This operation is a blessing to our area and has done an outstanding job in reducing the numbers of animals killed at our local shelters. The doctors and staff do the best that they can with the resources they have. The good that has come from this organization out weighs the negative by far. Especially when you are comparing the thousands of pets lives which have been saved, and the thousands of pets owners who can now afford care for their pets. I remember the days of waiting in line for hours at Hershel Animal Clinic. FCNMHP has out grown the building in which they open years ago, but thankfully, the new clinic will be opening soon to help accommodate the overwhelming public's need for affordable pet care. No one is this business makes big money, it is a labor of love, and most run on pure passion for the cause. And most of the time we are digging deep into our pockets to provide for the animals. So many of us in the animal rescue world are very thankful for FCNMHP...!!! Keep up the great work, and thank you for all that you have done...!!!!

I skimmed through the reviews today before making a call about my cat, Mouse. There was no reason for checking them out - I was just being nosey! I was truly shocked by some of the negative remarks since all my experiences have been positive. Today was no exception. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly, compassionate and caring. They sincerely love the animals they treat and their customer service skills are always over-the-top. We did not have an appointment, so we had to wait a bit, but being animal lovers - all of us waiting shared stories about our animals. Is the waiting room the Taj Mahal of veterinary lobbies? No. But, it is clean - they stay on top of "accidents" - and while the floor may be a bit worn down - I think it just reflects the number of animals and their owners that have passed through this wonderful facility. I'd much rather see them direct their monies where it is needed rather than on esthetically feng shui seating. They all do a tremendous job and I, for one, respect and admire them for being there. Me and my furry felines are grateful!

I have been to this place myself and had my cat fixed. Customer service was not good at all. My co-worker is sitting there now and has been over 2 hours with a post op problem for her little dog. He was fixed on Saturday and he is only 6.5 pounds and they had a problem waking him up and getting his body temp. regulated. Here it is 3 days later and he won't eat has a hard time walking and he shakes. They have made her wait in the waiting room and said appointments first, and walk ins last. Two nice ladies told her to please go ahead of them. I know a lot of people go there because it is low cost but that is no reason for them to be rude to you and not care about your pet. They are getting paid, but they think they are doing you a favor. The humane society hospital is very reasonable and they treat your pet as family.

I was a little apprehensive after reading all of the negative reviews, but needed to get my dog fixed and Nassau County offered to do it for free, so I took my 15 month old Bernese Mountain dog, who is almost 100 pounds, to get neutered there. I arrived early because I was told it could take 45 minutes to check in. I was third in line and was in and out pretty fast. Monday must be a slower day than the rest because it wasn't too bad getting in. When you check in they give you papers on a clip board and call you back after you fill it out and then take your pet to the back. I can understand the delay if you get there when the crowd gets there, the place can busy from what the other people there told me. I guess this place does get a lot of business despite negative reviews. Yes the check in area is narrow, but they do the best that can with limited space and a with a ton of people using their services daily. The staff was friendly, took my boy in quickly and they seemed nice and acted as if they seemed to like pets, so I didn't have any anxiety leaving my boy there. As for the lobby.. It seemed clean, but smelled like dogs.. Understandable with all of the volume. But it didn't seem filthy to me. Yes seating was limited, yes, the chairs are old and stained and yes the floors are worn in some areas from all of the dogs walking in there, but it's a small area. Prepare to stand if you don't get there early. When I picked up my dog a lady was cleaning the waiting area, disinfecting and mopping. In all, care was good, my dog was neutered for free( Nassau County) when the vet in town wanted to charge almost $300 for a neuter. Yearly shots would be even more. Since I was there, I also got his yearly shots updated that were due at the end of the month and a heart worm test and kennel cough shot.... and All it cost me was 73 bucks! You can't beat that price! Pick up wasn't too bad either. I was told to come back at 330. I was early at three and they don't bring them out early so don't bother trying that. I sat around until 330 and they played a video showing us how to care for our pets. Then an employee came to each waiting individual person and went over care and medication( if you opted to pay the 10 bucks for pain meds, which I did). They explained dosage. A few minutes later my boy came out. He looked good. Was a little groggy but jumped in the car and whined a little on the way home, which is understandable since he was just neutered. At home he took a long cold drink, enjoyed a new bone and seemed perfectly fine. I gave him his pain meds and he is resting and hubby snuck him a couple French fries and all looked ok. This place seems great. The people I met were kind and considerate and I would recommend them. Update: Day two : my boy is bouncing around, tail wagging... Guarding the house and perfectly fine and happy. He looks great!

They have just screwed my dog and we will not go here again. They denied her Trifexis because of a rule the medical director changed and I had no knowledge of this. So instead of being tested for heartworm at 1 yr its now 8 months (like I'm supposed to know this) So needless to say her pill is due on the 20th and today is the 18th and vet-source cant ship. And I am not able to get her there this weekend nor can I take off work next week. They wouldn't even work with me to figure something out. I guess they would like my dog to get sick?! Thanks a lot MEDICAL DIRECTOR! If I could give a zero I would.

I made my first apt. at the the new location. what a great place. My vet tech was Carla, very good with my scared cat. She made her feel at ease, she even quit shaking. Dr. Roese was very thorough and kind. She will be my babies Dr. from now on. The girls up front are very kind and very helpful. Tara took me on a tour of the whole office, what an amazing place, it will be the only vet I will take my darlings too.

This is seriously the most disgusting place I've ever been. I came here because my husband is a cheapskate and wanted to save money, but it's NOT worth it. Even if you have an appointment, you'll be there for at the very least an hour and a half every time. The waiting area is filthy, and every time I've been there someone has a stunk up the whole room with their cat carrier smelling like cat urine. If you're bringing a dog or puppy that's not vaccinated, keep them off the floor because there's got to be all sorts of contagious stuff lingering around the whole place. I feel like I need a shower every time I leave there. My puppy had a rare illness and they misdiagnosed him and he got a lot worse within a week and almost died. Also took him to be neutered here because it was cheaper than most places and once again my husband insisted everything would be fine. They sent my dog home with no e-collar so he licked open his incision 3 days later and I had to bring him back and wait 3 hours for them to even give him an exam. So if you really must go here make sure they give you an e-collar before you leave after picking your dog up from surgery. I forgot to add, they returned my dog to me covered in feces, which was great since I couldn't bathe him for a whole week! So with all that said, unless you're seriously strapped for cash and can't afford to go to a different place, avoid this place at all costs. It's not worth it.

I love this place, with the high costs of medical attention for pets, it makes it so difficult to make regular Dr. Appt for my Cano... This place has definitely helped so much, financially and medically.... When I feared my cani had a skin condition, I found this place and they ran some test... Sure enough they had a proper diagnosis and treatment, saw a remarkable difference in just 2 days ... Now with monthly treatments he stays beautiful and healthy!!! Thank you so much for aiding!!!

I was there today for my dog to get a exam, shots and microchip well he wanted me to pay $47 up front. I only had $10 on me at the time. He said I can't pay that. It had to be 30% if $80 plus the microchip. Well Friday night I took my puppy cuz she was real sick and I didn't have to pay nothing I signed a promissory letter, and walked out without paying a dime. I will probably pay my $125 and not come back. I was treated very badly.

Every person I have ever interacted with at FCNMHP has been wonderful! They are all so helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. From the front office staff to the call center to the vet techs to the vets, I have not had a bad experience dealing with anyone associated with this organization. My family took in a stray cat who was pregnant and then had a second litter before we could get her fixed, so I've spent quite a bit of time at their office getting all eight of these animals taken care of. We've never had any complications from the surgeries and all the staff seems happy to answer all our questions and also listen when we tell them about our pets. Their excellent service makes me feel comfortable trusting my pets with them because I know they will take good care of them because they all clearly love animals just like we do. I'm posting this review across every site I can because everyone needs to know how great this place is, especially since lousy service has become so common, but FCNMHP serves as a shining example of what customer service should be.

I had been searching for some time to find a well behaved puppy and I had finally found a beautiful American Staffordshire that I had believed to be perfect. It seemed very calm for a puppy, was loving, and had a couple small downsides that I was more than willing to deal with. Myself and my fiancee were all set to pick this dog up and take it to a loving and caring home. Then we had to deal with a horrible woman. She was a worker there that just refused to even consider letting us get the dog. She acted as though she cared for finding the dog a good home but everytime I attempted to tell her that he would be well cared for she just repeated that I would not keep him, bring him back, and he would be killed. I assured her this wasn't the case and so she said she needed to see my fiancee AND my landlord who had even offered to give her a call. Well that would take a few days and she was refusing to hold the dog because they "didn't have the space to keep them from going out to a home." I understood but I was trying to fix that problem! My fiancee was also very unhappy about this as she was excited after seeing the puppy in pictures/videos. After calling the exact same woman (who had no clue she was with me), she was told that all anyone had to do to adopt was to fill out a form and pay the $20 fee. Having already filled out the adoption form, this was upsetting to say the least. I visited again because of what she had said and the same thing happened. This woman is not after the well being of the animal as she only judges books by their cover and didn't bother reading my form. She couldn't tell by looking at me that he would be going into a great household, with a large back yard, loving family, and would have been far better off than where he is probably going to end up. The idea of this pet adoption service is great but the employee service seems to be lacking greatly and I will not be adopting from them. Hopefully no others will have to deal with this obnoxious employee.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I would not tell anybody to take their pets here. I have taken all 4 of my babies to this place. My oldest dog is 14 years old. She does has some health issues it comes with age I understand this. But here is the kicker for the pass 2 months I have been bringing her every 2 weeks for a recheck up cause that's what the vet told me to do. Now I have to pay full price for everything which is not a issue with us. But Every time I go I get a different answer of what is wrong with her oh she has a heart condition or she has something else. They put her in all different kind of meds just to see if it is working. How do I know that it is the right meds if they can not tell me what is wrong with her. She is not a guinea pig To keep forcing pills down her throat pills down her throat just to see if they're working Ok I'm paying for this vet to do their job and tell me what is going on with my dog and it seems like they can not tell me. I'm getting the run around from them and it seems like all they just care about money. And all I get from them is oh sorry. A sorry is not good enough not when you are playing with my baby health. Then my other dog is almost 2 years two weeks ago I take him to get his yearly shots and he has lumps where they gave him his shots ( which I know sometimes dogs get after their shots but it doesn't take two weeks to go away)and when I ask about it they tell me just to watch it and if it doesn't go away in a month to call them and they will check him out. Then my other one she is 8 months old she had her booster shot today and now she is limping really bad this is not Normal. This place will never touch my babies again.

After paying what I felt was way too much money for vet bills, it was suggested by a friend to go to No More Homeless Pets. I read the reviews online and decided to give them a try. I have pet allergies and was dreading going for fear of my allergies acting up, like they did at the last vets office. I arrived around 2:00 on a Friday afternoon with no appointment. The waiting room was clean and even smelled fresh, which is amazing considering there are animals all over the place! The waiting area was a little crowded, however I only had to wait maybe two minutes to get registered. My wait in the waiting room was less than 30 minutes! The tech was kind to my dog as was the vet. Less than one hour after arriving, I walked out with my dog's annual exam finished, all shots given, nails trimmed, new Duval county license tag, and heart/flea meds. I paid 50% of what I paid at my previous vet's office and was treated so much better and was in and out quickly. My family has found a new vet!! Thank you NMHP!!!!
