this auto parts store is great...all you have to do is put in the make model and year of your vehicle and whatever you are looking for will come up if they have it. i ordered online for pick up at the store as i live one a block from the store. you can also have it shipped to your home. they have a variety of price ranges for parts (pay more for quality as always) so everyone can afford to shop here. they always seem to have a promotion of some sort going so saving money is a definite possibility at all times. alot of times there are also helpful reviews on items so you can get an idea as to whether or not people feel the part is worth the money.

i have been buying from this store for about 4 years now. i have ordered things from them online in the past. i like the selection of auto parts and equipment they have. i have gone into the store and bought rain gutters for my truck and a bug guard that was great. it stops all those nasty insects from flying into my windshield. it was no fun cleaning the flying creatures off of my truck. as a matter of fact it made me sick. i also just purchased new front and back brakes from them. i called several different places to price check before making a decision on who i was going to buy from. advanced beat several other dealers in price. i have priced the oil here but walmart beat there oil prices. i have also bought wiper blades, air fresheners and car waxes that were nice. advanced auto has a large section of accessories for just about anything you need for repair and replacement parts. when i went to the store the employee's where knowledgeable and helpful. if they did not have the part in the store they ordered very quickly and then called me as soon as it was available for pick up. they even offered to send it to my house. i hope this site helps people who are trying to save on auto parts, they can be very expensive in some other stores. you may not be able to get everything here, but they have a lot of stock. i hope people find this site to be as helpful as it has been for me in the past. sincerely, lorraine w.

you only get rewards if you spend so much $. the cashier signed me up but did not say i had to spend so much $. i spent like 96$ and to get a "reward" i had to spend 100!!! i service my own cars and i'm going to look for a better rewards!!!

i've spent the last 3 hours going up the chain of advance auto parts managers and supervisor trying to ascertain why they can sell a retail customer a defective part and not be responsible for a labor claim of that part. was told by all that their policy is to only refund or replace the part. their policy does not allow labor claims for walk up customer. was flat out told that if i had 5 of the same parts replace by a garage after i walked up and purchased them over the counter and all 5 were defective that their only liability would be to keep replacing the part or refund the funds for that part. i spoke with the store manager, warranty claims department and a couple more in the customer service department and was told the exact same by all. was also told by all that they stand behind their parts.

all of advanced auto "limited lifetime" warranty parts does not cover normal wear and tear as stated on their web page. so any problem you have, they say is normal wear and tear. will not replace under any circumstance. autozone offers an actual lifetime warranty (even items like brake pads are really warranted for lifetime). i will not be returning to advanced auto any time soon!

i bought new spark plugs from advance auto parts, it was cracked. i had to pay for labor twice. they said i'd be reimbursed for mechanic doing labor twice. i called corporate, and now they say they do pay claims for labor. the first warranty claims said no problem, we will reimburse me. they gave me the run around. do not buy any parts from advance auto parts.

i bought a fuel pump from aap in brentwood, ny& it was already opened. the cashier told me it was okay if any problems, bring it back. the fuel pump did not work. out of curiosity i went to autozone & bought a fuel pump there & it worked fine. so i tried returning the other one to aap and the manager there was so rude, yelling that should not return my money because it was already used. it was used to begin with because it was opened when i bought it. that manager is so rude every time i go there. she refused to help customers resolve their problems. i would like to get my refund back on this fuel pump that didn't even work. somebody must have bought it there & returned it because it was already defective.

i have been a customer for years. worked well despite a few glitches. ordered brake lines and windshield wipers. the wipers came. order was placed in feb 2015. it is now may. numerous emails. each answered with a run around and blah, blah, appeasement placating response . after sixth email asked the parts be sent via express mail. got a stock shipping answer basically blowing me off. decided no more emails so called today 3 months later. very poor customer service. pushed a bunch of buttons. talked to the robot. called back. waited another 10-15 minutes on an international call. got the poor shcmo who had to refer it upstairs. said the parts came back. no explanation as to why no follow up.

this supposedly great plan for rebates or perks is a big joke. i have spent $584.87 in your store since april 7 2015 and i was expecting these rebates to come in so i could use them for some other stuff i was getting. well i finished my jobs this past weekend and still have not seen these so called perks until today. i got 1 20$ and 2 5$ coupons. however it is too late to use them when i really needed them and then to top it off i had one purchase over $300 and two purchases over $100 a piece so according to your rules i should have gotten five $20 coupons and one or two $5 coupons but no i did not. i also had a $50 rebate coming for purchasing the ac parts and when i just went online and registered for it it is a stupid advance gift card not the $50 rebate you led me to believe.

let's just say i'm very disappointed with the quality of your parts. in less than 1 year i have purchased 3 fuel pumps, 2 fuel tanks, an alternator, map sensor, throttle position sensor, dimmer switch, and throttle cable. i have had to replace every part because of failure, and not one covered under any kind of warranty. more than one of those failed on me while making a drive from wisconsin to texas leaving me stranded on the side of the road, which makes me so upset it's not even funny. i just want to say it's not easy replacing some of those parts once, let alone twice especially on the side of the interstate. i want you to know i will never step foot in one of your stores again and i feel you owe me money. did i mention when the throttle position sensor failed it caused my truck to die in an intersection and i got rear-ended which made me have to pay deductibles for my vehicle and others. extremely upset!

online 5.19 price, was 9.19, 4 dollars off, for air filter purolator, said in stock at local store. went there. they then tell me that is a online price, that i need to pay full price 9.19. nothing mention on item i was wanting except on sale 5.19. if that's the online price, should have that plainly stated on each item they sell so customer will know that if they are willing to wait about 5 days, pay for shipping, etc., they can get a little discount maybe. depend on how much they charge for shipping, the store price may end up cheaper. that's my gripe. maybe no deal online if you pay for shipping plus have to wait maybe 5 days to show up.

after having decades of great, helpful, energetic people from autozone checking/replacing batteries and other minor repairs...it was like pulling teeth getting assistance from advanced auto. they pointed at a tool cart when i brought my mom's car back to replace battery cable connectors for a battery i bought from them yesterday. the stuck bolt and ill-fitting connector added to my frustrating customer experience. so lesson learned...stick with autozone for a better customer service experience.

first off, my boyfriend received brakes from advanced auto in upstate new york 4 months ago. he went back to exchange them because one side was screwed up. they would not abide by their warranty because they do not cover that type of damage. he gave them a half hour of hell where they finally replaced them, but it is crappy that they would not abide by their warranty. so we will be shopping at autozone. my brother in law went to them two separate times and both times he received the wrong part. customer service is not what it used to be.

i bought a motorcycle battery last june. had a problem with battery not charging. they said the battery only had a 60-day warranty. just as a reference of past battery life, my last battery lasted 8 years. the battery was $83.00 and i felt it should last more than 9 months. i was very dissatisfied, manager said he couldn't do anything for me. i will not ever shop there again!

i stopped by the local advance auto to try to return the wiper blades i had purchased a few weeks beforehand due to their extremely low quality (in just two storms they had basically fallen apart). the customer service rep did not allow me to return them, even though they were within the 90 day return window and defective. though somewhat frustrated, i decided to let it go and purchase new ones since the amount of money involved was not enormous. i picked out some new ones and bought them.

i have been going to advance auto for over a decade and have always been happy and gone back. i chose advance for my parts because my friend from high school worked there. he left and since then, it's been a mess. the other day i purchased brakes from them and came home. i took the tire off, took off the old brakes, went to put the new ones on and they were the wrong ones. i clearly told the associate there the right info. i have done ordered parts many times before. when i called the store, they refused to deliver me the right brakes so i had to put the old ones back on. they were in very bad condition and it was dangerous but had no other ride and no choice. i felt bad for the guy when i got there. everyone makes mistakes but the store should have done the right thing.

i purchased a battery on-line from advanced auto parts in salem, ma. their website said salem had the battery in stock. it also said that installation would be free in any weather. bought the battery on-line for store pick-up, got to the store and they said, "it's too cold so we are not doing installations today." then after 5 minutes the sales person comes out from the back and says, "yeah, we don't have that battery in stock." all in all a complete waste of my time! i will never go back there again. pep boys and auto mart are close by so i will go there instead.

i bought the headlight. i begged associate adrian to help me put it on. he said he can't. when i tried myself it didn't work and light can work anymore. went back to ask for a replacement. nesha and adrian told me i have to get a new one. i went straight to napa auto parts to get a new one. i am not going back in my lifetime. i regret buying a $130 battery there last week. wish i knew.

bought a battery ten months ago. started experiencing problems starting car about 6 weeks ago. went to store had battery checked - told it needs charging for 45 minutes. after 4 days problem returned, took my car for service and asked my mechanic to check if any problems draining battery. car ok, battery has one dead cell. returned to advance auto found same manager, explained this was a return visit. was informed again store policy is to recharge battery.

bought an gold autocraft battery for my 2007 honda cr-v about 2 years ago. now it has died and advance auto parts would not do anything to help even though they are the only one who carries this battery...i have called the store, called the 1-800# and emailed corporate and today i emailed the ceo as well. i do not want to waste $100 on a battery....

i called advance auto and a lady answered the phone. i asked if she could check to see if they had castrol edge synthetic oil spt 5w-40. i could not find that oil anywhere! the lady took a very long time but i held on because that's the oil i use for my vehicle. she came back and said she had 12 quarts. i was thrilled! i send my dad up there and it turns out they never had that oil. i was lied to. my dad wasted his time and gas. i was not happy about that. the lady clearly did not listen to me.

i bought a new commercial vehicle with one of their auto starts silver batteries. that is their personal brand 4 months ago. its battery is completely dead and they would not exchange it for a new battery. talk about not standing behind your product. buyers beware!!!! and to top it all, they told me to leave the battery there and in the morning a supervisor would help me. so when i called the next morning, they said there's nothing they can do and they still have my battery.

my husband went into your store at 1200 blanding to purchase a bottle of blue devil. we wanted it price matched which was refused even though the napa website clearly states it is the in store price. however because napa was closed, the so-called parts guy could not verify it... (guess the phone in my husband's hands with the price on the screen was not good enough, nor the internet on your own computers in store). we also planned to purchase 4 gallons of coolant, spark plugs, thermostat & several other items. we chose to do business with you all because you are in my neighborhood & now i will chose to drive 7 miles out of the way from now on. we also have a commercial account with one of your stores across town that i will now refuse to buy anything from that i spend approx $20k a month in parts out of. we also have a small at home business that we have spent thousands of dollars at this location for but i will never buy another thing from you, period.

while on the hot rod power tour this june, i stopped at your store in newport, tenn. i was having trouble getting my 1964 corvette running. the alternator went out earlier in the week in illinois and i had also put a new battery in. i couldn't figure out what was wrong. you have two older guys behind the counter, i didn't get their name, that first had me pull the alternator, so they could test it, to make sure it still worked. it was good. they asked questions about my car and what had happened up to this point. after talking to them about the connections on the alternator that i had replaced a couple of days ago, they figured out that the advance auto store in gallsburg, ill. gave me the wrong alternator and it wouldn't charge the battery - that why it kept stalling out. anyway to make a long story short, they gave me credit for the wrong alt. that the store in ill. sold me and sold me the right one that worked perfectly all the way back to iowa. your guys knew their stuff and were very friendly. i was very happy to have my baby running good again. i wish i would have gotten their names. they deserve a pat on the back. they know their business. you need to keep guys like this around. thank you!!

i used to be a customer of advance auto parts ...... no more. this company simply does not give a damn after you spend your money there. i tripped over an improperly installed wheel-stop ramp (18" from the curb and in the pedestrian path access/egress lane from store), unpainted, same color as lot and filthy oil stained. falling against the fender of my car, i flipped over and fell on my back. in the process i broke my right foot. when questioning the manager about the unpainted, unsafe and filthy conditions all he had to say was: "we've been after them (management) for years to do something. they just won't do anything". after filing a claims report, sedgwick cms the company contracted by advance acted like a professional boiler-room stonewalling operation rejecting my claim, leaving me to foot the medical bills. legal advice sought brought only a "you're fighting wind-mills" comment. apparently these low-life bottom-feeders owned by the ethical and morally challenged wall street firm kkr (kohlberg, kravis and roberts) can operate freely at the legal boundaries without being challenged by any authority. welcome to the red-state dreamland.

on july 4th, i purchased the generator (tou 5843219 for a volks beetle 1968) from advance auto parts store #09185. the price of the generator was $88.99 plus core $14.00. on july 9th, i hired a professional mechanic to install the generator. in order to do this job, the engine of my beetle had to be removed. when the job was completed, the mechanic and myself tested the car. unfortunately, at that moment we realized the generator was defective; electricity was not being sent to the battery. i contacted the store immediately to inform them of the defective generator. their first reaction was to put the fault on me indicating that i was not doing the job properly. the salesperson and his manager continue evading responsibility for their sale of defective products.

i want everyone to pay attention to what i have to say here because you could be their next victim! advance auto parts ripped me off! after purchasing over 100 bucks in brake parts from their site (online), i was promised a $50 voucher (gift card) to use on my next online purchase. a month later as promised, i got the $50 discount on my next order (seat covers) but had to return them because they didn't fit my truck. i must point out that there was nothing on the online order form that posted what year, make and model the seat covers would fit, just a listing for truck seat covers. okay. they didn't fit so i carefully put them back in the package and returned them. then i got no credit back. yep, they literally ripped me off! no store credit, no gift card, no online credit, zip, zero, nada, nothing!

i bought a starter for my car on june 19 2012 from advanced auto parts located on 800 north main street, blacksburg , va, and after exactly 11 months (may 2013) my car did not start and i had to take it to the mechanic and he said that the starter needs to be replaced! honestly i was shocked because i am not supposed to have any problem with it since it was replaced in less than a year! the starter has a limited life time warranty, so the mechanic contacted advanced auto parts for a replacement and i had to pay $148 for labor for the second time. on oct 28, 2014 my car did not start and the mechanic checked everything in the car including the battery and again it is the starter !!! the mechanic changed the starter as in the second time and i had to go through all the frustration and also pay another $148 for the third time for labor! i went to advanced auto parts on north main street to talk to them because the least i can get from them is an apology! the first employer i talked to although he did not do anything helpful but he was polite until another employer came asking what i want exactly, and i gave him the documents and he said we cannot do anything about it unless you take that starter out and we can give you your money you paid for the starter back! he was so rude and did not even bother to say sorry! i left the place because they wasted my money and caused me troubles and that employer does not worth any minute of my time to be wasted talking to him. i am not going to deal with you advance auto parts and my advise to others is (((do not deal with them))).

my husband is a regular customer at advance autoparts, there was no incidents until he shopped at the advance autoparts store number 5135. there he met a very special sales person, donald m., who is very impolite, mouthy and provocative. when my husband began to lose his cool, i told this sales person to move on and charge me so we can get out of the store. instead this sales person went on and on blah blah blah... needless to say, we will not be back!

one line summary: "the amazon of auto parts"first time dealing with them since i needed some car parts and they had some really really good coupons. service is great, shipping speed as well, and returns was trouble free.ordered 4/22/2014, and it was delivered on 4/24/2014 via priority mail. i didn't even select this shipping method. by the time i placed the order, the next morning i tried to add some small items i forgot to add to the order, since i already reached the free shipping threshold. this couldn't be done since the order was already processing, and the representative said she would waive the shipping for these small items and ship them anyway.customer service is nice, phone support is fast, and emails are answered within 24 hours. they even have chat service.return policy is 90 days! so i followed to return some unused items, and shipped them. i got refunded appropriately a couple of days after they received the items.

word of caution...the managers there have no clue how to treat a customer. i had to use my cell phone this morning to call the temple manager to get instructions on how to process a refund on a defective radiator. after 20 minutes, the pflugerville manager requested i come back at 1 since he was new. as soon as i walked in later that afternoon, the apparent seasoned at this location manager said said we can't issue a refund on behalf of temple. at this point i was already annoyed with my first experience...i walked out with my radiator. driving to temple to get a refund. $250 is worth the expense to me. this guys are totally inept to say the least.

this store has been great. i've placed multiple orders online for in-store pickup, and it's always a smooth process. on one occasion i had a tail lamp bulb out, and they didn't have a bmw bulb in stock. but, the guy was able to find an exact fit replacement of a different model number. he let me go out to my vehicle to be certain that it fit properly before charging me, which was a nice gesture.

I went in the store to pick up some smell goods and the guys working there were just looking at me. They never asked me if I needed help just were being pigs looking at me. They need to hire more professional people. I felt very uncomfortable so I just left.

Excellent price on a battery for my Volvo- by ordering it online I saved over $30. They had it in stock, exactly as advertised, installed it for me for no charge and refunded my core charge immediately. The store staff was courteous, intelligent and wasted no time. The amps stated on the battery were substantially BETTER than their website (770 CCA versus 600).

They were very friendly and the service was great. My car wouldn't start and so I called several places in Morgantown. Of course, since I am a young female they automatically assumed that I was a college student and quoted outrageous prices for replacing as well as changing my battery. Finally, I gave up and had my car jumped. I then went to Advanced where they checked my battery, FOR FREE, and confirmed it was next to dead. They then helped me to locate the battery I needed, which was nowhere near as expensive as the machine shops here, and installed it for FREE. I was very surprised and greatly relieved by the simple, friendly service and their ability to help without charging an arm and a leg. I definitely recommend this Advance Auto Parts to anyone worried about their budget.

If all the employees are like the Thomas B. who helped me, then this Auto Parts shop is the best around. He was efficient, he helped me understand what I needed to have in order to improve the quality of my car, and he did so in a way that was both empowering and motivating without feeling overwhelmed or over budget. He was personable and his service was awesome, and even provided good comic relief while cashing out. His knowledge of Advanced Auto Parts' products was incredible and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him for any future help/issues I may have for my car. I highly recommend this branch if you're looking for assistance with your own automobile.

Don't waste your money for junk spare parts. I bought new expensive radiator from this store then It was leaking more than the old used one for that I paid twice for labor, radiator's liquid and time. It cost me more than if i would fix it at Honda dealer. They have stupid returning policy.

Pretty knowledgeable staff, bought a pair of non matching calipers. Each caliper has different hardware, no idea where their quality control is. For batteries, Costco has it cheaper about $60. Hints: buy from website, and pick up in store. website usually has coupon codes for a good discount. there's also a referral program for $35 off for $85 first time purchases, and you get $10 back for referring a friend.

I love the fact that these guys are walking distance from my house! I've been here quite a few times since I tend to do some very minor car work on my own (oil, filters, etc), nothing big or fancy. As soon as you walk into the store, you're greeted by friendly employees that are more than willing to help you. They have never came across being annoyed or that they didn't want to help, it's the very opposite which is very unusual. The store is also well kept, clean, organized, with plenty of inventory. Last time I was here, it was cold, raining, and one of the employees didn't hesitate for one second to step out of the store, and help me change a filter that I was having problems with. Friendly, clean, organized, helpful store? I'm sold! From all the car stores that I could go to, I will certainly continue to visit this specific store!

Was was in the neighborhood doing some shopping and my turn signal bulb on my porsche cayenne went bad. I called every store around and no one had it in stock. I finally saw advanced and drove right in. Mike was awesome! Helped me find the bulb and also let me use his wrench set to remove my light and install my bulb... Read up on oil filters and decided that the Purolator Pure One Filter was the way to go. It seems everyone and their dog seemed to carry Fram (Which ranked at the low end of the scale and the opposite end of Puralotor Pure One) Not only did they have an extensive selection of oil and air filters (some I had read about but never seen in an Autozone or OReillys), I was honestly amazed at their low prices. I always thought you had to buy your basic vehicle maintenance supplies at Wal-mart to get the lowest price. This place is the Wal-mart of auto parts stores.

Very Poor. - I was returning a set of wipers I purchased 2 weeks prior & employee seemed unsure if he would return one because I advised him that I did actually put 1 on my car at one point but realized I didn't need new wipers and the new one weren't even better then my current ones, so now that I was back from my out of state vacation, I came to return them both. ( I did have the receipt). He said we usually do not return them, but he would let a supervisor decide. I said "oh, I didn't realize that". He said "well if you buy an outfit can you wear it and return it"? I waited there for a few mins because the supervisor was assisting others. He then said he wasn't going to have me wait, he would just do it. I thought okay but then he began to question me again. He then looked at my receipt and asked me.. So you purchased this 11/24 right? I said yes. He then said " Now what day is it today? I didn't respond. He then asked me again, what is today's date?? I said it is 12/07. He said exactly. I then became very fed up with him because he was way out of order. I told him to forget it, just return the one wiper, he was just going through too much and it is not that serious for $13. He said "that's what I'm saying, I am beginning to think you are up to something shady (it was shady or shiesty) because how you're acting now. He then stated that I keep changing my story. At that time, I advised him that I was just fed up because he could of either said yes or no and he didn't, he said he would turn it over to someone else, then he decided to take back over my issue but drill me about it and accuse me of trying to do something unethical and that is unacceptable. I advised him to just return the one so I could leave cause I was done. He then refuse to help me and told the supervisor. "Man you can ring her up." I went to the supervisor and he was very nice and he told me he remembered when I came two weeks ago and advised them that I was unsure if I even needed wipers but no one could check. He asked me did I want to return one or both and I advised him that it is his decision, I just can't be talked to like that for a $13 wiper and I was just being honest about it, I wasn't being "shady" about a wiper. The supervisor was very calm and nice. I then asked the supervisor for the man's name (not loud at all) before the supervisor could answer, the original associate was like " Oh my name is Waine, you want me to write it down for you" and provided me with the spelling. I took the info, the supervisor started to apologize, I advised him that I will be filing a formal complaint, because although he may deal with a lot of people that are not right, everyone is not that way and he cannot talk to people in that manner. I thanked the supervisor and left. This was the worst retail experience I have ever had. I wrote down the time that I was there and I will be contacting the corporate office and asking them not only take my word but to pull the video and judge for themselves. We as people have to be better towards one another and if we are not, we must be held accountable. I gave two stars because of the supervisor and I thank him again, not for returning the item but for showing empathy in a situation that was clearly mishandled & treating me like a decent human being.

I was at an oil change place with my 2014 VW GLI 2.0L. They didn't have the filter my car needed. I called this place and asked if they had a filter. They said yes but also said to ask the oil change place of they had a 252 filter = "you might not need to give us your business". Jake was so honest with me he was willing to not get a sale by giving me good information. Are you kidding me? I have a new favorite car part place. Jake was also friendly, courteous, and efficient and offered options of various prices and qualities. Jake sold me on the Boss Purolator filter, which I bought and will buy in the future. The owner Tony is the most honest shop owner I have ever done business with. I have been bringing my car to him for years. He never tries to oversell you on an repair. He charges a fair price and is always honest with you. He won't tell you to fix anything that doesn't need to be repaired and will tell you when something can wait. I recently had some emission problems and had to bring it to him a few times. He was trying to save me money by only fixing what he though was needed to pass emissions. Long story short, I had to bring it back it in a couple of times but he was trying to save me some money and in the end he still did save me a few hundred dollars. My car passed emissions and is running very well. The location may not be the best, but the honest fair service I received at Advance Automotive more then makes up for it. I doubt I'll ever find a more honest, fair shop that does good work.

Tony is the man--accommodating, solicitous, efficient, knowledgeable, and honest--I hesitate to recommend him, because I suspect he's way overworked! but that's not a problem for him, evidently--he keeps a tidy shop, even with a lot full of cars. there is rarely space to park when you pull in. if you bring your car to Advanced, rest easy; it will get the best service, at the best rates.

Honestly, if you place your order online and pickup in the store there are usually deals to be had out there! The parts selection is great and if your item isn't in the store it's pretty quick that they'll ship it to the store or your address. ordered a d41r battery in grand rapids (where I live) was in the area of this store for work and tried to swap the battery (had it in my trunk and old battery finally kicked it) to my surprise the grand rapids store didn't give me a d51r, but a d51 (the terminals are reversed) this store made what could have been an ugly process completely hassle free. any time I am in the area this store will get my business. thanks and keep up the good work!

As many times as AutoZone has screwed me over, I'd still go back there over this place. Every time I go in there, I can be talking over a problem with an associate, everything's cool. Then suddenly, this know-it-all douchebag (backwards hat, stupid goatee, constantly pissed off) from the back comes storming out (same guy every time), because he can overhear us, and says something along the lines of "No that parts not gonna work you're basically f@cked" and offers no further advice. Again, this has happened more than once. Never had a pleasant experience in this store and find no need to come back and try to have one.

I frequent this location and this store is great. It's clean and organized. The layout makes sense. You are greeted by staff when you walk in and more importantly, they always seem to have at least one person free to help you. Returns are quick and easy and they don't seem to mind when you order online and pick-up at the store. They usually have my order ready by the time I reach the store (10 minutes or less).

I'm writing this on behalf of my husband because I was seriously annoyed at this store's management of the order he placed. We needed a new distributor cap for the car, something my husband thought he could do himself, so he ordered the part, which they said would be in by the end of the day. By closing, no call had come and when he called to check they said deliveries were delayed due to weather. Fair enough, but then the part didn't arrive for the entire next day, and again, we weren't called with an update. The next day my husband decided to have his car towed to the shop and called auto parts to cancel the order. By now this is the third day after the order, and when he called the store they said something to the effect of "oh yeah, it's been here two days, are you going to come and pick it up?" My husband pointed out that he now had no car to drive there with, since our other car was out of town with me for the weekend, so he wanted to cancel the order. To add insult to injury, he was now told that to cancel the order he had to bring his credit card back in before they could refund his money. A week and a half later we still haven't got our money back.

HORRIBLE; 18 yr. old daughter stopped to get wiper blades, They told her the only ones they had where also the most expensive that they carried. She bought them and had them install them on the car. a week later one of them fell apart going down the road, she was able to stop and pick it up but when she tried to get it replaced, she could not find the reciept they would not do anything to help her and where very Rude to her. I stopped at the store to try to get things straitened out they told me that there was no way that they could tell if it was one of there products, I took one of the blades off the shelf put it on the counter and told them that I could tell the difference between that one and there competitors, there General Manager Jeremy told me to leave his store or he was going to call the police. Outstanding service. I happened to find this store on the day that they were having their grand opening. I was greeted at the front door by Noel with a HANDSHAKE, a smile, and a warm welcome! He actually came outside and opened the door for me. I have never gone into any place of business and felt so welcomed and appreciated. Noel gave me a brief tour and told me what the best deals were for their grand opening. He was very friendly and helpful. When I had completed my shopping, Noel took it upon himself to take my order out to my vehicle and helped me load it into my car. I wish every experience was as great as this when you walk into an Auto Parts store, or any business really. Had I been unfamiliar with Advance Auto Parts, I would have thought Noel owned the store. On a frigid January night, my car battery died. Knowing that Advance Auto instals batteries, I sheepishly inquired if they could install a battery - in the sub-zero wind chill. Lenny stepped up to the plate, spending the better part of an hour pulling the old one and installing a new one. And it wasn't easy; most of the bolts were rusted and connections had failed, necessitating a lot more work than expected. It's so unusual to find this type of service where people are so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Thank-you, Lenny.

This was the worse experience i have ever had at any type of auto part store, i have spent 1,000 of dollars at orielys never recieved a discount but never been so disgusted and disrespected in my life. After i called for 2 belts and was told they were in stock. I asked repeatedly if they were the sizes i gave them and the right amount of groves was told yes 3 times . i get there they only have one i asked for 41in belt 6 grove i waited for 20 mins and recieved a 43in 5 grove . i ask again is this 41in belt as im reading the package 43 x45 . manger says yesi paid 16.09 . I take it home make sure that it would work. And it wouldnt work. At 6 oclock i call ask for a manager james says he doesnt know how the guy read it wrong. I return it and recieve 8.46. And do not recieve a reciept. I come back in and ask for it and was told i was not suppose to recieve one. When i finally got him to give me one it was the "orginal" reciept wouldnt give the return receipt . i left went to 9 and gratiot where i always go scanned the "orginal" reciept rang up 16.09 the nice gentlement said go get your money back. James was sitting on the corner comes around the outside of the counter and i stated i think you owe me some more money. Next thing i know me and james and nose to nose with him telling me what im going to do with another 300 pound african american behind me with me and my girlfriend in the store. Wouldnt give me my money said i got 50% for no reason. And he does all the time. Corporate is on the phone saying they can not do that. But i was acting unprofessional and i cant do anything. As i walked out theres a car full of african americans yelling out the window i asked him what he said. He repiled i said what up got out the car with a bottle of liqour and started punching in the air at james. Before you knew it there were 10 of them not one buying anything. I felt like and got treated like i was walking down 7 mile about to get jumped at advance auto parts.. This is not DETRIOT you cant do what you do in the streets at your job. Good luck to this place. And i will never go there again.

I heard that they would check your car's system for free (when your check engine light is on). I also need a battery and air filter. They checked my codes and cleared it out because there was nothing wrong - pretty much guarantee that a repair shop would charge you for that! Then they offered to install my battery for me at no charge. They even replaced some metal bracket things holding my battery in place (at no charge). I tried to tip them and they wouldn't accept it. I will be going here for all of my car needs from here on out. I couldn't be happier.

The guys at Advance were the most helpful I have ever experienced. They tested my dying battery, charged it for free, and were not pushy about sales when we discovered that the battery was in close need of replacement. They were incredibly friendly, informative, and did not talk to me like I was an idiot just because I am a female (which happens many other places!). I will definitely be returning when it does come time to replace that battery!

I often go to Advance AutoParts when I need something for my cars. I have been in different local stores. This store in Allston MA is the best one I have ever been. The staffs are excellent! I am very disappointed with the staff at this store. My truck is not working but the location is walking distance from my home. I called into the store to see if they carried a part I need for my truck "ignition cylinder". One of the employees I spoke to over the phone ( I would say his name and the manager name but I am not going to be that shady) told me the part was not in store but it can be order. I was very interested and was told the part will be in store by next business day around 2 p.m. I called the next day and was told I had to pay for the part before they could order it. Well....the staff person I talked to did not say that rather gave me the impression that he was going to have the part ready for me at the store. My car is not running, I have someone coming to my house to fix my truck, and I have to walk to Advance Auto to pick up my part....that is not even at the store. I asked manager if I could pay for part over the phone and pick it up Saturday morning before the mechanic come. The manager said no! Not only do I not have a part for my truck, but the manager did not care to provide me with helpful customer service. What am I going to do now? I have not family or friends near me that drive. I guess I need to go to catch the bus to a different Auto Part store and pay for the part I need, which I don't have to wait for it to be order. Dis Satisfied Customer!

I had purchased two break bulbs from a neighboring store. When trying to return the bulbs, because they wouldn't fit I was rudely turned away. When I asked to speak to the supervisor the associate then rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth, then replayed, "I am the supervisor." Two other associates were walking speaking rudely also. This place is supremely unprofessional. I didn't write a review the first time I ran into problem there, but this time was over the top.

I came in with w bent battery terminal and wanted to purchase a new battery. The manager came out and looked at my terminal and said that I would have to go to Honda and get an OEM part. I went down the street to Standard Auto Parts on North Avenue and he replaced the battery and terminal within 15 minutes. Not a bad selection of stuff, especially accessories, but the knowledge just wasn't there.

If could not give any stars I wouldn't. My husband went to this location to pick up a battery (he planned on having installed by a friend.). After giving the sales associate the year, make and model of his car she rung the battery up and offered free installation. At first we declined but she insisted that she installed because it was apart of the "free battery installation" that Advance Auto advertises. We went out to the car and 5 minutes later the car's alarm is going crazy and the car won't start. To make a long story short, she had installed the battery improperly(the negative on the positive and the positive on the negative) causing the whole computer system in the car to shut down. We had to get the car towed to the dealership, rent a rental car and wait several days to even be reimbursed for the money we had to put out in getting our car on the road. By far the worst experience for something that should have been so simple. Stay far away!!

They don't stock a lot of things. They're quick to custom order parts and get them in in a matter of hours, but they're probably just running out to autozone to buy them for you ;-) I make that joke, because prices almost across the board were 50% higher than the big chains. Spark plugs? $2.50 instead of $1.50. Gap tool? $2 instead of $1. Radiator? $150 intead of $100 (same brand) They were anything but rude; definitely courteous. But unless you're right in the neighborhood and just need something small, why struggle to parallel park on this small road only to pay a huge markup, when 5 miles away there's sure to be a big chain store with a parking lot, the item already in stock, and 33% cheaper besides? People talk about the personal service that 'mom&pops' provide; but in this case the service at the chain autoparts stores is frequently as good and sometimes better.

I went to advance Autopart on Baltimore National Pike Rt. 40 in Ingleside plaza. I was there to get a headlight. The guy asked my year,make & model of my car and I gave it to him. He gave the lighbulb. It was $10 plus tax. I then asked if They could change the lightbulb for me and he said no. So the next day i went to pepboys where they serviced my car but also told me that i was sold the WRONG lightbulb for my headlight. I was forced to buy another lightbulb & pay for the service. I then called advance auto part and was told that I could only get a store credit. I feel like if I was sold the wrong part then I should recieve my money back. With or without my receipt because it was not my mistake that was made. Therefore I will never step foot into another advance auto part. I even called a friend of mine who was on her way to the advance autopart for the SAMETHING and stopped her. I told her to go straight to pepboys. This is ridiculous.

I went to the store to return an item and buy something else but the manger had to do it. Well i must say the sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to what i was looking for. The staff was dressed well and very curious and polite. As i was looking for other things in the aisle the Manger Maxwell can to assist me and return the item that i needed to return. There was nobody at The front desk and it took about 15 minutes for one of the sales people to be able to help me get a cabin filter. They're also playing the hip-hop radio station over the loudspeakers and one of the sales associates was playing a separate to hip-hop radio station on his cell phone. Although the person who did end up helping me in the end was very helpful a little hustle can go along way.

The incompetence of this store and its employees is endless. I have been to other Advanced Auto Parts stores and they put this store to shame. The employees don’t have the slightest idea what a car is or how to spell it and their inventory is constantly inaccurate. No customer service... They broke parts of my car. Came in to get my battery checked and to purchase a new one. They went ahead and charged me for the battery. (This I didn't mind). When they went out to put in the new one, They man working on the car (lets call him "J") mentioned that it might just be the connection not the battery. I figured he would check the old one to make sure it was still good. He didn't. This didn't upset me because it was an old battery and I pretty much knew it was dead. J then went to put on the battery in the car. When he went to put the positive end on he started pushing to try to fit it on. It didn't go on smoothly and he started pushing so hard that the front of the car was bouncing up and down. This lasted for about 30 seconds. It was almost as if he was jumping on the car. This is when the connector broke (this connector was less than 2 years old). He complained about how it was a bad product. He went in, grabbed a new connector, and went to put it on. The wires were a little short so he started to pull at the electrical wires trying to fit them with the new connector. (I was waiting for him to rip something out). He eventually got it connected and we started the car. What frustrated me the most, (besides him jumping and pulling on my car), was that after we started the car, J told me I can go inside and pay for the new connector. Yes, it's only $4, but it was unnecessary. He broke it, he should pay for it. Overall, no real customer service and I will never be going back again.

I work at a local shop that gets parts from advance on Lafeyette road. Horrible service, 99% of the employees have no idea what there doing or talking about when there apparently "specialized" in auto parts. We get the wrong part 75% of the time. Would never use advance auto on my personal vehicles or recommend any of my friends or family.

First off a little back ground i purchased a battery marked used that had never been installed only taken out of the store a brought back in by the staff because it was the wrong size. I was told by said staff that this battery would come with the full 1 year warranty because it was never installed. a year passed and i have the batter checked and its only producing 550 amps suppose to produce 770. so i take it back and the staff stated that they would honor the warranty since the battery was 1 year and 20 days old. so i make the exchange paying only a core charge or so i was told. the next day i reviewed my account and was charged full price for the battery under warranty. I proceed to call the store and the manger who made the deal said he would have never maid suck a deal and he would not give me my money back. So i call corporate and get the company line that we would never make such a deal. but they would give me my money black if i gave them back the battery in exchange for my old one back. but they wont change the battery for me as it takes more than 15 minutes. so how to you exchange a batter for a different battery with out removing the battery at the store as i only have one car? so long story short i paid full price for a battery i was told was free minus core charge. do not trust the staff their at there word as they will screw you in the end, and if you cant trust some one at there word then they are a worthless human being. so what ever you do avoid this crooked store and spread the work no one that can't be taken at their word deserves to remain is business.

Just got to Denver from NC. Our car started acting up, so we parked in the large and mostly empty lot. I ran next door to pee, because Advance doesnt even have public bathrooms. No sooner did i return, did the associate come running out to tell us he had already called a tow truck. Waving us off, yelling, and turning his back on us to return to the store. No apology given. Horrible experience!!! First, the motor oil they claimed to have in stock (and at other stores as well) was not in stock. [I had spent some time online before traveling 18+mi to the store trying to find a specific oil for my car]. The clerk (tall, heavyset with bald/shaved head) seemed disinterested in helping any further and I had to ask for him to check the back, he also seemed put off by the fact that I asked for him to call another store; the website claimed others in the area had it too. The call to the other store started with an off-topic non-work related conversation with the individual on the other end while I stood there. Not to my surprise at this point, the other store didn't have it either. Clerk seemed uninterested in helping any further, maybe find another alternative. I work on my car myself, have pretty much all my life... so researching parts is something i'm used to. Very disappointed in the inaccuracy of the website, even MORE disappointed in the customer service. I won't be back. O'Reilly down the street saved the day for me.

For those truly experienced in dealing with numerous chain stores- We all know that 90% of the staff are idiotic teenagers that can hardly decipher where you put the fuel into any vehicle if it's not detailed in a video game or an "app" on their cell phone. That being said, this is the only store we source parts at, we spend an avg of 50K a year on parts and have never had an issue with this store. The staff is highly intelligent and knows how to source parts outside of the typical idiotic self service computer. Simply put, they all have a mechanical mindset and are very friendly. Regardless of what part of Colorado we are in, it is worth the drive to Golden to have the knowledge we got the right part the first time, and not to have to deal with the morons that encapsulate today's customer service in the automotive industry. This stores manager Jimmy I believe went above & beyond! Gave me a great discount because the part I wanted didn't come in as scheduled and let me use a tool so I didn't need to but one fir a single use. It's rare to get good service like that in a retail environment these days.

Called and talked to a girl on the phone she sounded Hispanic. That doesn't mean anything but I don't understand how people can get a job at auto parts store if they don't know anything about automobiles. I asked two simple questions about stock of a 2ft Exhaust pipe and she had to have me explain to her what a pipe looked like... No auto experience is irrelevant she should she just go back to McDonald's

I had help from Kristy, Angel, another employee and they were all so amazing with their customer service. I had them check my battery which was bad, however, from another store. They gave me a jump even though I was leaving to another place to get my "warranty" battery replaced. Not many people would do that knowing you were going to leave. I will always go there to get anything else I ever need!!

Great experience with this place. I called to get info about a window regulator. I spoke with Dan and I can't thank him enough. Every placed that I called talked to me like I was 3 yr d child that doesn't know anything. Dan was very different. He wae very helpful and was able to get me a window regulator sent to his location. Terrible service and Lies. I go into to attempt to use an OBD2 code reader, the first response was "It is company policy that only an employee can check your codes and I am the only employee here right now", cool I understand, you don't want people to walk off with your code reader. Except wait, a second employee, an apparition? No he is real! So this first guy lied, great way to start off my experience. So then the first guy decides to tell me "It is the law that you can not read your own codes" Yes, this did stink like something cows leave behind. So I leave, why would I stay, they clearly do not want to help me. I go home and spend 30 minutes researching Colorado law and can find absolutely nothing about it being against the law to let me check my own engine codes. So my question to you advance auto parts is this, What Colorado law is it against? Could you please provide me the article and section? Or will you admit to your lie? Don't lie to your customers. For a company that promotes DIY repairs you sure do make it hard.

I've gone in there 4 times, and I can no longer chalk it up to "bad luck." The people here have no emotion or respect. Every time I've walked in I've been spoken to as if I was being ridiculed for my question. I know my way around a car, and to be treated like I'm another customer who doesn't know what they are doing is a little annoying. No sales person has ever been friendly, and when they offer to help they stand there and look at me like I am speaking gibberish. After getting stared down with a puzzled and frustrated look, I eventually start explaining it word for word and they just go look it up on the computer instead of trying to find it on the sales floor. I will continue to take my business to AutoZone whenever I need something, its just too frustrated to be treated so little here.

Stopped here because the check engine light came on and asked to have them check what code is showing. The girl at the counter said that the diagnostic tool doesn't work when it's snowing outside. Went to another advance auto parts where they tested it. Don't waste your time at this store.

Don't know what the return policy on tool is but is ridiculous, bought 02 sensor tool really very weak and i can tell is not goin to get the job done, went to return the tool after an hour and they told me it can't be return because i use it. Well how im i goin to know if the tool work if i don't use it. Do not buy tools from them is just waste of time and money.

One of the worst places I've ever done business. The manager is a joke. I asked a few questions and one of the employees literally told me "I don't know anything about cars". They gave me the wrong part and then didn't even want to swap it for me, manager acted like it wasn't his problem that his employee (who admitted they don't know about cars) gave me the wrong part. Would give -5 stars if I could. Avoid at all cost, you will regret doing business here when something goes wrong.

My goodness. What an incredible experience! Called about 30 seconds ahead, phone was answered by a kind man, told me to bring the car by. When I arrived, he remembered our phone conversation and we got to work on the battery on my car. We tested it, found a great priced, but quality replacement, replaced the battery, had a wonderful conversation during the process and before I knew, he was finished. Guy's name is Robert and I highly recommend not only this establishment for car parts, but requesting this hard-working and customer-oriented guy.

Today I return to this store to return a few items which had never been opened or used. Due to the crappy paper and ink used on these receipts it became illegible by the scanner. Instead of returning my refund in cash (which is how I payed) the manager refused to override it and only offered a store card. Other stores sell cheaper so this store card is worth less than its face value. Do everything NOT to deal with Sharma the store manager. He is very unprofessional. Stay away!!! I won't be returning.

Long story short I'm a DIY kinda of guy so I don't know a lot about cars except how to install and uninstall parts. Went to 2 autozones with a piece of the bad part and tons of pictures, they couldn't help me. Past by AAP on the way home from work, two employees were able to help me find the part in 6 minutes. Bob and Eddie thank you so much!!! I can finally fix my car. If you don't know a lot about cars and want to save money and DIY come to this place and ask for Bob.
