I was told that I could come in and get my tires rotated quickly. It took a few hours. I asked whether there was an updated front air dam for my 2015 Volt. I was told "No, you have the latest." This too was in error.Slow service, and incorrect information.

The only negative thing I can say is when I was trying to do the deal in a timely manner, the computer system went down and kept me there longer than I would have liked. Other than that, it was a painless experience.

I purchased a 2016 Chevy Volt through the Costco Auto Program. I worked with Sang Cho. He was extremely professional and responded quickly to all my questions. I will recommend him and your dealership to my friends.I love my Silver Ice Chevy Volt!

Jimmy Dahi is a long time friend and he always comes through for me in matters of finance. All the people at the dealership are very professional. I only wish the manager would order something other than all black interiors for the cars, especially white ones. The Jet Black and Medium Titanium would have been so classy for this white car but every car on the lot has only a black interior.

I have nothing but good things to say about Premier Chevrolet. My sales rep Anthony was extremely helpful as well as the whole staff over in getting my truck exactly how I wanted it. They have a great team over there. I am extremely happy with my 2016 Chevy Colorado!

I am loathe to even give one star to this dump. I stopped to use the restroom and the ladies' room had three stalls. Only one was functional, two were not - one had a sign saying so, one has feces on the toilet, in the toilet, and in the stall.  After regaining consciousness I asked the station station attendant for some toilet paper (or reasonable facsimile thereof) and she LAUGHED and said "only the middle stall works" and handed me sandpapery paper towel from a stack on the grimy counter - which leads me to believe that I was not the first patron to have such a request. Item of note - there were two attendants behind the counter, so the lack of attention to the restroom was not due to staff security or safety concerns. When using the restroom and trying not to faint from not breathing, I noticed there was a sign that said "please do not flush toilet paper" - the implication was that I throw it on the floor because the trash can was obviously full. Well, I flushed. Sorry I'm not sorry.

Came here because I wanted a propane exchange. Fine, you don't have one. I get it. But to then look away and blow me off when I asked about another place to find one closeby... Well, screw you. There are plenty of places to buy gas and drinks. I'll choose elsewhere in the future.

I brought my experience to the attention of BP's corporate office. They referred it back to the local  owner/operator of the BP stores in the area. He contacted me via email and offered an apology and took 100% responsibility for the actions of his employee. He sent me a $20 gift certificate to their chain of stores as an apology.I'm still disappointed that the store's employee and manager treated us in the way that they did, but I'm glad that someone was finally willing to apologize. Hope that mentality trickles down to the rest of the staff at their stores and next time they act with respect to the person that is patronizing their place of employment.

[This is part of a set of reviews covering establishments my family and I encountered while taking a road trip to Cincinnati.]The family and I were taking a road trip to Cincinnati to visit my wife's sister.  We stopped in Tomah for lunch and I noted we were at a quarter tank.  I planned on filling up the car that my wife normally drives as we left town.  But with my short term memory as it is, I promptly forgot and got back on I-90/94 without much of a thought. Some 40 miles later, I look down at my gas gauge and notice the needle covering half the bottom E line.  "That's ok," I think to myself.  The low fuel warning light hasn't turned on yet.  I start looking for the next exit.  Two minutes pass.  No exit.  Five minutes pass.  No exit.  The needle is almost fully covering the E line, but still no warning light.  Ten minutes pass.  Ah.  Exit 106 to Hwy 33 in two miles.  There's a BP station.  No problem.About that time, my wife wakes up.  "We're almost out of gas!""Yes, I know.""Take the next exit.""I'm going t--"Just as I try to finish my sentence, the car lurches.  Then it lurches again."We're must be out of gas," my wife says."How can that be?  The warning light hasn't even turned on yet.""It's broken.  Remember I told you that?""Uh... no."We manage to coast to the top of the exit and the BP is easily within walking distance, less than a quarter mile.  I get out and start walking.  Thankfully, it wasn't a very hot day.  As I get closer, I notice yellow tape like police tape on the far side of the station blocking the filling lanes.  "That's odd, I think to myself."I walk in and there are several immigrant workers buzzing around, the merchandise is scattered around, and there is no one behind the counter.  I take a closer look at the pumps and they are all turned off.  My stomach sinks.I tell one of the workers, who looks like he may be the owner, that I'm out of gas.  He says he can't help me because they are cleaning up after having 3 feet of water in the station.  I ask him for a recommendation.  He asks one of the other workers (who had been standing there the whole time) if he knows of another gas station that doesn't involve going into town.  "Go East on 94 two miles to exit 108," he says pointing East.I smirk and chuckle at him.  I don't have gas to go two inches, much less two miles.  "I don't have ANY gas," doing my best impression of a hungry parrot.  "Do you have any suggestions?"  Everyone just gives me a blank stare.A bit dumbfounded, I head toward Big O's Trailers next door.Story cont'd at yelp.com/biz/big-os-trai…

This gas station SUCKS. Perhaps the WORST gas station I've ever been to. Typical Topeka day in May: it's sleeting. Amazing! All I want to do is fill up the tank and get the hell on the road because I know my commute is going to take twice as long. I go to the first pump I see and I notice that there is a bag over the diesel pump but not the regular fuel pump. To my demise after I've done the entire annoying card transaction while my hair is literally flying all over the place and I'm getting sleeted on sideways that BOTH pumps don't work. They were just too lazy and/or dumb to put a crappy plastic bag on BOTH pumps. I maneuver over to another pump and AGAIN the transaction is not going through. I run into the dingy lobby. Of course there are 5 people in line in front of me.. fine, it's rush hour. That's reasonable. The lady in front of me starts saying that her card wouldn't go through on the pump. The woman behind the counter actually starts ARGUING with the lady about whether the machine was broken. I pipe up and tell the woman at the counter mine wasn't working either. She denies that too. WHAT THE WHAT?!? Yep we're either both liars or Idiots OR MAYBE she's crazy. I'm going with door #3. Anyway, when it gets to my turn I just tell her to put $30 on my pump and run back out to the hellacious sleet. I am finally done with this wonderful early morning transaction. Never again Wanamaker BP. Never. Again.

RIP OFF.  DO NOT GO HERE.  They will tell you your car needs NEEDS tons of work.  IT DOES NOT.  AGAIN....do not go here.  They want to flush every transmission, overcharge and add on too many hours for the labor and want to do work that (I say again) you do not need.  I paid WAY too much for my car work, and noticed everyone writing 1000+ checks on my way out.  TOTALLY SHADY. GO across the street to Dave at DP.  Super honest and reliable.

I took my car in for an oil change, and they told me my serpentine belt was worn out.  Okay, I thought.  So I gave them the go ahead to replace it, and I come back the next day to a bill of $1,070 dollars.  Even with a healthy margin of error, that's an overcharge of about $850.  On top of that, when I got my car back it was littered with parking tickets to the tune of $100.  The mechanics had parked it on the street illegally the night before, and they refused to knock a dollar off the price, or to pay for the parking tickets, so all told that simple oil change ended up costing me about $1200.Then the serpentine belt broke a month later, and I was told by the dealership point-blank that it had never even been replaced.  He took me into the garage to show me the scarred, weathered remnants of the belt, which had clearly been with the car for all of its 65,000 miles.  They went ahead and changed it for $80.I don't think I've ever been to a garage that was quite so upfront about its dishonesty.  They actually laughed at me when I complained about the price.  Don't go.  Tell your friends not to go.  And if you think you can get away with it, find someone who works there and trip them near a puddle.

My car wouldn't start recently, and the closest place my husband could bring it was this BP gas station.  We received a quote of $1,200 for the repair.  When I towed the car somewhere else for a second opinion, we received a quote for $200 for the same job.  We returned to BP to ask if we could have the list of recommended repairs that they wrote out so that we could take it to the second mechanic, and the gentleman we spoke to was incredibly rude and said he knew where the list was, but he wasn't going to get it for us.  Not going here again.

I took my car in for some very expensive repairs only to have the exact same problems arise once again a couple months later.  I was then told that all warranties on the parts and labor had expired and I would have to pay full price for the repairs once again.  To top it all off, things were stolen out of my car while it was in their care.  Stay away.

I agree with Peter on their service and charge. They appear to be honest and fair for the cost and job but here is the truth. They will show you how much it cost for parts like battery on the computer and they can't do anything for the price of the parts but their labor is very cheap, and so it sounds like the parts cost a lot and their labor costs nothing so you are getting a good deal from them. BUT I found out that they are charging double or triple for the parts (the quote for the parts was already charged high enough to cover their labor, you just don't know about it unless you researched about the price of parts you need on the internet or from others) in their database in the computer, so that you can't argue with them for the charge on the parts. Besides, They put low quality battery for my car when my battery died for other reason (they said my battery needed to be replaced but my battery was fine and a good one). I found out why my battery died and it wasn't because my battery needed to be replaced and other technician fixed the problem  by working on the engine part. Don't go Amoco.

The starter that I had put in my car about two and a half years ago by the folks at Connecticut Avenue BP died a week ago (though it started acting up about three months ago).  I've honestly never heard of a new starter dying so fast (maybe they didn't actually put in a new part?), and neither had the mechanic who installed the new one. And here's the best part.  I got it replaced for $400 instead of the $800+ that BP charged me. All of this to say, I wouldn't recommend this spot to neighbors.

Definitely the worst service station I have ever had the misfortune to have my car die in front of.  My car was smoking, I had no choice but to stop and they knew it.  They charged me $50 just to stop in (which is absurd) and then called later with a laundry list of things that are wrong with my car totaling about $3500.  They also claimed my car wouldn't run at all because they couldn't start it, which was a bold faced lie.Luckily AAA will tow your car for free so I paid the assholes their $50 and got it towed out of there where a real mechanic who I've known for years said he would get it running for a mere $600.  The difference is appalling, I thought my car was completely totaled and it turns out that it is actually drivable for a pretty modest fee.DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE.  THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IN A HEART BEAT, no matter how desperate or in trouble you are.  SHARKS, every single one of them.

Best service ever! As a woman, I'm leery when going to have my vehicle worked on in fear the mechanics will take advantage and jack up the price. This was not the case at all here, I was pleasantly surprised at the acceptional professionalism and expedited work! I brought my Nissan Armada in which had a broken exhaust pipe that had to not only be replaced, but specially fit/welded on due to how it had rusted and broke off. The mechanics were able to do the job plus an oil change in less then 2hrs. Thanks so much Connecticut Ave BP!

How much worse you can get than "losing" a car/motorcycle in your possession?Maybe it was stolen, but I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE VEHICLE OR ANY REIMBURSEMENT SINCE.Unfortunately, I brought my scooter here for repair in July 2013. When I returned to pick it up, they told me they "NO LONGER HAD IT". When I returned for it, the man in charge of the motorcycle repairs looked uncomfortable, but made no offer to reimburse me or make any reparation. For what it's worth, they offered me the keys back. They could have been copied; I don't know. They didn't have any explanation for why it wasn't there. Heck, if there had been a service charge for alteration they made, it would have then been theft! But since they were waiving the service charge, it was not an issue, simply a "disappeared" scooter. We called the DC Police and created a police report. I returned on one more occasion with the police report (in which they clearly admit to losing possession of the bike while it was in their custody) and they declined to reimburse me for the value.EXTREME CAUTION URGED! Use only if this is a better alternative than having your vehicle stolen, with only a police report to show for it!Feel free to contact me for details or more information.Lizzie O.Chevy Chase ResidentWashington, DC

My 17-year-old daughter locked herself out of her 12 year old Jeep not once but TWICE two weeks ago!  She had Frankie help her the first time; 2nd time, she called me hysterically crying.  I thought there had been an accident.  Turns out, she did it again!  I told her to walk back to the station and ask for help, knowing they'd do what they could even if they had other work to do.  Frankie came back, didn't charge her and undoubtedly did his best not to laugh! John and his team define what it means to be a good local business and service station.  I remember being a kid and my dad having a great relationship with the guys up the street.  No problem too small and even when they couldn't fix it, they'd try to help.  That's how John handles his customers and his staff does the same.

I'm always wary that I'm being scammed at auto shops. Here too. That said, they generally do good work. I've come here a lot because I used to live in the Ellicott House a block away. Here is the good:1. you can drop off, pick up, and pay for your car 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the cashier at the gas station. This for me has been awesome.2. Like most service stations in DC, they park on the street and you risk tickets. This station however is right next to a street that is unzoned so you're in the clear. And if you have Zone 3, you're definitely fine and they park your car on Fessenden.3. The actual guys that work on your car are nice and generally do a great job. After going there kind of frequently for a bit, they began to recognize me and one time I came in totally distressed because my side view mirror got hit and was hanging by a thread and I was about to go on vacation. The guy who does the work on the cars said, well the only thing I can do to fix it right away and without new parts, you're not going to like. I said what's that? He said I can drill a bolt through it to hold it in. I said ok and 3 minutes later I was off. 2 years later the mirror is still securely affixed to my car with the drilled bolt, no one ever notices the bolt or that anything happened, and the electronic mirror adjuster still works. He charged me nothing (I assume that wouldn't have been the case if a guy in the office was involved). It was the best experience ever there. But still some stuff I've been told I need and declined never came up again with them or anyone else looking at my car.

I have always suspected that this station was overcharging me for repairs. I hate to admit that I'm a woman who doesn't know much about cars--and I know now that they saw me coming every time.  Last weekend, after my maintenance light came on, they checked it over and reported that I needed new struts, front line mounts, tires (4) and a new cabin air filter:  $2400 (I'd already given them $1100 for misc. repairs and $900 for a new alternator this summer).  When I wailed about this to a friend, she insisted that I take my car to her mechanics--Wrenchmasters in Rockville.  After these guys checked out my car they told me my suspension was FINE, and that all I needed was new tires. $593.  I'm furious, and will never even go back to this BP station for a pack of gum (oh--they actually don't have snacks).  BEWARE!(Wrenchmasters were competent, intelligent, quick and obviously honest.)

I have used this shop a number of times since it's near my house and the people seemed nice, but my experience last week will make me go elsewhere in the future. I brought the car in for a basic oil change and got a call an hour later telling me the car needed $2000 in repairs! I'm not a car person so I took their word for it, although I hadn't been having any car trouble. When I picked up the car, the charge was actually $3000!!! The manager told me I must have "misheard" his estimate, but I think it would be hard to "mishear" the difference between $2000 and $3000. When I asked to speak to the owner (John), I was told "He doesn't want to get involved." Not a good way to end a business relationship.

I disagree vehemently with the previous reviewers. I came here as a desperate man, a man that had been thrown out of the Exxon station a couple of hundred yards up the street. A man living on borrowed time. A man who knows that if he stalls his car it will never move again. The half mile or so along Connecticut to get here was the longest I ever drove. I was almost tempted to turn around and go to Liberty in Md who i know are good people. But like an oasis in the desert, I saw it and turned my Citroen in there.I was welcomed like the prodigal son. Three of the mechanics are from Mali - French West Africa - and they knew my Citroen" oh my God" they said in their lyrical French-African accents - " this is the big money car - this is the big money car"The had n't seen one since they were kids and they loved it when I turned on the hyropneumatic suspension and raised the car about 24 inches up. Then - unlke the complete d^ck at Exxon, they put a battery in for me and sent me on my merry way.$180 for a battery and installation might be a bit pricey - but it gave me wind, it gave me wheels, it gave me wings.

I LOVE THIS SHOP!!!!John, Tom, Frankie and the rest of the guys at Connecticut Ave BP are the best. I run a commercial fleet business and needed to bring in my Ford E350 for its first major service at 75,000 miles. I told the guys I had only allocated 1 day for the vehicle to bout of service. They told me "no problem!"  so I dropped it off the night before. The van needed major maintenance work and required lots of parts and time. They basically dedicated a day of shop time to my vehicle. They completed ALL the repairs recommended on time at a very fair price. There was no questionable sales tactics nor did I feel like I was being over charged. The van runs like new and I didn't even miss a business day out of service. These guys know what they are doing! I will not hesitate to send people to this shop when they want and need the best skilled mechanics at a fair price.

I'm really surprised by the bad reviews. I've taken 4 different cars here over a period of years and I've never had anything but honest service from these guys. They're fine for routine maintenance and I've even had them do more complex work on cars that were out of warranty. Never had a problem. I do think it helps to develop a relationship with people. Talk to the guys - especially John, the owner. John has gone above and beyond for me several times, storing tires for me, selling used parts, even dropping parts off at my house once or twice. No one garage will ever be experts on every car, or every problem. No one shop will always be able to get parts cheaper for you than any other place on the internet. But I am completely confident that this place works in good faith, doesn't scam customers, and do quality work.

Don't go there!!!! They are thieves, they take advantage of woman. I took my car for an oil change and asked them to check to see if everything else was OK.  They called me with a +$800 estimate.  I asked them to please give me an itemized list  of all that needed to be done.  I took it to the Mazda and they walked me through each one of the repairs and showed me why they were not necessary.   AMACO = THIEVES!!!!

*CAVEAT* If you want work done on your MOTORCYCLE, this is a great place to take it. Their motorcycle mechanic is a separate operation, and has nothing to do with their CAR service (which sucks). Would not recommend these guys. $50 just to look at the car, and they said IF it will cost more than that to fix the problem "we'll call you". As if they had no inkling as to what could be causing to problem with the car, or what they might have to do to fix it. It was an old car that definitely COULD have used some substantial work, but I was interested in getting one particular problem fixed. Anyhow they cooked up $1600 dollar laundry list of things they wanted to do, and would not (or could not, which indicates they're not very good mechanics) try to minimize the repairs to fix just the ONE problem I had. Further, they parked my car illegally which resulted in a $100 dollar ticket that I am now responsible for, even after trying to convince them to cover it. So I ended up out $150 for nothing as a result of visiting this garage. Bad deal.

It is the only shop nearby which will work on full-sized vans and trucks. Good courteous service and reasonable prices. Also regarding part prices, if you bring the parts, they will install them but they will not warranty the part.  However, there is always a mark-up when the shop buys them for you and this can be 100%.

I've been dealing with Speilmann's over the last few years on several of my vehicles and I've always felt confident that they are treating me honestly and in my best interest. Their customer service has been great and more personal than those bigger superstore, chain store type places. It's the kind of place where after a few visits they actually remember your name! All their staff are very knowledgeable and able to give you a straight answer to any car questions you might have. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced repair shop. The only gripe I have is that they could paint and clean up the place to give their shop a little better appearance.

Just on last leg of round trip from Catskill Mtns NY to Norman OK and after more than 2,000 miles on the road (this trip alone) and dozens of gas station restrooms and fast food joint restrooms I have to say that this women's room at the BP/Duchess Shop was by far the most repulsive not only of this trip but of many road trips in the last year. Dirty floor. Urine on floor. Dirty toilet. Smelly. It was of the sort where you don't even want the soles of your shoes to touch the floor because you have to then put them on the floor of your car. Nasty. And I'm originally from NYC.

Be sure you get a good idea of their rates before you have a state inspection done (they charge $75 for the inspection itself). They're conveniently open on Saturday, but they wanted $30 for the labor to replace a headlight even after sending me to buy the light. Pretty bad price for a super quick fix (that I would have gladly done myself had I noticed it prior to the inspection).

bp.com

@

Perhaps the worst experience I've ever had with an auto mechanic. When I went to pick up my car from a state inspection, the check engine light was on, which they immediately claimed was on that morning. It wasn't. Turns out that in the process of replacing the engine mount, they'd removed the oxygen sensor cable to get to it, and forgot to put it back, completely leaving out the bolt that holds it in place. While I was under the hood looking at that, I also noticed that the bracket supporting the air conditioning pipes was replaced upside down and also had a bolt missing. How does a professional mechanic give a car back to a customer with two bolts missing? A few weeks later, I noticed that the tire the mechanic was supposed to replace, the one with the worn edge from a bad alignment wasn't replaced, but another perfectly good tire had been replaced. At least they were cheap, and I have my state inspection certificate, but I'd have been happy to pay another hundred or two to have everything done properly.

I have repeatedly dumped after hours and unscheduled work on these guys and they pull it off every time. Small time feel to this place- wish there was more like this.

@

I pulled in last night with a badly leaking rear tire, and I wasn't even out of the car before Patrick (the mechanic on duty) was walking to my car, smiling and telling me he already knew why I was here as he could hear the air coming out of the tire. After being pushed out the door at another tire store down the road, I sheepishly asked him if he could work in a flat repair, and he replied that he would see what he could do - already jacking the car up to remove the tire. Needless to say, I was on the road in about 30 minutes at a very reasonable price. Both Patrick and the attendant on duty in the store were helpful, friendly and enjoyable. It's hard to find hometown service like this. It was a great experience! I was surprised

Now that the station is under new management, the fuel prices are great. I used to only buy gas across the street from the Liberty (used to be about the cheapest in town but for some reason they've crept up in pricing). But now the BP has consistently been lower priced than the Liberty. The Sunoco further down the street (200 yds) is often the same price or maybe 2 cents less per gallon, but their facility is much harder to negotiate with a car, as it is so cramped. I've also had 3 cars inspected at the BP in the last 3 months or so and was very pleased with the fast, efficient and pleasant service I received.

New management such an as hole. He feel like he can trade you as a nothing. I'm costumer more than 5 years ago and he is the most unrrespecfull person I ever had seen. Hopefully people stop going there. I won't come back. For sure. But away I'm not talking about the store or the gas, it's about the person how he trade the costumers.

I will drive across town to take my car to this place. It is obvious that I know nothing about cars so mechanics can easily tell me things need fixing that really don't. This place does not do that. They took time to explain what needed to be done, didn't pressure sell me into optional work and were very fast even though I didn't have an appointment. In a big city it is hard to know who to trust and these guys seem like they deserve it.

Best on Capitol Hill! Like everything else in DC, auto repair is overpriced and underwhelming. Not so here! I've been here several times and they consistently exceed expectations. They're honest and never oversell you, oftentimes finding creative ways to save you money. (I was once directed to an auto salvage yard to save on a used part - a true sign they care about you and not overcharging you!) They are super nice and make you feel at home and valued. Just take your car here already!

Awesome and fast service. They earned the trust of me as the customer. They always fix it right. Once they fixed a fuse for my cig. charger port and it broke again because there was metal in the port. They fixed it 1-2 more times free of charge and teaching me how to do it and why it kept breaking at the same time. They are the best and have the nicest staff and r. If you have a choice between distdads and someone else, no matter the price go to Distdads because they will fix it and if they can't they will tell you straight up instead of trying to fix it and charging you they will tell you they can't and you don't lose money. Also my ceiling was coming down at the front blocking my rear view mirror and they said it would cost a lot of $$ so they suggested stapling the front which worked. At any other gas station (not all but many) are in it for the money so they would say yea we will fix it and all that time all is needed is a staple, but not Distdads they are honest and value their customer well being, they want to keep their customers because they are honest with their customers. GO TO DISTDADS WHEN YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. *DISTDADS IS THE NAME OF THE STATION AND SORRY IF THE SPELLING IS WRONG.

bp.com

I'm always skeptical of going to gas station auto shops in a city as they tend to be overpriced and try to up-sell you or rip you off. This was not the case at all at Distad's. I was driving around when white smoke started coming out from my hood. Luckily I was close to home and could quickly park and see what the problem was. All I could tell was there was something wrong with the radiator or coolant system. I had been planning to drive to New Jersey the following day so I called Distad's (at about 6:30 pm when they close at 7pm) and asked if they could take a look. I had never been to Distad's before, but they were the closest option I had. They immediately ran a couple tests on the car and said it looked like the engine thermostat was malfunctioning. They would have to order a new part, but because a snow storm was expected to come through the following day they weren't sure how quickly they could get the part. Once I told them I was planning to drive to New Jersey the following day they said they should be able to get the part in and replace it by the end of the following day. Low and behold I get a call around noon the following day that they got the part and replaced it. Not only that but what I went to pick up my car they told me when they started it up to make sure everything was working properly, they didn't like the sound my engine was making. So they looked around and saw that there was a wrong sized bolt holding my engine in place, so they replaced it (for only a couple bucks). In total for parts and labor the whole thing cost about $100 and only took a few hours. My car is a 1996 Toyota Camry with its fair share of problems and I've been resigned to always have the check engine light be on for the past 5 years or so. But since taking my car to Distad's about a month ago, the check engine light has stayed off. I take my car to be regularly serviced at mechanics I trust, but this is the first time the check engine light has actually stayed off. So from now on, I'll be going to Distad's.

Bad deal.

I brought my car there for a replacement headlight and coolant. The guy said he'd do it for $30 right there. Then about a week later my car started acting up and the engine would stall. I brought it back and was told I was lucky because this repair would only cost $560 as opposed to the other option it could be (knock sensor) which would be "way more". After the repaire the car ran fine for about a week then started acting up in the same way. When I brought it back I was told the knock sensor needed to be fixed and would cost $900 400 labor the rest for the part. When I asked to clarify I was told they had told me so a week before and I choose not to fix it, which is a lie. Anyway they said they'd see what they could do and call me by the next day at noon. They didn't get back to me for 4 days and when they finally did they said it was now broken but drivable. I went with my mom, the owner of the car, to pick it up. I was told I could drive it so I left and she got a headlight replaced. When she went to leave he car stalled the same way mine did. She was then told it was because the battery was disconnected, total crap. Then my car stalled again on my way home so I called, obviously angry and was told "I don't know what to tell you" You're a garage that's your job. After I called the owner started really trying to sell my mom a car he just happen to have. This is what makes people not trust garages. Horrible I'm convinced I was cheated out of money and my car possiable messed with. DO NOT GO HERE.

When I got back in my car it had been vacuumed and the outside had been washed! All nice and shiny. And there was a "Thank you" note on the passenger seat! Pump gas then the second pump stops for no reason! Go back in again, guy says may be your tank is full? Which it wasn't of course. Guy gives me the rest of the money back! Wow! It was terrible!!! All I wanted was my transmission mount put on and they said "they could not get it aligned" so they were not able to put it on. They told me to come back the next morning but on the ride home I noticed a knocking noise. Long story short the knocking was my engine hitting something which made my axle break. I ended up with more damages done then before I got there. Also they refused to fix damages or refund me and I already paid for the services to be done. I ended up going to USA motors on 45 Q ST SE and they fixed it less than an hour but I had to pay an extra $150 out of pocket. Now I have to pay an additional $350 for the broken axle. Do not go to this gas station if you want your car to continue working. Four weeks ago I filled up my Mercedes with premium gas and the next morning it wouldn't start. My car is only three years old and has 35,000 miles on it - I've never had an issue with it. After having it towed to the repair shop, the mechanic said that the gas was 20% water and it ruined two of my O2 sensors which had to be replaced ($800 charge). I've never heard of this sort of thing happening before but apparently it happens quite frequently with BP stations. I opened a dispute with BP and they dismissed the incident stating that although they contacted the mechanic and he verified that the gas directly attributed to the O2 sensor failure they would not accept fault for the gas. My mechanic said that he's seen this before with BP and that Citgo has much better quality of fuel. Save your car and head to the Citgo station instead.

A 40 degree day and the water smelled like bleach (bad for paint) .once you AR in line 6 cars back you cannot leave the line. When you get to the pay box it tells you no change or credit card. Well hey Milwaukee step up and stop being a ghetto all over town .if you offer a service get off your lazy ass and provide that service . if you can't afford the services of your business to be right and proper then you failed as a businessperson

My wife went into this store at 4:30 AM on Jan 14. She needed to use the restroom and fix a contact lens and then make a couple purchases. She asked where the restrooms were. The clerk snapped at her that there were no "public" restrooms. She said "whatever" and started to leave. He said something else and my wife said that she didn't want to talk about it. And then in perfect customer service...he told her "Good. Get the hell out of here...DumbAss!" He chased her out the door and locked it behind her. I am going to register a formal complaint with BP and will NEVER make any purchases of gas nor goods with BP again. All due to the actions of this one employee.

No longer a BP station. When it was.. Two different times the man working there tried to cheat me out of the KMart discount coupon. The second time, they took the coupon and would not give it back until i got very loud in front of other customers. This gas station is full of some of the most racist, prejudiced people I have ever met. If you are African American or any person of color stay away from this location. I have been into this gas station twice and both times I was treated like a criminal for no reason. The first time I went in I had to pay for my gas with cash because that is all I had at the time, I gave the clerk a $100 bill and he took my money and counted my change. Somewhere in between me walking back to my car and pumping my gas the clerk decided that the $100 bill was fake and came running after me while I was at the pump. He told me that he could not take my money and that the money was not real, even though he had marked the bill with the counterfeit pen and it appeared to be real. I did not argue with him, I gave him another bill that I had. Later on that day I brought my bill to the bank and they confirmed that the money was real and not counterfeit. The second time I went in was a couple weeks after the first incident, I went in to use the ATM. I was not sure if I wanted a snack or not so I was just walked up the aisle once to see if anything caught my eye (didn't touch or pick up anything). I didn't see anything I liked so I turned around and just decided to use the ATM machine only. As I walked out of the store back to my car I was chased out by a clerk asking me if I was going to pay for the gum I had. I told him I didn't have any gum and he can feel free to check me, while my gas was still pumping I went back into the store to speak with a manager (white woman) and I told her what happened and asked her if she seen me take any gum, she said "I thought I seen you pick something up." I politely told her I would never steal and how disgusted I was with the service and also about the last incident that occurred regarding my $100 bill. I walked out of the store very upset. I am a hard working African American woman, I live in the same neighborhood as the BP, I work right down the street and honestly I do not feel comfortable coming to this gas station anymore, I've been called a thief, and been accused of having fake money. The one that really bothered me the most was being called a thief because I'm pretty sure my salary is a lot more than those workers paychecks, not only that but I had withdrawn cash from the ATM;what makes them think I couldn't afford to pay for something like a pack of gum? I've been blessed with a nice well paying career where I can afford anything in this store, one of my paychecks is worth more than what one of these employees get in a month. My point is I was profiled simply because I am African American and because of that I will never step foot onto this property again. I wouldn't go to this gas station if it was the last store on earth, I would rather starve or walk a thousand miles to go somewhere else before I ever step foot back into this pitiful establishment full of underpaid, ignorant and culturally unaware workers who also lack basic customer service skills.

I recently moved to the Lake Calhoun area and was on the lookout for a honest service station. I had a reputable location where I had taken my car for years but was hoping to find someplace closer to my new home for future needs. Calhoun Beach BP was really close, pretty much walking distance so I decided to give them a try starting with an oil change, which they were having a special on. John the service manager was my first point of contact. He was wonderful on the phone in setting up my appointment and continued with the positive demeanor when I went in for my oil change appointment. (A free touch-less carwash was included with my service.) Every time you get a service here, a car wash is included; this is a bonus in my book! It turned out that I had a leak in my water pump and the serpentine belt was replaced at that time also. I called a friend and told them what the service suggestions for my car were and this person KNEW my car and agreed that this work was indeed needed! Now you have to realize, I drive a 1997 Saturn…the very same car I drove off the lot when it was new, so nobody gets excited when they see my vehicle! If you make some calculations in your head, you will figure out that I am an older person. It was pouring rain the day I left my car to be serviced by the Calhoun Beach mechanic team, and John (service manager), offered me a loaner car. I have to tell you John gave me stellar customer service… they did great work on my car, they looked over the rest of it and I’m sure as old as it is, they could have easily come up with more things that were wrong with it, but they didn’t! They fixed what needed fixing and John was one of the nicest service station personnel representatives that I have done business with. My point is this…a lot of times, I notice places tend to give really great customer service to stunning looking people… or people who look like they have got it together or who are young! Believe me I have experienced and observed many places that have personnel who ‘zone out’ when an older person needs help. John made me feel like my old car was important and that above all, there would be integrity involved when it came to the work that needed to be done on my car! INTEGRITY is huge with me! I’m giving 5 stars to my two recent experiences with John who heads up the service department at Calhoun Beach BP! My car was running great! This is the kind of service that makes me want to tell other people about it…and yes, I am an older person, but think about this…if it was your mom or grandmother going to a service station by herself…wouldn’t you want somebody to treat her with respect, honesty, caring and integrity? Exactly my point! I’ll be going back there in the future.

Hello everyone I'm Keisha... I work here and love what I do. The area and faces I come in contact with. Mind you there are a few bad apples in every bunch, but my regulars make it worth it. Our car wash from what I've been told is one of the best around. It is touchless not a miracle worker for stuck on bird poo etc, but we run weekly specials on the wash and packages too. We offer some of the best deals in auto service with extremely knowledgeable mechanics. A great variety of products from sodas, healthy bars, organic items and more for all your snacking or automotive needs. An even better treat for you coupon heads... Stop in on Tuesday's for gas with a coupon and we will double it (.20 off coupons not included). It is an all around great place, great location with great customer service. Stop on in and say hi... I'm there 6 days a week and look forward to seeing you.

Any problems..ask for Will, the manager. He is THE BEST! My friend and I decided to drive the 30 minutes to take in a beautiful walk around Lake Calhoun that day. We drove my husband's 1984 Cadillac convertible for extra fun. I did not realize how low on gas it was, so lo and behold, when we finished our walk the car would not start and was on empty. :( We flagged a ride to the BP and was given a red tank to fill. Will was nice and gave us a ride back to our car and helped get us on our way. He saved the day and got us on our way to the rest of our adventures planned for the day. What a friendly, nice guy and what great service!! Thank you!

The pump did not automatically turn off when the tank became full and it overflowed about a gallon and a half before I could get to it to turn it off. I went in to tell them that the gas overflowed and he continued to tell me it was my fault. I asked him what I could have done differently and he said there was nothing I could do except pay ahead of time. I understand there was a communication barrier, but I was very disappointed that they blamed me for a problem at their pump and did not offer any refund.

Don't buy your gas here unless you like paying .60 to .80 cents per gallon more. Here are directions to fair priced Speedway gas station only 2 miles from BP : ..... Had my 5 year old granddaughter with me, I took her in to use the restroom after being in the car for 4 hours and the bathroom was closed for cleaning. I asked how long it would be and the smart mouth kid tells me it would be open in 15 mins when the store closed. I asked if we could use it before close and he said no-take her across the lot and busy entrance into the mall to McDonalds to use the restroom. My car was damaged on a newly installed car wash system at this place of business. It was supposed to be a touchless system but managed to do more than $1100.00 damage to my new car. I showed Depak Desai - the business owner - the damage as soon as it ocurred but he would not take responsibility, discuss his insurance covering the damage or any other solution. And he was very rude about it. I tried for months to work something out but he would not cooperate. My only solution was small claims court but my one witness to the event could not be reached so I was stuck with an $1100 paint bill that my insurnace covered only $850 - I paid $300. The attitude of Depak Desai the owner was anti-consumer, rude and simply unbelievable. Tarheel Wash Systems who installed the faulty equipment were just as bad on customer service. Worst place other than Allans muffler shop to have any work done on your vehicle. First they told me a price on the work that I requested, then they only did part of the work because O'Riley's give us the wrong parts. So less work was fine but they still charged me full price. Then I noticed my tie rod end was improperly installed and I wonder if is even safe. I'm pretty sure they put a gash in the sidewall of my tire during their so called work, but I'll never be able to prove it and they will never admit to it or help me in any way. So after all this, I take my van back to their shop and ask them to show me what work that had done and see if my vehicle was even safe to drive. Guy on duty looks at my receipt and is like, well this was the morning crew so...,. I'm wondering so what are you saying, that morning shift does shady work and evening shift doesn't? Not too reassuring. So I have him look at the van and he says its OK they look different aftermarket than they do new, knowing that he was feeding me bull, it wasn't installed properly. They also adjusted my alignment by jerry rigging their own version of what they believe to be a tie rod adjustment, only they cranked on one side real hard and not correctly, when they are supposed to go from each side evenly. Do not go to swaffords if you value your money, your vehicle, and the safety of you and your family. You have been warned

When our 13-year-old car broke down on the interstate on Memorial Weekend, hundreds of miles from home (Ontario), Swafford's took care of us. They were honest, clear, and light-hearted when dealing with us, especially since we were clueless first-time car owners during a very stressful time. They got us back on the road in no time and charged us barely a dime. Everything you could hope for in a team of mechanics. Thank you, Swaffords!

Boycott BP Amoco products, gas, and food stores until they stop the OIL GUSHER in the Gulf!

After getting an estimate they told me to drop my car off in the morning a few days later and when I did they offered me a ride home. Then got a call that my car was done 3 hours later and I could pick it up anytime. I went straight over there and was surprised that my car was still in the shop. Turns out they noticed that my hood latch was broken and were going to fix it for me while they were waiting. Everything about this place is cheerful and helpful. I've taken my old car there 3 or 4 times now for different things and I've never had a problem with anything once it's been fixed. As long as I live here this is the only place I will take my car.

During one of the snowstorms last year, I was unable to get my car off the street. I called Dave's to get towed and was quoted $50 on the phone. He eventually came and was able to tow my car into a parking lot off the street. When it was all done though, he had suddenly increased the rate to $60. A little shady in my opinion. I won't be calling him again.

Worst I have ever seen, lots of BS but little positive action.

I found them through other google reviews. I was in Nashville with my family for vacation and my headlight bulbs were out. I was worried it would take all morning to get fixed. Devin greeted me as soon as I pulled in and had me in and out with 2 new bulbs in less than 10 minutes. Thanks!

My parents were going to Bill when I was a teenager. I started with them when I went out on my own and I'm now 40 something, lol. Bill and his guys have always been friendly, never tried to up-sell me and were as quick as they could be. I wouldn't trust anyone else! Also a BIG plus with me is they don't treat women as if we were stupid about automotive topics. If you are new to Donelson/Hermitage area or been here forever, you can not go wrong with Bill and his crew!!

I had a great experience! They got my fleet vehicle in and out within working hours on a Saturday, even though I was last in a queue of 5. They were very fair in their assessment of the van and no hard sales or hidden up-sales. Great communication too!

Love this place! Found it randomly, after moving by the airport, one Sunday morning when I had low tire pressure. Their service is top notch. I had been taking my car across town to a very reputable mechanic. As a woman, I've been taken advantage of too many times here. Now, I know I have a wonderful place close by. I will continue to frequent them. Great service, thorough, great price.

Bill Packard runs an old school service station. I have seen him and his employees go far out of their way to help anyone that pulls up. Every one of the employees here has a positive attitude, and greets everyone with a smile. This is a SERVICE station.

This station in particular is not even worthy of being rated. I have never encountered someone in a customer service position who was not only rude, but initially refused to refund my money after I paid for gas I never received (pump 3 is faulty and frankly should have a simple Out of Order sign mounted on it). I went in to tell her the screen merely kept saying "One Moment Please" and that I was unable to pump gas. I ran the transaction with my card, which of course gave instant approval for the sale of $35.00 beforehand. I kid you not, these are the first words that came out of her mouth: "You wanted to get the 87 gas instead of the 89 because it was cheaper," when I told her that I was willing to pay extra for the Silver 89 grade before I even swiped my card. "Well, my machine says you pressed 87," she continues. I attempt to cancel the transaction myself out of desperation on the pump's pad, then I go home to find that I'm still being charged after I review my statement, which I expected; she does not come off as a very scrupulous individual and was pretty much going to scam me instead of trying to correct the situation by offering a refund in the first place. ...Are you serious? You didn't even bother to come out and look at the machine, which was not working properly, as I originally tried to express to you, and you assumed right off the bat that I wanted something different from what I asked for "Because it was cheaper?". I asked if there was a way to cancel the transaction, since services to me were not rendered; she decided to ignore me (this ignorant female with an apparently severe case of Hirsutism) and continue whatever nonessential conversation she was having on the store telephone. You are not only incredibly rude, but you use the BP location store phone for personal calls on company time? How dare you? I was so infuriated that I had to ask a close relative to obtain the refund she reluctantly ended up giving after two phone calls to said location, which she, as I previously stated above, did not even want to distribute. She was even rude to my mother on the phone when all she was doing was asking her to give my money back; getting an attitude with not only me, but now my mother? Absolutely unacceptable. Unless you are desperate and on E, I highly recommend that you do not go to this gas station, because the service is extremely poor and half the time, the pumps don't even work. I'm complaining now because this is not the first time that I have had a bad experience at this location, and this is the last time that I will ever go to any BP station for that matter. Learn who your attendants are, do not leave them unsupervised for extended periods of time, and train them properly. This idiot obviously does not have basic people skills and should not be allowed to work a customer service position of any kind, anywhere.
