I had fantastic service from Colliers at all stages of negotiating my lease agreement.
Friendly staff! Great Location! Absolutely satisfied after the services they provided!
Colliers International were the "professional experts" that managed the property where my company was a long time tenant (11 years at the time), after it went back to Bank of America, October 2011. The property is the West Chester Billiards Centre located in West Chester, OH and it recently sold via online auction to an out-of-state buyer, closing on November 26, 2013. One word describes their management and leasing style - inept. I could go into nauseating detail how they were arrogant, self-serving, minimalists', but what's the point.
It's laughable that real estate companies get paid to do the kind of job Colliers did managing the property and finding new tenants. Not only did the property remain 60% vacant, but when I sent a LOI in March 2013 to negotiate a new lease, they didn't even bother to respond until July! I guess the term 'time is of the essence' is only important when they send something.
I think the problem is they have no stake in the well being of the property OR the community, so they do next to nothing waiting for the property sell in auction. They're miscreants' thinking only of themselves.

Thomas Kenna from Colliers International is an extremely knowledgeable and patient agent and helped us navigate the crazy Durham/Chapel Hill, NC real estate business market with our best interests in mind. He was like our personal advisor and went out of his way to research spaces that would fit our criteria and budget, prepared comparable market pricing analysis and gave us valuable advice to help us rent a premise in an extremely competitive market. Thomas was always extremely responsive, thorough, and prepared multiple offers for us in a short amount of time. It took us about 6 months to find a place for our Franchise, he was very patient and kept us positive during our search and showed us dozens of locations. He also coordinated conference calls for us with the franchise's Realtor, reviewed the findings and provided us good advice. He has an in depth understanding of the legal terms & conditions within each contract and educated us on the whole process from submitting an offer to landlords. I recommend Thomas Kenna from Colliers International to anyone who is looking for a full service, personal approach to the rent-a-business process without the high pressure of other companies. Thank you!
I had the pleasure of working with Baxter Walker on finding a commercial space in Holly Springs to start a small business. Baxter was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and took the time to educate both me and my wife in many aspects of the process. He helped in areas not related to real estate and was able to provide excellent guidance. Opening a business is a very tough thing to do so surrounding yourself with people able and willing to go the extra mile is key, and Baxter certainly met and exceeded our expectations. It is evident that he truly loves what he does and takes pleasure in ensuring his clients needs are met and that he places them in a space that is right for them and the business model.
Baxter Walker is a true professional and master of his domain who actually cares about his clients and their needs. I have worked with him for over 6 months in order to find exactly what we were looking for in the Triangle. He was extremely patient and accommodating! Will conduct business again in the near future!
I continue to be impressed by the Collier's team. Not only their ability to facilitate strategic acquisitions, but also their attention to detail and involvement throughout the entire process. I had the pleasure of working with Frank Quinn assembling land in downtown Raleigh, and could not be more pleased with the outcome. We have also selected Collier's to represent the leasing of Legacy @ Brier Creek, a 115,000 SF Class A Office development, and are very pleased with their efforts and new age technology that is implemented.
Baxter truly went above and beyond with finding the right space. From the beginning he worked within my company's budget to find the best space for the money while taking our "wish list" into consideration. Baxter offered his opinion and was extremely insightful when looking at properties and was able to spot things in the space that I would not have caught on my own. Once we located an office space we were up against a tight deadline to host an important corporate event at the new office. Baxter worked tirelessly to make sure everything was in place and truly went above and beyond. I would certainly recommend Baxter to anyone who is looking for commercial real estate!
Great company, awesome people!
Great company for buying, selling, and leasing commercial property.
We have had great experiences with Colliers. Their help was always friendly and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for commercial space or real estate investment.
Colliers International is definitely the way to go. Last year, we interviewed several commercial real estate services and selected Colliers for the sale of our building, 900 Lovett, Houston, TX 77006. Colliers brought in a team of specialist for all areas, including research and marketing. They worked with both the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies Board of Directors and myself (Executive Director) to prepare the building for the sale at the best price. During the course of the showings, they were very professional and respectful of our work environment. In the end, they achieved success! The sale of our building went smoothly. Colliers helped position the new owners to allow us to lease back our space and stay in the building.
Incredibly unprofessional, arrogant and petulant... A typical company that is not willing to move its "little finger" or show their "not-so-good-service" unless they are absolutely sure that they can make enough to worth the effort.
If you are looking for a professional company in this competitive market do your research first, and do not call the first that shows up on Google like I did, unless you want to wast your time, unfortunately, like I did too.

I have had contact with a number of brokers while working on my company's office move. I have to say, the broker that put out the most effort and was one of the most informative when I knew very little about the commercial real estate business was Michael Castello at Collier's. He not only explained in great detail what we should expect, he also explained why we should work with his company, as well as wrote out a very detailed timeline as to how they would go about the process of looking for an office for us and would close the sale, while negotiating to be paid by the landlord, not by us, the tenants. I did not end up using their company, but I will say that I was very impressed with the effort they put out, especially as I was only putting out initial feelers.
The agent I worked with was Dave Evans. He was the first agent I talked with about a building for my company. I wasn't able to use him in the end only because the building was not going to work out. But he was very helpful and informative. I won't get into the details but let's just say he has a heart of gold and really cares about his clients. If you should see a building you want and his name is on the sign, he is your man.
This company represents landlords as part of their business, and boy, do they represent landlords. Nickel and dime EVERYTHING, jack the rent up 50% in a lease renewal (yep, you read that correctly), "remeasuring" the square footage of the office such that it is 10% BIGGER than it was when we first signed the lease, etc. Don't anticipate anything other than a company working every way possible to maximize the landlord profit, with ill will, ill intent, and no shame. I have to deal with them, but if you have any choice or option to do otherwise, RUN. This company does not give a crap about clients or what is fair. Fair warning. They will only look out for themselves, and everyone needs to know that going in to any interaction with them.
The Agent I talked to was John Machado. Saw the posting on one vacant business space so that's why I called to do some inquiry. He sounded inpatient, and he asked what kind of business it is that for. I answered the type of business, and without other words, he answered "Not interested" and hanged up on me. Yes he did! Just hanged me up right after he said "Not interested". Enough said. Unlike other brokers/agents I talked to that offers other options or being really polite, he's really the worst one I've seen so far.
I have been trying to get hold of an agent for the past two weeks about a property I'm interested in (123 Jasper in Edmonton). Tried calling, emailing all contacts, leaving voice messages (voice mail too full), no reply. The ad says "immediate" possession but if no one can get a hold of anyone then how immediate is it really?
