long time, which was very exciting. She blow dried my hair out, and it still looks great. My hair has plenty of body, and she showed me what to do in order to style it both curly and straight. Will definitely be back...

Dear Supercuts,It's over. You never destroyed my hair, which I appreciate, but the cost wasn't worth not liking my haircut for the first week to week and a half afterwards.  I like my hair now, in that it doesn't look like it was recently cut, or that it's a short thing that I can't do anything with.Sincerely,John

I tend to go a long time between haircuts.  I know I need to go soon when people start asking me, "Are you in a band?" I know I need to go NOW when people start saying, "Can I help you, miss?"  So for me, it's pretty important a haircut be fairly good, or it's going to be a problem for a long time.  I've gone to this Supercuts a lot and it is, unfortunately, a little hit-or-miss.I've had some hair disasters here in Boston, not just at Supercuts.  I try to explain what I want, and I get resistance, confusion or fear.  Not because it's really extreme what I want--in fact, it's fairly basic--but because what I ask for seems so different from what I have when I walk in.  When I get a good haircut, I walk in looking like I should be playing for OK Go, and I walk out looking clean-cut enough to be a FBI agent.  Some hairstylists can't handle that, so I end up with choppy messes that grew into mullets, or massive cowlicks, or--as has happened more than once--looking like Bastian from the Neverending Story. Some of those disasters have happened at this Supercuts.  Sometimes, when I have had to try someone new it has turned out terrible.  However, some of the best cuts I've ever had were here, too.  Pam, who has left, used to give me exactly the cut I wanted every time.  Diana, who I believe is still there, gives me a very good cut every time.  She is never afraid to take off as much hair as I ask for, and always leaves it looking good.  It grows in just right, and I am always pleased with the job she does.  Some of the stylists here are not good at cutting men's hair, especially fairly thin hair like mine.  But some do a very good job, and I definitely recommend Diana.  One tip: if you can bring a photo of what you want, it'll help way more than any description you can give, and I have had much better results since I started bringing one in.

My husband has been going here since we moved to the area about a year ago. I, on the other hand, tend to be very hesitant about trusting my hair to people. I find someone I like and stick with it. That said, since moving here, I'd only gotten my hair cut once, at the Salon on 10 Newbury Street, and while the cut was okay, I wasn't WOW'ed enough by it or the stylists to return. With summer in full swing, and me in desperate need of a shorter cut, I decided to try out Supercuts. I got there around noonish on a Saturday, and expected to have to wait a while, however, they were able to take me right away. The woman who took care of me was wonderful (I'm terrible at names though, I think it was "Jo-Jo" or something like that?), and I'm more pleased with the cut I got here than my last cut at The Salon, and for a better price (about $24, after leaving a 25% tip)!I would agree with the people that say get there early if you're going in on a weekend though. I think I just missed the rush, as the lobby seemed to be full of waiting customers when I paid and left.Another plus is that you can both pay and have tip added on your credit card/debit card. As someone who never carries cash, this is always a positive for me!

I (just like every other positive review) get it: Supercuts is not for everybody. If your instructions are complicated enough that it takes more than a sentence or two, you may be out of luck. But in the city, I honestly can't find anywhere that beats a $15 haircut, and price is the bottom line for me.I wish I knew some specific stylists to recommend- I've had a lot of success with a middle-aged (possibly gay?) Asian guy, and a younger Asian chick (maybe named Helen), but I haven't had a BAD experience with anyone I've ended up with.

I've been hesitant to write a review for Supercuts. I would love to be one of the many hip youngsters here who can afford to try out all the chic expensive places in the Back Bay area. And you know what? I actually have tried a few Newbury Street Salons over the years, and most of them were not worth the cost. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend this Supercuts.I've been coming here for years and have had consistently great experiences. Not only the cuts themselves, but the overall service. I would actually give it 5 stars, but it's not a red carpet treatment kind of place.Back in March I decided to finally get rid of my long hair and get a new do. I was lucky enough to get Helen that day, and she gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Seriously. I've been to her 2 more times since then, and she is just awesome. She also seems to be popular, because I've had to wait in line to get to see her, even when I have an appointment.I was afraid I'd jinx myself by writing this review, but you know what -- more people need to know that Supercuts is a good place. I have gotten countless compliments on my hair, and that didn't happen when I went to those fancy places on Newbury Street.

It's so hard to find good hairstylists in Florida, most of them suck! But Ellie took her time with my hair and was awesome! My hair was down to my lower back and I came in to layer it out, and she did a fantastic job cutting and blowing it out. Will def come back! Think I found my hair girl! I have been cutting my own hair for a few years but now found someone that can cut it for me!

Don't show up at this place unless you call ahead.  I'm from out-of-state and went to Supercuts because of the national recognition.  The Supercuts in my area does not take reservations.  Had to wait for over 1-1/2 hours while 5 people were put ahead of me because they had reservations.  However, when I did finally get my haircut, Ashley was very nice and did a great job.

Tiffany gave me a smokin' hot faux hawk (a'la Pink!). She did an amazing job, the service was fast and friendly and the price is UNBEATABLE! After searching for years I have finally found a stylist in the area that I can trust to give me a great cut. I always wanted a bob style cut but never felt anyone could get the look right without having to pay a ridiculous amount of money. I showed Jovanna a picture of what I wanted and we talked about adjusting it to the shape of my face. She did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend having her cut your hair!

Hard to argue with the price and convenience of Supercuts.  Although I have had better cuts at higher end salons, I have also paid much more for those cuts and I am not sure that anyone can really tell the difference.  Stylists take instruction well and do not rush.  As other Yelpers have suggested, this Supercuts location delivers on expectations (unless you expect more from a chain than I do).

I'd prefer to review a locally owned barber, but not too many in the area. :-(Anywho...this place does have a couple people who know what they're doing.  I'm not one who demands a lot from my hair cutter, so feel free to be more agressive in your review.

Been going to Supercuts for many years, I know their haircuts are pretty much standard, but am not into anything fancy or expensive, and 95% of the time am satisfied.    This location has a stylist, Sarene, who is very experienced in the industry. She goes out of her way to make me satisfied for each of the 3 excellent haircuts have gotten from her.    I get the camouflage grey-hiding coloring each time, after transferring from another Supercuts, we went over the options and she figured the exact coloring the other shop did, the first time she colored my hair.  The call ahead feature also is convenient + I ask for her now.

First off, the service was friendly. The lady welcomed me with a warm welcome and made sure that I was being helped. Now to the haircut. For $17, the haircut was a good quality, the cut being pretty even. Although, the upper right side of my head has a small patch of hair that the hairdresser did not touch, even after I told her that it needed to be trimmed. Lastly, she gave me a warm towel to wipe the excess hair that was on my face during the cut. All in all, the experience was great and the place looked amazing, but since one side of my hair is uneven, I give it three stars. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants a simple, quick, and inexpensive cut!!!!

I went to this supercuts once and had a terrible haircut. I complained to Supercuts and they were great around giving me a voucher for a new haircut. I went again to this same location and again had an awful experience. I normally get a buzz cut. Somehow each time I get this simple cut here, they miss 40% of the hairs on my head and make it look terrible. My regular supercuts in Campbell does an excellent job. Not sure why this particular store is consistently bad.

The one star is because I cannot figure out an option for zero star. Not only is there lack of organization at the location but the staff is extremely unprofessional. I understand the place is busy, we checked in online and waited for an hour, because we were told that is the wait time. An hour later Danelle and her colleague told us it will be another hour, and this was the second day in a row they did this to us. They could have told us two hours and we would have gone elsewhere. All they did was make a face and tell us they could not accommodate us. The staff was rude, unprofessional and disorganized. Would not recommend this location at all. The Sunnyvale location is much better and wait times much shorter. The staff at the Sunnyvale location is also very professional and efficient.

I went here yesterday and I wanted more than a standard haircut, I wanted a jet-black coloring job.   The stylist who took care of me, Sarene, had over 20 years of hair styling experience, said it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out, she knew exactly what she was doing.  Because I'm just reaching the age when my hairline is starting to recede a bit at the temples, she cut it in exactly the best way to maximize the look of my hair and was careful with applying the right solutions in the right proportions to keep the dye in my hair and off my skin. She was sweet the whole time and did a lot of little things to assure my comfort, saying nice things like how good it was to be pampered, complimenting my looks, and giving me a scalp massage during pre-treatment and another when the color rinsed out, and the "tea tree" treatment which helped lock in the color.  She also recommended an excellent product to keep my colored hair healthy afterward, and I'm very pleased with her work and look forward to going back for a touch-up and future treatments.  The whole process took about 1.5 hours and was reasonably priced at $45 for the color job plus $10 for the tea tree treatment.I made sure to tip her generously for her work, because she totally deserved it!This place does take appointments, so if you're planning on a great cut, style, or color, I would call and ask specifically for Sarene's service. And if you're a member of AAA, don't forget to bring in your card to get a 20% discount on everything, services and products alike, something you will need to ask for as they don't tell you about it up front. They also have a "cut card" where you get stamped every time you come in and your 13th cut is free.  But again, you will need to ask for it, or ask them to stamp it if you've already got one.

I was in desperate need of a trim, as I was several months in to growing out a super short pixie cut. Realizing this, I scoured yelp for a good place to go which offered walk-in cuts. Supercuts delivered! My stylist was Emma. She made my in-between hair look normal again, and so much more stylish. She checked with me throughout the process, and made sure I was happy with the look.I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and there was no wait. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this location. I didn't feel like the stylist was rushed while working on my hair. The price was great for a shampoo, cut, and style.Overall, great location, good price, and an awesome new hair style!

I went here and I got Jennifer as my stylist, she was the best.  I told her I wanted a haircut, and she suggested one that fit my face shape.  I went along with it, and ended up getting a fantastic a-line bob that was great.   I got many compliments. It cost me 15 dollars, Jennifer is great and she gives you suggestions on what type of haircut is the best for your face... I will be coming back next time with Jennifer, she takes her time.

Is $130 for a haircut and highlights too much? I have long hair and have never gotten high lights before and wanted to go somewhere "cheap" this doesn't seem cheap. And it's gonna take 3 hours... Oy vey.  And they don't have color samples I just have to trust they know what they're doing...at least it sounds like they do. This review is of stylist ORALIA. I can't review any of the other staff members because Oralia did such a good job on my hair the first time I went to this Supercuts after it opened that I never wanted to try anyone else. I'm clearly not the only one that feels that way because Oralia usually has a waiting list that starts as soon as the store opens in the morning. Don't worry - you don't have to go down there and sit in the lobby reading magazines all day. You can call ahead and ask for Oralia's schedule; they will reserve your time slot for you over the phone! I've tried other stylists at other Supercuts locations and even at higher priced salons... believe me, you'll always get quality and consistency from Oralia and you'll be like me - calling in for an appointment every few weeks for years to come.

I waited two weeks to write this review because it's important to see how a haircut grows out before you determine the quality of the cut.  I'm a guy who prefers to keep his hair on the longer side without using a razor.  Colleen cut my hair and did a great job!  When I initially sat down in the chair, she listened to my preferences and then made her own suggestions.  I went along with her suggestions and was very happy with the end result.  My wife also loved the cut, which is always a good sign.  After two weeks, it's still looking good, even on my ugly mug.  I would suggest asking for Colleen the next time you venture into Mountain View Supercuts.

Ok, first I should preface. I am a female, and I don't really believe in spending a ton of money on haircuts. I usually get mine layered or straight below my collarbone and I probably go for a haircut once a year. I don't even come for trimmings. Usually they just chop off about 3 inches. I have been very satisfied with this place. I started coming during their grand opening and I have been back since at least 4 times. The staff has turned over a lot. I am not quite sure why. When you come, I think you can make an appointment, but I always drop by. Usually there are about 2 people ahead of me, but I come on weekends, which is probably their busiest time. I usually get the standard haircut, no bangs or anything and no shampoo. I have never left unhappy. In fact, they always double check with me to make sure they are doing what I want. The staff is pretty professional and always curteous. And the price is fantastic (about $20 including my tip). I have never had the waxing or the color, so I cannot comment on those, but if you are very low maintenance, you might want to give this place a shot.

avoid short haircuts by tien.  i told her i didn't want a short haircut that looks like a boy's haircut.  that's what i got and it wasn't even well done (the manager had to clean up the haircut, but couldn't do anything about the lack of length due to tien's enthusiastic snipping away).   the manager told me they didn't expect me to pay.  one star on yelp means "Eek! Yes yes, let the mocking begin... I'm cheap and I went to Supercuts.  I am very low maintenance when it comes to hairstyles, so a trim is a trim is a trim. And yes, they did a fine job with the trim.However...They also do eyebrow waxing.  I decided, hey, why not, I'm there and had some time to kill, let's get the ol' eyebrows waxed.  And yes, it hurt - it always does. But it turns out I got burned, quite literally.  Big ol' red slash below my eyebrow with some red tiny blisters now too.  Very sexy, let me tell you.  Looks like one of the swipes with the wax was too darned hot.I called the manager yesterday and she was apologetic but there's not really anything they can do at this point.  I'd probably go back from a trim because they can't muck that up, but I won't be letting them get near me with hot wax again.

And we have always been to Supercuts till we came to California and this i first time he tried here ----Its terrible.I am not hair specialist , so cants tell you whats wrong--but the way it was done ( in hurry ) the person who did the haircut was very uncomfortable it seems in her costume :(.

I got a simple trim with no shampoo.  The cut was ok, but when she was done, she didn't even dry or brush it.  I left the salon with long, blonde (looked greasy when it was wet), wet, and tangled hair.   I thought that maybe she wasn't supposed to with no shampoo, but my friend got the same thing, and the other lady dried and brushed her hair.  After she left me, she went in back and talked on her phone.  She also came out when I was going to pay (because we were paying together), and expected a tip.  Never go there.   The reason I give then one star is because they have candy and magazines.

I always get my hair cut here, I have long straight hair and just get ends trimmed, so it's not complicated. But I have been to some places that cut way too much off or leave the line crooked, so it is possible to screw up even my simple needs - I have never had this location mess up my hair in about 5 years of going there. This Supercuts location sometimes includes a nice neck and shoulder massage along with the scalp massage - something that I find very relaxing and a really nice touch. I do get a shampoo and cut, and generally I do not blow dry my hair so unless it is cold out I decline a blow dry. I am always satisfied with my hair cut, and usually leave feeling very pampered and relaxed!

I was hesitant to try SuperCuts as it took me a long time to grow my hair down to my back.Luckily, the person who cut my hair, her name was KIM.She did an amazing job, taking her time and measuring everything.  Even as more customers poured in, she didn't rush to cut my hair like the other stylists did.  The other women there, went through 3 customers while Kim was still working on my hair.I love my hair.  I recommend you cut your hair with KIM and no one else.

Had a $2 coupon for haircut, so I tried Supercuts.  Tried to see if a cheap cut made any difference from my regular place at JulieQ's.  I'm not very fussy about my hair - short and neat is the order of the day.But ... ughs - they let me out with a haircut that seemed like a bowl was put over my head.  And without the discount, they aren't that much cheaper.

I don't know why I keep going back to this place, probably because it is near my house and I don't really know where else to go. The last two times I've gone I've been asked if I'd like my haircut with scissors or a clipper. That was kind of weird but now I realize it was the same female cutting my hair. After I shrugged my shoulders she went ahead and grabbed the scissors and started snipping away. She asked how much i wanted off to begin with, and I told her an 1in and 1/2. She showed me an inch & 1/2 with her fingers, which was almost 3 inches. WHOOAA.. I said.. Ugh no more like this, and made an inch with my fingers. She laughed, and now that I look back at it, the laugh was a bit demonic.  My hair was probably 5 inches in length to begin with. Just wanted to clean it up a bit. Well as my haircut concluded, I realized that I had another buzz cut. my hair is about 1/4 of an inch now on the sides and 1/2 on the top..  So .. I think I've learned my lesson, again.. well atleast until next time.

My family goes here regularly and my youngest sister raved about her cut from Amanda. I went on a Sunday, maybe early afternoon. The wait was very short. The hair I walked in with was frizzy with awful splits end, pulled into an "I have kids and don't have time to do my hair" ponytail. I really didn't know what kind of style to get, but Amanda asked all the right questions and gave me an easy, layered cut that still looks amazing , even in todays wet weather. Amanda will be appreciative if you grab her a Starbucks coffee while you're waiting for your cut.

Supercuts is . . . not quite super.  It's OK though. My boyfriend has gotten some haircuts here and, I'll be honest, it's hit or miss with these guys.  If you need a quick cut, you might want to go to Supercuts because they are really quick.  But if there's a line, I would suggest going somewhere else.My boyfriend had one hairdresser there that was amazing.  She would cut his hair in 10 minutes and it would be perfect every time!  Unfortunately, she left though and they won't tell us where she went!So it really is hit or miss with these guys.  Sometimes the risk pays off, sometimes you walk out lopsided.  What can you do?!

I was very disappointed with this Supercuts. I used to go here, and it was okay until I found someone I really liked. My husband went in the other day to get a buzz cut (like literally, with a buzzer), but he wanted the sides & back a bit shorter. This took 30 minutes of using scissors, and when we came home the "blended" area was so uneven, we should have just asked him to use one size. Today, I took my son in because picture day snuck up on me (my usual girl was closed). It took 25 minutes of using scissors (again!) on my 4 year old. I wanted the sides & back trimmed shorter (like with a buzzer and a comb), but all I got was a straight trim around the back and sides, plus his front bang also looks straight cut. I pretty much paid $17 plus tip for a bowl cut that I could have done at home. I hate to give bad review to a business close to my house, but really, they need to up the skills a little. I will never go back here again.

WORST HAIRCUT EXPERIENCE. I have been coming here for about a year, but today was my last visit. I did not have to wait long at all, but once I was getting my haircut, the stylist stopped on five different occasions to either answer the phone or greet a customer. About half way through my haircut she was called over the shampoo area. Five minutes later I was informed by another stylist that my stylist would not be coming back to finish my haircut, and that she was needed in the shampoo area. I then was told it would be about 10 minutes before someone else could finish my haircut. A few minutes later, the stylist to my right finished with the customer she was working with. She asked me to switch into her chair, at which point she asked "so what are we doing today?". I replied, "I am not really sure, and you should probably check with the stylist that walked away half way through my haircut." Needless to say, not the best experience and not the best haircut. How can you simply walk away from someone when you are half way through their haircut? Worst of all, no apology, and no acknowledgment that my simple haircut took an hour.

How do you expect an infant to obey n sit still As a parent we try our best that they don't move But this was so far the most ridiculous way of responding to a customer I suggest next time any one calls the answer should be that we do not cut hair for infants.

This place is a joke. After signing in I was assured it would only be a 15 minute wait. 45 minutes later I was finally put in a chair, which I get it, that's fine, but when I asked for a simple fade the lady informed me she didn't know how to do that.....say what?? So I was taken out of the chair and sent back to the waiting area for the next available hair stylist. After waiting another 20 minutes for her to get done, she decides it's time for her lunch break and leaves. 10 more minutes after that I finally decide to stop being stupid and sitting there for no reason and leave. Never go to this place if you want a haircut because apparently they aren't capable of giving one.

Really nice place to get your haircut. The women are all super friendly and do a really good job of cutting hair. They work pretty quick so it never seems to be a long wait. They have reasonable prices as well and if you're not satisfied with your haircut within a week you can go and get a free touch up with your receipt.

Worst experience ever for me. I had long, thick, curly, black hair hair that touched my back. I had recently suffered hair damage and wanted it cut into a style. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted which would've around 5-6 inches of hair. Instead the girl cut my hair completely off, my hair above my ears and can't be styled. She ruined my hair. I would not recommend going to Supercuts if you are Black and have curly textured hair. The only thing I've been doing is crying.

I went there on a whim while I was leaving Homeland one day. The male stylist who did my hair was super nice. He listened to what I had to say during our consultation and considered everything I said. He gave me the best cut I have ever had. I had a shampoo and conditioner as well and he massaged my scalp, almost putting me to sleep. I am planning on getting a color from him soon. He hasn't been there long, and I know these types of places usually run people through like they are cattle, but I hope he stays there, because I plan on being a permanent customer for him. I believe his name was Cory. If you need a cut, I say go in and ask for him. You won't regret it. I certainly don't.

Horrible. Couldn't do a proper fade to save her life. Didn't line me up. Cosmetologist... Overall I felt very unhappy with the end result especially after I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. Would not recommend going here for a men's cut. Not to mention my mom went here to lighten up her hair/go blonde and she came back with her hair darker than before she went in. She even showed them pictures of how she wanted it and they still couldn't get it right.

The manager/supervisor cut my hair. I had several pieces of hair that she missed and I had to cut it myself. A customer came in and gave incorrect information to one of the stylists. The worker handled the situation in a professional manner. The manager/supervisor was criticizing the worker in front of all of us. Telling her she should not make mistakes. The worst part was the customer was wrong. While she was criticizing the worker she jabbed my neck so hard with the shears a day later my neck was still sore. I don't why I didn't complain. I told my son never to go to Supercuts and he said he was already telling his friends not to go there because of the bad experience he had.

Horrid customer service. Lady didn't look at the picture I brought in once. Looks nothing like what I wanted, nor is my haircut the same length on each side!!!! Strongly advise that no one get their hair cut here.

I honestly regret getting my hair cut there. When I walked into the salon the lady that was going to cut my hair was blow drying and styling her own hair. I felt like the hair dresser took no effort in cutting my hair. One side of my hair was shorter than the other. These people don't know how to cut hair. I recommend that you don't go there.

No, it is not normal, I am not that stupid. So, NO, I do NOT recommend Super Cuts Charlottetown.

Used to really like this location but it's gone downhill apparently. Asked about 4 times for what I wanted during the cut. It never happened. Everything I requested at the beginning was not completed. During the cut she seemed very preoccupied with what was going on outside instead of looking at her work. In the end I was left with a shaved side 3+ inches farther when compared to the other side with no blending whatsoever. This is by far one of the worst cuts I have ever had. Now I'm left to fix this horrible mess myself.

Went in looking to get a long Taylor Swiftlike bob and came out looking like Arya Stark, at best. Called in advance to book an appt but they were surprised when I showed up for it. I asked for Marie and she didnt listen to a thing I said. She spent just as much time talking to other customers as she did to me, only realizing she was being rude about halfway through. After my cut, she kind of mocked it, saying she doesnt like choppy but if i do she hopes i like my choppy choppy hair, laughing the whole time. It took her half an hour tops, when every other stylist Ive gone to needs about an hour. Would not recommend.

I agree with everyone else that it can be tough to get a walk-in cut. If you call ahead, they give a pretty accurate time - I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes if I show up when they tell me to show up. After that, it is pretty much an average Super-Cuts experience, and I have never come out with a haircut that I was unhappy with. I think much of the vitriol in the reviews is there because of people who are butt-hurt from trying to walk in and having to wait while the over-worked staff try to catch up with the backlog (admittedly, they need to get better at this aspect).

Told the lady how I wanted my haircut 3 times and she repeated it twice. Shave the sides short with 2, leave finger length hair on top. She shaved my head into a buzzcut. She started shaving and went "oopps, I'm so sorry." Not only that, but she had cheap clippers that kept heating up and burning my head. I told her, than she kept going and burned my ear. I kept my cool, even when they were discussing whether or not to charge me because she butchered my hair. They charged me $7 for a haircut I could have done myself. Not only that but the other girl suggested mid butcher that I style my hair like "one of them Asian people." Very unprofessional staff. I have been a client at Supercuts since May 2015 and Chris helped me correcting my damaged hair and a coloring I made myself at home and after that I went back in July and Chris gave a new look and I was so happy with it. She was wonderful to me. Last Saturday, September 12 2015 got back and didn't find Chris, apparently she is having a family crisis and is on work leave. This last time Jenna did my hair color and it was wonderful as well. She was so sweet making sure I was confortable, using all her knowledge and asking me about what color I would like (I have an "ombre" style) and she worked the entire time very professionally. I recommend if you need any color or want a new look go to Jenna, she will help you all the way. She provided me with bottle water, and making sure the hair dryer was at the right temperature, etc. Love my Supercuts at St. Thomas Shopping Center, Owings Mills.

They don't know how to cut women's hair either. And after she cut mine, I didn't like the end product but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to hurt Chris' feelings. But I knew something wasn't right when she was cutting my hair and I could hear the scissors literally ripping my hair. If she reads this, she will say that I'm bashing her because we took her in and welcomed her into our home to help her save money, but "No"...it's not that at all. She is an alcoholic and a fighter. No wonder she can't keep a man in her life. A total "Train Wreck". I'll never go back, not even if they offered me a free cut. Thank you but NO Thank you.

I will not be returning to this location, or quite possibly any Supercuts in the future. I went in on 02/23/2015 for a standard cut - and left with a mess. The stylist, Constance, did no justice for my hair. I had asked for a mid-high fade (from skin to 3) with a scissor clip at the top. However. I left with a 1 to 1.5 fade (with lines) on the sides, no fade in, to a scissor clip at top with no transition into the hair. I'll have to wait another 4 weeks and continue to search for a shop that will be able to perform this cut.

At the beginning of this summer I decided it was time to change my hair. A good friend of mine recommend this Super cuts so that's exactly where I went. When I arrived I was greeted by a blond lady who introduced herself as Daiana. Right off the bat she had a great attitude and made feel very comfortable. As I have never coloured my hair before I had no idea what I should do. Daiana explained to me exactly how it all worked and what I should expect. She showed me various colours, options and examples which was a great help! Through out the whole time I was very comfortable, she made great conversation and was very personable. She knew exactly what she was doing and how to work with my thin and dry hair. When the final product was revealed I was taken back with how amazing it looked! I was delighted that I turned out so well since I was so nervous at the start! Till today I still get compliments from friends and colleagues. Daiana did a great job and delivered exactly what she promised; fuller, healthier looking hair and lots of compliments! Soo happy I went here, I definitely recommend others here and I will be back in the future!

I thought i would get my haircut over the Christmas/New Year Holiday of 2014. There was one blonde lady in the shop. Halfway through my haircut her clippers broke and she didn't know how to fix them. I had to go to my car with half my hair cut get my screw driver and come back to fix it for her (loose screws). When she announced she was done i was shocked, my hair was so uneven and patchy, i asked her to please trim 1 particularly patchy part but she seemed to think my hair cut was fine as is and wanted to leave my hair the way it was. I immediately paid and left and went straight to another barber shop to get a second opinion. The new shop literally said " OH MY GOD" and gave me a free recut after i told them the story. how the owners left someone so stupid in charge of the shop is shocking.

I have been going here for about 2 years to the same stylist. I went in today and was told there were three appointments ahead of me. I advised that I had no problem waiting. I sat down to wait and the stylist and receptionist start to complain about the appointment that I had just set and called me frazzled because I wasn't sure what I wanted (I want a new style but I wanted to talk to the sylist first). Don't want the appointment, then complaining about me in front of me is the quickest way to lose it. I advised another stylist that I was leaving and why then I walked out the door and will never be back. I will never understand people that complain about getting business and being popular.

I brought my brothers here after we went over to Walmart for a deal they had but they were full but suggested to go across the street because they were the same place. So we went over there and I told the ladies what to do with their hair. I asked for my youngest brother for ice-pick sideburns but the lady with purple hair cut them half off and extremely round. For my other brother I asked for a trim on the top and shave the side. The Russian lady did the complete opposite and cut the top off and gave him razor burn. To top it all off when we went to the register to pay she charged me $31! I asked why it was so expensive and the Russian lady said "its because we use special tools". If scissors, a Razor, and fingers are special tools then I've been getting discounted this whole time. I payed and left no tip, Terrible service. Special tools my a**!

Was a client at this store for 3 years - the manager Estrella cut and colored my hair - she was rare at super cuts - she had skills ands experience my color was perfect every time and my cuts were always what I asked for - the poor rating??? well it has to do with the company not my stylist. They I had another manager who decided she wanted to make more money - her stores overall productivity was not great so their answer - take away the store from the manager Estella worked very hard to get her store productive and also turn her store from being dirty and unorganized to a pleasant place to visit - great business sense - you are unproductive - you get to takeaway someone els's store and are rewarded - you work your ass off and they take it all away from you - well needless to say my stylist quit and her entire staff walked out the door with her except 1 so needless to stay I lost my stylist - the store lost a good manager and staff and I have no doubt that the store will go back to the filthy unfriendly mess it was before Estrella was there...

I came into this store to get a hair cut. I asked for this soft feminine short hair cut that had longish wisps in the back and on the side. I ended up leaving this store in tears because there was nothing feminine about the haircut I got. My hair was chopped and butchered. I have never had such a horrible haircut in my life. There was no excuse for this. I showed the gal who cut my hair exaxtly what I wanted. What I got in no way resembled what I asked for. Instead of leaving with the feminine cut I wanted, I ended up walking out of that shop with a very masculine chopped mess. Your haircutters really need to learn to cut hair to avoid this in the future. I will never go to another Supercuts again.

The stylist was nice. I decided to treat myself instead of cutting my own hair like usual. Sadly, talking was more of a priority than cutting my hair. When i got home, i noticed there was a chunk of uncut hair right on top of my head. I had to fix it myself, probably making it worse. I will not return. I guess cutting my own hair is the best bet.

I didn't catch her name but the blonde chubby chick that works there did a terrible job with my hair. If you have curly hair, don't let her cut it. First she completely wet my hair, which is fine, but it's like she forgot it was curly or just didn't care, so she cut it too short and when it dried it was even shorter. Plus one side of my hair is longer then the other. And i asked for all one length. And when she finished she didn't let me look at the finished product. I didn't get too look at it until I got out and in front of a mirror; I cried. Too short. And what's worse is that I tipped her. I even showed her a pic of what i wanted twice before she cut it and the length wasnt even right. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT FROM THIS PERSON.

Tuesday December 4th 2012 - So bad I can't say enough on how hideous my hair turned out! I recently moved to Ancaster and went to Supercuts at 1508 Upper James Street in Hamilton it was definitely the first and last time I will go there. It was the worse experience I have ever had at a Supercuts or at any hair salon for that matter. I was appalled by how rude and unprofessional this so called stylist Tina was, not to mention she was the worst colorist I have ever encountered. I asked her just to do my roots I walked out with tiger stripes on my freshly done highlights and with hair color on my face, chin, neck, hand and eyelids. Fortunately I was wearing all back because no doubt I have color all over my clothes as well. I truly believe Tina should trade in her color brush for a paint brush cause she could paint a room in 15 mins. the way she slaps it on. Her cutting techniques not much better. I advise you to avoid this place like the plague.

Told me the wait was 25-30 min. After 45 minutes of wait, the "stylists" started doing each other's hair. At this point I am told to wait 10 more minutes. They refused more clients under the argument that they would be closing too late. Complete disrespect to the customers, apparently not interested in increasing the tip income for the day and prefer to care about their own cut. Insulting, shameful and a waste of time. Being cheaper does not give you the right to mock the customer. This was my first and last attempt with this chain. Going back to Sport Clips.

The older asian woman refused to cut it the way he wanted and said, "no you want this" and promptly shaved the sides of his head so he was almost bald on the sides instead of just trimming it. I quit my full-service barber and started going to Supercuts thinking they were still significantly less expensive. Turns out they're only $1 cheaper than my full-service barber—and that's after a recent $2 price increase at my full-service barber's. So apparently until recently they were actually more expensive—and they don't "shave the outline" or use scissors much or offer any of that old-fashioned barber shop ambiance. I'm not complaining about the haircut, I can't really judge the quality of that since mine is quite straightforward—it would be hard to get mine wrong. But the advertising hype goes on about the great prices, leading one to believe it's an exceptional bargain. The prices aren't a rip-off, but they're not an exceptional bargain either, and that's without the additional touches and ambiance you could get for that extra dollar elsewhere. It's kinda like a "discount" store that isn't really a discount—hence an extra star subtracted.

My husband and I went to this Supercuts together--both of us are really low maintenance and want the cheapest and least fuss haircuts possible. I've been through many bad haircuts because of my frugality, including situations involving college roommates and kitchen shears...I'm used to it and get over bad haircuts quickly. This Supercuts changed my mind forever. I'll never try one again, which breaks my heart even now, saying it. Damien took my shoulder-length hair and a picture with FOUR angles to show exactly what I wanted and gave me a blunt page boy that was layered on only one side, half an inch shorter on the other, and two inches long in the back. The entire time he told me I was in good hands, to trust Damien, he knows what he's doing. When I went to a real salon to get it fixed (the very next morning--I may be a cheapskate but it was WORTH the $60 to fix it), she pointed out two "holes" in the back by my neck that she couldn't fix. The scissors had actually dipped up. Four weeks later it hasn't grown out and blended in yet. Even my husband, who is super sweet and not very observant, told me we should probably stay in until I got a correctional haircut. His haircut was bad as well. Different stylist, but they seemed to share the same level of incompetency. She forgot to put the apron on him and dumped tons of hair down his shirt during the process. His hair is super simple--short on the sides, longer on the top, and he still came out with a totally uneven flat-top. After years of searching for an affordable haircut in Chicagoland, I'm convinced that any decent stylist works at one of the $60 places, and it's simply not worth risking it to try these places.

I'd rather cut my hair with a butter knife! I walked in with no one else in the room and was quickly sat (no problem there). I told the lady that I wanted a "buzz cut" like around a 2 or 3. She quickly talked me down to a 1 1/2 (I didn't know the difference), and now I look like Edward Norton in American History X. I never wanted the "bic" look. The hair cut took maybe 4-5 minutes and in that time 2 or 3 other customers came in. She rushed me out of the chair (without even brushing off the hair all over my face/neck). I was in shock as I paid for the haircut and regret giving a tip at all (I'm too nice to not tip- no matter how bad the service). I went back to the car and still noticed long hairs in the middle of my head and around my ears. I can truly say that I will NEVER get another haircut from that hole.

I have been to this locations several times and have been pleased with my cut. However, i went in on August 28th at approximately 4:45 pm and had my hair cut by Karen. She spent no time at all edging my my hairline. I had to have my girlfriend finish the job, while she was at it I had her shave my neck because that was not done well either. The top back of my hair sticks straight up in the air because it was not cut right (never have had that happen before). During the cut Karen kept looking out the window, at one point she actually stopped cutting and walked to take a closer look outside. No idea what she was doing. Finally, after she spent 5 minutes on my cut I asked for a shampoo. She told me her back was hurting and she could not do it. If that was the case she should have mentioned that before I ever sat in her chair. I would have had someone else do it but she was alone. I have never had my hair cut by someone who took as little pride in their profession as Karen. I expect I response to this post and would like a free cut. By someone else. If D is still employed there I prefer her, she is an example that Karen should try and be...

I've been cutting my own hair for over a decade, but needed a special cut for a Halloween costume. Went here and they gave me the best Forrest Gump fade. The stylist took the time and worked with me to make sure it was perfect, and it absolutely was. Though I don't go out to get my hair cut often, if I do, it will be here!

Me and my brother went there on Sunday because it was close to our home. We wanted to do a hair cut and go to church Sunday afternoon. When I told her how my flat-up should be, she started. I saw her doing wrong moves and I explained her again how I want it done, she said "its not how they thought her to do"... When she finished doing the way she was thought, I had to go home and fix it myself in front of a mirror and I still hate how my hair looks... My brother thou cant even fix his haircut!!! Its so short and uneven...!!! I would do a better job, I'm sure!!! Next time I will read a review before going somewhere... P.S. My hair was done by their manager... We couldn't even go to church by the way :( I'm never coming back.

Our stylist complained to and chatted with a friend the entire time she was cutting my daughter's hair. She had rude rap music playing quite loudly and was very unprofessional. We walked to the car and I looked at my daughter's hair. One side was an inch linger than the other, and it wad very uneven all the way around. We walked back in, and before we could say anything, the stylist said "is one side longer than the other?". She knew when she finished that it was poorly done and sent us on our way anyway. Unforgivable.

Went in for a trim. Got a stylist who had moved here from Mexico through Chicago. Told her what I needed. She seemed to understand. Initially she told me that she wouldn't do it. I was a little surprised. Then, I ended up with something very different from what I had asked for, but it seems to be ok. Silly me...I believe that when we ask for a certain way that we (the customer) get what we want - not what they want. When will I learn?!

They are really bringing in some talented and creative staff. I have been looking for a new stylist for nearly 10 years, I finally found him here in Curtis. Highly recommend him, and the environment is wonderful and family friendly. They have also worked well, and very patiently, with my son who is on the Autism Spectrum and does not do well with hair cuts. I have to say I am beyond thrilled with the staff over all, how we are treated, the care they put into their work, and the feeling I have when I leave.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was greeted and served immediately. However, I think I got the new girl. This lady sat me down in the chair and gave me a hack job. All I get when I go in to get a haircut is a trim straight across the back. No layers, no dye, nothing special at all. Just a simple straight cut across, and I asked for 1.5 inches off. Apparently, that is very difficult to do. At the end of my service, the left side of my hair was about 2 inches longer than the right side. On top of this, the cut was incredibly jagged. The lady cutting my hair noticed because she said, "did you have layers before?" No, I did not. But now, it looks like scissors attacked my previously beautiful hair. I was absolutely mortified walking out of the salon, especially when I overheard a man getting a haircut next to me saying "I didn't want to be rude, but that looked pretty bad. Does she (my hairdresser) need glasses?" The lady doing his hair laughed and thought it was humorous that my hair dresser had ruined my hair. How humiliating. The first thing I did after this awful cut was go to Walmart and buy hair cutting scissors so I could fix this atrocity. When I got home, my roommates said, "no offense, but it looks really really bad." I had long, pretty hair prior to this, and I cried on my way home because of the embarrassment. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.

Absolutely Horrible !! Went in for the first time there for a hair cut. Asked for long layers , even showed Brandee a picture of what I wanted. My hair going in long to my lower back. Came out with it wacked above shoulders. I say wacked because that's just what happened. I couldn't tell how bad it was when I left out of there because hair was still wet. After drying I can see that it is not even on the sides. One side shorter than the other. It is just blunt cut. All different lengths and uneven. The worse cut I have ever had!!!! I can't do anything with my hair now it's just terrible!! I do not recommend this place and if you do go there don't let Brandee near your hair. I don't like being mean about people but my experience was awful .

After requesting a couple corrections to my haircut the stylist Mavis's demeanor and attitude changed. She said she would never cut my hair again, after this. All I requested were to even out the sides and top. This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in Fountain Hills, and will never give them my business again. I would urge you to steer clear of Mavis, or you could end up needing emergency hair repair.

Risa is the best! I moved to AZ 2 yrs. ago and have been to quite a few salons in Scottsdale, they butchered my hair...I finally just walked into Supercuts in Fountain Hills and I received the best cut I've had in a long time! All the girls are great...but Risa is my favorite. I have thick, wavy hair...she did a great job on thinning it out (texturizing) and giving me an actual hair style. Don't pay ridiciculous prices..go to Supercuts and see Risa.

I have had three cuts at this place. So I guess it deserves a review. Two of the cuts (the first and third times) were nice. My hair looked good for days after these cuts. The girls who did this fine job were Dawn and Brenae. The second cut wasn't particularly great, which is why I don't remember the name of the girl who cut my hair. I would recommend it. Don't expect classy and fancy service. It will be mostly a rush-rush affair, considering that this place gets mostly college kids looking for a quick cut. Also, it is likely overpriced considering Pittsburgh prices. I am sure you could find a better place for haircuts at a lesser price. I am a tad lazy. Update: I tried Dawn a second time and the attention to detail wasn't as consistent as the first cut. She cut my hair unnecessarily short. It was not bad but nothing to talk about.

My cut was rushed, and very little care was given to make my hair cut good. I had to correct the guy multiple times on big things like the fact that one side was longer than the other. I didn't realize until I got home that my hair cut is actually uneven and there is a gouge in my hair line that i didn't initially see. It doesn't help that the electric shears he used were dull and taking clumps off free hand is not a good way of doing it. Also I didn't see any of the tools being sterilized which I though they had to do. On the plus side it took like 6 min and it was only $14, which is good because im going to need to buy another hair cut.

STAY AWAY FROM BRITTNEE COLLINS. I went in for a "trim". Just getting my dead ends cut off. I ended up with the right side of my head shorter than the left side. The right side also had choppy layers (that I did not ask for), and the left side had no layers. AWFUL. Also a big chunk missing from the right side, which is now much thinner than the left. Cried for 4 hours. DO NOT GO HERE. FOR ANYTHING.

I went on for an eyebrow wax and specifically told the hairdresser that I just wanted them trimmed up, the usual. Not only was she so rough with me that she literally rubbed skin off my eyelid, but she took it upon herself to completely change the shape of my eyebrows altogether. Now my eyebrows are barely there and look like an accident that happens in middle school where you accidentally way overpluck them and end up looking like you just drew 2 lines above your eyes. It was the worst experience I've had here so far and I don't think I'll be coming back.

Marie has given me the best cuts of my life. She does a great shampoo/scalp massage. I constantly have strangers on the street compliment my hair. I just moved across country and my hair was just an untamed mess. I read some of the reviews here and some of the reviews on yelp. It was close by, so I gave it a try. And I was lucky! I got my haircut from Mary, she was really nice and friendly. She gave me a great haircut, exactly what I asked for and made a troll like myself somewhat acceptable for public appearance. I would recommend her, but don't go cutting when I do - I don't want to have to wait in any lines! The place itself was really clean and I got my haircut without much of a wait (though I haven't been around at peak times).

BRANDI CANNOT DO A TEXTURE CUT. She's also a massive buzz kill -- about 4 foot tall, bad face, flat as a board, and very unpleasant demeanor. I think she has a massive inferiority complex toward good looking people; at least she showed one toward me lol. I used to get cut there by a girl named Amber who was great. After she left, things went downhill. Brandi actually did me a favor. I kept going back because I assumed there was nowhere else in center city to get a cut for less than $30. After Brandi's shoddy effort, I expanded my search and found places around chinatown that do "short hair" men's cuts for a buck less than Supercuts. Cut includes shampoo and conditioner at no charge, and the stylists are great. They take their time and do texture cuts with the precision of a surgeon. My hair's never looked better.

Absolutely terrible. Maybe this place only does ladies but for a men's haircut, what they did to my head was shameful. I get a 3 on the sides and a trim on top with a rounded neck. The girl was so quick with everything. The trim was uneven and she combed it upwards to hide the non-existent 'fade'. I had to go down the street to a real barber shop to fix it! I shouldn't have paid anything. Go here at your own risk it seems.

I have been going to the $110-per-visit salons for a while now thinking that less expensive haircuts would be a disaster (and many years ago, I had gone into a salon in S. Philly, paid $20 for a hair cut, and it was a disaster. This thought stayed with me for years). I saw a great review of Supercuts and decided to take a chance. It's a walk-in set-up, and as I waited my turn, I saw young stylists doing beautiful work on people of all ages. The young woman who took care of me (Trish) washed my hair, combed a very precise part, sectioned and clipped, gave me a beautiful and clean cut, then did the blow out---and my hair looked GREAT! Today's style---a professional and attractive blunt cut with some layers...I was so pleased. She said that cutting hair is "what we do." The stylists receive education every three months on the latest trends...and it shows. I really am a convert! I paid $30 for a wash, cut, and blow dry for my long hair. I highly recommend Supercuts!

My hair was butchered. I will not recommend this place ever, to anyone. All I needed was a little off my neck and about an inch everywhere else. Now my left side looks like it got caught in a brush and I had to cut it out and my right side looks like fine. I told her that it was uneven and she took a bit off and said all done. All done!! I look like a kid that got a hold of her mom's scissors.
