I had a great experience with Dr. James Hardy when I wanted to increase my cup size. He was friendly, professional, articulate and I am very pleased with how everything turned out.

The staff are excellent, and Dr. Hardy is top notch as an artist and physician. I was treated very well and professionally throughout my experience. There is no better in the area - we are fortunate to have a person of his caliber in Jacksonville. His reconstructive work on children for St. Vincent's Health System is also a good indication of Dr. Hardy's reputation. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. James Hardy!

Breast Reduction and Back Liposuction Bottom Line: (25 year old healthy female at the time) I received the breast reduction surgery with multiple complications and didn’t receive the back liposuction procedure, which I paid $2700.00 for. Dr. Hardy seems nice but proceed with caution. His office staff member Deborah “Debbie” Gonzalez is also someone to watch out for. I received a breast reduction and back liposuction surgery by Dr. Hardy after seeing his work on a coworker. My coworker did preface the situation that she had a great experience, but a friend of hers that she also referred to him, to had an awful experience (however the friend was always sickly so she was unable to determine the origin of why). Despite this I figured why not give it a try. After my surgery I experienced pain and complications from the breast reduction including fat necrosis, loss of nipple sensation (which Dr. Hardy says I shouldn’t have experienced), and ongoing pain in the nipple, but never any pain from the back liposuction. Once telling Dr. Hardy that I saw no results of the back liposuction surgery he said he would redo the surgery free of charge and to set up an appointment. I set up the appointment, however it was canceled due to communication errors with his office staff. When I went to reschedule the appointment, he informed me that I would have pay due to the office “powers that be changing.” I began growing suspicious that he never did the back liposuction surgery to begin with. Upon consultation with a different plastic surgeon, the plastic surgeon requested Dr. Hardy’s surgery notes from the procedures. It was brought to my attention that Dr. Hardy didn’t perform the back liposuction procedure according to the post operative notes and upon physical examination and palpation of the area, there were no entry points and proper scarring indicators of the procedure. I went and received a second opinion from another plastic surgeon who concluded the same results. I sent an intent to sue letter to Dr. Hardy with no response. I later called Dr. Hardy where he admitted he received the letter and did not respond and he is now saying he is able to redo the surgery for free again. When I asked him what happened to those “powers that be,” he said don’t worry about it. But at this point after the back and forth and feeling lied to about his work, I feel violated, and I do not want him to perform the procedure; all I want is my money back. When venting to a different coworker about the situation, she told me that her sister-in-law Elaine received a tummy tuck some time ago by Dr. Hardy, in which he had to repair some tissue in her stomach. After a hospital visit to the Emergency Room due to severe infection it was brought to Elaine’s attention that Dr. Hardy didn’t fully complete the surgery and patched her up without saying a word to her. When she brought this to Dr. Hardy’s attention, he admitted he ran out of time and didn’t complete the surgery causing her pain and suffering. He immediately corrected the surgery for her free of charge which was satisfying for her, however it speaks volumes to me that Dr. Hardy was never going to tell this woman he never did what he said he was going to do. I hope this helps with making your decision for his services.
